Whenever I post on my blackberry it seems to do it twice Confused

Iheartpasties · 21/10/2012 07:50

I hate it when dh has a minor complaint and it is similar to something I have had for 6 months or more!! They have no clue at all. My DH has a chouch and a sore throat, and I wanted to tell him imagine having acid coming up your throat every night for 6 months!!! argh!!

I have a midwife appointment tomorrow, I am secretly hoping it will be my last one! Wohoo, come on baby you can arrive any time after tomorrow afternoon, hehe.

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 07:52

apple that is a long standing problem with the app. MNHQ are aware. I do not use the app on my mobile and it is fine. Your are not being a meanie at all.

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2012 08:20

Congrats catbag on your twins they sound amazing. Can't wait for pics!

Ds has a cold so slept longer this morning, didnt get up til 8 was v nice lie in :)

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 08:38

Congratulations Catbag! Awwwww, that was a lovely post Grin Looking forward to hearing your birth story!

I let DP back in bed for the night last night! I missed the company Grin I slept about the same as usual, think I woke at 0530, but managed to stay in bed til just before 8, 'relaxing' hitting DP every time he snored. Would it be wrong to gaffa tape DP in to one position? Ie: the one position he doesn't snore in but refuses to stay in it I'm quite sure it can be justified :)

I've suddenly started symptom spotting, now everything is a sign of labour. My rational midwife brain has completely deserted me! Help! One boob finally leaked - sure sign of labour being near. Dog finally doesn't stink and is allowed near me - sure sign of labour being near. Shiny new nips - sure sign of labour being near. You get the picture! I guess if baby comes now, I won't mind too much. The pineapple shag fest starts here this time next week. DP is going to take me for a drive, we'll have a shag while going over speedbumps, while I shovel 7 pineapples in to me at the same time. Sound feasible? No?!

I had a bit of a panic when I got up this morning - clocks go back next week.... which means we will be in the 3fuckingam club, surely?! I can't wait.... .

I don't want to be in the 3am club waaaaaaaaaaaah!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 09:12

detective pineapple shagging, speed bump driving sounds entirely feasible.

I have decided I don't want baby out yet. I have relaxed a bit - I think because the baby's bedroom is sorted and the house is nearly back to normal I feel I just want to chill with a book. Maternity leave starts tomorrow so it would be nice to get some time to just lie about. I have been off work for two weeks but those were holidays so in my brain I feel I could still go back to work. Odd

I dreamt all night about baby sleepwear. Very odd. I am much more chilled about it now so thank you ladies. I will purchase a couple of cellular blankets and a couple of flat sheets. Maybe someone nice will buy us a grow bag for Christmas when baby will be approximately a moth old so big enough to use it. For some reason I have am convinced that this baby will be 7Ibs no bigger. I have no reason for this at all just feeling.

What's everyone's plans for today? We are having friends over for pudding. Yum yum

mrswee · 21/10/2012 09:17

Congratulations x2 cat what a lovely post. Beautiful names for beautiful babies! good weights too, well done! I hope you heal quickly.

Hi Sophia :) I too am a bit jealous of the babies being born. I'm not due for another 5.5 weeks and even then it could be almost two months.. while most people look like the swallowed a football, well I look and feel like I swallowed a whale!!

The cat came back of her own acord afer about 3 hours out in the dark. phew!

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 09:35

Pass I have had reoccurring birth dreams for the last 3 nights. Me no likey :( They weren't nice!

I hope I start having regular dreams again soon! Baby sleepwear sounds ok to me!!

georgee · 21/10/2012 09:50

Well done indeed catbag, how brilliant to have two lovely, healthy, snuffling babies at once! You've done well, girl. Lovely names too. Must go now as I hear DH and DD are having a 'don't run around with the toothbrush in your mouth' face-off, I need to invervene! x

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 09:51

Is it strange that I barely consider the birth at all. It just doesn't enter my head. I don't know if I am in denial or something.

I get all caught up about other things but labour an birth isn't one of them. Quite glad really as labour dreams don't sound like fun. My dreams are rarely fantastical either - even before pregnancy I tend to have dreams which are pretty normal. Sometimes I would just dream my normal day at school. Pretty depressing when I woke up and realised I had to do the whole thing again and I would be tired like I had worked all night. Very bizarre.

Mind you - the dream about breast feeding the cat . . . Not funny

blonderthanred · 21/10/2012 10:15

Passme I think my brain won't let me focus on the birth, it probably is a type of denial. Even when I dream it glosses over that part. It feels like my brain is putting its fingers in its ears and going la-la-la-la-la-la. maybe it's necessary to stop us panicking?

Weird night last night, woke up at 3am bit sweaty and went for a wee but suddenly had this huge 'shiver', don't know how to describe it without being overdramatic but it kind of wracked my whole body. Teeth chattering, shaking, felt like I was going to vomit and poo. Dived back into bed, DH woke up and tried to ask what was wrong but thought I was saying No as my head was shaking involuntarily. Kept coming in waves every 30 secs or so. Eventually died down after 20 mins or so. Got some more sleep but kept waking up drenched in sweat, however if I took a layer off it felt like the shivering would start again.

I googled and apparently some women shake in early labour or transition due to hormone changes but I am still not contracting or anything, just mild period pains. Anyone have anything like this before or know anything about it?

Iheartpasties · 21/10/2012 10:24

blonder never heard of anything like that, sounds scary. How are you feeling now?

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/10/2012 10:35

Wow well done cat and huge congratulations. Look forward to hearing more and seeing pictures.

Thanks for the thread re house sellers yellowwellies my house has only been on the market a week and I am already really peed off with estate agents. Think I need a good rant on that thread!

I had been eyeing up the mamas and papas starlite swing but couldn't justify the £100+ price tag. Yesterday I popped into a nearly new sale near me and low and behold there was one selling there for £50. The lovely lady agreed to sell it to me for £40 so I snapped it up. Anyway went out last night (which was great fun) and when we got back DH saw the swing in the hall and basically said if I continue to spend money on "shit like that" we won't be able to move house. And there I was feeling very pleased with my bargain! I've hardly bought this baby anything. He's normally fine with me buying whatever I see fit. I blame the booze. He's still not appeared this morning so he probably has a sore head. And he won't be getting any sympathy from me!

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2012 10:39

blonder can't say I've ever had that, v strange!

I've got the baby clothes in the washing machine atm, tiny pink clothes!

blonderthanred · 21/10/2012 10:39

I feel a bit wiped out and I'm having some mild period pain and some movement lower down but nothing more.

It has obviously turned colder but I'm pretty sure the shivering wasn't a genuine 'I'm cold' response, it felt very out of control. Strange.

Anyone have any exciting plans for today?

Iheartpasties · 21/10/2012 10:41

blonder maybe it was adrenaline making you shake?

eliza that was a mean thing for your dh to say! he must have been drunk.

blonderthanred · 21/10/2012 10:57

Eliza that is horrible of your DH. I hope you get an apology but it does sour things when someone says something like that. It sounds like an excellent bargain imo and the baby will love it.

I should probably have checked my temperature and blood sugar in the night but wasn't thinking straight. Oh well. Baby has moved down I think as I feel slightly 'pushed apart'.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/10/2012 11:12

eliza that probably would have made me cry!

blonder that all sounds a bit odd, to me, sounds like an infection, you havent got a uti have you? Or a tummy bug?

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 11:19

Eliza I think he probably panicked a bit, no excuse, but hopefully it was just the drink talking. I don't drink, and DP rarely does, so not sure, but I'd say he probably doesn't remember it this morning! I'd give him evils when he does appear, and make a hell of a lot of noise in the meanwhile Grin

I'm feeling like the perfect housewife today. Let DP lie in, thought I'd make him a brew (I've never ever made him one before as I don't drink them!) and took it up. Excellent timing on my part, as he was literally about to climb out of bed! I've cleaned the kitchen and polished the iron?!?! and done 2 loads of washing. I've swept the hall and kitchen. And this afternoon I'm going to attempt a dog walk, and a walk to Sainsburys for stuff to make cakes with DS. Also making a roast, and have invited MIL over!

I've also decided not only do I have a UTI, but I'm pretty sure I have thrush too. And that is before the antibiotics get started! I'm not impressed! I've not had thrush for many many years! And no idea why either!

DP and DS got my pinards out this morning, and tried to listen to the baby. My lessons have got nowhere, as they still can't do it! I wish I'd had a camera as I lay there with DS on one side and DP on the other, both with a pinard, and both listening to one side each! It was rather funny! DS also decided he wanted to listen to my heart/stomach/bowel Hmm sounds with my stethoscope. He then declared I have a hairy belly (thanks son) and what are those purple things on me. That would be the stretch marks that you gave me 10 years ago child....!

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 11:20

Blonder It does sound like a BM thing. I've experienced such episodes randomly when not pregnant in the past. I don't think it sounds anything to worry about, but obviously the usual disclaimer applies - ring the midwives if you are worried. Only you can know how you feel :)

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 11:22

I forgot to say when I've had it not pregnant it has been because I was exhausted! I've woken up and been exhausted, and this is how I've reacted to it!

But a low BM would explain it also.

applepieinthesky · 21/10/2012 11:26

Eliza That wasn't very nice of him. DP might roll his eyes sometimes when I come home with yet more bags of stuff for the baby but he would never moan about it.

blonder Perhaps this is very early labour? How many weeks are you?

So much for catching up on Downton. I just fell asleep for 2 hours again. Then my mum called with some exciting news. My aunty is coming over from Turkey next Saturday for 10 days. I can't wait. It will be the first time I've seen her since last Christmas and the first time she's seen my bump! Unless baby is early she won't get to see him but will hopefully be back at Christmas.

blonderthanred · 21/10/2012 11:36

Wow Detective that sounds like a mega morning. You are a domestic goddess. By BM did you mean my sugar levels? Thank you for sensible advice as always. I like the pinard thing, looks like a vuvuzela.

Apple I'm 37+5 but being induced on Tues and had sweep on Thurs. Hoping labour does start naturally so it may be wishful thinking but I have had the bloody show so fingers xed.

TheDetective · 21/10/2012 11:40

A domestic goddess... hmmm... I like it! When not pregnant I am usually a domestic goddess. Pregnant - I am a delegate goddess Grin

Yes, BM being blood sugar levels :) Sorry, technical mode there! Blush

blonderthanred · 21/10/2012 11:47

Ah, I couldn't think what the M stood for, I've only had them as BS or BG. I'm hoping motherhood will inspire my inner domestic goddess, I am more of a delegator. As DH says, she's management, I'm workforce. I am an excellent employer though.
