Oh VQ that sounds awful. Poor wee soul sounds like she is really suffering. I hope she gets better very soon

ValiumQueen · 29/09/2012 21:35

Thank you. I want to sleep on her floor tonight, but DH says I cannot. I coped fine at 24 weeks with a broken leg, so figure I will be fine tonight. I would not sleep anyway if I were in our bed. He says she can sleep in with us, but I would be concerned if she were to overheat, and I do not want her being sick in our bed. Easier to wash her bedding. Need to set up a sick bay in one of their bedrooms I think, with two proper beds. I cannot sleep in her bed as it is a toddler bed.

Evilwater · 29/09/2012 21:35

To the lady about the benifts - I'd love to even dream, of having anywhere that amount of money.
DH21- hope your oven gets sorted soon.
Fatima - that's loads more stuff than I have packed. Confused
Jaylee- I'm glad everything is ok.
lolly - I've put a blanket in my bag, just incase it turns colder.

Today I've done a lot compared to the week, done food shopping for me, and nan. Then got lunch for my parents and sister. After that my sister took me out to get shrubs for the garden, as we walk down to the patio so we needed something to make the area safer.

I then planted them, in the flower bed where my cat goes. Sad my MIL told me as I planted half of them. FFS Angry
Finally I get to sit down and my cat sits on my bump, when DP turns up and picks her off me and says "you can catch stuff of the cat!" Angry

My sister questions me on what type of nursey learning I would like, I have NO idea. Then she goes on about how my DP dosn't like our child to have loads of toys. I agree with him, but he HAD to go on about how he didn't even have shoes. She thinks he might be over controlling. Then it was about how I don't have a great releasonship with my MIL. All I said to her was, "I'm tired of trying"

Evil.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/09/2012 21:37

Your poor girls vq. I too would be dubious about the antibiotics, some just don't suit everyone.

Evilwater · 29/09/2012 21:38

VQ- I hope she gets better soon.
Evil.

kissyfur · 29/09/2012 21:49

Hope your DD2 improves soon VQ poor thing. Hope tonight isn't too uncomfy for you and that you get some sleep

applepieinthesky · 29/09/2012 22:31

I hope she improves soon VQ. I would want to be sleeping close to her tonight too.

Just got home from a lovely meal with DP. I'm so full I can't move off the sofa. We went to a local Indian and the jalfrezi made my eyes water but it was very nice at the same time.

DP has to be up early for work but I'm too full to sleep at the moment.

kirrinIsland · 29/09/2012 22:33

Hope she feels better soon VQ

MissMummy1 · 30/09/2012 00:21

Just home. Knackered but lovely chilled evening. One of my friend's friends is a midwife and another is also preggers so it was a very chilled night. Bit concerned that DH is nowhere to be seen. There's a strange collection of musical instruments appeared in my lounge though and the car's still there so he must be on foot. Very confused Confused ......

VQ hope your poor daughter is better soon xxx

GTbaby · 30/09/2012 00:35

What a lazy day! Went to temple this am. Sitting on floor did my hips no good! 15mins n I was agony. But had 2nds of dessert in the dinning hall. Yum.
Came home n hip wouldn't stop hurting so came to bed to catch up on thread. Fell asleep. Woke at 7. Made dinner. N that's my day.

DH is starting to panic a little. As my bags not totally packed. So off we go to shops tomorrow to try buy last few bits. Think I'll get measured in MnS for bra. But order online. I'm quite big so need support, which is hard with no wire! Must start researching mat bras.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 30/09/2012 00:40

The best bras I ever bought for nursing were in debenhams. Miriam Stoppard ones, so supportive and I was wearing a 36FF. They do a non nursing version too GTbaby. I'd avoid M&S measuring at all costs!

Evilwater · 30/09/2012 04:13

I'm still awake, with my right hip in pain. Grr....
I'd like some sleep now, please.
Evil.

ValiumQueen · 30/09/2012 04:14

Thank you for your kind wishes ladies. It really does help x Her temp was down to normal by 9pm so I put her to bed in her room, but set up the cot mattress on the floor just in case. I checked on her each time I was up to the loo, as did DH, and she was fine until 3am. Slight temp, so I stayed in with her. Still not asleep by 3.45 so we came down and are now watching Peppa Pig and drinking juice. She seems pretty good. It is funny how yesterday she seemed like she was 10ft tall, but when poorly they seems so very small. She has not passed urine, which is not surprising. We will go to OOH this morning.

I hope to go back to bed when DH surfaces, but I did get a fairly good night sleep all things considered.

As new parents, you will have NHS24 on speed dial, and intimate knowledge of the Peppa Pig family. You will get stupidly excited when there is a new episode.

nervous I have a sneaky suspicion you may have graduated. I hope not, but if you have, I hope you are both doing ok x

MM naughty DH for going out and not telling you where. Hope he has come back safely, apologetic, and bearing gifts.

GT where I used to work, we were given hospitality free of charge by the local Temple for all our training, and we would be fed too. Training was extremely well attended because the food was out of this world! Nom Nom! I don't envy you the sitting on the floor though. Ouch.

ValiumQueen · 30/09/2012 04:16

Sorry you are awake evil I do hope you get some rest soon. Have you got a memory foam mattress or topper? I swear by mine. Even if you only had pennies for a single topper, it may be worth a try. I have had only the odd night disturbed by pain. It is usually DH, kids or my bladder. Or my sodding leg!

ValiumQueen · 30/09/2012 04:19

I know Home Bargains have singles for about £20.

Evilwater · 30/09/2012 04:22

VQ- I have memory foam mattress. However the pain is keeping me up, that and the snoring. I'm also very glad your DD is doing well.
Evil

ValiumQueen · 30/09/2012 04:32

Snoring is no good! At least the pain will go when the baby comes, and you are very near your date. I had very bad hip pain with DD2 and even after having a section I was in less pain after than before, plus you can take Brufen for it once baby is out. Is there any way the snorer would be able to sleep elsewhere? You need the memory foam, but not the snoring! I find pointy elbows well placed to be quite effective when snoring is unbearable, then pretend to be asleep thus not being blamed.

Evilwater · 30/09/2012 04:36

He will stop, but it was mainly the hip pain. I've drank some milk and I'm feeling a lot better. I think yesterday had a lot to with why I'm up now.
Evil.

ValiumQueen · 30/09/2012 04:43

Yes. Not a good day for you - overdid it a bit, and family being difficult if I recall. Rest today if you can, and be unsociable if you can. And cuddle your cat as much as you damn well please!

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/09/2012 07:35

I completely missed nervous going quiet. What was the last thing she said does anyone know? Did she go into hosp for any reason?

We're going round my parents house for roast dinner later as they're off on hols for 10 days to sunny Spain (not jel at all!)

Think ds is under the weather too he just constantly moans unless watching cbeebies either that or he's teething its hard to tell sometimes.

FatimaLovesBread · 30/09/2012 07:49

GT I'd recommend debenhams like Izzy. In fact I've got the Miriam Stoppard maternity bras and they're v supportive. My boobs aren't huge but are a large cup size with a small back size so I struggle in a lot of shops.
I'd also avoid M&S. There was a huge thread in style and beauty on bra size recently (not just maternity/nursing) and a lot of people have been measured completely worn by M&S.

Evil I sympathise with the hip pain and snoring. I ended up on the sofa again. I don't understand how a man can snore or breathe so loudly and not annoy himself like he annoys me Angry
The sofa was comfier for my hips, lots of pillows to pad me, but not as comfortable for my lower back

TheDetective · 30/09/2012 08:02

I was at the birth of a 36 week baby last night. It is getting scarier ladies... they are like proper newborns inside us now!!

I don't know why I am surprised. I guess it just doesn't seem real to me yet??!

Driving home this morning, I came across a man riding a bicycle down the motorway. What a total idiot! He just cycled across a slip lane without even looking! I had to pull over once off motorway and report it to police, it was so dangerous. Not even a helmet on!

I had a cheeky wee scan last night by one of our doctors, just to check the position for me! I was just chatting about it, and she offered to check - how lovely! And we have success! Head is down! He's ROT, which means his back is on the right, and he is looking directly sideways. He also had his hand by his face - which he has done on every scan! Guess he likes his hand! He isn't in the pelvis yet, so I have to work on some optimal positioning, but at least he's headed in the right direction Grin

Goodnight!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/09/2012 08:09

I too would stay away from M & S, as the measuring is completely arse about tit and they have their own sizing regime so people keep going back and the bras are horrid. The best place I was ever measured was John Lewis adn I haven't looked back. And....I too would jump on the Miriam Stoppard bandwagon, I have had one over the last two pregnancies and I love it. (but not as much as my HotMilk but they are a bit pricey)

Off to see a friend from my antenatal course the first time round, 8years ago, today and hit Bicester Village for a Bit of Chrimbo shopping and lunch, sadly excited!

Xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/09/2012 08:10

And detective so the 36 weekend, was all ok, are they pretty much developed enough by then?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/09/2012 08:10

That was meant to say weeker
