giddy my bones creaking cracking and clicking all the time sometimes if I move too fast in the wrong direction i injure myself :( my jobs really physical too so I have to be quite careful. It has to be the pregnancy making everything soft cos I'm usually quite a tough cookie!

mama glad to hear a positive update as always just keep them coming!

aufaniae the only prob with drinking a cup before bed.... Your gonna have to get up for an extra wee!!!

Some people feeling movement!!! I'm quite jealous hehe!! Sometimes I think I feel something but then moments later its clear what it was iykwim!!!! So I'm looking forward to that day!

...And awake, it's already been an hour-grrrr! Getting up for toilet is one thing but being WIDE AWAKE after is literally doing my head in Sad

SneezySnatcher · 20/10/2012 08:19

I'm with you on the night-waking. I was up at one for the loo and it took over an hour to go back to sleep. At least it was only once - most nights it's at least two or three times.
Really struggling to get comfy in bed too. All of my joints are clicking and creaking and my boobs are still so painful. I'm sure last time they stopped hurting by now (they still grew mind) but this time they are agony!

Mama1980 · 20/10/2012 08:46

Morning all, glad it's not just me with the early wakings-misery loving company and all that very sorry! Smile if the nurse wakes me again for my blood pressure I might scream.
is anyone else really cold all the time? i don't remember the cold from pg before so maybe it's just my 'condition'?
Havingalittlefaithbaby : the bleeding can fluctuate apparently but it won't stop, my placenta will rupture and when that happens they will only have a few minutes apparently which is why I'm here. Best case scenario is that they control delivery as late as possible before the placenta gives up the ghost. They are monitoring the deterioration and scanning every other day. I'm aiming to get to Christmas still pregnant Grin

Dandelion75 · 20/10/2012 09:39

Goodness mama - I think we are all impressed wit how you are taking this in your stride Smile Keep it up, you're doing great! I'm not cold all over, just my hands and feet. Can't seem to get them warm - am living in Totes Toasties (not a great look!)

Sounds like we've all had a bad nights sleep. Why does that happen on a Friday when I'm at my most tired?! Was wide awake by 4.30. Pottered about and read a book, and got about an hour more sleep at about 6. Rubbish!

Clicky joints over here too - my hips crack so loud it's like a gun shot. Freaked some colleagues out in a big meeting yesterday when I shifted in my seat. It was like machine gun fire Grin

FlaminNoraImPregnantPanda · 20/10/2012 09:55

I'm the opposite. I feel like I'm being cooked alive. I'm kicking all the covers off during the night despite the freezing temperature here. A few weeks ago I was taking a hot water bottle to bed, now I'm having to resist the urge to open all the windows.

LoobyLou33 · 20/10/2012 10:14

mama great news about your latest scan. I presume when the baby is delivered you'll stay in hospital for a while as s/he would be in a nicu type unit? DS was in one of those not premature but for an infection and the staff were so wonderful and lovely with the little babies. Have you got your own room?

mrsjohn very sorry to hear about your loss, hope your family is coming to terms with it OK. Even if you were ambivalent about the pregnancy I'm sure it's tough - those 6 or 7 weeks feel like a long time.

I often go to bed feeling chilly then about 2am throw off the covers!! So gross -DS woke up 5 times last night. I had to eat 3 digestives to get me through til morning (find crackers too dry), sometimes it's like there is a growling bear in my tummy that must be fed!

enjay0811 · 20/10/2012 12:37

Hi all, need to catch up on the posts but as some are thinking bout buying stuff for babe, just saw this deal on groupon for £159 plus £25 delivery www.easygiftproducts.co.uk/baby-child/2199-3-piece-nursery-sets.html hope its of use to one of you! X

Dysgu · 20/10/2012 13:08

Hi All,
It is such a long time since I posted on this thread - but thank you very much to those of you who PM'd me to check in.
This being my third PG and me being older this time, I just got to stressing too much that something would go wrong so I have spent the past few weeks burying my head in the sand and trying not to think about it too much. Work is manic but that just adds to the exhaustion but does keep me busy and I can honestly say I have not read a single PG magazine this time round - yet!

Anyway, I had my scan on Tuesday and everything is fine. Is a stubborn little thing right now and refused to get into a very good position for posing for snapshots but its measurements look okay. Is facing downwards and looks like a duck - may rename is Quackers!

We will not be finding out what colour it is until it arrives - both DDs were surprises too and we don't mind what colour we get this time.

We told the girls on Tuesday - both are very excited and DD2 (3) has already picked names (Molly and Jack). DD1 (6) is more concerned about whether this one is going to be a 'nuisance like DD2).

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone else. Congratulations to the recently up-duffed and fingers crossed for anyone going through tough times.

Mama1980 · 20/10/2012 17:56

Guess it just me freezing then Grin
Loubylou- yes They expect baby to be in scbu for a while depending how early they have to deliver. Ds was born at 26 weeks and needed several operations so unfortunately have experience of this.
My dd 14 is very excited about the baby ds at 4 less so Smile I got too see them both for hours today which was wonderful. I am not allowed my own room ( incase i haemorrhage- i swear these drs like to scare people! Grin) but have a cubicle thing by the nurses station on a maternity ward above the labour ward, not much privacy but at least I can people watch.
You have to stay positive don't you? Outright panic is the only other option.

kellestar · 20/10/2012 18:36

Hey all.

Sorry to hear about your loss MrsJD.

mama glad to hear you are still hanging on in there. I am freezing all the time, apart from middle of the night when I just have to fling off all the covers and chill myself out. DH is grumpy about having the heating on, but there are only so many jumpers and cardis one can wear before you start looking like the staypuft [wo]man. I also have broken out my totes slipper socks too!

I had a good rummage at an NCT sale today in Frome [completely forgot it was on] so had to scrabble out the house in a rush. Picked up some vests and gros in small sizes. We had lots of 0-3 when DD arrived, but nothing smaller, we were limited by the huge amount of snow and it being christmas... she spent two weeks in the bodies of the gro's and not even filling out the legs and arms for a good three months :)

I've had a bit of a grumble at DH as last night he came home early and complained about the filthy mess that the house was in and that dinner wasn't cooked [planned take out night]. Our house wasn't filthy... it was messy. I'd been out to see a friend in the morning, console my brother about loosing his job and then on my way home had to stop and puke in a hedge twice :( Envy. So I'd come home and curled up on the sofa with George [Season 5 ER, his last, sadly] and left DD to play on the floor in front of me. She decided to get every toy she had out. [easy to clear up, sweep it into the toy box and it's gone] 20 minutes later at 3pm he walks through the door with an attitude. Grrr. He also had the damn cheek to snore LOUDLY last night and actually woke me at 4.30am, so got up for my pee and put my cold hands on him when I got back in to stop the snoring. He had the cheek to moan about having a bad nights sleep as I kept kicking him. He just seems to not be able to cope with me not being fully functional [not that I was that domesticated to start with] I expressed my worry about how things will be a little bit slow to get used to having a newborn and a toddler. His quote was 'it's not that complicated is it, just clean when the baby's asleep'.

Those of you struggling to get back to sleep try the NCT birth preperations CD, the hippie/chill out music is great at sending me to sleep. Had it on my ipod with headphones ready for the late night pee return.

Giddypants · 20/10/2012 19:33

mama you are incredibly brave, I went though that when I had DS but I was at home, I didn't bleed but just had some period type pain. I joint want to say too much because it was a bit of a nightmare.

Been shopping for some maternity trousers I have a wedding next Saturday, mamas and papas have a sale on at the mo, picked up a bargain pair of cords usually £38 reduced to £15

My bump is huge I look further on than what I am, think I'll have difficulty fitting through doors in a few weeks!
17+0 it's flying now!

Mama1980 · 20/10/2012 20:25

Sorry to hear you went through similar giddypants Sad it is a bit like being plunged back into my worst nightmare tbh I was diagnosed last year with PTSD. But there's not much choice is there but to hang tight and hope.
When are you due? Sorry can't check the list on here, I'm the 1 st of April they think.

As far as maternity stuff goes, my mum has bought me in some lovely thick stretchy leggings from h and m- they are very comfy. She said they were only 8£ as well.

Giddypants · 20/10/2012 21:35

I'm due 30th march, but all being well will have a planned section middle of march, see the consultant on Tuesday. I also had PTSD post DS had to have a lot of counciling afterwards, hoping things will be much different this time round.
Working all day tomorrow hopefully I can make it to week 26 before I may have to consider going off sick with SPD/PGP

EssexWelsh · 21/10/2012 00:44

EssexWelsh · 21/10/2012 03:42

Just got in from EPAU, everything appears 'normal' no idea what bleeding was but has stopped now. On plus side had bonus scan to see heartbeat and had a little wave. Only now going to bed so exhausted, fingers crossed don't wake in night again. 24 more weeks of stressing out, don't think my nerves will take it!

16+0 Grin

Mama1980 · 21/10/2012 07:37

Oh essexwelsh how scary. So relieved everything is ok Smile did they say what they thought happened? I hope you can rest and get looked after/spoilt all day. Xxx

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 21/10/2012 08:23

essex I had spotting for 12 hours last Saturday. OOH diagnosed UTI and gave me antibiotics, it stopped after I started taking them. It was utterly terrifying but the scan reassured me. I think a bit of spotting is daily common but when it starts you assume the worst! Glad you've seen the baby again and it's ok :)

Teapig · 21/10/2012 09:36

That must have been really scary Essex, so glad you got the all clear and even got to see your little one again.

Hang on in there mama it must be so tough but you're doing amazingly.

I had a bra fitting yesterday and it was life changing. I've gone from a B to a D and I am a thousand times more comfortable. Gives me a great excuse to go shopping today.

Missmuffet28 · 21/10/2012 11:30

Lol teapig I was mortified at my bra fitting I'd already run in a few weeks prior and picked up some 38e bras as mine were a bit uncomfy but they were still not right so went in a few weeks later and ended up with 38G!!! No wonder they were falling out and still hurting!!! Sooo much better having a good fitting bra I got the mothercare firm support ones they aren't very attractive but I don't give a crap they are soooo comfy!!
I had wondered why dp was forever staring at them I do hope they shrink again I couldn't bare them this size for the rest of my life!!

Missmuffet28 · 21/10/2012 11:32

Damn it too early!!! Essex hope you got a good sleep in the end haven't had to go down that road yet but I know it would really frighten me!

14+5 :)

Dysgu · 21/10/2012 11:34

Gosh this being pregnant is not always easy, is it? At least the end result is worth it!
The spotting must have been terrifying essex but glad everything is fine and that you got to a bonus scan to reassure you.

Tea you have just reminded me that I need to get some new bras sorted - where did you go?

FlaminNoraImPregnantPanda · 21/10/2012 12:24

My lovely husband bought me a maternity pillow yesterday. I slept like a baby last night. Worth every penny.

birdbrain17 · 21/10/2012 12:47

Is anybody else really nervous since MrsJD's message?! I can't help worrying the whole time now that something has happened but I wouldn't know!My 20 week scan isn't till 21st November seems like ages away I'm trying not to worry because I know it's not good to get stressed but it's soooooo hard!!!!!
16+0

Teapig · 21/10/2012 13:40

Mismuffet isn't it amazing when you finally get the right size? Dysgu I went to Debenhams. They had a good range of bras and a good selection in the sale. I didn't go for maternity in the end but I'm so happy to finally be comfortable!

birdbrain I know how you feel. Pretty much every day I worry that something has gone wrong since the 12-week scan and my body just hasn't registered it yet. I'm hoping to hear a heart beat at my 16-week appointment the week after next, have you had yours yet? I don't think I'll relax until after the 20-week scan and will still probably find things to worry about then. I think it's natural to worry but try not to stress. There's no reason that everything isn't absolutely fine and I'm sure you'll find you've been worrying for no reason.
