Fab post VQ.

On a totally different tangent, we're off out for dinner with pals tonight - for a proper slap up grown up meal at a fancy restaurant (ok Orkney fancy not London fancy) - I wonder how many more such nights we'll fit in before the small fry turns up. Eekk.

Oh tits - that's awful hope you have a friends house you can go to whilst you wait.

YellowWellies · 13/09/2012 17:00

HAhahaha rude crossposting! hehehe male midwife eh VQ? makes much more sense of the definition of the term midwife... Grin

MissMummy1 · 13/09/2012 17:49

Just drove for an hour - okay, most of it was in stop/start rush hour traffic - and I can still feel my legs! Pregnancy yoga is working, just a few weeks ago 20 mins behind the wheel left me crippled!

daisychain76 · 13/09/2012 17:50

Thanks for all your nice messages. Is def pre~eclampsia, but hopefully can go home tomorrow and just come in as a day patient every couple of days. l?m 31.5 and l think the aim is to reach 36 or 7 weeks.

re bfing l think a lot of it does depend on the support you get from mw/hv ~ mine were so good l would have felt really guilty stopping then couldn?t wean dd off til she was about 2!

horseylady · 13/09/2012 18:07

Daisy take care!! Glad they are letting you out!

NervousAt20 · 13/09/2012 18:14

donna glad everything went well at your scan!

fatima I have lists for everything otherwise I don't feel prepared enough and I have serious case of baby brain and forget everything lately!!

In the delivery room it will just be me and DP and if I needed my mum then she'll be ready to dive in a taxi before she's answered the phone bless her

valium take a couple of packs of maternity pads just to the hospital? How many do you think to have in the house then?

daisy thinking of you, at least they know and can keep a good eye on you and LO

WOW garden they are both great weights!!

Had a hormonal rage this morning, my nursing chair came so opened it up and it's blue Angry and not the chair I ordered, I was raging and teary Hmm the stupid company haven't answered their customer service phone all day and they haven't responded to any of my emails!!

I've made dinner but wondering how naughty it would be of me to run to the Chinese for chicken spring rolls, I really really want them Sad

horseylady · 13/09/2012 18:31

Yw if you and the baby want them you must need them!!!!

Hope you get the chair sorted!! Sure you will.

applepieinthesky · 13/09/2012 18:38

daisy at least they know what it is and will take good care of you. Every day your little one is still in there they will be getting stronger and stronger.

I think I mentioned before that my trust only does a one day antenatal class now. I found a good private one which Is a mixture of birth education, yoga and hypnobirthing but haven't booked it yet as couldn't afford it until I get paid again. Spoke to my mum just now and she said to book it and she will give me the money for it Smile I'm really pleased because the NHS one sounds like a waste of time and it would be really helpful being a first time mum, plus I would like to meet some other mums due around the same time as me.

ValiumQueen · 13/09/2012 18:49

YW thank you.

nervous I guess it depends how easily you can get more supplies in, and if there are free ones on the unit, and how long you are in for. They are very bulky, so you do not want to take a dozen packs in. If DH can easily pop to the supermarket before visiting, then a couple of packs should be enough to start with. It also depends how much you bleed, obviously. It is worth getting proper maternity ones, but I put a winged one on first as the mat ones can leak down the side. If you plan to chuck your granny pants it may not be such an issue.

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/09/2012 20:27

I'm in bed now after a long shower. My thighs are chaffed to buggery though, something I only get whilst in the later stages of pregnancy but boy does it smart.

Can we discuss boobs and leakage?Blush
I have slight leakage from both for a while now but one side is way more productive that the other. I recall DS preferring that side when he was fed all those years ago. Does it mean anything? Is it common to have? DP is intrigued by the whole thing, if he pokes my boobs again I may accidentally smother him with them. Wink

mrswee · 13/09/2012 20:41

Hi all

you are very busy girls! I havent even posted here yet! can anyone sumerise.. I've attempted to catch up and got to 15 pages and given in!

Well 11 weeks for me and we haven't even finished our new flat yet, or done much packing here or get this place any where near ready to rent. I'm getting very stressy pants about it all.

We've basically ran out of money with only just enough to pay for what needs done in the house.. nothing really for the rented flat and even worse no savings left to buy stuff for the baby.
I think I need a baby shower!

had my 28 wk midwife ap on monday. She couldn't work out how the baby was lying or find the heartbeat because of my anterior placenta. She could get the blood going through the plancenta and my heart beat. Anyway the baby was kicking so I wasn't too freaked out.

mrswee · 13/09/2012 20:52

I am however very excited about xmas this year... not much money but new house where a xmas tree will look fab, a new baby and a 3 year old.
Aperently the street we have moved to, everyone does xmas lights outside. I used to think that was a bit naff but my DD loves it so it will be very exciting! I must at least chip in by chucking some fairy lights at the fir tree in the front garden!

ValiumQueen · 13/09/2012 20:58

tits lanisoh is very good for chafed thighs.

I have gone up to an E cup. Never been that breasty.

TheDetective · 13/09/2012 21:18

I want to rant.

I won't.

But I want to.

horseylady · 13/09/2012 21:20

Vq I was thinking that my boobs have never been this size either!!! I'm a 36 d??!!

Just done my first nct was good, seem a lovely group and very informative!!!! I still feel sorry for babies though going through all that :( good job they don't remember!!

horseylady · 13/09/2012 21:21

Detective - cross post - rant away!!!

Cacacaz · 13/09/2012 21:22

Daisy sorry to hear about the pre eclampsia, I hope you get home and they are able to monitor you daily.

Apple are the classes you have found Lazy Daisy? If so I thoroughly recommend them, I love mine.

I had a scan on Monday at 32 weeks as my placenta had been low lying, it has now moved, the sonographer said the exit is now clear Grin

We have been busy sorting out babies nursery this week. I washed an ironed all the clothes and bedding whilst hubby built the cot, wardrobe and cheat of drawers. I love them Grin

TheDetective · 13/09/2012 21:22

No point Horsey. It isn't going to make me feel any better :(

Just fed up of life and having to jump through other people hoops.

Wish I was better at saying fuck off :(

horseylady · 13/09/2012 21:42

Fair enough - I'll send you a little hug on the off chance that helps!!

I have just removed dressing - yuk :(

TheDetective · 13/09/2012 21:51

Thank you Horsey.

I am plotting revenge. Not really. I am plotting how to get to bed in the next 5 minutes so I can forget about today!

applepieinthesky · 13/09/2012 21:52

Yes I think so cacacaz. I'm looking forward to it. First class is on 1st of October and as long as baby isn't too early I should just make all the classes!

FatimaLovesBread · 13/09/2012 22:07

I'm currently in a F cup!! I'm guessing they'll grow to at least a FF maybe a G Shock

daisychain76 · 13/09/2012 22:08

Just spoke to consultant who tells me l won?t be leaving hospital til baby born and is fairly likely to be a c section before 34 weeks. Sorry to be a bit gloomy and just posting about self, but quite stressed out atm Sad. l wanted to hear a good rant to take my mind off it Smile

blonderthanred · 13/09/2012 22:10

Sorry to hear it Daisy, must be very frustrating and more than a bit anxiety-inducing.

MissMummy1 · 13/09/2012 22:20

Oh gosh daisy sending lots of hugs and best wishes your way xxxx You're in the best place and they're clearly monitoring you well. 34 weeks is a strong stage to get to. Just take each day as it comes. Thinking of you.
