Nah, my norks are a bit rubbish too. I'm a 34C - always thought I was a 36B but Rigby and Peller put me straight. They haven't really got any bigger this pregnancy, just slightly fuller. DH v disappointed :). Nipples though, that's another thing. They are slightly frightening. Hope the baby's got a big mouth!

tiddleypompom · 28/08/2012 12:57

Another with not humungus norks, though they surprised both DH and I when milk came in. Shame I also had post-birth (deflated football) belly too.

Hard to catch up as I have missed a day or so, but re: plans for baby sleeping arrangements, we are buying a toddler bed for DS and baby will have the cot. Moses basket for first few weeks in our room then Moses basket in cot till big enough for cot alone. DS was in his own room after two weeks and we all slept better. Hoping two children can share room without waking each other constantly - we shall see.

Nothing to report here. Busy but happy w/end with guests, DS still got dodgy tummy so bad nights. Nausea pretty much gone except when hungry or v tired. 14 weeks yesterday.

Sorry to be perfunctory, am marking place so as not to get completely bloody lost & have DS climbing all over me. Yes to whoever asked if older children are causing unintentional hurt/damage to esp sensitive bits...

If it helps I look more likes B cup than an E cup. I think that makes it worse somehow. MrM is particularly unimpressed by new lingerie. Here's hoping I return to previous size and nicely matching underwear soon.

Sheldonella · 28/08/2012 13:19

Hi all. Hormones are getting the better of me today. I have just been quite rude to a charity collector. I was rushing down the street on my lunch break as always and he tried to stop me. I did my usual "can't stop, sorry" and he shouted after me "why?". So I shouted back "because I have a job" in a way more venomous voice than I meant to Blush. Still, they annoy me with their harassment.
I'm watching the pram and nursery furniture with interest. manda we are planning to use our box room too rather than dismantling our study. The problem with ours is that it has a fixed bed that we can't take out so all we can really fit in there is the cot and a cupboard/wardobe. We shouldn't need to buy much in the way of furniture as we have DH's wardrobe/bookcase and chest of drawers from when he was a child and they are in great condition.
I keep looking at prams too and have noticed the Phil & Teds Dot which I would like to see in real life. At some point I think I will have to go to London and seek these out.
JoJo Hope all goes well today and your travels are a bit easier.
I'm hoping we get the offer of hand me downs as the nursery list is looking a bit expensive. We had an offer of a moses basket last time in March so if that is still on offer we might accept it.
2 more days to scan! I'm really starting to panic now as I miscarried at 12 weeks last time. I had lost my symptoms though and this time I definitely haven't. My latest hormonal worry is about the ingredients in my face cream and the fact that the doctor pressed very very hard on my stomach when she examined me in hospital a couple of weeks ago.

zoeymlucas · 28/08/2012 13:34

I can see why your nervous about scan sheld but everything will be fine - positive thinking but I know you wont feel better till you see your dancing bean :)

My C cup boobs are now an E - DH has no chance of getting near though as are always hot and sore!! Poor bloke he is still sulking that after this week there will be no sex until after baby is born and I am recovered from that so maybe April - you would think I had given him a life sentance by the suling and lip pulling!!

Looking forward to dinner as am anemic so DH is making me steak to help with homemade chips :)

With Ds Sarah my nipples were scary and when I started expressing it got silly - I was scared of them let alone anyone else they were HUGE - thankfully they went back to normal!

Lexiindisguise · 28/08/2012 13:37

MrsRigby I don't think you should let your colleagues make you feel bad - it sounds like they are very silly and childish. You've done nothing wrong.

Well I may be tempting fate here - but I have just bought a buggy Blush!
One of my colleagues is selling hers and it's in great condition and a good price so DH & I have decided to go for it. Am going to have to hide it from my Mum; she freaked out at the weekend that a friend has offered me the Moses basket, as apparently it's terrible luck to have cots & prams in the house before the LO appears! Hmm. DH & I think that if the worst happens, having a buggy somewhere will be the least of our worried.

JoJo hope you feel better soon and the funeral is fitting.

Manda another one who thinks having the twins sleeping head to toe will just be unbelievably adorable!

Lexiindisguise · 28/08/2012 13:38

sheldon good luck with your scan. Natural to be nervous, keeping everything crossed for you!

FloweryBoots · 28/08/2012 13:41

I'd be quite happy with a B cup!

Shell sorry you're feeling hormonal today. It's a good sign in a way though and fingers crossed for your scan, not long now.

My toddler DS likes to climb all over me and has recently begun a (quite unplesent) phase of head butting. Not good. I'm rehsus negative so I bet I end up having about a gazillion anti-D injections this time round! Asked the midwife about how hard a knock/bash headbut, kick, thump it needed to be to require an anti-D jab and she said 'yes if your toddler hits you fairly hard that will be enough' but also that there was no need until after 12 weeks.

Sleeping wise DS was in with us till about 14 months I think, maybe longer. He wasn't a good sleeper (still isn't great) and we just found it easier having him right there rather than having to trudge down the hall to the other room and the piano didn't fit in the spare room very well as well as the cot and there was no where else to put it as DH said it would be 'ridiculous' to have it in our room, yet seemed to think it was fine to have it in DS room

DS fell asleep over an hour ago on the sofa when I said he could watch one Cbeebies programme before lunch. Have pruned a tree, cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed upstairs - must be feeling better!

pinkpeony4 · 28/08/2012 13:59

Lexi I would also really recommend the Maxi Cosi car seat. If you can, get the Isofix base for the car too. It makes it so easy to get in and out. For a lightweight easy to fold buggy I would highly recommend the Baby Jogger City Mini. You can also attach the Maxi Cosi to it. I have had loads of buggies including a really expensive Bugaboo and the Baby Jogger is my favourite. The fold is amazing. You can get them on ebay too if that helps.

JoJo I got an Angel Care monitor for ds3 from Argos. It was reduced to £30 in the sale so maybe hold on incase they have another baby event/sale? I hope that the funeral is Ok today.

Manda & Harriet I also have Hot Milk bras which were the least frumpy ones I could find with ds2. They aren't underwired but manage to give a nice shape. I bought mine from Blooming Marvellous but they don't exist anymore. I think they have them on the New Look website?

Mine were all in the Moses Basket for 3-4 months. I always swaddle and they fitted in perfectly. It was handier for having them in my room. I have to admit that in the early months they tend to start in the Moses Basket and end up in bed with me after the first feed. I feed lying down and fall back to sleep! Smile

Shield Good luck for your scan. Try not to stress too much. Still having symptoms must be very reassuring after last time.

I just got a delivery from asos of maternity tops and vests and they are enormous. I got a size 12 which is my normal top size. Has anyone else got clothes from here before?

Collect the boys from my Mothers yesterday and it was so lovely to see them. Our house was far too quiet without them!

Good luck to anyone having a scan today.

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 28/08/2012 14:20

Pink, my ASOS stuff arrived and it was all I could do to not cry!

Everything was huge, ugly, unflattering and old looking. I just didn't feel like me. I normally order petite as I'm five foot three and like things to my knee, not shin! Everything was so long, I looked like a nun. So so not me. I'm an Essex girl ffs, I need to look nice! DP was very lovely and complimentary but it's all going back bar the leggings. Off to new look with my sister to see if I have better luck there.

pinkpeony4 · 28/08/2012 14:32

Turkish that is exactly how I felt when I opened it. Soooo frumpy when on the website it looked nice. Rubbish! Back to looking for more clothes. I just want some that are a little bit trendy and not remotely frumpy. Topshop was good last time and the Oxford St branch has a good maternity dept. Just have no time to get there. Might try H&M tomorrow, their skinny jeans look Ok on the website.

Were the leggings Ok? Are they overbump?

IWantAChipButty · 28/08/2012 14:36

I haven't posted in a while, was putting off getting involved until I had my scan.
Had scan yesterday good news is baby is fine although I have been put back a week but they found I have cysts on both ovaries one 5cm the other is 7cm. On my notes it says probably dermoid cysts which I obviously came home and Googled and am now freaking out that I will lose the baby/both my ovaries or have cancer or something. Can someone talk some sense into me?! Sad

zoeymlucas · 28/08/2012 14:38

Having the day from hell - I actually hate my job right now! Am totally exhausted and its not helped that over th weekend I managed a nap everyday so today is killing me and been her from 8.00 even though I dont start till 9.00 - one of my asssitants is of sick he sounded bloody fine on the phone and the director has his can you 'just' do this head on and totally dont get that actually have things too do today that HAVE to be done like collectin DD's from customers so we have money in bank - plus am itchy as hell and have taken my rings off as fingers are bleeding!
I just want to cry but I dont think I have the energy right this second

Sorry for the ranty me, me, me post but thought it better to do it here than at the next person who approaches me office - I have managed not to take any time off sick so far but thinking I might need a couple of days as am reaching the end of my rope!

This is not being helped by my operation being 2 weeks tomorrow and this is the first I have been into hospital to have an operation since the pervert was let out of prison in July and have spent the morning looking at online articles to make sure I remember every detail of his face preparing myself for high alert when I go in! I know its stupid as he was banned from working in hospital for life but I cant help myself!

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 28/08/2012 14:52

chip please please don't panic- I had the same on one ovary, it is really common and mine burst (I think) and was gone when I was rescanned. It happens all the time and I was really scared too! Have they done your bloods for ovarian cancer? Mine came back the next day clear- your mind should be put at rest if you haven't heard from them today.

Please don't worry- they can whip them out really easily these days if you do have to have them out and it is key hole surgery with minimal risk to the baby.

Again, please don't worry and ask to see gyno again if you need reassurance- mine were great at putting me at ease.

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 28/08/2012 14:55

zooey honestly love, pack up your stuff and go. Have the afternoon off. Nothing is more important that your health and you sound stressed! Go home. Nap. Relax. Go in tomorrow feeling a bit brighter, or take more time. Work is always going to be there- you and baby are more important right now.

Lexiindisguise · 28/08/2012 14:59

zoey another vote for taking some time off, sounds really stressful! Don't worry about ranting to us!
Hope you can find something for the itch. I'm an eczema sufferer & find Aveeno intensive hand cream & bath & shower oil really help.

theTramp · 28/08/2012 16:20

Iwant - I second don't worry on cysts front. I've got them too & it's no problem.

Zoey - give yourself a breather (or head home I you can). I just took 30 mins to myself because I really needed it. A walk to coffee shop, a browse in shoe shop and all to a few calming tunes on my iPhone. I'm still shattered but I'm no longer frazzled. I got back to desk & knocked out two docs in no time at all - Id been sat staring at a blank screen til then. And make sure you have some time to yourself tonight too. Doesn't matter if it's reading a trashy mag, a chapter of a non work related book or a bubble bath just a bit of you time. You sound like you really really need it.

Re:Asos clothes, how weird. I've avoided buying them because the non maternity wear is tiny - never long enough & I always have to get two sizes bigger. I may reasess. I have opposite prob to you though. 6ft rather than 5ft3. Have you tried jojomamatambien (I'd that right?)? They seem to have nice gear at reasonable prices although all way too short on me sadly. I love stripey jumper dresses ESP short ones but there's short & there's put it away love short ;)

theTramp · 28/08/2012 18:59

Thank you for hot milk bra tip. They are awful pricey though, so I think I'll nix those. Thankfully when I looked them up on fig leaves I realised there were some not so ghastly bra's available so have ordered some more. So I have now spent a grand total of £100 on 6 new bra's that I would in different times have had to have been forced at gun point to buy. Ah the joys of pregnancy. I wouldn't trade it in though.

Hope everyone's having a relaxing evening. A few frazzled mums to be on here that sound like they need it.

PS - ASOS gear, out of interest what did you buy? I am considering a cute peter pan collared long sleeved dress (although it does look quite short on the 5ft11 model, and I'm taller than her) and a bretton striped top. I really like the look of the purple skinny jeans as well (I would never even think of wearing purple trousuers usually, what is happening to me?!) but it would appear that they would be somewhat shorter than I require. Which is a shame. Have noted your - it looks frumpy in real life but seemed cute on site - comments and am curious.

DontSayWhatSayPardon · 28/08/2012 18:59

Hi ladies. Have been lurking for a while, not wanting to tempt fate by joining before scan but feel bad about stalking! So hope you don't mind if I join? I'm 11 weeks today, My EDD is 25th March at the mo and this will be Dc2 (Ds is 3 next week). Oh and I'm 37...for another 1.5 weeks anyway! Nice to meetcha! Grin

theTramp · 28/08/2012 19:14

hi there Dontsay

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 28/08/2012 19:33

Hi dontsay

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 28/08/2012 19:48

Hi don'tsay! Congrats on the pregnancy!

thetramp I ordered so much...mostly sale things- I got a tie waisted navy blue dress (looked like a sack!) a stripy skater dress (so so long and big!) two tulip dresses...I nearly cried when I put them on. They swamped me and made me feel like a very colourful sack of potatoes. In non sale I bought a navy belted dress, it was far too long, which was a shame as I liked it the best.

I have just gone to lakeside, bought a few pieces from H&M and will feedback. The problem is I need five different dresses for work, I can't wear the same dress more than once and it has to be smart enough for work and suitable for this awkward middle stage of pregnancy. Ugh.

I think I find this extra emotional as a huge part of my eating disorder centred around clothes, what clothes fit, not fitting into clothes etc. Although I have made huge progress, I need to know I have clothes to wear, that fit, that don't feel too constricted and I feel like me in.

theTramp · 28/08/2012 20:32

Turkish - re work dresses, have you looked at two dresses that you can mix up with accessories in order that they don't look like the same dress?

For instance, a LBD which you can wear with a white shirt underneath for one look, with a polo neck jumper for another look and with a colourful blazer for a third look. And say one coloured dress, which again, you can wear with aforenoted accessories so it doesn't look the same. I often find different coloured tights make LBDs seem different, as does wearing with long boots, or with heels. With a belt or with a waistcoat - that sort of thing.

This may be more difficult, but it may not - hence the question about whether or not you have tried it.

I've been looking at Isabella Oliver and criminey but it all adds up awfully quickly doesn't it. I think I will bite the bullet and buy their stripey dress, cause I love stripes and I would never be out of it. For the LBD I think e-bay is the way to go as there are a lot of dresses to be found on there by the looks of things.

I might give ASOS a go then, as I suspect what is drowning you will be the opposite on me, though equally depressing if it doesn't fit (& I don't have an eating disorder, if you discount carb addiction :) ) - but the Peter pan collar dress is very cute.

In all seriousness I shouldn't buy anything until post 12 week scan, but it's amusing me to look at things and I am really depressed by how much of my wardrobe is uncomfortable at the moment. I think what I am def going to do is buy some storage boxes/bags that are moth proof and fold away everything that I am most def not going to be able to wear for at least another 18 months. No crying alowed. Once I have done so I can assess quite how sparse my wardrobe is and stock it accordingly.

I have a couple of really cosy polo neck jumper dresses that are on their last legs, so if I stretch the bejesus out of them I won't particularly mind. So I have a couple of dresses that I know are work and play friendly already. Ho and indeed hum.

It sounds like you are doing really well with your battle against your eating disorder by the way. Don't let pregnancy give it a booster. Focus on your bum. If you still have a nice neat bum then as the bump grows you will look sexy as heck. Just look at Saphron (usually far too skeletal) Burrows to see how fabulous and sexy a pregnant woman with a nice bum can look.

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 28/08/2012 20:46

ahhh the tramp that's made me really grin! It has been a long old battle, and many a morning have been spent in tears in front of my wardrobe with my poor old DP holding me whilst I weep about imagined differences in the 'feel' of dresses. The truth is, that it is a horrid dark tunnel, and now I'm out of it in the light, I don't want to ever ever go back. Too many years of it!

I LOVE the Peter Pan dress and bought something similar in H&M today to give it a go!

Do give ASOS a go though- I adore their ponti stuff, and have filled a whole trunk of clothes that I can no longer fit into of their stuff.

Love your idea of doubling up outfits, but in the most non-gross way, work is too hot and sweaty, my clothes need washing and removing of ink/food/mess that I seem to acquire in the classroom!

zoeymlucas · 28/08/2012 20:48

Welcome dontsay congrats on you little bean- have you had ur scan yet or are you still waiting?

I bought a black wrap next dress from eBay and it arrived today- it looks nice but can't wear it to work as I defo look pregnant in it so need to wait till I get the guts to tell my boss Hmm but plan on using colours and accessories to make it seem 'different'

We seem to have a visitor today- a black kitten has just wondered in and made her self comfy, prob not helping DH was feeding ham and chicken breast!!!!
