cookies what i would do would be go somewhere that does boob measuring, get measured, then go somewhere like matalan and buy a proper granny bra (no underwire, thick straps, probably white and half lacey...) in the right size? thats what ive done because i also cant afford proper bras!

cod nesting is kicking in ;)
just think about how lovely it will be when your done! :)

itsMYNutella · 11/08/2012 17:28

I've been wearing underwired bras too

Hope you and bump feel better pmgkt

I think I wrote the italics on that. I don't know why I wrote didn't have after digital thermometer because we do/did Confused we have the Braun one, same as they have at the doctors!

itsMYNutella · 11/08/2012 18:25

Do you mean a room thermometer Spotty? (Once I'd found copied and pasted the post I realised I'd forgotten who wrote it! Confused)

I was sitting down to write a list.... they don't seem to do muslins here and I was thinking about a dash to England one weekend / getting someone to visit and bringing me a parcel and wondered what we can/can't get and what most things would be cheaper in England... ho hum...

SpottyTeacakes · 11/08/2012 18:30

No an ear one. We just had a normal room one on a bit if cardboard think it came free with something! Have you tried eBay for muslins?

EggsMichelle · 11/08/2012 18:33

That list just looks scarier and scarier every time I look at it, I have a very tiny list, mainly because I plan to buy things as I need them, like cot bumpers and bottles etc. Although I did get a free Avent 4oz bottle though the post this morning, no clue where it can from but a lovely freebee!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/08/2012 18:55

Got to love a freebie Eggs!

Hmm well no one liked the yummy dinner I made Sad

mwahmwah · 11/08/2012 18:56

Top tip: pls do not spend a fortune on a fancy high chair: the one from ikea is without a doubt the best... I had a ridiculously priced padded effort for dd,totally impractical and difficult to clean. The ikea one I bought for ds was cheap as chips and can b shoved outside and hosed down, cleans in seconds. I love it!

HoneyMum21 · 11/08/2012 19:31

Arrggghhhh, restless leg has started up :(

itsMYNutella · 11/08/2012 20:31

Spotty we already have digital thermometer but it's not an ear one.... is it worth getting an ear one?
And I looked at German ebay 3 (smaller muslins) cost around 15-20? and a pack of 12 from mothercare cost £20 Hmm

Thanks for the tip about highchairs mwah! :o

I have signed up to 4 5 different baby bonus club thingies here, two in shops similar to boots and three online. They mostly offer a gift when you register (box of samples in one shop + CD of Mozart music and in another a full size body/belly lotion) and the rest send vouchers.... Also got a free dummy and a free little baby grow....Have a bag full of samples that I've collected from other one off baby freebies... luuurrrve freebies!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/08/2012 20:43

Well as it's your PFB I would definitely recommend one, especially for when that first virus strikes! Up to you though, I just find it quick and easy! Hmm definitely best to plan a quick trip over here I reckon Wink

Honey my neurologist reckons restless legs should be cured by a quick walk around Hmm Grin

HoneyMum21 · 11/08/2012 20:53

Thanks spotty - just dragged DH for a walk and feel a bit better. Gonnna soak in a warm bath now and see if that calms them down some more :)

EggsMichelle · 11/08/2012 21:57

What causes restless limbs? I get it in my arms sometimes.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I'm starting to get fed up with being kicked, it tickles a lot and it's such a weird sensation.

PrunellaDeVille · 11/08/2012 22:25

can still sit and feel for kicks endlessly without getting bored, tonight i am able to watch them (seems to be trying to fight it's way out) but DH seems to have grown bored with feeling for movements already Sad was hoping that'd make him feel more involved.

thanks for reproducing the list nutella and whoever compiled and annotated it in the first place. i've copied and pasted to a spreadsheet for some serious consideration. There must and will be shopping Smile

FriendofDorothy · 11/08/2012 22:30

I seriously wish I was feeling kicks. I am still not sure whether I am feeling any movement or not :(

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 12/08/2012 08:25

Friendof my friend just gave birth to a happy healthy baby girl and felt no movement until 24 weeks. If you are worried ring the midwife though!

Went out with friends last night so my bump started aching and I had some pain walking home :( although tadpole is fidgetting this morning so im trying not to worry.

Bellaboo123 · 12/08/2012 08:47

eggs I kinda get what u mean...LO kicks away as I'm trying to sleep lol

Had a lovely relaxing day yesterday and planning another one today...ah bliss.

Think I'll go swimming this morning - just trying to get into it.

Ordered a lovely dress off topshop matenity yesterday...navy and white stripe tunic. Great for now plus can wear with tights in the winter. I ordered 2 sizes bigger (I'm usually a 10) as was very clingy and couldn't see me lasting too long in it otherwise...was £22!

Really want an Isabella Oliver ruched dress but can't justify £100 on it...off to hunt for one on eBay!

Have a lovely day everyone Grin

Queenofsiburbia · 12/08/2012 09:24

Great list!
A piece of advice from friend (mums please confirm) is to buy baby grows with feet as socks are a PITA and that button up the front not back as its alot easier that way round for nappy changing.

Having freaky freaky baby dreams, anyone else? I'd rather the nesting kicking in than the paranoia about being a terrible mother Sad

The kicks are funny but do feel quite wierd. I find the under rib elbowing and tickles abit much tbh. Plus the somersaults after I've eaten are flattering to my cooking but make me feel sick!

SpottyTeacakes · 12/08/2012 09:34

Queen I don't think I've ever seen grows with poppers at the back but I definitely wouldn't buy them either as they would also be most uncomfortable for a baby who is likely to spend most the time on their back!

Agree socks are pointless. Summer baby's can be barefoot and winter baby's are best to have full footed grows or you can put tights under rompers (the footless ones) for when it's extra cold Smile

I too have been having awful dreams. I'm not a great sleeper at the best of times. Just got the moses out of the loft Smile

Queenofsiburbia · 12/08/2012 09:43

spotty I would have thought that about baby grows too but when said friend & I were shopping last week in baby Zara & baby gap there were loads and she kept stearing me away from them as they were the cutest & I'm a sucker for something pretty

It annoys me that baby shopping companies would make something impractical & try to sell to innocent / ignorant bystanders like me Angry !!

Queenofsiburbia · 12/08/2012 09:44

Sp... Steering?

PurplePidjin · 12/08/2012 09:48

Spotty, we're off into the loft today too my parents have kept loads of my old stuff - crib, teddy that mimics a heartbeat - I'm looking forward to seeing what else turns up, then all the sewing

SpottyTeacakes · 12/08/2012 09:49

Oh I love baby gap! Blue Zoo at Debebhams do lovely baby grows too.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/08/2012 09:50

I'm off to pick up the Lottie Ladybird playmat I got in eBay too Grin then maybe burger king for chilli cheese bites mmmmm Blush
