Frilly that sounds like a really nice thing to do with you mum,, enjoy!

Currently seeing imminent signs of labour in everything... so if you mean as in: been to the loo, baby kicked, sneezed, blue skies, then yes Smile but if you mean as in; contractions (painful or otherwise), show, waters breaking, then sadly no Sad

39+4 today

richmondmum84 · 04/08/2012 09:27

Good morning ladies! I am new here! 39+4 still pregnant. Baby measures 2 weeks ahead, first pregnancy hasn't dropped yet. No single sign of labour Smile pretty bored (am I too honest?) how are you all feeling? PS: thank you Mrgeres for telling me about the tread! Hope you are doing well...

Whiteangel · 04/08/2012 09:31

No signs at all just bloody uncomfortable. Spent too long on my ball yesterday as when I woke up during the night I was aching all over! Thinking of attempting a little walk today but not sure I'll make it much further than the end of the drive. Do seem to be going to the loo more often. Maybe my body has started to empty itself? Here's hoping!

MrGeresHamster · 04/08/2012 09:34

Morning Richmond! Welcome to the thread.

There are lots of labour signs spotting happening here (and every so often babies appear). We haven't had a baby for a few days now but I fear it's because the due on the 11th ladies took my 'no more queue jumping' dictum to heart. you may uncross legs So, we are keenly awaiting more babies and getting more TMI as the days pass.

Boredom is the reason we have nearly finished Part 6 of the thread and will soon be on Part 7. ...and also the reason that me and Frilly keep on getting into trouble elsewhere on mumsnet. Blush

General mantra is: fingers crossed, legs open

Nightfall1983 · 04/08/2012 09:34

Morning all. Really crappy nights sleep for the second night in a row, feeling so knackered. Could have had a long lie-in this morning but still can't sleep Sad it's really frustrating as I'm so tired, just can't get comfy and also can't stop thinking! Sometimes worrying about labour, sometimes just dreaming about newborn snuggles or future plans but can't switch off...

MrGeresHamster · 04/08/2012 09:57

White has your midwife said if baby is engaged at all yet? Needing the loo more often is a sign of that. I'm on constant loo watch and baby is 'very low' according to midwife (was 3/5ths but may be lower now)

Nightfall air your worries here. Sometimes just getting them out helps, so that leaves you some headspace to sleep. Two nights of bad sleep must feel draining. Can you treat yourself to something nice, thinking massage or something, to encourage relaxation? I have resolved that if baby isn't here by Wednesday I will treat myself to a pregnancy massage.

NeedlesCuties · 04/08/2012 10:07

I am feeling emotional - teary, angry, sad all mix of things.

DH is working till 1pm (he's done about 50 hours this week) so I'm at home as usual. I love being a SAHM, but at the moment I just feel worn out generally and really struggle to keep up with my son :( Feel like I'm a bad mum to him at the mo.

My tummy has been runny the past 2 days (sorry if TMI), have been rushing to the bathroom to be sick but nothing has come up, feel like I have a bowling ball between my legs and have shooting pains in my inner thighs and lower back.

With DS I didn't really have many signs that labour was approaching, apart from a 'show' about a week beforehand. This time round I just feel like sh1te the whole time, so never know what the craic is.

Need to cry on someone's shoulder :(

The3Bears · 04/08/2012 10:08

Hello everyone,

Hope your all okay 39 weeks today for me and no signs since the other day so trying to keep busy and keep it of my mind otherwise i'd be going mad, 'baby will arrive when he is ready' just keep repeating this Grin Went on a huge walk yesterday took ds to soft play with my friend it was great! Going to the farm tomorrow if the weather stays dry and will try and stay busy all week :)
Has anyone else had any other signs?
Welcome richmond think were all v bored now may have to do some more nesting today Grin
Glad your both doing well ham how long are you staying in hospital for? alexander sounds perfect :) cant believe you already have your LO

Is anyone doing anything good today ? hope you all have a lovely day

NeedlesCuties · 04/08/2012 10:08

Btw, I'm still only 37+1 weeks, but I have had a feeling all during this pregnancy that he/she will come early... that could be wishful thinking though...

:)

The3Bears · 04/08/2012 10:15

Sorry you've had a terrible night nightfall, I agree with mrgereshamster Grin to let out your worries and why not have a nice treat or shopping spree, some nice clothes for after baby perhaps. Hope you have a better sleep tonight.

Dont be so hard on yourself needles You are not a bad mum at all, You need a break and I dont blame you for feeling worn out. Maybe try a dvd and duvet day today get some snacks in and relax all day :) sending you lots of hugs x

I had no signs at all with ds aswell so keep telling myself that this time around I just had my show and contractions started straight way no signs earlier than that though.

Whiteangel · 04/08/2012 10:44

Has been 3/5 engaged for over 2 and a half weeks. MW said he can't get any lower without contractions you poor thing. Sympathy didn't really help just made me more annoyed at having to wait til Thurs for a sweep. I've needed to wee regularly for ages now but also pooing (sorry) more often now as well. Hoping it will all start suddenly with no warning and be over quickly but you never know. My family are being very patient. Sis just text saying curry pot noodle and pineapple chunks worked for her friend. Not sure they contain any of the right ingredients but I'm getting ready to try anything now SPD is so debilitating. 40+2

MrGeresHamster · 04/08/2012 10:54

White I have my sweep booked for Friday, am same level of engaged and same toilet issues... no SPD though, I hope you're not in too much pain. I have tried curry and sex but made no difference. Will get DH to go for a walk with me again today (feel a bit too vulnerable to go for long walk on my own) and will spend tonight bouncing on my ball, maybe with pineapple.

Good luck, hope for some good news from you this weekend!

ffscatmove · 04/08/2012 13:14

Afternoon all.
Chin up Needles, you're not a bad mum, just a heavily pregnant & tired mum!

Whinge alert - am 39+2, have been fully engaged since 37 wks and NOT A SNIFF of anything remotely suggesting labour. Don't see MW till 40+1 and no-ones so much as mentioned a sweep in passing.
Am on the RLT capsules, eating chilli daily, bouncing on the ball, vacuuming every morning, going for walks, weeding the allotment and pressed poor DH into service this morning (fat immobile grunty thing that I am I think the poor man did quite well!). I WANT MY BABY! Grrrr.

Sorry about that! Big sympathy to all who are suffering SPD etc, apart from being a tad impatient I can't really complain of any symptoms so will now stop whinging & go back to my jam making!

susiegrapevine · 04/08/2012 13:58

Afternoon all. Well had terrible cramp in one leg early this morn and its still not right. Realised its cos I sat in traffic slow moving for over 45 mins yesterday to go 5 miles!! Stupid roads in my area tho have never known it soooo bad in the middle of the day. So is evidently my poor clutch leg that is suffering.

Feeling very uncomfy and want baby out now!! Even tho my parents are not back from hols yet.

Oh yeah and not really looking for signs cos had no clue with ds apart from the loose bowels but it did not really figure that just that alone mean't immenent labour.

We need another baby!! Ham has had the only one actually born in aug so far

37 + 5

susiegrapevine · 04/08/2012 14:00

Oh yeah when I moaned to dh about being uncomfy he said don't worry we are having the baby next week lol!

capecath · 04/08/2012 14:17

mrgeres made me laugh about signs spotting and not having seen a baby in a few days - feels like I'm on safari :)
needles :( Don't feel like a bad mum please! Just do what you can and give your little one lots of cuddles. Likely he just enjoys being with you even if not doing anything much.

Sitting back now to try and resort to the fact that this baby just doesn't seem to be coming early (been convinced up until now that it will be). Had lovely relaxing bath last night and dh brought in some candles. Enjoying the sunshine in the back garden right now and may have beach picnic later - glorious! May just go ahead with plans for ds's birthday on friday anyway. Seeing consultant Tues about induction. Opposite to many of you with bowel movemens - think I am noticing side effects of iron pills already!! :P

justine09x · 04/08/2012 14:40

Afternoon all am same as all of you aprt from I have ages to go, I'm clinging to fact that ds2 was 2 weeks early!? Please follow the same timekeeping baby I'm soooo bored now!!

TMI Alert: was just making some chic chip muffins and notice my trousers were wet like two teaspoons and also my knickers were wet ......oh my please tell me I haven't even realised that I wet myself but waters would be a massive gush right?? 3rd baby and I'm still clueless and now apparently incontinent!!! Ewwwww

Whiteangel · 04/08/2012 15:23

Well we've been for a waddle round the block in the sunshine now that the thunder and rain storm has cleared. Took it slow and wasn't too painful but was massively strapped up. Will see how much I pay for it later and might try a bit further tomorrow. Am cautious about doing too much in case I do go into labour. Don't want to make it more painful than necessary! I'm doing my best to be next! All the neighbours are watching and waiting. Think I could turn symptom watching and impatience into an Olympic sport. I'm going for gold!

MrGeresHamster · 04/08/2012 15:35

Justine think you'd notice if you peed yourself. Why don't you put in a liner or pad and see what it collects. You may not fancy doing this but I've read that if you smell the pad you'll know if wee or waters by the smell. Not nice I know, but needs must and all that. I'm on DC1 so no personal knowledge of what happens!

White we're just back from a walk too. I feel so knackered and we only had a walk down to and round the river. Have sent DH out for sweets and smoothie, then we're gonna watch a film. Well I say we're going to watch a film but I may possibly snooze whilst DH watches a film!

Been having had loads of period type pains which move into my bum. More achy than painful. Will get my binoculars out, what with all this labour signs and baby spotting safari lark!

justine09x · 04/08/2012 15:42

I googled it and that's what I've put a panty liner on so I'm another one turning symptom watching into an Olympic sport lol have read u can have big amounts of watery discharge so will keep a look out, pregnancy is so not glamorous at all!!

Sounds like things going in right directions for u mrgere, braxton hicks only usually in the front so moving round the back sounds promising!!

Lovemarmite · 04/08/2012 15:43

Yes, yes, yes, we need another baby!

Had two momentous BHs that were way too painful that made me go 'OOOOOOOOOO' a lot and stop breathing for a short while and then after a walk around, nothing. OK, a big evacuation happened and now feel better. Damn!
Feeling very house bound now with sore pelvis, sore feet which are weighted and puffy but so glad Olympics are on and Jessica Ennis is looking in fab form. Feeling a little fat compared to the toned over the top athletic lot on the flat screen!

Justine I think your waters can leak out and not gush and so it maybe worth talking to your mw about it if more comes or now if you think it might not be pee.
I must say that I am experiencing very different smell down there but it might just be thicker discharge - wow TMI alert!

frillylemons · 04/08/2012 15:54

Sounds like we've all had enough! Come on babies!!!

So, you know how the Indians did a rain dance, maybe we should unite and do a baby dance?

MrGeresHamster · 04/08/2012 16:17
frillylemons · 04/08/2012 16:31

DH capitalised on the hip wiggling and increased fruitiness!! Wink Bless him, he's not sure what's hit him!

tashaw28 · 04/08/2012 16:49

My BH are just getting harder and harder to bear, and I'm also going to the loo a lot, both ends, and I'm the only one that doesn't want my baby yet!!! Need to get past august 9th please!!!
