brooke89 · 02/07/2012 20:25

Daydream - me too! I have been sat there giggling all day at it! It feels so Wierd but I'm sure it is, they were fainter last week and I thought it was just things expanding but I'm 17 weeks on thurs and they're definitely stronger!

cherrypiew3 · 02/07/2012 20:43

Sorry to hear about all the job news and hope you all get sorted soon.

MW rang me today to say that I have a water infection so now have some antibiotics and I am still finding it very hard to eat anything. I know I am very lucky to be pregnant when so many ladies want to be in this situation, but at the moment I feel so fed up.

acjfluff · 02/07/2012 20:46

Love the new thread name, don't love the crap job situations. Hope things look up soon.

I'm very impressed about the pram shopping, we've looked once, freaked out about the price and decided not to get anything until after the 20 week scan.

CODwidow · 02/07/2012 20:47

cherry I think your allowed to feel that way we all do at some point for whatever reason mine is the sickness at the mo. I'm finding it hard in the mornings to get the 4 boys ready and to school whilst throwing up. All I'm saying is don't feel guilty for feeling that way. x

Barbeasty · 02/07/2012 20:53

Sorry to hear the bad news on the jobs front.

Nothing much to report, just marking my place.

MyDaydream · 02/07/2012 21:08

Cherry don't feel bad. Pregnancy can be miserable sometimes. I've felt fed up for weeks, doesn't mean I'm not happy to be pregnant I just wish I could have an easer time sometimes!

HoneyMum21 · 02/07/2012 21:51

Sorry to hear all of the rubbish job/evil employer news. Thinking of you all.

Cherry don't worry - i'm happy to be having bump but that doesn't mean i'm not miserable due to the pregnancy sometimes.

cherrypiew3 · 02/07/2012 22:25

Thanks ladies going to go to bed and have a good nights sleep.

Stacks · 02/07/2012 22:37

Sorry to read all the awful job news, I hope things improve.

Someone on here mentioned a pram addiction, my sister has one. She just bought another pram! My DN is 3 ans hasn't used a pram/pushchair in about a year, and she's not PG now! She just happened to be looking at prams on eBay and bought another for when she decides to have another baby sometime. Sigh. I am refusing to buy prams, or even talk about them, so I don't encourage her.

For those still with morning sickness. Mango juice is meant to be a natural anti emetic. Might be worth a try?

I'm 17 weeks on Fri, so just a day behind someone who said they're 17w tomorrow. Got my me appointment the same day. I was wondering, should I gave heard from my consultant by now? I was told at my booking in I'd be having consultant led care.

CODwidow · 02/07/2012 22:45

I have a serious pram addiction but it's not going to reappear this time or so I've promised dh! Blush

Cookiesandcream06 · 02/07/2012 23:07

Ahh this is where you're all hiding !

Awful news on the jobs/money front ladies, really wish you lots of luck toget things back on track, such a worry at this time but our fingers are crossed for you.

strawberry I had a similar 'little bit of week' incident earlier. I only sneezed. Damn Hayfever. Roll on winter (december)

COD I love pram shopping. I've been feeling brattish about wanting a new one and being scowled at, but MiL has offered to buy us a new one Grin brand spanking new Grin so happy. However it means she has to approve on price and DP has never looked so distgusted when I showed him the iCandy (price) in John Lewis on Sat!

Good news on heartbeats and wriggles Smile - there really are babies in there under the bacon/cake podge Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 03/07/2012 06:22

Stacks I saw my consultant at six weeks and am seeing her again at sixteen weeks so you might want to chase it up Smile

Bellaboo123 · 03/07/2012 07:10

Morning all!

17 weeks today and 4 more sleeps until we find out the flavour Grin

Hope everyone has a better day than yesterday...off to work I go...

SpottyTeacakes · 03/07/2012 07:22

So all I ask dp to do during the week is wash up. Yesterday I did three loads of washing, hoovered, dusted and did all the washing up he hadn't done, as well as looking after dd and cooking dinner going to tesco etc. Now last nights dinner stuff is still waiting to be washed up and he's gone to work. He made himself two cups of coffee thus morning and didn't offer me one. All because he's tired, yes he went to bed at eight last night Angry

Rant over, sorry Blush

knottyhair · 03/07/2012 07:41

Spotty that sounds pretty crap! Don't blame you for ranting at all. Bellaboo, have a good day at work and hope the 4 sleeps go quickly for you. Stacks, I'd chase up the consultant like Spotty says. Nice to read all the pram news. We can't buy one yet, our house is in complete disarray, with several rooms out of action and DP is due to lay the new floor any day so we've no room at all!

MyDaydream · 03/07/2012 07:44

Spotty that's rubbish. You need to get him working. Washing up takes 5 minutes if you keep on top of it, tiredness no excuse.
I'm feeling very stressed about going back to work today. I could do with another day off just to relax and think it would make all the difference to my back. But now I'm worried about what I'm missing in work since im still training and that I'm the only one earning is just making me worry. We have savings but if we go through those we struggle during ML. I think his new job will be starting in the next month since his friend who recommended him said they're expecting new people, but without a date I still feel the pressure.

PurplePidjin · 03/07/2012 08:06

Spotty, that's truly pathetic of him. Dp came in last night and made mash to go with the stew i had in the slow cooker (he makes awesome mash, mine is adequate but his is spectacular) then took the bins out before work. And we were both in bed by 9. Arse kicking time??

Daydream, i know the feeling. Until it actually happens i don't trust it's real iyswim. Very scary

Bubbless · 03/07/2012 08:48

clarella- cbt? if it stands for cognitive behavioual therapy then it was that! aha. just fed up with them being so useless and making me feel like they think im making it all up

jelous of everyone going to concerts and stuff! me and DP had reading festival tickets for this year, but my hyperemesis was so horrific early on i thought best to sell the tickets and keep the money!!

everyones dp whos lost job- thats rubbish news for all of you(!) and dh.. ((un-MNtty hugs)) it will work out, by the last page of the thread youll be boasting about how amazing everything is! ;)

im starting to get rather worried about lack of movement now.. im 14+5, is this a bit early to be worrying? ://

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 03/07/2012 08:56

Too early to worry bubbless this is your first isn't it? Most people don't feel their first until 18-24 weeks.

Feel shit again today and D'S has been being a little shit at school so im worried I've screwed him up by having this baby! Urgh parental guilt is awful!

PurplePidjin · 03/07/2012 09:10

Bubbless, I'm 18+5 so don't panic!!

OP posts:
Bubbless · 03/07/2012 09:20

yeah, this is my first- i think this is making me panic more + im at the back end of dec so most of you are ahead of me!! did book my mw appt for the 12th though- il be 16 weeks then- heartbeat time?!?!

stacey- its not your fault! in years to come he will love his little sibling!! i hated my db when he was born but now he is literally everything to me! (he frequently stays at my flat because we miss each other) it will all be worth it in the end!!

olliebob · 03/07/2012 09:27

sorry to hear all the bad news on dps jobs and lack of money, as somebody else said it will work out. I know cos with both previous pregnancies my dh was in and out of work all the time, very stressful but it does work out in the end:).
Dh was unwell on sunday loads of vomitting and now ds has got it really hoping it leaves me and dd alone though. Getting an unexpected day off work though as got to look after ds, so lots of kids films being watched :)
Hope everyone has a better day today.

CakeBump · 03/07/2012 09:37

Morning all

I haven't had time to catch up with all the latest gossip, but I hope everyone is doing ok.

I had a scan yesterday at the gynae, all looks good and little one was sucking his/her thumb! First through-the-tummy one too so it to me a while to get my eye in to the new angle...

Doc said "possibly girl" although really its a bit too early to tell and we get to find out (all being well) at our next appointment in 4 weeks. I absolutely can't wait to know now!

I had my hen weekend last weekend and am now absolutely shattered. Great fun though :)

knottyhair · 03/07/2012 09:56

MyDaydream, you're bound to feel the pressure, keeping everything crossed for you and all the others with job/money issues. Olliebob, hope you stay lurgy free and CakeBump, how exciting! And when's your wedding??

MyDaydream · 03/07/2012 10:00

Set out to work but had to stand on the train. Between the standing making my back worse and the swaying making me nauseous I couldn't take it and got off on the next stop. Now on my way home to feel sorry for myself.
