welcome to the thread Sarah Smile

Gbnewbie · 03/09/2012 19:44

Hello everyone!
Feel like in going to pop my tum is so stretched/bloated!! Only 16w 5... Anyone else feel like this?? Are there any non first timers who can confirm if this is 'normal'??

zanywany · 04/09/2012 11:45

Hi everyone, just catching up after being off work.

My 11 year old started secondary school today Henny - my little man seemed so grown up.

I have been feeling sooo tired/worn out, its been a bit better the last few days so hoping I will start to blossom soon.
Got my downs result and it was low at 1:940 which I am pleased about seen as I am 38.

Worrying lots at the moment about how I am going to afford the baby and being off work etc

Brough some brillant bright blue skinny maternity jeans from new look but they are sooo uncomfy - am gutted. Also got a dress from there which I love.

sarah8787 · 06/09/2012 07:40

queen rollo, thanks!
I am 17 weeks and i feel pressure on my bladder and around my belly, when we saw the scan the baby was moving alot so i think this is why

queenrollo · 06/09/2012 09:20

i could feel an odd 'pressure' mostly when I went to bed and was lying still so I could 'concentrate' more on my body.
I can feel definite movements now (i'm 17+3), and have a pattern so far of first thing in the morning and when I go to bed. I sat in bed for ten minutes last night and giggled every time I felt a little kick.
I know from my 12 week scan that the placenta is on the back wall of the uterus and I am very small so the midwife wasn't surprised I can feel such pronounced movement already.

How are you feeling generally? I have a return of morning nausea Sad

sarah8787 · 06/09/2012 20:37

Im feeling good, not sick, but tired and hungry and thirsty.
Im looking forward to the kicks! Oh no have you found something that makes the nausea any better?

Gbnewbie · 06/09/2012 21:06

Hello all again.
Queenrollo how exciting!!! I can't wait to feel movements!!
(touch wood) apart from the about to pop feeling and my solitary pile Confused I'm feeling good. Spearmint tictacs got me through the queasy months...

LancsMum88 · 07/09/2012 18:22

Hello all I am new on here. Just thought I'd say hello. I am pregnant with my second child due around 25/02. My 1st child is 2 next week having a party for him on Sunday so that's exciting.

Best wishes to you all xx

IWantToGoToThere · 07/09/2012 20:32

Hello lancsmum I'm expecting number 2 as well. My DS will be 3.2 when this one arrives though so a bit more of an age gap. Have recently found out that this one is a boy too and I'm really excited. It will be our last child so a little sad that I'll never have a daughter but I'm really looking forward to having 2 cute little boys growing up together.

I'm feeling totally shattered at the moment. I never had that blooming energetic stage that some ladies are lucky to get with DS1 so I think this pregnancy is going to go the same way - knackered till he sleeps through the night at 8 months!! Have been having a lot of tickly little squirms as well which is great. I had an anterior placenta last time so didn't feel movements till much later. I'm already feeling slightly sad to think that this will be the last time I'll feel a little baby inside me. It's like having a little invisible friend all to yourself and selfishly I don't want to share him!

Am approaching this weekend with mixed thoughts - great that it will be hot and sunny but slightly dreading it at the same time as I'm already feeling hot and swollen generally

KeepTryin · 08/09/2012 17:30

Hi, can I join? Smile
I'm 16+1 today, first pregnancy. I'm 33
Can't believe I made it this far, normally an optimist but think I read too much on the conception threads and have literally been waiting for things to go wrong!!
I want to go there I have two bumps too, exactly like that, the fats moved up to the top and baby's at the bottom! Can you remember when you felt DC1's movements last time I have an anterior placenta and a bit of extra weight so thinking it'll be quite late for me Sad having said that I'm sure I can feel a fluttering deep inside when I'm in bed at night... Could be wind like people say but I've never felt wind like that before on the other hand have never concentrated on thinking and feeling something down there Wink

Panzee · 08/09/2012 17:38

I'm the same, two bumps and an anterior placenta. I sometimes think I can feel him but can't remember when I started last time.

KeepTryin · 09/09/2012 23:24

Good to know I'm not the only double bumper out there Winkcan't wait for it to be a proper bump though, I want the world to know I'm up the duff!! Grin

Anyone else bumps feel sore if they've done too much? I can do about half an hours housework then have to have a rest! Not that I mind lying on the couch with my feet up Wink

InchyInchy · 10/09/2012 11:25

I'm another anterior placenta! And I keep wondering if it's the baby I occasional feel Confused

Keeptryin I've had a cold and been sneezing loads and my bump has been sore!

This is my first and I'm 18 weeks, but definitely have a bump forming now. Although it's only noticeable to anyone else if I wear a tight top.

How's everyone?

Hennycluckington · 11/09/2012 09:43

Hi everyone, not caught up for a while, its lovely reading all your posts and how we are all going through pregnancy at the same time.
It's been a busy couple of weeks with back to school and DS starting high school.
There is no getting away from people noticing my bump now and have moved on to some very big over bump knickers which are so comfortable, I don't know why haven't worn big knickers forever, my DM was right after all!
I dropped some on the floor whilst emptying the dryer and DH said love you have dropped a bed sheet Grin

Yes achy bump here when I've done a lot of house work, especially after clearing out DD's bedroom my pelvis was tender for a day.

20 week scan this Friday!! I will be 19+5, we are not finding out the sex, we want a surprise! Bit nervous about everything being ok with baby.
My DH said I looked glowing this week which was nice of him to say but I think I'm might have just been a bit flushed and sweaty Blush I'm feeling really warm all the time.

Needing toilet trips 3 times a night at the moment which is making me shattered during the day, it feels like natures way of reminding me what broken sleep is?!

Hope your all well today and starting to feel those wriggles.

InTheNightGarden · 17/09/2012 09:27

YAY!! finally found a Feb 2013 thread!! I'm due 17th Feb, anyone had their 20week scan yet and know what they're having?? :) :) :)

Panzee · 17/09/2012 12:30

Mine's next week but I know I'm having a boy after the amnio. :)

WitchityBroom · 17/09/2012 14:58

Hi, NightGarden. It's nice to have more people on this thread. There was a mass exodus to FaceBook early on (around the 8 week mark, when I was just lurking) and we lost a load of people which is why we don't seem to have as many people as other due-date clubs. Shame, really, as it's so nice to talk to others who are going through a similar experience, isn't it?

My scan's due on 28th September. We'd decided to find out the sex, but now I'm not so sure I should as it turns out DH has to work away for two weeks and will miss the scan. Sad It doesn't seem right for me (and my mum, who's coming instead) to find out without him. Perhaps they can write the result down and seal it in an envelope for me and DH to open together on his return. Can I stand the suspense?!? Grin

WitchityBroom · 17/09/2012 15:01

p.s. Henny, I'm nervous about the baby being okay too. Guess it's just natural, but I'm kinda sick of the underlying worry that seems to always be at the back of my mind. Hopefully this will improve a bit after the scan. Don't want to be this neurotic forever. Grin

StrangelyCalm · 17/09/2012 20:02

Had 20 week scan today - all went really well - everything present and correct including little boy bits! Very chuffed that all is ok in there, particularly as I haven't felt any movements yet. Hope everyone else feeling ok.

WitchityBroom · 17/09/2012 20:15

Congratulations, Strangely. Glad someone else has caved and found out the sex. I was starting to feel like the only person in the world without any willpower. Grin Just under two weeks until I get to find out.

CalamityJ · 17/09/2012 21:01

Got our scan letter through & we get to have it before our holiday! Thursday lunchtime we get to see our baby again! Funnily enough we seem to be the ONLY people who aren't finding out our baby's sex.

InTheNightGarden · 17/09/2012 22:03

witchitybroom - that's a lovely idea about the envelope!! hope all goes well with your scan! and yes it is great to talk to others in similar shoes :)

this is my 2nd child, dd is only 16months so gonna be tricky with 2 under 2s haha!! luckily I've had no sickness at all, no bump, no cravings just little flutters! I'm also certain Im having a boy as this pregnancy is soooo different to dd's!! my scan isn't till 2nd Oct... cant wait!

Gbnewbie · 18/09/2012 08:48

Hi everyone, I keep checking in to find so few posts, seemed so quite so the exodus to fb explains why!
Got my 20wk next weds (day after my bday). Can't help by worry that all isn't right but bump is growing and am getting the flutters. Plan to find out as long as little one isn't being coy and covering up!!
I look forward to reading more. Take care all!!

Gbnewbie · 18/09/2012 08:48

P. love the idea of getting the result put in an envelope!!

queenrollo · 18/09/2012 08:50

hello everyone Smile

witchity my 20 week scan is on the 28th too. I won't be finding out the sex, though I have a very strong feeling about what I'm having and a friend who has 'woo' tendencies kind of automatically asked 'when your little gender specific is due'......and said the same as I've been thinking all along.

I'm 19+1 today. Going to the osteopath this afternoon, and hoping he can help me keep on top of the back/pelvic pain. It's now moved permanently into my left hip too. I was expecting it, after being not very mobile with DS pregnany but it is so irritating because there is so much i want/need to do in the garden and house and I have to admit defeat and take it easy. On the plus side, and at very short notice, DH is now self-employed and mostly at home during the days right now while he builds his business up. So fortunately for me, I have a scivvy here to do things for me Grin
