Hi all. Pinkie we've got nearly matching dates - I'm 13+2 today. When is your EDD?

Thought the ms was curtailing, but woke up nauseous as ever. Hoping that it all settles down soon!

Heva how're you doing? I'm dreading the reaction our announcement will cause DSC's bioM. We're thinking of holding off until school has started back up, so that everyone's schedules will be a bit busier
then she won't have time to dwell on it and make negative comments! Have you been able to share the news with your DSD yet?

Pinkie29 · 06/08/2012 11:49

I'm 13 weeks today been given 10th of feb as my edd

LauraPalmer · 06/08/2012 14:34

I'm so confused by how our pregnancies are dated - I'm 13+2 and my EDD is Feb. 9th. Weird.

I don't suppose it matters anyway as I'm sure our babies will show up when they're ready, EDD be damned!

StrangelyCalm · 06/08/2012 19:17

14 weeks today! Still no symptoms except permanently starving!
Welcome newbies...

Pinkie29 · 06/08/2012 21:23

I've had quite a sickie feeling day, knew I spoke too soon d'oh!

LauraPalmer · 06/08/2012 22:18

I've been nauseous all day, too. Mmmmm...rich tea biscuits.

CailinDana · 07/08/2012 09:24

Can I join the thread? I'm about 12 weeks or so (having a scan on Thursday) and already have a 19 month old DS. Finding it very hard going at the moment. I don't have much sickness but the tiredness is just horrendous and I find myself losing patience with my DS even though he really is a very good boy. I lost my temper with him earlier and shouted which is very unusual for me. I found my temper a lot worse when I was pregnant with DS too, does anyone else find this? I screamed at DH a few times and even smashed a plate, totally unusual for me.

Hevaniceday · 07/08/2012 12:56

LauraP - DSD got so upset over the weekend we got a phonecall asking for us to come down for the day to see her, BioM finally agreed after some arguing so i'm hoping this will give us the opportunity to break the news to her sensitively.

Looks like will be going down on Saturday to see her, we are adding an extra half hour in the 4 hour journey time for extra bathroom trips LOL

12wk tomorrow and booking in with midwife next Wednesday soo glad to be finally getting somewhere with someone :)

Still really tired like 90% of the time but just about all the other horrible feelings have gone away now, how is everyone else feeling?

phlossie · 08/08/2012 20:27

Hello - I hope you don't mind me coming here and waving to you all! I was in the Feb 2012 ante-natal group - well, still am, but we're on Facebook now and going through the joys of weaning, sitting up, teething, sleeping (or not) - we even have our first crawler! My DS (DC3) was due on Feb 12th but born on the 21st. He's gorgeous!
I'm loving remembering where we all were this time last year (I was puking!) Wishing you all the best in your pregnancies and your group - hang on to each other, the support you'll get and give is priceless.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 08/08/2012 20:51

Cailin I am totally the same. I ranted at dp for an hour for eating a packet of my marmite crisps. I know I'm being awful but can't seem to help it! Blush

Had to say a big sorry afterwards.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 08/08/2012 20:52

Nice if you to pop in phlossie I had ds march 2011 and I can't believe how fast it goes!

Gbnewbie · 09/08/2012 19:03

Space for yet another newbie?? Hello!
I'm 13 wks 2d... Due date changed from 13th to the 12th at my 12 wk scan which went well in that all the wiggly worm was wiggling well!!

Was wondering when you guys were planning to tell more than just the immediate few? I'm scared that I'll be tempting fate after a failed preg at the beginning of the year... Feel v.scared.

Lovely to read everyone's news and diff experiences!

WillSantaBringaGoldMedal · 10/08/2012 12:05

Got my scan on Monday - very nervous as I have no symptoms anymore (except a big tummy, but that is probably due to eating like a horse during the Olympics) and had a dream that I MCd last night :(

Had to try to calm DH down as well - he's so excited, but I had to tell him that I'm not convinced there's a viable pregnancy because its so different from DC1. I'm sort of mentally prepared (well, as prepared as you can be) for bad news, but I don't think he is.

If its good news, we'll probably tell people over the coming weeks. The one thing I think is daft is trying to hide it for too long, particularly if it begins to show. My boss hid hers till she was 20 weeks, but everyone knew as she had a definite bump, so it was pointless and just a bit weird.

Hopefully the Olympics will keep me distracted over the weekend - if I think about it, I start feeling sick with nerves.

CailinDana · 10/08/2012 13:22

Gb - I put it up on facebook. I was actually more open with people this time round than with DS - lots of people knew before my scan whereas with DS no one, not even my parents, knew. People guessed or situations came up where I couldn't hide it so I just said feck it and told loads of people. I was a bit worried that things would go wrong but at the same time I'm not sure hiding it and then dealing with it on your own is great either - I've hidden difficult things in the past and I don't see the point of it any more. If I do have MC, then I'll tell people that, and if they don't react well, that's their problem. Strangely the people I worry about most in that scenario are my parents. They are emotional fuckwits and would say precisely all of the wrong things. If I did have MC I would get DH to tell them and ask them never to mention it. Sad but easier to deal with than what they would have to say.

I know that fear Santa - it's normal. Fingers crossed all will be well. The waiting is such torture, it must have been horrible for women when scans didn't exist and they just had to wait till the baby was born to find out if anything was wrong.

Gbnewbie · 10/08/2012 13:44

Hi Cailin, wow that really is putting it out there.. I've yet to tell my dad or brother yet! Your def right about hiding it and trying to deal with it on your own as my experience at the beginning of the year was so tough trying to pretend nothing was wrong to the majority if people. I think because of all that it still doesn't seem real even after seeing the wriggler turning cartwheels during the scan!! Roll on 20 wks...

Hope your scan went well yesterday!

CailinDana · 10/08/2012 14:01

Scan yesterday went great thanks, little one was bouncing around the place, waving arms and legs full of beans. It was really lovely to see him/her, makes it so real and exciting. Of course it doesn't take away the worry entirely but I feel like with DS I was so worried I didn't really enjoy it, so this time round I'm trying to take the approach that if things go wrong they go wrong and no amount of worrying is going to help so I might as well enjoy it in the meantime :)

Gbnewbie · 10/08/2012 17:29

Excellent!! I'm really pleased for you.
That is definitely the attitude I'm aiming for too.

WillSanta - I really hope you can relax this weekend and wish you all the best for Monday.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 10/08/2012 19:38

With my first baby I was scared to go on buses cos they were bumpy! Blush

AuroraOrtiz · 11/08/2012 06:27

WillSanta I have my scan on Monday too - am still worrying as no symptoms and have had a tiny bit of bleeding the last couple of days - it's very very slight and no pain - but it's not helping with my worries! Good luck with your's!

LauraPalmer · 11/08/2012 12:41

Hello newbies - congrats on your successful and upcoming scans!

Hey QueenRollo, are you here? Yay on your good news! (our EDD is the 9th Smile). When you have a moment, come over and say hi to the little clan of PESH - we caught another one last week.

Hope your visit with DSD is going well heva.

AuroraOrtiz · 13/08/2012 14:38

Just to let you all know that sadly I am having a miscarriage so I won't be coming on here anymore.

Good luck with all your pregnancies xx

CailinDana · 13/08/2012 15:00

Oh no Aurora - did they discover it in the scan?

How are you feeling?

AuroraOrtiz · 13/08/2012 15:36

I was spotting a few days ago then started getting cramps on Saturday. Had the scan scheduled for this morning and yes they have confirmed I am having a miscarriage. Am going to hope nature takes it's course rather than have to have an operation, am at home with bad period cramps, if it doesn't go in 2 weeks will have to have the op. Am very sad. xxx

CailinDana · 13/08/2012 15:37

:( You poor thing. Do you have much support?

AuroraOrtiz · 13/08/2012 15:49

My dp is being very lovely. I hadn't told anyone else. I'll be ok.
