Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GTbaby · 22/06/2012 20:35

apple 21 weeks +4 and puked up this morning. Annoying as I'm no longer sick every day. However it's now 2nd morning In A row Sad
However so much better n I'm back at work so can't complain!

Re bags. I think if I was going to spend £70 I'd rather buy a longchamp bag and then get a divider for inside.

ValiumQueen · 22/06/2012 20:42

kirrin I guess youdo not like the B dual then?

LittleLolly · 22/06/2012 20:43

bluetinkerbell sorry for your loss, that must have been really hard. I'm sure you know how tiny the odds of that happening agin are, and you will see your little one at the scan happy and healthy xx

kirrinIsland · 22/06/2012 21:01

Valium to be fair, I've hardly used it. But I lent it to my cousin and she used it for about 3 months before giving it back when I found out I was pregnant. She then bought a second hand P&T. She said that the b-dual was good, but very heavy, and therefore quite hard work to push with both in it. She did say she would have kept using it if she could as it wasn't awful but she does prefer the P&T. I have only used it as a single and it is heavy and cumbersome. I might dig it out and use it as a single again just to see if I can live with it, but there are some cheap P&Ts on Ebay in my area at the moment which are tempting me!

ValiumQueen · 22/06/2012 21:07

I considered a B Dual, but also thought it would be heavy. I am hoping I have not made a mistake by getting a P&T. It seems they are like Marmite - people love em or hate em.

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/06/2012 21:25

Ive found the bag I want on eBay and it's only £10! Can't link as am on my phone so I'll do it tomorrow.
It's a shoulder bag with a wipe- clean outside and pics of cupcakes all over it.
Trying to decide what colour to go for!

ShellyBobbs · 22/06/2012 21:44

Thank bollocks for that, 2 days of doubles over and done with!

I'm soooooooooooo tired........ I've got a really bad headache because I'm so tired, don't know why because for the first time in absolutely YEARS I'm sleeping like a log as soon as I get in bed, and it doesn't matter what time I get in either. Don't even have to pretend anymore when the old one eyed snake tries to uncoil up my back, too late, I'm well gone lad!

I'm going to have a crack at making my own changing bag, it'll probably be really shit but never mind.

Also very p*ed off because I managed to get a ticket, eventually, to see the Stone Roses next Sunday but no other bugger is going that night so looks like I'll be going on me tod, hubby's going Friday night with his mates :( I ended up watching the Artic Monkeys on my own after getting split up from everyone so won't be my first in toddsterville........

Dixiebell · 22/06/2012 22:53

Hopefully reassuring to first timers (but possibly not!), it all seems to be just as worrying second time round!! I'm 17 weeks and at the stage of worrying that I've no real bump, not feeling movements yet...with the added complication of thinking I'm sure I could feel movements by this point last time...!! Anyway, tonight was eating spicy BBQ Pringles Hmm, and felt a sudden load of definite kicks, lifted up my top and could see my tummy button moving up and down, v strange! But also delightful! :) So bit more relaxed now.

TheDetective · 22/06/2012 23:05

Shelly Just go on your own, you will have a blast! As a frequent loner to gigs, I was quickly adopted by various riff raff at these types of things! People said I was crazy! I am, so what!

I have done my good deed for the day today! A man who looked like he was in his 70's seemed to have broken down opposite our house today. Despite being a busy main road, not one fucker stopped to help as he tried to push the car to the side of the road on his own! I ran out, in the pouring rain, and pushed the car with him! Imagine a 70 year old man and a pregnant woman pushing a car in the rain, I didn't even have a coat on!

Turned out he ran out of petrol, so I drove him to the nearest garage and got a jerry can filled for him! Poor guy! Felt sorry for him, I guess he was embarrassed! It must be a man thing!

The weather was horrendous here, we've had flooding in a few places. The centre of town was a nightmare, and it took me an hour to do the school run!

Was so glad to get back home for a bath and hot chocolate this evening! And to make things even better, DP came home with 50 Shades of Grey porn for me! May as well see what all the fuss is about now ;)

That has just reminded me, I lay on the bed after my bath, browsing MN on my phone, DP came in after he had been in the bath after me, and lay next to me. As I looked over I noticed he too was browsing MN on his phone!!

Is this what our lives have become?!! I'm telling you, he would be such a troll let loose on here! I accused him of starting that bizarre t-rex thread earlier! It would be the kind of dumb thing he would do! He swore blind it wasn't him I checked his history, it wasn't Grin

YellowWellies · 22/06/2012 23:55

Aw tinkerbell I think having a couple of weeks off to get your mind at peace and to have the luxury of time to think about your lost daughter would perhaps be the perfect preparation for your 20 week scan. I'm sure it will all be fine but can't imagine what you're going through. You must be so scared of lightning striking twice - but it won't hon, it really won't xxxxxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/06/2012 07:53

this is the bag but I cant decide between black or white.

Chunkychicken · 23/06/2012 08:07

That's lovely DH was just pressing 'buy now' when I thought I really shouldn't, have enough house stuff to buy for now!! Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/06/2012 08:19

Lol chunky they're nice bags, which colour did you like?

horseylady · 23/06/2012 08:29

Lovely bags, I liked the light blue one :)

SwissArmyWife · 23/06/2012 08:41

Oooh I love those bags, i'm obsessed with cupcakes (the kitchen is full of cupcake things) and cheap too. Hmmm Grin

I'm not buying anything else until after the scan though, as every day I get a little bit more worried about it. I haven't been feeling baby much at all over the last few days and i'm on a bit of a downer about it.
I made the mistake of watching Eastenders yesterday too which didn't help :(
What a horrible storyline.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/06/2012 08:46

Lol looks like Ive found a popular bag, we'll all have the same in Nov!

I like the light blue one too but Im going to use the bag when the baby is first born and then when shes older use it just for me so I need it to go with most of my clothes.

There are larger versions on ebay too, think they're about £15 they've got two pockets to the front, they look more like changing bags.

GTbaby · 23/06/2012 09:32

Up 5 times to go wee last night! How is my bladder so full?
N now I need to go again Sad so much for my lay in.

Watched Eastenders last night Sad y can no one have a baby without problems on that show?!?

Oh well better get up. Bought a house last week (to rent out ) n have to go n clean up. What a fun day Grin

MissMummy1 · 23/06/2012 09:32

Thank you DH21! I actually think i like these bags more than the pink lining ones. I certainly like the price more! Looks like we'll all be matching. Swiss, my scans still another three weeks away and Im really worried too. I haven't felt any definite movement and other than being a bit fat really dont feel pregnant any more...

MissMummy1 · 23/06/2012 10:13

Has anyone who has had problems with their bank accounts managed to get them solved? Just realise my RBS account is affected too. Should have been paid yesterday and came out this morning to find my car has a punctured tyre. Thankfully all my direct debits have come out this month, but bank reckon it won't be sorted before Monday. Feck...

Brockle · 23/06/2012 10:46

Erm..I am a convert to the bag as well.. DH make no more fabulously cost effective suggestions otherwise I will be bankrupt by November!

Iheartpasties · 23/06/2012 10:58

hey Ladies,

So much chat! I have just read 9 pages to catch up from the day before last!!

I use a laptop bag for a change bag, I wanted one I would use down the line, it's quite a good sized shoulder/courrier type bag.

I have been sewing a quilt/comforter for DD the last week, and it's really close to being finished, but my sewing machine is playing up today and I'm so annoyed with it! Argh! It just needs the finishing toucehs and it's ready to be used (trashed) by DD.

There has been a lot of news in the last 9 pages and I am following it all and I hope everyone is ok. Please don't stress too much about your scans, easier said than done I know :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/06/2012 11:10

Oooh you all love the bags! I should be on commision!

I wont be buying one til after my hol, but even then I wont use it til baby is here.
What colour are people going for? I still cant decide.

missmummy we're still having problems with Natwest, luckily we could withdraw our holiday savings from there this morning so we've changed that up and its sitting at home, where I think its safer!
I dont see it being fixed til Monday at least.

applepieinthesky · 23/06/2012 11:13

The blue bag is nice.

missmummy They are saying monday at the earliest before it's sorted.

DP is doing overtime this morning to help us save a few more pennies and I had a go at him when he told me last night because it meant getting up at 5am. I usually get up when he does because I can't sleep after that so my two days off this week I have to get up at 5am and 7am. I shouldn't have taken it out on him though, he's only trying to help ease some of the pressure so I don't have to go back to work too early. I better be extra nice when he gets home.

ShellyBobbs · 23/06/2012 11:14

By the way ladies, I've found the PERFECT thing for all of us, it will save money, is good for babies skin and environmentally friendly. It's called an Ecoegg and you can use it instead of detergent and softner, it is totally safe and lasts for 3 years, it's only £20. I was really skeptical about it, but read the reviews and went for it. What can I say, the hype is true, it really is that good. Will also make you feel better for spending £80 on a changing bag because you'll save more than this on powder alone! You can also not bother with the rinse cycle and save water aswell. How good is this egg.......

ShellyBobbs · 23/06/2012 11:17

Apple I'm doing overtime everyweek now until maternity leave :(
