Welcome!

Hmm.. OPK on 30th means you probably ovulated on the 1st or 2nd. Lets say the 2nd. Your bfp would then have been at 13dpo, so fetal age now would be 6 weeks, making you 8 weeks gone.

However, if the OPK was a false positive from your body gearing up for ovulation then stalling, you could have ovulated as late as the 6th or 7th (or later, but that pushes the bounds of the bfp) making it a very early 8-9DPO bfp. This would give a fetal age of 5w+1, and 7+1 'total'. Which could tie in with just an egg sac being seen?

I've seen posts on here with empty sacs/no fetal pole being seen on scans at about 7 weeks with positive outcomes, so I'd say it's possible everything is ok. I can't tell you how probable it is, but we're Brookers, so I'm sure everything will be fine!

ScrambledSmegs · 12/06/2012 11:06

Fluff I think the term is 'pram-hun'! At least you got a travel system out of her addiction!

Brooking for you Cartoon xxx

cartoonface · 12/06/2012 11:10

I have also read about positive out comes so u just never know. One person didn't see anything till 11wks. But I'm not too hopefull

whimsicalname · 12/06/2012 11:15

Oh cartoon how worrying for you, and what a long week it will be. Extra big brooking for you, and a bite of my (covetted, and the last in the shop) pain au raisin. Now that's love.

whimsicalname · 12/06/2012 11:21

I could totally have become a pram addict stacks and fluff if only I had the resources and wasn't such a tightwad. I think in my time I've owned 5 different sets, which actually makes me think 'sod it, i'll get a new one'. The problem is, no pram is good for all occasions, so it's really tempting to keep getting ones for different occasions. I don't mean weddings, funerals, nights on the tiles, more 'a day out shopping' 'daily life' 'days when you need to get the bus' 'days when you look after an extra child' that sort of thing.

And having a second child is a whole new world of pain pram wise. A woman in mothercare (a staff member) told me there isn't really a good way to transport 2 children except to have a nanny.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 12/06/2012 12:25

I agree with smegs, cartoon - an OPK isn't a dead cert for imminent ovulation, and you could have easily ovulated a week later (it happened to me once), especially if your body was still getting itself in order after a mc. Step away from google, and look after yourself.

I bet it is really difficult to get a toddler and a baby around whims, arf at the nanny though :o

cartoonface · 12/06/2012 14:18

Didn't step away from Google quick enough. She said my sac is quite big but that there is a wide variation of sizes so that doesn't nec mean anything, but google says at that size of sac they can immediately diagnose blighted ovum

Stacks · 12/06/2012 17:35

Oh cartoon, brooking for you that everything is ok, and you get a nice positive result from your scan next week.

clickingtock · 12/06/2012 18:32

Poor Cartoon, how hard for you. Brooking.

V intrigued Bg pram addictions. Feel greedy that I am after a new one following one crappy eBay purchase and a cheaply strolled (Jane - don't bother). Really like Cliff's choice. Was wondering if anyone had used the only McLaren suitable from birth though? As i'm a sling woman I feel I could get through early months without a 'pram' so really need a v good stroller for DS really. But I do love a lie flat pram and don't have a carry cot. Ooh decisions.

Sorry Smegs is ill. Honey and lemon tea for you.

Waves to all.

Xxx

clickingtock · 12/06/2012 18:32

Bloody phone typos, sorry. X

NinjaChipmunk · 13/06/2012 09:03

oh cartoon how difficult for you. I shall be brooking hard for next weeks scan x

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 13/06/2012 09:19

Adding my No Brooking to everyone else's Cartoon. We haven't properly "met" but I'm a rat smacker graduate and a No Brooker postgraduate, so I'll be using my Brooking No Argument experience to send you the very best good luck vibes for your next scan.

ScrambledSmegs · 13/06/2012 09:32

cartoon you know you should keep away from Dr Google. Look, it's still very early for you, OPK's are not infallible at predicting ovulation (far from it!) and you have us all brooking no argument that you will see the heartbeat of your teeny tiny baby next week. So please don't spend your time googling stuff on t'internet as all it will do is worry you, and make you dwell on it

Ooh, hark at me, mistress bossy-pants! Hmm Sorry that was meant to be a lot nicer sounding. Sad

Have a hug instead (((((cartoon)))))

Yes miss smegs. [Smile] I shall try and busy myself today and hope the days go quickly

GenericDietCola · 13/06/2012 09:53

Still brooking for you too Cartoon!

Hello everyone else, just peeking in!

JenFraggle · 13/06/2012 10:42

Cartoon the power of the no brookers is amazing. Obviously nobody has told your LO that you are a no brooker and as soon as it realises, it will be growing away like nobody's business and giving you loads of symptoms to moan about :o

cartoonface · 13/06/2012 11:24

Thank u all for being so kind. It's my booking appointment today. Not sure whether to still go

NinjaChipmunk · 13/06/2012 11:36

cartoon I would go if I were you and talk to the MW about the scan. If she is an experienced MW she well have some good advice for you.
how are you both doing my lovelies?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 13/06/2012 11:38

I agree with Ninja, cartoon - you should definitely go :)

whimsicalname · 13/06/2012 12:18

tock if you're in the market for a new pushchair, I'd really recommend a Phil and Ted. They make really good single buggies, and the double bit comes on and off really easily. They also have the option of lying flat, and the 'coccoon' bit is a good proxy for a carry cot. I'm really looking forward to getting mine out again!

I'd also say fluff if you think you might have a second within a couple of years, they're a good investment.

Hello everyone else. Sorry for the incessant pram chat.

NinjaChipmunk · 13/06/2012 13:05

Oh god! We've just viewed a house and both loved it. I reckon if we could get it at 10% off asking price we could just afford it but its still really rather expensive. The vendors are kiwis and are moving back over to NZ apparently. I think I need to calm down and think about this rationally! We really need to put ours on the market by next week I think!

whimsicalname · 13/06/2012 13:19

How exciting ninja. Nothing like a bit of house moving to get you a baby.

fluff I was wondering if you'd actually made any of the Megan Nielsen patterns? I'm just about to embark on the shirt to tunic one. Any advice?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 13/06/2012 14:04

How exciting ninja! I hope they drop the price for you :)

I've just bought 2 half-price dreampods (grow bags) from our local Mamas and Papas :o

While I was there I saw something called a pramsuit: essential in the Winter, or frivolous extravagance?
