Morning all,

I'm afraid to say there is a possibility that I might leave the thread, Sorry if tmi but bleeding abit bright red which is more than spotting and passed two small clots. on the scan on fri there was no reason for bleeding the ech had cleared up and baby was fine. I suppose there is a hope as many women bleed in preg but its the clots thats worrying me. Feel i am messing the parents of my mindees with canceling work here and there.

waiting till after 8am to ring epu.

calvemjoe · 08/03/2006 07:38

Oh puppy, I hope everythings ok. Thinking about you, xx

HellKat · 08/03/2006 07:39

Puppy- Oh hunny {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} I know exactly what this like. I passed huge clots too and flooded a few times aswell. Well done for getting it checked. Hopefully they'll see you a.s.a.p. Did you hear the hb when you had the scan? Supposedly, if you actually hear the hb the risks of mc are reduced. Thinking of you xxxxxxxxxx

calvemjoe · 08/03/2006 07:54

Hellkat, how are you feeling this am after your toddler headbutted your bump, hope everythings ok. Congrats on the strong heartbeat.

Compo, great news on your scan. My friends beanie had a nuchal fold of 1.3mm and everything was fine. Cheese and pickle sandwiches are healthy, think of all the calcium for healthy strong beanie bones (well thats what I keep on telling myself Wink )

Homemama, congrats on keeping the shortbread down!

Bella, we have to be booked in with our midwife by 12 weeks, however, my midwife sorts out all the scans and tests and everything, so I think yoou need to chase up an appointment.

Envy to all of you eating peauts, have been craving dry roasted peanuts for a couple of weeks now but both dh and I get ezcema and asthma (as does ds) and ds also has a couple of anaphylactic reactions so I really can't risk it.

Ds has managed to keep a rusk in his little tummy for 12 hours so I'm hoping he's getting over this nasty bug, but now he's coming down with yet another cold. TMI alert, green snot already so not holding much hope for this one to go without a chest infection bless him.

Hope everyone's ok, sorry it's a long post, I've not been able to get on for a few days with my sick little boy xx

HellKat · 08/03/2006 07:58

Cal- Awwww you poor little man. Wow this bug really took hold huh? HOpe he starts improving soon. nothing worse than when are babba's are poorly. Bump's fine ta hun. No pains since that one twinge. Think ds2 felt guilty though. Where I said "ouch" when it happened, he kept snuggling and kissing me.

puppy · 08/03/2006 08:11

thanks cal and hkat, did not hear heartbeat saw it in scan though, feeling very crampy just like the start of af. Its not like ech was playing up. have to call back epu shortly. my mum coming round will keep updated.

HellKat · 08/03/2006 08:23

ok sweety. Good luck. Fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Woodelf · 08/03/2006 08:33

Puppy, good luck today - will be thinking of you and beanie sweetie.

Cal, hope your little one starts feeling better soon - some indication of the worries to come once they come into the world!!

HK - seems the beanies are quite tough to put up with such rough treatmetnt - my cats have been v keen to knead the belly recently although they get a bit disgusted and me shoving them off....

HellKat · 08/03/2006 08:36

Lol Wood. My eldest cat likes to do that but I dare'nt let her. she's a big gal (1n1/2stone,2ft long, 1ft tall). So she's been doing it to ds2 instead Smile

puppy · 08/03/2006 09:03

Thanks scan tomorrow at 9am, epu said it still could be the ech as th4 placenta takes over at this stage and the echs' normally come away at 12 weeks, even thought the scan showed no ech???

Anywa will not posted again today as i don't want to put a damper on this thread.

Hope you are all well

pupster xx

Lysettes · 08/03/2006 09:20

Bella23 · 08/03/2006 10:20

Puppy - gosh, sorry to hear you are having a terrible timeSad
I do think the fact your last scan showed everything was normal that you stand a great chance that its all going to be ok. Sounds like Hellkat has had this and she is fine.
Hugs, will keep things crossed for tomorrow xx

HellKat · 08/03/2006 10:37

Good luck for tomorrow hunny. You have no worries about putting a damper on this thread. We're all here for you. If you need to let off steam or chat about your worries, that's what we're here for. As Bella said, the scan showed everything's ok so fingers crossed it's the same tomorrow.

Thinking of you Puppy :)

Bella, sounds odd doesn't it but they are really yummy..well currently they are anyhow!!!

appyday · 08/03/2006 16:14

Hi, everyone. Just looked back and I haven't posted for a month. DD been quite ill twice, in between which DH and I had food poisoning, and for the last week and half I've had flu. This is not a healthy house! Apart from that I'm so envious of all the scans, heartbeats, cravings and growing bumps, as I still look and feel "normal", the midwife can't feel or hear anything yetSad, and I don't go for a scan until a week Friday. Just hope little one is ok as I've not really been up to food much in the last 3-4 weeks.

HellKat · 08/03/2006 16:23

Hi Appy.
You poor thing!!! Sounds dreadful. Maybe the mw can't hear or feel anything because you have'nt been able to eat? Beanies are tough little things and I'm sure it'll be pinching the last of your reserves. Hope you all feel better soon.

Lysettes · 08/03/2006 17:09

Appy - you poorly thing you. i'm sure beanie is taking all that it needs and making it longer for you to recover.

try and rest and it sounds really silly but hot water, honey and lemon juice is a great pick me up and very soothing. plus full of good stuff and very yummy. It might help Smile

LexyB · 08/03/2006 19:27

Hi everyone
Gosh so much has been hapening and I haven't had a chance to post for ages. On the rare occasions that the three teenagers are not using the computer I am usually too tired to post. Plus went back to work last week and still trying to sort out all the things not done/messed up when I was off sick. Wondering if it was worth having all that time off!

Jealous of all of you feeling the baby moving - still nothing from my beanie probably cos there's too much flab in the way. Look about 20 weeks preg and have had to wear maternity clothes already and then v embarrassed to admit only 13 weeks. Know the beanie is ok as have sonicaid from work and listen to it few times a week.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Puppy.

appyday · 08/03/2006 19:58

Lysettes, funnily enough my DH swears by honey and lemon, and since I have lost my voice for over a week now I should really be drinking more of it. MW isn't too concerned about beanie, she says they're proper little parasites and have no intention of going without, and I think they are just the same once they are born. I swear I am getting monkey arms from carrying DD, and if I don't pick her up she just follows me like a little Frankenstein, arms out, " carry, mummy, carry". She couldn't even make it back up the garden yesterday, PMSL at the ensuing tantrum. I just can't wait until there's 2 to deal with!

Angeliz · 08/03/2006 20:37

Puppy, we'll all be thinking about you tomorrow,(please don't think you're putting a dampner on things, talk to usSmile )++++++++

Appyday, my dp used to say that, the baby will always get it's needs met, it's a parasiteSmile

I went shopping today and got some FAB new maternity jeans from Dorothy Perkins. They are sort of normal looking with zip and button (oppose to those nana crotchesBlush ) and have a big soft elastic waist higher up. The assistant looked at me and said 'did you get your own size?'. I said yes (i'm usually in 8 to 10 so went for the 10) and she said"ooh no i'd get the 8 as you're so tiny" Strange but made my day that she could see i was sporting quite a bump but still looked slim. Have no idea why as i don't care how much weight i put on, just made me smile. and she was right!!
