Angeliz- pmsl at dd. Too funny, Great news hun!!! Lol I did something similar yesterday. I had a scan appt through and swore blind it said Wednesday just gone. I ranted & raved about how incompintent the hospital were etc and decided to show the mw/nurse at the heartbeat check. She looked then giggled and showed me. It's for the 3rd May!!!! Lol! Pg addles your brain I tell ya!
How's everyone??

compo · 04/03/2006 13:30

Fab news Angeliz - hope you're not going to desert us for the August thread!!
Still throwing up here. Can't wait til scan on Monday although we've told most people now so not many people left to tell!!

Woodelf · 04/03/2006 16:07

Hi there.

Puppy, Angeliz and Hellkat - Grin so pleased your scans went well and the beanies were jumping around.

Really feeling the pg is real now, definately have a little sign of bump and the wonderful wrap maternity dress I got off ebay for a may wedding came this morning - a bit scary to imagine i'll fill out the pouch at the front more then!!

Broken out in spots so definately at 3 months!

{{{hugs}}}} to all awaiting scans

HellKat · 04/03/2006 17:07

Wood- actually, mine are clearing up lol. Mine were terrible in the first few weeks (I rarely get spots so when I do it's a huge bugger that illuminates my face).
Dp bought me maternity undies with a belly & back support. Thought the same as you regarding the pouch at the front!

Compo- Good luck Monday! Smile

Blush oopps poxy comp lol.

Lysettes · 04/03/2006 17:31

Puppy I'm so pleased for you! that's great news.

Blood pressure tips - another MN member told me that celery really helps although i'm on methyldopa since 10+1 so that's really working Grin also gentle exercise - swimming is great. I am at the ANC every week at the moment getting it checked and having them remind me that I have to be careful. Just relax, it's the best thing, although easier said than done I know.

My spots were dreadful for first 12 weeks but starting to clear up now which is wonderful - DH thinks he's making sure I feel noticed when he points them out (and he does mean well) but it just makes me cry.

Has anyone else felt "left out" of normal life recently? Everyone automatically assumes that I don't want to go out anywhere because I'm not drinking and it's driving me mad! I haven't lost my social skills Blush

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone and fingers crossed to everyone waiting for scans.

calvemjoe · 04/03/2006 18:59

My spots are just starting to clear up aswell. DH brought me a facial yesterday to make me feel a bit better and the beauty therapist kept going on and on about my 'outbreaks'. Made me want to cry!
Lysettes, I work weekends so often get left out of normal plans but it's even worse at the moment, so I know where you're coming from.

After just getting over the nasty flu bug he's had, ds has now got a tummy bug bless him. He seems so skinny and frail after 2 days of everything going straight through him, and he was properly sick for the 1st time, all over the bar area of the health club my dh works for.
He's been so sad. Was really worried about him this am as he seemed to be losing conciousness but he's been doing a bit better this afternoon after a good long sleep.

13 weeks 4 days and a scan in 2 weeks and 3 days, so it is getting closer, BUT IT FEELS SO FAR AWAY!

Angeliz · 04/03/2006 20:23

Thanks allSmile
No i'l not desert for the August thread, it's taken me this long to get to know all of you (and it's still hard to keep up and i always worry i'm completely ignoring someone!)

Lysettes, i feel for you. Just invite yourself along to things till they get the hint.
I don't feel any difference tbh apart form not having a glass of wine. I never go out to start with!Grin

calvemjoe, hope your poor ds feels better soonSad

HellKat · 05/03/2006 08:52

Morning all.
Cal- Awwwww your poor little ds!!! Hope he improves soon hun.

How's everyone?

benjaminsmum · 05/03/2006 09:50

Morning,
Congrats on all the healthy beanie scans and heartbeat checks.
Feeling good today. MIL here so I can get on the internet for five minutes. I have no time for anything now ds doesn't sleep during the day anymore.
I am beginning to 'bloom' and really looking forward to the rest of this pregnancy now. Fourteen weeks today so decided not to worry any more as worst risk is over with. Now counting down to twenty week scan! Six weeks to go!

calvemjoe · 05/03/2006 13:46

Thanks Hellkat and Angeliz, he's still a poorly little boy. He's been curled up in ball sobbing for his mummy with tummy cramps. Feel so helpless.

curlygirl · 05/03/2006 14:11

Calvemjoe- I can sympathise. My 15 mnth old dd s had a vomiting bug Mon-wed, but still really off her food. I even posted on another thread this morning because I am so worried about her. She is not very chubby at the best of times but at the moment she is looking really skinny. She won't even eat her favourite - pasta in tomato sauce.
Glad to hear everyone is ok. Told my dad about the baby on saturday, he said : "I thought you had put on a bit of weight" followed by " dd won't be so spoiled now will she?", came home feeling really deflated.

calvemjoe · 05/03/2006 15:26

Oh bless curly girl, it's heartbreaking isn't it. Hope she gets better soon. LOL at putting on weight! Parents can be so kind.

Bella23 · 06/03/2006 09:21

Morning all

Well Scan day today at 1pm so can't focus on much else as head is in the clouds. Promise to tell all later this PM

HellKat · 06/03/2006 09:38

Morning all
Bella- Good luck hun!

Sad day today. Had to have one of my cats put down because he was elderly and started messing everywhere. Sad but relieved though because it was stressing out the two and it's alot nicer for ds2 without having to worry about whether or not the cat had gone for a pee somewhere.

Anyhoo, how's everyone?

homemama · 06/03/2006 09:57

Morning,
Hope everyone is well. Great news on all the scan results. Bella, good luck this afternoon. I have mine next Monday.
Well, I'm 11+5 today and no end in sight to the sickness although I'm def. less sick in the mornings now (just afternoons and all night to worry about Grin)
Norms, is your new medication working? It sounds good.

I have 2 weddings to go to this summer so I'll need to find something to wear. One of the brides is a good friend and asked me to be her bridesmaid last week so I explained that by August I'll be 8mths pg. She replied that she didn't mind if I didn't but I've respectfully declined! Grin DH said I'd need to get my dress from that bridal shop called, 'It's never too late' Wink Grin

puppy · 06/03/2006 10:06

lol at your pork scratching craving - mine is findus crispy pancakes!!

Bella23 · 06/03/2006 10:27

Hellkat - Am so Sad to hear about your cat.
I have 2 and they are so part of our family that I would be devastated if one of them went.

compo · 06/03/2006 10:38

Morning everyone - my scan is at 2.30pm and I've got butterflies already!! Not helped by just watching The Wright Stuff and some woman rang up about going for her 12 week scan and no heartbeat was detected. Dh tells me i'm far too pessimistic but I can't help it!! Will be on later to let you all know. Good luck Bella Smile
