Puppy - bless, just had a little smirk over the petrol info Smile
Men aren't very good at dicusssing emotional things, they just want to talk positive and don't see the point in crying. Forgive DH and have a little weep, helps release your worry.

Angeliz - wow good luck this afternoon with your scan xx

puppy · 03/03/2006 10:18

Bella I know its so very very embarassing, it not that i have avoided, just never had to as when dh uses it he tops it up ( not this time) lol

a big fat Blush

Normsnockers · 03/03/2006 11:22

Hope everything turns out OK Puppy and good luck for this afternoon Angeliz.

So many worrying things to happen in the first half of a pregnancy aren't there.

I am planning on spending tomorrow at my mums with ds for some tlc and the chance to have an afternoon nap without dh harping on about "when are you going to get better/start feeling well again ?".

I may have a little weep as I could really do with one and I think it would be better to let it all out than bottle it up. Maybe we all need to have a good cry as it lets out any pent up emotion. I felt better last pregnancy for a good sob (just the once if I remember correctly).

Any tips for lowering blood pressure would be gratefully recieved as I have to see the m/w again next week to get it checked.
Does eating chocolate reduce blood pressure ?
I am getting my appetite back as you may have gathered, these new drugs are helping a lot. (I've had a bacon butty and a kit kat this morning and it's only 11.15 !

kreamkrackers · 03/03/2006 12:03

i think if you eat healthy foods, exercise a little and try to relax it can all help to lower blood pressure.

i had a good cry yesterday by myself writing about how dd almost lost her life. it's such a hard thing to try to move on from i need some answers from the hospital that didn't believe anything was wrong with dd until it was almost too late. because of there stupidity dd went in to multiple organ failure when her body started shutting down but luckily doesn't have any perminent damage. i have thought about it a lot with this pregnancy and hopefully i will get some answers from the hospital that let this happen before this baby's born and hopefully i will then be able to move on.

Have taken KK's advice and been for a walk at lunchtime. First time I'd have been able to manage that without embarassing myself for weeks.

Have picked up my Emma's diary "mum to be" pack from Boots. After chucking away all the paperwork I'm left with a portion of all-bran, a tube of massage cream for stretch marks and some fruit flakes with yoghurt coating. What can they be hinting at ?

puppy · 03/03/2006 14:44

I'm back Grin

Baby is fine measures 51mm, no cause for bleeding can be found. epu says it prob tail end of ech coming away.

Scan says I am 11+6 but need to go for another in a fortnight as it was hard to measure as i have a retroverted uterus.

Thinking of others who are having scans, good luck.

Normsnockers · 03/03/2006 14:52

Glad its good news puppy

calvemjoe · 03/03/2006 15:14

Congrats puppy!
Good luck to all the other scans and hertbeat checks today, hope they go well.

Norms, well done on the walk, the new drugs must be really helping, hope you enjoyed it x

pol25 · 03/03/2006 15:25

Due on the 20th and already the size of a house, might add was a little fattie before preg though.
Anyone else filling their maternity wardrobe already too?!!!!

Bella23 · 03/03/2006 15:33

Puppy - FAB NEWS !!Grin

compo · 03/03/2006 15:45

Great news Puppy. I know what you mean about the Mum to Be pack NN. It's rubbish isn't it?!!

LexyB · 03/03/2006 15:52

congrats puppy, you must be so relieved.

Norms - glad you are feeling better and hope the sickness passes for you soon. In my 3rd preg it lastest till about 26 weeks but last time it was gone by 16 and so I am hopeful it will have gone soon - am 13 weeks today. Still really tires though, probably not helped by going back to work this week. Had a really hectic day yesterday so been very lazy today - curled up on the sofa with the toddler and had a 2 hour sleep earlier. Bliss.

HellKat · 03/03/2006 15:56

Puppy- Wonderful news!!!!
Well everything great Grin. She did'nt have to rummage around for a heartbeat, it picked it up almost immediately (thank god, it was almost as if babba knew I was bricking it lol). My tum measures bang on 12 wks too!!! I'm a very happy bunny today!! Lol the mw did comment on hig big my bump was (and did make a dodgy comment about my "lanky legs sticking out under it"!!
Positive thinking from on!!!!!!!!
Good luck Angeliz with yours hun.

compo · 03/03/2006 15:58

Thank you to all , yep so relieved I can fully relax and tell people now. Got a pic too can't stop looking at it Grin. We took ds with us and when hew looks at the scan pic he says baby in mummys tummy awwwww.

and to top of the good day its snowing!! Grin

Thinking of you angeliz, who else is due a scan shortly?

HellKat · 03/03/2006 16:09

Awww Puppy!! Bless!!!! I love looking at my 9wk scan pic. Her tummy looks all round! (wow she's coming mum already pmsl).
Compo- I know, cheeky mare, but she's lovely. Guess it's nice for her to see this pg going so well after all the trouble in the beginning (plus she dealt with us when we had the mc too). Luckily the hospital staff has'nt chaged so we get to see old faces.

Normsnockers · 03/03/2006 17:10

Congrats on the good news Hellkat just in time for the weekend too. No lying awake with niggling worries this weekend.

HellKat · 03/03/2006 17:29

Angeliz · 03/03/2006 20:40

puppy and HellKat. EXCELLENT news.Smile Smile

Well, i only went on the wrong day, she couldn't find me and i gace her the letter and she read out ' March 6th?' i was gobsmacked- have lost me marbles i swear. Anyway lovely new receptionisit, (as other one was awful) rang the csonographer and they just fit me right in bless them.
They saw the heart straight away and immediately i was releived, did her measurements and then showed us. DD was amazed and dp and i ecstatic. Doesn't metter how may you have or not, it's always a miravle. It seems so real now, at one point the baby lifted it's hand and she clicked so we have a photo of it 'waving' at it's sisterSmile. Had a great view of it's feet too and seems to have my other daughters habit of crossing ankles.
She put me at 14+ weeks and said i'm due not on 7th but on the 31st AugustShock or 1st September but she's wrote 31st on my notes.

Am on a high still as i'm sure are you other two todaySmile

Angeliz · 03/03/2006 20:42

BTW, dd keeps asking me where the bay gets out and i distract-evade. Today in the car she said, well if it doesn't come up (out the mouth) then does it come out of your bottom? I can't lie when she's asked me outright so i said yes. (she's just turned five)
Hysterical laughter followed, then tales of how she was never having a baby but if she did have one it wasn't coming out!!Grin

popsycalindisguise · 03/03/2006 20:49
