Well Envy Valium Well, DP is Grin

Evilwater · 11/04/2012 19:13

I'd love to have some energy, let alone a libido. Off to work for my last night this week, and back to days on Friday.

Plunkett · 11/04/2012 19:18

Hi everyone
Only posted once before but been stalking following the thread. I had a really bad day today, emotional and sooo sick and was going to come on here for a rant.
Having read through all the latest posts and so much sad news from some of the early posters has reminded me how lucky i am. I am so sorry to all those that have had bad news and hope the best for you all in the future.

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 19:37

Not had sex for 5 weeks now and there is no way I feel like it yet either.

Bought some maternity pants today as my old pants are now completely unbuttoned and at the bottom of the zip! Thought about buying the next size up but no point really so had a good old look round Mothercare. At least my dough arse will fit in something now. As for my bra, omg! 2 weeks ago I went up a size and am on the verge of the next size again (nipples falling out).

Oh and had the first good nights sleep for months last night. Waited until hubby was asleep, nicked his new pillow and stuck it under my belly (very tender), ah bliss, woke up at 11am!

tomatoplantproject · 11/04/2012 19:42

What a heartbreaking day of news on this thread - best wishes for sticky gummy bears to pink and essex, and apple - sad sad news. If he is young and healthy he will have much strength to see him through but all the best to you and yours in the meantime.

Am still trundling along - 12 week scan 2 weeks today. Detective I'm doing the hot and sweaty with freezing feet too, and just can't bear to be touched much.

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 19:51

Tomato we have our scans on the same day! It feels like forever... sure it will soon be here!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 11/04/2012 20:13

I'm so sorry to hear of all the bad news on this thread these last few days. I'm thinking if you and your partners.

I had my first day back at work after being off sick for a while. Colleagues not so helpful but hey ho. There are two woman pregnant at the min and they are all trying to suss out who will be next! I feel like is have a massive flashing PREGNANT sign above me. Only 3 weeks til I can tell them. Might be more helpful when they know about baby!

Passmethecrisps · 11/04/2012 20:33

izzy I know what you mean! I very recently got married after a long 'courting' so everyone seems to be presuming - damned them for being right! I can't risk mentioning a sore back, being hungry, tired or anything as I am convinced I will get nods and winks.

What a day it's been. . . Been chatting to DH about it as I went from being bouncy chirpy this morning to a lot more introspective. I am so impressed with the courage and incredible strength of each woman today and in the last couple of days. Their example makes me feel that I would cope too - that has been massively valuable.

On a lighter note - libido? I had one once but I think it might be behind the sofa. Can't be arsed looking for it.

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 20:36

I think the dog ate mine :)

superpenguin · 11/04/2012 20:44

Sex? Lol, don't think me and dh have done it since conceiving! Luckily we're both equally uninterested in that at the moment!

I'm 9 weeks today and survived another day in work despite feeling awful. Mine is way worse in the evenings though, I don't know why they call it morning sickness! Vomiting every eve now, yuk.

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 20:52

This sickness is awful isn't it, I'm 9 weeks today too! The smell thing is also getting on my nerves, I can't wear my favorite top at the mo because I don't like how it smells ewwww.......

Katuk82 · 11/04/2012 20:52

Thoughts with Pink and Essex, so sorry to hear the bad news, like everyone has said your strength has been inspiring and wish you the best of luck for the future.

Good news about my scan date, after initially been booked for over 14 weeks they have now been able to move it to 13 weeks.... and my DP has booked us a private scan for Sunday so if everything is ok we can finally start telling people - we don't live near family and it will take a whole month of weekends to see everyone face to face so the sooner we start the better. On my side this will be the only opportunity for grandchild / great grandchild so really want to tell people face to face, with a pic :)

Still no MS here, but i can't stop eating, i need to eat every 2 hours... i know baby isn't using this extra food so slightly worried about where its all going Blush

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 20:54

Oh yes, and I've been gulping down bottles and bottles of fizzy (sugar free) Aldi orange as this seems to be the only thing that settles the sickness slightly. Funny because normally I can't stand fizzy drinks.

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 20:58

Kat Today I've had the pregnancy hunger so bad, where you could actually eat anything that moves and you have to eat it NOW. I'd forgotten how bad it got, but at least I can see where my food has been going, in the dangly saggy apron bit that my last 3 dc left for me!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/04/2012 21:05

I'm a bit in love with orange fanta atm, has to be out of a can with a straw though!

I'm eating loads too, weighed myself today for the first time in ages and I haven't put on any weight which is good considering my belly has doubled in size.
I feel almost constantly nauseous now but feel hungry yet the thought of almost any food makes me feel sick.

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 21:09

Desperate you just made me lol with the 'my belly has doubled in size'.

I love Fanta too, but am drinking that much of the fizzy stuff at the mo, I can only afford to drink the Aldi version, it's a little bit rank but topped up with lemonade seems to do the trick for me.

I used to eat Jubbly ice pops loads last year and thought that if I ever got pregnant again I was certain that I would eat tons of them. I bought 3 boxes the other day and they aren't even as nice as they were in my non pregnant state :(

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 21:11

Isn't it strange how we go off what we normally love, and some of us want certain types of food, and others can't think of anything worse than those foods!

Juice, fruit, sweets, pasta, cabbage... these are the main things I can tolerate and/or want at the moment! It can vary day to day, but the above things can usually get a weak smile of approval!

Gone off chocolate, chicken and coca cola in a big way!

It means we have to go food shopping every day though, as I never really know what I want!

ShellyBobbs · 11/04/2012 21:22

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. It wasn't until 6.30 tonight that I had to nip to the shops for some tomatoes so that I could just eat them with mozerella. I've gone off chocolate too which I usually adore, oh and last week I had to have a cheese ploughmans every day, sometimes hunting around every shop until I found one.

I was drinking gallons of Vimto until 2 weeks ago when I started on the fizzies, can't even stand the smell of it now.

Really can't stand the smell of hubby at the mo, but would never say anything to him lol.

Victorious03 · 11/04/2012 21:31

Good evening ladies,

Finally got a chance to sit and post after what has been a roller-coaster day.

I had my scan and great news Grin we saw little slim, measuring 1.95cm from crown to rump and we heard the heartbeat, which was 170bpm. Grin DP was amazed.

Just thought I would let you lovely ladies know our happy news.Grin

Katuk82 · 11/04/2012 21:36

Desperate not even going to weigh myself! Though my work trousers were a bit tight today Shock

Shelly Yup, gotta eat it now.. like 4am Sat morning! now having a night time snack before bed which seems to keep me going till morning :)

Not gone off anything so far, and if anyone can't stand chocolate been in the house you're more then welcome to send it my way!
