detective I think I can feel my uterus growing up too, I feel it all the time and it feels like its higher now.
Dh and I still having regular sex (about 2-3 times a week) but I don't get cramps or pain so I'm quite lucky I get to enjoy it still (for now!)

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 16:12

Poor DP then! Everyone elses seems to be getting it, just not him! Bless, he must feel redundant now Grin.

Has anyone else felt any strange things going on 'down there'?! Last night (before the shagging debarcle) I swear I felt something 'scraping' behind my pubic bone, and strangle bubbles occuring! Felt it the night before too. However my midwife brain says DETECTIVE WHEN DID YOU LAST GO FOR A POO?! I think I have my own answer lmao!

horseylady · 11/04/2012 16:29

How does the uterus feel?! Only dtd twice poor dh. Nights are bad I feel too tired and sick I'm up at 6 to get to work so have very little time. Will try over the next few days!!

Peaky1 · 11/04/2012 16:41

Don't worry about it horsey lady. There's gonna be feckin cobwebs down there by the time I feel like doing it =/

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 16:42

It like a small round hard lump just above your pubic bone, it goes across the middle 10cm approximately! You feel the difference by feeling above, it should feel softer, the uterus is quite a hard thing!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/04/2012 17:02

Yeah I can def feel it. I have all sorts of feelings and what I swear are movements but turns out to be wind!
My whole digestion has slowed down though, it takes day for things to shift along now!

Stuntnun · 11/04/2012 17:07

If anyone is updating the stats (sorry but I can't manage it on the phone) maybe we could have a 'gone but not forgotten' section at the bottom for all the lovely ladies who have had to leave us? I still pop on to the June thread to see what my former compadres are up to do I'd like to think they'll be keeping an eye on us and hopefully being able to give us good news a few months down the line.

So sorry to hear your news pink and essex. I got PG less than three months after the MC even though it had taken 15 months before that so I think when you have been pregnant it will happen more easily for you the next time. Thinking of you both and fingers crossed for Nebbo.

Stuntnun · 11/04/2012 17:15

Btw Detective I'm gonna blame you if anyone catches me rummaging down my trousers. I don't think they'll fall for the old "I was just trying to feel my uterus" excuse lol!

applepieinthesky · 11/04/2012 17:21

Hi ladies, I don?t think I?m going to be posting for a few days. Everything is ok with the little one but I have received some bad news about my cousin today.

We just found out this afternoon that he?s got leukaemia. He has been rushed another hospital which is quite some distance from where we live because they said he will receive better treatment there than at the local hospital. It?s come as a massive massive shock to all of us and he?s only 21 years old Sad On top of the leukaemia he?s also got pneumonia so he?s not in a good way at all.

Waiting for further news at the moment.

Good luck to everyone who has scans coming up x

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 17:23

Whatever haha! ;)

I have now reached all new levels of patheticness! I am lay down, on the couch. And dictating to everyone else jobs that need doing... when one is done, they come back for the next! Including bringing me drinks and food. 0:)

I just can't sit up. I feel nauseous. I'm staying here.

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 17:27

Oh wow Apple, how utterly devastating for your family.

I don't have words to say to express how sorry I am to hear such news. So young too, my own DP is just 21, and to think of someone going through such awful things at that age, its horrific.

He sounds like he is in the right place now, and will get good treatment. Its such a shame he has had to go so far. The state of the NHS now means patients having to travel for appropriate services, which is hardly ideal.

I hope whatever the news it, it is good news.

I wish you and your family well Apple. The nov ladies will be waiting for your return xxx

spudmama · 11/04/2012 17:53

Ladies i can't believe some of you are having sex not sure if jealous or not hubby wont come near me now not that i mind far to tired and nausea always worse at nightGrin.
Just got back from A&E with DS 5 thought he may have broken ankle thankfully not but still driving us crazy as he is a really active boy and is 'bored' all he wants to do is go back to holiday club, have had to take the day off work and wont be able to get a refund on the next 3 days of holiday club he wont be going too does that make me sound bad??

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/04/2012 17:56

Oh apple I'm so sorry for the bad news, he's the same age as me :( will be thinking of you (((hugs)))

Stuntnun · 11/04/2012 17:58

It's not bad Spud because you have invested the money but won't get anything for it, it's only natural that it irks you. Good news about his ankle anyway as 6 weeks on crutches isn't much fun.

WestWinger · 11/04/2012 18:15

apple - what dreadful news. Thinking of you and your family.

Evilwater · 11/04/2012 18:22

Pink and essex- I'm sorry for your loss.

Apple- he has youth in his side and that will count. I'm hoping that he will be able to have a transplant, and then carry on with his life. Wishing you all the best. It's a long road, and not an easy one.

To all the ladies that had scans, the pictures are amazing aren't they. Ive taken to showing everyone! Its a shame I can't see the baby more often, those pictures are magical, and it gives you a sence of security.

As for work, these nights are much better. Phoned hr and they said my qualifying block is what I get paid on may and June. I have my maternity day in may, I'm looking forward to that.

Wishing my 20week scan could come quicker.

I'm still feeling sick in the morning! Grr..... Roll on week 13

NervousAt20 · 11/04/2012 18:50

apple I'm so sorry, hope he gets the best care and treatment and gets on the mend soon :)

Any news from Victorious, sure she ha a scan today? Hope she's okay

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 18:53

apple as evil says, he is young so hopefully he will have a good chance - very scary I am sure.

I work for the NHS but am mon-fri 9-5 so no way of bumping up my money.

evil what is a maternity day?

TheDetective · 11/04/2012 18:56

Is it unreasonable to wonder why my body is playing tricks on me?! Its heated me up a good few notches over the last few weeks, to the point where I am now hotter than DP. This in itself is nothing short of a miracle, as he is unhumanly warm sweaty bastard. Grin Normally I can't bear him hugging me at night, as we are both, um, naked, and him sodding and moist (vom) and warm, its just URGHHH! But now, he is cold to me YES!

HOWEVER!!! My hands and feet are still the same freezing temperature they were before, and as a result I feel like wearing shorts and tshirt complete with gloves and bedsocks and slippers.

Stupid body!

Evilwater · 11/04/2012 18:58

Where you go to a presentation and they tell you about mat leave, and other things. The bit I really need to concentrate on is child care! And flexible working.

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 19:00

I have never been to one of them, and I have a 5yo and 2yo, both whilst working for the NHS. You are NHS no? (aimed at evil)

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 19:03

Childcare is a bitch! at one point I was paying £1200 pcm for my two. I plan to drop my hours if this one makes it - it just would not be worth my while to be full time, and I will take a full year mat leave Grin

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 19:05

Oh, and Shagging like a bunny here, in-between clearing up vomit and poo (kids, not mine) DH is a love machine Grin

Evilwater · 11/04/2012 19:05

Yes, I have to go it is mandatory! Ive been in the NHS for 9 years, of madness.

Ask your hr and look at the mat policy. I'm going to try and get a appointment with the union so to ask the right questions, and they might signpost other things I'm entitled too.

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 19:08

Cheers for that, I will ask. I am a bit of an expert on the Breastfeeding at Work Policy btw - was a pain in the arse to my boss at the time.
