Uggghh!!! We have around 6 weddings to go to throughout the summer 6!!!!!!! God these people are inconsiderate dont they realise I'm having a baby & cant be arsed with socialising!!! lol I feel your pain ladies with the outfit shopping,I'm hoping to manage to get away with one (!) outfit for the lot & just tell them all to get used to seeing it!! :) Shopping really isnt my thing these days I just cannot be bothered to keep taking my clothes off!!

Good luck MsInterpret on the speech,I had to give my best friend away last year & that was nerve racking enough without speaking so you have my total admiration :)

RnB · 15/04/2012 08:00

Bubblebell please get checked out by your doc or midwife re the dizziness and thirst - really don't want to concern you but could be gestational diabetes. Worth getting that ruled out...

emmie hope you recover very soon and get out of hospital, you poor thing!

misspolly oh no! What a shame the clothes are rubbish Sad. I had to order a few things in the next size up as they were out of stock in my size. Looks lime they will all be going back then...

I am getting a serious bump now! I can only wear my maternity jeans and maternity leggings - really need some clothes!

MissPollysTrolleyed · 15/04/2012 08:15

Dame and MsInterpret I would really recommend Isabella Oliver for a nice wrap dress. They are so flattering and can be worn from the first through to fourth trimester. They are expensive but you can usually pick one up second hand for about £35 on ebay. Alternatively, buy one new in the knowledge that you'll be able to re-sell on ebay in time. I have to dress pretty formally for work so got a couple second hand and wore them day in, day out right until I finished work.

RnB I may have chosen badly - I can be a bit rash when I sniff a bargain so hopefully your order will be more successful than mine.

Anyone due beginning of OCt around ANGEL/islington?

pinpan · 15/04/2012 09:10

Can I just let out a little whimper coz my DH has been sent to California for a week by his work? :( I know some of you survive much longer on your own, but I seem to have been hit by a bunch of hormones this evening, and I'm shamelessly looking for sympathy. Wink

That's a ridiculously good bargain cot, Thunder! I'm impressed (and a bit jealous).

Bought pizza on the way home from dropping DH at the airport, and now the bump is fighting with a food baby. Hmm I reckon food is important to keep the dizziness at bay though - I had to sit down in a department store this morning, fortunately just at the edge of the shop and not in the middle of a walkway, but I still got a few funny looks. The floor felt like it was moving though.

Feel a bit better for a good natter with my Mum on skype, and hearing about all the baby clothes she still has hoarded up from when my bro and I were little!

DameFlatYouLent · 15/04/2012 11:35

MissPolly will check out Ebay. Brand new Isabella Oliver is a bit beyond budget...thanks for the tip!

Emmiedarling · 15/04/2012 12:28

Steph- Im not in islington - I'm in Putney but I am due the beginning of October!

Still in hospital. Kidney infection is bloody painful!

Emmiedarling · 15/04/2012 12:32

Wow a cot for under £4!! Amazing!!!

MissRedIndie · 15/04/2012 12:36

I second the Isabella Oliver recommendation! I was given a wrap top as a present which is great quality and checked out their website as a result and bought a ruffle wrap dress which is just brilliant, fits perfectly at 13 weeks and clearly will stretch flatteringly as I get bigger. Really pleased with it. Loads of bargains to be had on eBay too, and I just noticed that there is a 10% discount code for Isabella Oliver on mumsnet's partners page here

DameFlatYouLent · 15/04/2012 15:09

MsInterpret have you checked out JoJoMamanBebe? There's a few nice dresses on their website under £40. I have one reasonably local to me so might go and check it out this week and report back.

MsInterpret · 15/04/2012 16:44

I live in Oxford which is RUBBISH for shopping generally but now has a JoJoMamanBebe shop, result! So I actually have a dress from there that I wore to a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I bought it for work officially and it's a bit ordinary but it might do. It's the red one with tiny flowery pattern and the tie across the middle - you can wear the tie crossed over and tied behind too which I thought was more flattering I found the M a bit too long in length (though I'm tall it was a bit calf length on me) but the S a better length and it fitted ok too. Jersey material so should stretch as we go on. Good luck Dame!

McPopcornMouseNFries · 15/04/2012 16:53

I ordered stuff from DP too - loved this dress but it's too big and they're now out of 12s, sob!

Another one with low BP here...

elvislives2012 · 15/04/2012 17:04

Hi all! waves any gardeners among us? It is ok to do it, isn't it? DH is concerned.....!

cakes82 · 15/04/2012 17:54

Elvis I think your supposed to wear gloves for gardening just in case you have any visiting cats.

Guccigirl79 · 15/04/2012 18:25

I agree with cakes defo wear gloves just in case!! But would definately say gardening is fine as long as you're not going to be doing anything stupidly strenuous!! I've been doing a bit here & there & all seems to fine :)

elvislives2012 · 15/04/2012 19:15

Thanks cakes and gucci are cats the main concern then? No probs with fertiliser etc? Always wear gloves cos u never know what u may find. Good thing about pg is DH happy to do the heavy digging if it means I dont! Hmm think I can make use of this....

LoopyLa · 15/04/2012 19:25

elvislives I'm a gardener!! The reason for the gloves is the toxoplasmosis thing that can be present in the bacteria in soil - hence the caution with washing fruit, veg, etc.

No heavy lifting/digging tho pls Grin Apart from the above, I've been gardening as normal Smile

I've also discovered JojoMaman, some of their dresses are lovely.

Good luck for tomorrow Pheebs, can't wait to see my own sprout on Tuesday!!

cakes82 · 15/04/2012 19:29

Never heard of any concern about fertiliser guess normal safety applies to that one. Cat issue is same reason you can't do cat litter trays.

elvislives2012 · 15/04/2012 19:50

Great thanks! Sounds like It's all systems go. I got my tatties in this weekend, bit late as I have been really lazy cautious about the gardening thing!
loopy we are scan buddies have my 3rd scan then too!

Pheebs24 · 15/04/2012 22:41

Thanks Loopy!!! I'm getting excited now... still that little niggling worry they might find two in there though Wink

Nothing much else going on (thankfully) though a friend has found out she's having a boy, but has dismissed the boy's name we've chosen as a possible which is big relief, but as my heart's set on what we've chosen I think there would just have to have been two of them!

Would that be awful? to name your child the same as a friend has, even though you came up with it independently?

Megan you wouldn't be the first to say they're still having symptoms into the 2nd trimester, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for only a couple more weeks of MS and naps!

Pheebs24 · 15/04/2012 22:43

elvis I had to read your post three times 'cos I was thinking something totally different by 'tatties' Blush I've got filth for brains at the moment... glad no one can see my dreams Shock

LoopyLa · 16/04/2012 07:17

Pheebs I know the dreams are meant to be 'vivid' but some of mine are X-rated!! Blush Shock

Emmie how are you doing? Have you recovered at all or is everything still pretty miserable? Sad

McPopcornMouseNFries · 16/04/2012 09:39

elivs do be careful with fertiliser too, it can cause burns if you get it on your skin and it gets wet ask me how I know :)

I think it depends how good friends you are, pheebs - if the kids would be good friends it might be weird for them, but if not I'd choose whatever I wanted :)
