Hellooooo ladies. I am shy because I have lurked around your threads on ttc for aaaages but would love to come and join you now I am updiffed, if that is ok?

I am only 4 weeks, I found out ridiculously early. Is lovely to have a thread without any praying and babydusting and sticky glueing and, OMG, actual talk about booze and eating shit food. And piles. And blackadder.

hurrah!

But, you know, feel free to tell me to bugger off ;0)

x J

Impatientwino · 14/03/2012 14:31

janey welcome! Congrats on your BFP! Exciting!

Talking of shit food I just had a burrito for lunch - it was mega - the guys in my office have been going on about this lunch place for ages and finally got me to go with them.

Am now struggling to move!

fish nope my dots are on the bigger size of normal - she said he is a nice strong healthy baby and laughed! oh oh! big head alert me thinks! :) Got my next appointment re clotting on 21st -had my bloods done but will find out whats going on at appt I think.

Only had restless legs once but got DH to lather me up with body butter and he massaged my calves for about 20 mins and they felt much better.

My only craving has been fruit too!

Though having read your post I really want some ice cream now!

Impatientwino · 14/03/2012 14:32

oops! spelt your name wrong on first post jaYney sorry ma dear!

funthatisfunny · 14/03/2012 14:41

Yo, thank you for your welcome impatientwino - it is I, Jayney :) jayney way too dull so changed it. I am delighted to be here Grin

Burrito! NOM. I bought some tacos and sour cream and mince and ting to make, er, tacos at the weekend. Hurray for the mexicans and their delightful cuisine.

hurrah for a big baby! My DS was only 6lbs and 17 days early. I would quite like a bigger one to squeeze out this time... ahem.

Re: restless legs - I get them even when I am not preggo. always have, even as a kiddy. I find walking around helps and stretching and I am sure I get it worse when I am hot, overtired and dehydrated. have you noticed a theme fish or is it just all the time?

I ought to work. I am blaming my complete inability to concentrate on the embryo I am still not utterly convinced could possibly be in there. chuh.

Fishandjam · 14/03/2012 15:21

funny, I've had restless legs before when not PG but it only lasted a couple of weeks or so. I'm hoping this dose packs in soon too! I'm going to try more bananas and tonic water, plus a good rubbing before bed (fnar fnar). The annoying thing is, I get to sleep OK but around 1am they wake me up again and I stay awake for around 3 hours! Pissing annoying.

BTW, my DS was 14 days early and 6 lb 13 oz. So not that big anyway (though he did indeed have long legs - great lollopy thing he was).

In the shit food stakes, wino, I'll see your burrito and raise you some cold pizza (chilli-stuffed olives, capers, jalapenos and pepperoni). Deeeelish, even though I'm sure the heartburn will make me regret it later.

Impatientwino · 15/03/2012 14:55

hey hey!

What a fabulous day! Am so happy today! Sickeningly so!!!

I come bearing green and blacks ice-cream (blame fish)

I have felt baby wino kick me/move today! First time properly! (and the second and third) Yay!

fish how are the legs today? any better?

funny feeling pregnant yet? seen your post about water birth - I want me one of those! Am trying not to get too set on it though in case I can't have one as I am discovering this pregnancy lark can be a bit unpredictable!

jars where are you hiding? show us yer haribo....

funthatisfunny · 17/03/2012 10:04

Wheeee impatient for your baby kicks! That sooooo lovely. How far along are you? And yaya for a waterbirth! Do it, do it. Sooooo relaxing, I actually could not have given birth any other way. I had a super fast labour so DH was filling it up for most of it while I groaned on the floor but after transition I waddled over and getting in to the lovely warm water was bliss. I am a water baby myself so I just see it as most natural.

Who knows though, indeed, you can but go with the flow! fnar.

I am off sweet stuff so I come bearing home made pizza!

Nooooo not really feeling pregnant yet. Though I know I should just be pleased. I have hurty boobs and got up twice to go to the loo last night and am off a lot of food and am tired - these are all symptoms, allbethey 'quiet' ones, so I am just chillin'. When I need the loo all day and am crying at the drop of a hat I shall feel more pregnant though ;0) Is all too preggo-lite for my liking so can't really get into it but I know I am menkulling and it is early days.

Am an ass.

I wish there were more of us on this thread, it is a great thread. I love my ante natal thread but is VERY busy and I get confuddled.

laters dudes!

Fishandjam · 20/03/2012 10:34

Morning ladies,

How are we all? I've brought some cheese scones in the shape of ducks and dolphins (had a bit of a domestic goddess fit with DS on Saturday. ALl out of my system now though!) I'm not doing too badly, though I seem to be permanently zzzzzzzzz. Could sleep for Britain (which is all the more annoying when I'm wide awake at 3am with twitchy legs!)

Saw my friend's 1 week old little girl on Sunday. Proper gorgeous.

Wino, welcome to the land of kicks. Have you got nice little fluttery ones or great big wallops?

funny, you feeling more pregnant yet?

OP posts:
Impatientwino · 20/03/2012 13:30

Hola chicas

yum!

I'll take a duck please! oh ok then 2 Now, is it ok to put cheese inside a cheese scone?

Had hospital appt with Haemotologists yesterday and blood is all normal and clotting levels usual etc etc so he is happy to tell me to bugger off which is good - got consultant on wednesday who I am hoping will agree so that's all good!

fish sorry your legs are still giving you grief. The kicks are little flutters/popcorn type ones - no wallops as of yet.

My bump seems to change dramactically in size throughout the day - c'est normal oui? I start off in the morning with just a bit of a tum and on the way home people can't offer me their seats quickly enough for fear my waters break all over their mulberry bags jealous

I know that it all depends on bloatedness etc etc throughout the day etc but there is a still a little bit of me that is convinced the baby has indeed vacated and moved elsewhere in the mornings then comes back for its afternoon snooze and overnight accommodation?!

funny I'm 21+4 and am sooooooo hoping for water birth! I know what my luck is like though so am bound to not end up with one!!

You mention that you don't think you have alot of symptoms? It actually sounds like you have a lot of symptoms so here which cheek would you rather I sapped you with?

jars you ok dear?

oh yeah and back to the shit food stakes - mother of the year jhere had chicken and chips for lunch yesterday AND a white magnum after dinner!*

oooooohh yeeahhhhh! it was great!

  • also ate a lot of fruit and loads of veggies with dinner in case the pregnancy police or my mother are reading
funthatisfunny · 20/03/2012 15:57

bloody hell, duck and dolphin cheese scones fish?! That is bizarre and very funny am secretly I am envious of such baking prowess. But, after all that, very tasty, thank 'ee. Bloody twitchy legs, you poor thing.

Yarse, am all preggo ta! Fish slap most welcome, I was rather expecting one tbh.

Yay for heamotology happiness wino

I had to go to EPAU last night with a suspected ectopic, but was sent home with a diagnosis of tummy ache and paracetomol :) I don't think my GP has been pregnant and got frightened when I said I was really crampy, but I meant dull achy crampy not ectopic crampy (not that i know). Also said I had nearly fainted and so she rang me after my appt to say she was worried. Also said in the appt I might lose my baby! wtf! just because I said i was crampy! I am fairly sure being crampy is a NORMAL sign of a NORMAL pregnancy but went along with it crying anyway. Got an early scan in two weeks when I shall be 7 weeks which is nice but I was very much 'Oh don't you worry about me dear' about it all while DH is kicking me under the table to shut up and listen.

So today I DO feel pregnant and very close to my precarious little Bud though symptoms are still calm, but instead of worrying I am in a zen-like place of love and wonder for my lovely pregnancy, as long as may last. So that is that.

21 weeeeeeks wino. Lovely, lovely time. And yes your bump will change shape and is very normal to seem more pregnant in the eventime! Mine does that now at 5 weeks! after dinner I look 4 months gone - DH has even noticed my 'bump'. (bloat. the shame). you might find your bubs hides sometimes too and your bump looks smaller/bigger depending on whether they have come out to play or gone to ground ;0) Pregnancy is amazing.

How far along are you fish?

Arf I had fish and chips twice yesterday. oven cooked for lunch (pregnant hunger has kicked in) and then take away for tea after being at the hospital - too knackered for anything else! I did have a smoothie and some fruit at some point. And some miniture heroes.

It's me beeday tomorrow! I am downing my laptop for the bracing northern seaside.

And on that note...

DonnaDoon · 20/03/2012 21:17

hi folks hi fun love reading your chit chat but yous make me feel ever so hungry and im now in bed watching big fat gypsy weddings and cant be arsed to go down for some munch...god forbid i interupt dh watching footy lol

DonnaDoon · 20/03/2012 21:18

Have a lovely birthday tommorrow fun....seaside...lush...been far too long for me since i was there

Fishandjam · 21/03/2012 09:25

And why are duck and dolphin cheese scones funny, funny?

Hehe.... TBH, I got out all the animal shaped cutters in the hope that it would persuade DS to actually eat the bloody things once they were baked!

wino, of course you can have cheese with a cheese scone. You can never have too much cheese. One of the best afternoon teas I ever had was in a tearoom in Cheddar Gorge - a "gentleman's cream tea" - cheese scone, apple chutney and cream cheese.

I'm glad everyone else's bump does the incredible growing/shrinking act. Though mine just seems to be growing now. In bursts. I'll have a day of unpleasant periody-type cramps (which freak me out completely) and then overnight I'll appear to have popped another few inches. I guess it's ligaments and things stretching, which is odd because I'd kind of assumed that post-DS, I was pre-stretched! (funny, I'm 26 weeks now!)

Been feeling a bit shit over the last couple of days, actually. Reeeeealllly tired and lacking in energy (as in: arms ache just as a result of blow-drying my (short) hair) and heartburny. I'm so paranoid after all the capers with DS's pregnancy, if I haven't perked up by tomorrow I'll hie me to the Day Assessment Unit.

Impatientwino · 22/03/2012 14:36

helloooo all

fun hope you had a nice birthday - sorry to hear about your pre birthday trip to the EPU, hope all is well and you enjoyed the seaside.

fish How are you feeling today? I saw the PE thread as well and you sound like you have a lot going on? Maybe as you say your body is just a bit done in at the moment? Hope all is alright lovie?

doon sorry about the vomming, hope it doesn't last long...

jewelsandbinoculars · 24/03/2012 10:01

S'up dudes?

Thought I might hang here for a bit. Am only 5 weeks today so still plenty of potential for up-fucking and whilst I won't believe a word of it until I see a real live blob on a screen, this place clearly needs livening up a bit and I reck I'm just the woman for the job.

Fishandjam · 26/03/2012 21:13

JEWELS!!! As I live and breathe!!! Welcome m'dear, great to see you!

By all means, liven me up. I still feel like shite. 13+2 weeks and counting (yus, I will officially be third trimester on Thursday. Bugger me but that's come round quick.) And only 9 or so weeks until I finish work, yay!

I have some Tesco walnut cake if anyone wants some.

On a lighter note, DS made me freeze to the steering wheel today. On a corner where we join the main road, there's a big pile of farmyard manure. We usually have a giggle where I say "what's that?" and DS says "poooooo!" Except today he said, clear as a bell, "pile of shit." Who taught him that I don't know, but when I find them they'll feel the flat of my hand and no mistake!

OP posts:
Impatientwino · 27/03/2012 09:18

Jewels YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

surely this calls for some champers

Hope you're not feeling too terrible today my lovely.

fish I can't believe you only have 13 weeks left! That means jars can't have long now at all!

My vote goes to DH for teaching your son that! It's always their fault....

I finish work in 12 weeks and counting.... am tempted to work out the actual working days but might leave it another couple of weeks before I do that :)

after my initial slow start my weight appears to be increasing rapidly now and has nothing to do with the tuna melt, chocolate cupcake and ice cream I ate yesterday

YellowWellies · 27/03/2012 15:54

Can I join in the sweary thread? Am 5-6-7 god knows what weeks (messed up cycle after early MC in Jan) and would literally kill for a marlboro light and probably a whole bottle of sauvignon blanc. Having a shit crampy day, bit of stained mucus - but after emergency scan last week for same symptoms - and knowing am prob' too early to see a heartbeat and that there's nowt to be done if this bellydweller does a disappearing act, so I'm just sitting on the couch thinking evil thoughts about DH who is working overseas this week. (how dare he?) Am so going to have his balls when he comes home for no real reason other than I'm pissed off. Lucky chap. I also have farts that seem to be making the cat's eyes water Grin. Good thing I'm not close to that leaking gas rig on the North Sea, would definitely be an explosion risk....

Welcome wellies and iss. We can do you a teeny glass of waine, or a big glass of lychee juice (my current favourite - I try not to think wistfully of how nice it would be mixed with rum).

For the first time in around 2 months I am not feeling totally shite! Yay! I'm sleeping better (the restless legs appear to have become rested) which probably helps. Famous last words: now watch it all recur again tonight...

wellies, PMSL at at your cat-eye-watering farts. Tis a good sign if you read some of the TMI pregnancy symptoms threads!

OP posts:
funthatisfunny · 28/03/2012 12:31

Good to see you yellow and iss! Sometimes I swear on our thread but it makes me feel crass and clumsy whereas here tis most normal, hurrah.

nothing personal about your scones fish, I am common and so think they are posh and in shapes, like posh sandwiches, that is most posh of posh.

I have shoulder ache from hunching over my computer in the dark (sun shut out so I can work - how grumpy is that?!) but Must Work More. PhD in in 6 weeks. can't fucking WAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT.

yay impatient for finishing work in 12 weeks and for you having your baby practically then fish. Craziness.

hehe, I start maternity leave in 2 months. No bugger will employ me when I'm 4 months up the stick and I deserve a holiday after this course :0) SAH mumdom it is pour moi!

I'm really not into booze with this pregnancy. even though I would happily let myself drink a glass of wine here and there, nope. Instead I drink a lot of squash and decaff coffee alllll daaaaaay looooong. this baby doesn't like anything, not even chocolate. Harrumph.

Am boring and in a reet grump! laters dudettes.

friedfrog · 30/03/2012 19:48

If I come in, do I have to share my cake with you.....it's just it's really good cake and it's all I have left to cling to without smoking and Chablis?

I want to punch people today that say:
A) lets go and sit in a beer garden...u can drink lemonade....grrr
B) my god you're huge...sure there's not 2 in there......no there is not , now piss off!

And that ladies, is why I need my cake....all of it?!

Frog ;)
