horseylady · 15/03/2012 08:43

Not long but they never give a time. Could be today could be next week. Still sick :( hate it :(

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 08:45

Sad we are all here virtual hand holding with you x

DesperateHousewife21 · 15/03/2012 08:55

Good luck horseylady how are you feeling today?

I bought 4 tests from ebay and they were fine, all came up with bfp.

Is anyone else having bowel troubles? Every morning now when I need to go its that feeling you get when you have a bad tummy. It makes me feel sick Confused Im not ill though and as soon as Im done its fine again, sorry not the nicest thing to discuss in the morning, feel free to ignore if youre suffering MS!

DesperateHousewife21 · 15/03/2012 08:55

5 tests*

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 09:16

yes I have had runny poo every day since I found out ooh apart from so far today, normally been by now. Shan't be sorry to see the back of that! Don't worry DH I think by the end of next month all shreds of dignity will be gone between us ;)

DesperateHousewife21 · 15/03/2012 09:38

haha yes very true! I didnt want to make anyone feel more sick!

In a strange way Im glad its not just me with the dodgy tummy!

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 09:55

I think it's surprisingly common :)

applepieinthesky · 15/03/2012 10:22

I have had an awful tummy as well.

One thing I don?t understand is I thought they dated you from the first day of your last period.

This would make me 5 weeks as last period started 8th of Feb and my cycle is 34 days but all the calculators I do say I am 4 weeks.

Does anyone know why?

YellowWellies · 15/03/2012 10:40

Can I just say FruitSaladIsNotPudding is about THE coolest internet moniker I've seen ever. Just snorted my decaf tea. Went to the docs yesterday, a little shocked at no test - bit anticlimatic (especially as I've only done one test, am really tempted to get more just to look at the result hahah), and because this is a small island and everyone knows everyone, the doc gave me my Bounty pack wrapped in a bin bag so no one would see what I was smuggling out in my handbag hahahaha. Doc (who had her babies in France) also told me to go home and have a glass of wine and relax - hmmm tempting but not just yet thanks! DH is very excited and thinking of names already....

Magicrabbit · 15/03/2012 10:42

apple I think they're all based on cycle averages, but once you see the gp they'll date you and of course again at your 12 week scan. With my ds they moved my due date forward a week after my scan, as they base it on the size of the baby at that point then rather than your last cycle date.

horseylady · 15/03/2012 10:45

Dh and Omg yes exactly how I am!!!! Runny belly sickness and dizziness. Just eaten an orange was lovely but in 5 mins the sickness will return ;/ it's bloody horrid!! Thankfully everyone at work assumes it's just my mil as to why I am this way!! The sickness is meant to get worse???!!! Help!!!! Do the travel sickness bands work? I do get really bad travel sickness but just take herbal pills?!

funthatisfunny · 15/03/2012 10:49

hey all newbies, congratulations and welcome!

I am feeling lovely and preggo today, am most reassured. Had insanely vivid and scary dreams last night so all good there and have a wee bumpy (only bloat but still, there :)) and stretching pains this morning, rather than the AF type cramps. And I couldn't eat breakfast at brekky time because I have noticed all breakfast is sweet and I am off sweet stuff! And I felt nauseous. Ug to cereal and fruit and toast and jam! So just now I scoffed a ham sarnie, a handful of kettle chips and some veggie scotch eggs! My lunch basically. I must be pregnant!

the weather here is just so gorgeous. I am gutted someone else has got my boy to take to the park and have a picnic :( i wanna! Hopefully it will be nice tomorrow on my day off.

Hmmm... I don't like the cheapie test strips - my line is much lighter and slower to come up on them so I feel paranoid that my pregnancy is going away. think I will get some asda cheapies tomorrow to test on sat and mon - though if a MMC shows up as positive anyway what is the point?! Might just try and chill and relax into being preggo until someone tells me otherwise (hopefully not!)at the scan... POAS really is quite addictive.

Sorry some of you are feeling so rotten. That sucks. My SIL had HE and lost lots of weight and was hospitalised, was awful to watch so I really feel for you. Don't worry about the calories to look after bubs tho OMG the baby will take what it needs from you. you might want them for yourself tho Wink

Am off now to ramble elsewhere!

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 10:49

Apple if you have a longer cycle than normal they tend to go off likely ovulation dates. Well until you have a dating scan anyway :)

I'd say the bands are worth a go HL :)

YW I want Wine

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 10:50

x post - I have plenty spare fat for the baby to live off for probably the whole nine months even if I never ate!!

YellowWellies · 15/03/2012 10:52

horseylady so sorry to hear about your MIL - such contrasting emotions must be so hard for you and DH to deal with at the same time. :( We're all here for you x

On a lighter note, I too have a dodgy belly and Blush farts that can stun at ten paces.... the cat normally sleeps on our bed but he wandered off disdainfully last night. So far no sickness and only occasional nausea. Bought so much junk food in the Co-Op yesterday am so glad I'm not showing as I would be mortally embarrassed.....

The doc dated me yesterday and reckoned I was nearly 8 weeks - which didn't sound right to me at all. Last period started 31st January, by my reckonings that makes me 45 days or 6 and a bit weeks?

Anyway am just rambling, hope everyone has a lovely day!

funthatisfunny · 15/03/2012 10:58

I missed a whole load of posts about pants over tights and runny poo! :)

I am suffering the latter and have never heard of doing the former! I never wear tights though, just jeans day-in, day-out. I never had tummy problems with DS so is most strange and I am surprised so many of us have it! Glad to be in good company though... Wink

horsey lady hope you are ok, sounds super stressful and sad.

OMGBFP · 15/03/2012 11:13

YW I think your GP has had to much of that there Wine!!! Yes you are a few days ahead of me, I am 6 weeks tomorrow by LMP which was on 3rd Feb.

FTIF hard to know at this time of year if it's a bug or preg thing but with me am only going once a day and it doesn't smell offensive like I think a bug would, so blaming it on pregnancy :)

horseylady · 15/03/2012 11:21

Mines defo pregnancy!! I don't get bad bellies and my diet is literally soup, toast or jacket potatoes lol dh just text to see how I was and were going food shopping tonight as we literally have nothing in the house now. And he says 'proper food' might make me feel better. I think my bed would!! Blood pressure ultra low which is hopefully why im so dizzy and I dont think that's helping the sickness! Thanks for all the kind words, it is a rollercoster but life is. I've got so much to be grateful for really xx

TitsalinaBumSquash · 15/03/2012 12:56

No dicky tummy here, just peeing for England (still don't get that)

I have some twingey pains today, up each side of my lower abdomen, almost like internal itches if that makes sense?
My Dad is coming over tonight, I can't bare to tell him yet so I am hunting out some baggy clothes to cover my protruding tummy, he probably wouldn't notice but still, paranoia!

Still so tired, it's been early nights and early morning for me at the moment, I might have a nap before I have to go collect the kids.

WaitingForMe · 15/03/2012 13:14

I'm glad YellowWellies doctor told her to have a glass of wine.

I had an interview today for an article I'm writing on Italian food and the interviewee offered me an aperitif and some parmesan drizzled with balsamic vinegar. I had both, duly wrote lots of notes and as I headed out the door remembered I'm pregnant Shock

It was small and 3% alcohol but I feel horribly irresponsible Sad

FreddieMercurysBolero · 15/03/2012 13:30

So I am the only one who wears knickers ovr tights to hold them up. Oh well.

Puked this morning. Ugh. And then cried as I walked DS and DH to the train station. They are going to visit PILs for the weekend and I can't go because I have work and college. It is not fair!

OMG, Horsey and Fun, to add to my woe, I am also pooing, quite a lot. It was the same with DS, IIRC.

Cacacaz · 15/03/2012 13:30

Wow what a busy thread we have now Grin! Welcome and congratulations to everyone.

I must set aside some time to catch up with what has been happening, I keep falling asleep and never seem to have enough hours in the day to fit in everything as the exhaustion takes over Blush i have never spent so much time asleep!

Sorry some of you are having a hard time Sad

For some reason I never added my stats could someone please add them for me
Cacacaz (29) dc %231 edd 4th Nov

I had my booking in appointment with the midwife today, who was lovely and has organised a reassurance scan for me on the 26th of March, as I had a mc in October last year.
I have been feeling very nauseous, but no actual sickness yet, I was asking about bands and she said she swears by them, however people usually don't wear them correctly, apparently the little bulgy part should be over your pulse point on your wrist rather than on the middle. She also had some interesting suggestions for ms including orange juice mixed with Irn bru!

applepieinthesky · 15/03/2012 13:48

Should I be making an appointment to see a doctor already? Isn't 5 weeks a bit early? And do I book with a doctor or midwife?

applepieinthesky · 15/03/2012 13:48

sorry for the daft questions. This is my first and I haven't got a clue!

WaitingForMe · 15/03/2012 13:56

applepieinthesky I dropped into my GPs the day after BFP and asked what I needed to do. The receptionist registered me and booked me in to see the midwife in a few weeks time. I think every primary care trust is a bit different so unless you specifically want to see a doctor or midwife asap just phone and ask.
