Thank you everyone Smile. I'm now having very mild period-ish feelings and very light bleeding. Expecting the worst but still hoping for the best. Will post again as soon as I have news if not before. Your support is a big help.

cece · 05/03/2006 22:30

thinking of you riley

Justers · 05/03/2006 23:30

Hi there, I am expecting my first on 14th Oct, so pleased to find this site. I do hope that everything is ok Riley, take care x

Gemmitygem · 06/03/2006 05:24

Riley, thinking of you, and hope you can see the doc/MW soon. Fingers crossed it's just a scare. We're here for you if you need us!

Welcome Justers. I'm due a day earlier than you, also my first..

Found out that what they saw at the scan was a single fibroid at the top of the womb. Has anyone else had this? According to the internet they're quite common.

Salsamamma, I definitely want to find out the sex, though DH doesn't.. I'm just too nosy and impatient not to if we can.

Hope everyone's fine and not suffering too much from Monday morning syndrome!

3kids · 06/03/2006 06:19

Thinking of you Riley.

I'm going to find out the sex i did with dd.

Sickness has now gone (thank god) it's just the tiredness.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Hi There

Riley thinking of you hun x

Gem, I had a fibroid and they said nothing to worry about, my sister had one too and she has 3 kids. A friend of mine had one too she said her was huge and much bigger than baby but over time it sorted itself out and has a very healthy child. You are right it is very common. They will monitor you as normal but I really don't think it would be a problem.

salsamama · 06/03/2006 09:39

Hi ladies, welcome Justers. Riley, I bled the first two weeks and constantly expecting to again. Keeping all my fingers crossed for you.

On the finding out the sex issue, literally all of my friends dropping sprogs are opting for the surprise over finding out before hand. I didn't want to know the sex with DS but also couldn't have even if wanted to as hospital policy was not to tell. This time though I really want to know for practical reasons like choosing a name etc, but hospital won't allow it. Anyone else have this problem? Is it possible to get round it without going private?

nowanearlyNicemum · 06/03/2006 11:49

it's amazing that they won't let you know the sex. where are you salsamama?

congratulations Justers - hoping that you have a healthy and carefree pregnancy!

have discovered that my sickness is considerably alleviated by Gingernuts - not really sure whether this is good news or not :o

marthahm · 06/03/2006 12:38

good morning to all of you, hello justers, i'm also due the day before you with my first. i know it's mid day but i still feel half asleep. some hospitals won't let you know the sex because they are worried about people aborting girls, grim but true, i've heard some hospitals in east london are strict about not telling because of this.
i've been given anti sea sickness wrist bands which possibly help a bit with nausea. the smell of the ginger nuts was enough to make me move towards the bathroom!
good luck riley.

whiffy · 06/03/2006 13:15

Riley3 - keeping fingers crossed for you - hope it all turns out OK. Your dizzyness by the way almost certainly low blood pressure which normally rights itself by end of 1st trim.

Welcome marthahm & justers to the nutters group - congrats on the pg's to you both. Marthahm - what a start to married life! Same has happened to two of my friends....at least you did it the right way round - DS was guest of honourat our nuptials Wink

I'm also on the ginger stuff and is working a treat, though not sure all the ginger punch is helping my waistline. My god though, tastes good.

I never wanted to know the sex with DS but this time round definately want to know so I can start planning 'stuff'.

evenhope · 06/03/2006 13:39

Went back to hospital today and it's definitely gone :( It wasn't a surprise because I've been bleeding steadily since last Wednesday week. They are taking me in Thursday (earliest they can fit me in Shock ) for another ERPC.

Riley sorry to hear. Hope your news is better than mine.

FirstNikki · 06/03/2006 13:54

so sorry to hear that evenhope thinking of you. x If you need a chat, can be found on the ttc after mc thread under conception x

sparkly1 · 06/03/2006 15:08

Evenhope, so sorry to hear your news. Please make sure you give yourself time to get over this. Thinking of you and your family.

I am feeling so rough today. Blah. Morning sickness? I wish. All day sickness more like. It's so tiring.

nowanearlyNicemum · 06/03/2006 15:29

I'm so sorry evenhope. Take good care of yourself. x

marthahm · 06/03/2006 16:39

i'm sorry evenhope. it must be upsetting to have to wait til thursday too.

sparkly1 · 06/03/2006 20:50

I know I am whinging but how sick is normal? I'm sick morning noon and night. I'm starting to wonder how much I actually manage to keep down. My stomach hurts from being sick. Do I need to worry or is this normal? With dd I was nauseated lots but never this sick. And if I'm only 8 weeks pregnant, I've got a lot of this left to (not) look forward to. Help!

riley3 · 06/03/2006 22:16

Evenhope - so sorry to hear your news. I didn't really know what this felt like before, but I am beginning to now. Sad I phoned the mw 1st thing this morning and she was lovely (as they all seem to be here). I am booked in for a scan on Thursday morning, which gives this a little time to resolve itself one way or another. Not much bleeding today but the cramping is getting a little worse. Did a pg test and got a pronounced BFP which cheered me up a little until the cramping started again.... I'm just going to have to wait it out until Thursday but I'll post again before then. This thread is keeping me sane!

Bronze · 07/03/2006 08:52

Evenhope sorry to hear your news. I've not really been posting as not got any new but I had been reading and hoping for you.

Missmibaby · 07/03/2006 09:10

Riley and evenhope so sorry to hear your news. It's a horrible thing to have to go through. As others have said take it easy and look after yourself.

I went for a scan on Friday. The dr was surprised I had been booked in so early - nothing t see except a pg sac. I'm going again on Thursday when hopefully I will see a heartbeat. After my 2 mc am trying really hard not to get my hopes up too much - taking each day as it comes.

Good to read so many good stories about positive scans on here though.

marthahm · 07/03/2006 10:04

sparkly, you need to keep an eye on the sickness. the problem can be that you get very dehydrated and if that happens they need to take you in and put you on a drip for a while. -i've heard this from other mothers but i don't know how you measure how serious it is. i think you should ring your gp. i can't imagine how vile it must be to be being sick all the time, i'm finding the nausea bad enough.

Annelouise · 07/03/2006 11:14

Hi

I'm also due on the 3rd Oct with my 2nd. Finding it all abit hard to take in at the mo!

Gemmitygem · 07/03/2006 11:51

Welcome and congrats AnneLouise,
Sorry to hear your news, evenhope. Thinking of you.

Thanks for advice Nikki!
No news from my side. Now it's the long haul till week 12! (3 and a half weeks to go!).

If you haven't seen this site, it's amazing, shows the development at so many days past conception

www.embryology.ch/carnegie/carnegieen.html

Annelouise · 07/03/2006 13:32

will go and have a look at that website. I always feel this stage is a lonely one as I don't really want to tell any one and I don't go to the MW for the 1st time till the end of next week.

twinkle183 · 07/03/2006 15:33

Hi all nothing much to report except I keep having really violent mood swings... having trouble controlling my short fuse! I am like this Angry all the time at the mo' I've tried everything to get rid of it like eating chocolate, having a nap when my son is having his... if anyone could help that would be great!

nowanearlyNicemum · 07/03/2006 17:11

hi twinkle, it probably won't make you feel any better but I don't think I'm much fun to be around at the moment either....moody, snapping at dd for next to nothing and when I'm not doing either of those things I'm either throwing up or going to bed early. I do feel dp has a lot to put up with these days. Will try to remember to polish his halo when he gets in :)
