Hello to all the new people! And a specially big hug and a Brew for Winnie. (Where would the British be if they couldn't make a cup of tea in times of need and support?)

Sorry I mentioned shreddies, Dame. I can't imagine how percy pigs could possibly work better, but bizarrely I'm pretty sure I can get them here in NZ so I might give them a go. Grin Mostly I just want chocolate orange now...

Into week 8, and being a vommy mommy pretty much every day (only once a day so far, thank goodness). I do feel slightly better in between times though!

RnB · 15/02/2012 21:10

Winnie Sad How tough for you and your family. I completely understand your decision. I have a son with SN (although not fatal) and if tests reveal that this baby had any form of SN I don't think I could go through with the pg either. Unfortunately my sons condition is not testable yet, so is a bit of a lottery as far as that is concerned.

A big very unmumsnetty ((((hug))))

mohara · 15/02/2012 23:01

I am feeling ok-quite tired so lots of early nights, and nausea but no sickness thankfully! I look about 4 months gone already though, I am presuming it's just bloating but it's getting difficult to hide!
Anyone else bloated and just 'bleurgh' feeling?!

isheisnthe · 16/02/2012 07:27

I have a scan at 12 today at the Epu, to see if the beanie is still sticking after my bleeding. Wish me luck!

babybrain3 · 16/02/2012 07:30

Good luck ishe will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

MakeTeaNotWar · 16/02/2012 07:32

Good morning everyone and hi to all new peeps! [waves]

Gizzy - I love that you're feeling the love for your OH. I think its a wonderful sympton.

I've been wanting lots of cuddles with my DP too. But mostly I'm tired and queasy so cuddles is all he can settle for at the moment! WinkBlush

Good luck with your scan today isheisnthe

GizzyBoo · 16/02/2012 08:59

Oh pezzina a huggle is all hubby is getting too Grin
He put me to bed at 9 last night....and tucked me in and kissed me on the forehead like I was a child! It was nice Blush

It really must be the hormones Grin I dare say I shall be back to him driving me bonkers in no time at all Grin

Psammead · 16/02/2012 09:11

Morning all!

Gizzy, that's so sweet.

Welcome to all the new comers

Good luck ishe

Feeling sick today. Not been sick yet, but it's getting worse. Hate it. DD is so wonderful, but it's hard having a 2yo when you feel so shite.

Has anyone got a nickname for the baby yet? DD was Pip. Miscarried baby was Pop, but we're steering clear of similar names now, so this one is JoJo. Grin

DameFlatYouLent · 16/02/2012 11:27

good luck ishe! Sticky vibes heading your way

We had a nn for DS which resulted from the way he was boinging about madly during the 12w scan. not sure about one for this one...I suggested one but DH looked at me like this Hmm It wasn't that bad, I don't think....although actually can't remember it now [goldfish emoticon]

I feel so crap too, and am struggling to keep up with DS. Just sicky and tired. Struggling to find foods I want to eat. Ate pancakes all day yesterday, not sure what today will bring. I really fancy a crumpet but don't have any in the house!

damnitdamnit · 16/02/2012 13:29

Can I join too pleaseGrin. I am doing this on iPad and can't work out how to copy and paste the list so I can add myself Confused. But next time someone does can you add me too please.

Damnitdamnit dc3 Edd 22nd October

Thanks

isheisnthe · 16/02/2012 13:50

Had my scan - According to me I am (at least) 6+3. I had to have an internal scan, it showed: A gestational sac (and then there are some measurements on the print out), Yolk Sac: Present. Embryo: Absent.

Summary of ultrascan findings: Inconclusive

So - they can not find an embryo Although I am pregnant?

Made some noises about it maybe being too early and they want to rescan me on the 29th.....that feels like forever away - I just want to know - am I pregnant or not?!?!

Psammead · 16/02/2012 13:59

How frustrating, ishe. Sad

You must feel very worried. Sorry you're going through this.

GizzyBoo · 16/02/2012 14:21

Oh ishe that must feel like such a long wait for you Sad

I hope everything works out ok for you {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Thanks

isheisnthe · 16/02/2012 14:29

Thanks guys - the scan also revealed some cysts on my ovary so now I am worried about them as well.

Trouble is, my standard default position when I am upset or worried is a glass of wine - not something I can do right now.

Is it normal not to be able to see an embryo at this stage - I didnt think it was - dont sugar coat it if its not - Id rather know

Pezzina · 16/02/2012 15:35

Sorry to hear the scan was inconclusive ishe

I think it can be quite common not to see the embryo at 6 weeks. I think the fact that they want you to go back to make sure lends me to believe that its not unusual. If they had definitely expected to see an embryo I believe they would have told you.

From what I gather you should definitely see the embryo by 7 weeks.

I know you will worry until the 29th. If you can't wait that long my only suggestion would be to have a scan next week privately.

Sending hugs xx

DameFlatYouLent · 16/02/2012 16:35

ishe I have no idea, so sorry I can't help, but just hoping it's all ok.

cakes82 · 16/02/2012 17:00

Hi ishe I had a scan at 6wks by my dates and like you everything present to suggest I was pg apart from embryo/heartbeat. The scan suggested I was 5+4. I'm going back 11days after initial scan, I think the principal is that by the return a heartbeat should be present so all is much clearer. They also told me that there was a cyst present but I don't know if this is left from bean or linked to the nearly diagnosis of PCOS I might have had had I not finally managed to get pg. Bizarrely my GP sent me for scan because of what I considered to be implantation bleeding pre +hpt. A lot of the people on the threads I look at have told me not to worry, that time will go quickly and i'll soon be having the scan that hopefully says all is well. I know they are right but it doesn't make it any easy and the hormones and yuck feeling only go to confuse things rather. Keep strong,,

babybrain3 · 16/02/2012 18:04

Maybe the embyro was behind the yolk sac explaining why they couldn't see it...

MoreDeadlier · 16/02/2012 21:28

Hi all,
Hope you're all well :)
