Well done on your scan results bubble and nas!!! What clever beans we have on this thread!!! Grin

Winnie81 · 13/02/2012 16:57

Well done bubble and nas that's great news about your pips!!

I've been feeling really sicky although not actually been sick but havent felt right since tummy bug. I'm thinking it's being preggers but not sure. I never had any sickness for ds1 or anything it was a smooth pregnancy I didn't get any cravings either!

I'm 5'4 by the way!

Ok so a quick poll for everyone: what (if any) cravings have you had in the past with previous dcs. If this is your first is anyone getting any yet??

So pleased for you nasara and BB** GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Sorry to hear your sister has been saying such thoughtless things BB Sad That is really crap and must hurt.

Cravings- I don't think I had any with dc1 & 2. last time I craved marinated artichokes (WTAF) and raw carrots. This time I want to eat as much unhealthy stuff as possible Blush

KPT083 · 13/02/2012 17:12

Hey Winnie

I could eat chicken chow mein with seaweed for breakfast lunch and dinnerGrin in fact my mouth is watering at the mere thought..

MissPenteuth · 13/02/2012 17:15

Really pleased to hear both scans went well, you must be so relieved.

I didn't have any cravings when pg with DD, although I did prefer stronger-tasting food in general as my taste buds seemed to dull a bit. In fact that's one of the things that convinced me I was pg this time; I had a curry and it just tasted a bit bland.

I'm also feeling quite sick, on and off all day but it's worse in the morning before I've eaten. Same as RnB mentioned, I know that eating will make me feel better but it's the last thing I feel like doing!

CottonSock · 13/02/2012 17:30

Great news on the two scans :)
I went to GP this morning, he said I could potentially have an early scan b/c previous MS. I will have to decide if I want it or not???? If there is no bleeding maybe it's a bit much to ask for. It might depend on if I have strong pregnancy symptoms or not - they might be enough to reassure me. Got a couple of weeks to think about it anyway.

I have IBS so can recommend for bloated stomachs a bit of the following that works for me: No fizzy drinks, small meals, limited nuts / pulses etc, limited dairy (but watch getting enough calcium), drink peppermint tea, ginger tea, few refined sugars, limit spicey food.. It's not much fun really reading all that. I find the hardest bit not drinking vino, at least that's out of the Q now! Funny thing is, my IBS seems improved.

Tomorrow I am both 5+1 and 5'1" hahahah
I had a night time craving for Whiskey! I hate it... WTH
I could not taste anything this weekend, but ok today so must have been my virus.

GizzyBoo · 13/02/2012 18:04

Yay for Bubble and Nas you must both be so relieved.
Tis just a shame your sis is behaving like such a spoiled brat Bubble. Ignore her and enjoy your wee button.

CottonSock my IBS is fantastic right now. Its just a shame the constant nausea has taken over. Currently at boak factor 8......need to eat but just cant face it Sad

Midwife rang this afternoon.....she wants to come round for a cuppa tomorrow and do my booking forms Grin I am rather excited Blush

I was so lazy on Saturday and so busy yesterday I was looking forward to having a day to myself today.....then got a call for supply work at 8:15....was up, face on and hair done and out the door by 8:40 Shock
That was the most effective cure for ms I have yet found Grin

I really missed the Wine with my Sunday lunch yesterday!

Chunkychicken · 13/02/2012 18:21

Think I'm checking out a bit early... :(

Did feel a bit like I was tempting fate signing up so early, when I hadn't even actually properly missed AF, but wanted to be optimistic - a BFP is a BFP afterall. But I had a faint line when I POAS on Sat & this morning, thought it was even more faint. About an hour ago I got spotting/pink CM/mucus & now I'm starting to get crampy, tight feelings around my tummy.

So I guess I'm getting off this ride. :( :( :(

Good news for nasara & bubble, glad its all working out for you.

Wishing you all the best of luck for your pregnancies & your new babies xx

MsInterpret · 13/02/2012 18:30

Chunkychicken, so sorry to hear that. Is there any chance it could be implantation bleeding? Fingers crossed for you and lots of un-MN like hugs.

Good to hear other positive scan news.

I didn't have any cravings last time except general HUNGER for anything and everything (especially junk food too Rnb). Am promising myself am not going to put on as much weight this time. With the nausea I just want bland food all the way - toast and butter, baked potatoes etc. V different from you Miss Penteuth!

Kelbells · 13/02/2012 18:58

Nasara and Bubble So glad to hear today was a big thumbs up for both of you... Now you can really start to enjoy the pregnancy!

Chunky I'm so sorry to hear that you've started spotting - Have you thought about calling your local early pregnancy unit, if you could get an HCG done it at least would put your mind at rest that things are fine or prepare you for the worst should it be happening? Mine were really good and saw me the same day.... I've been through it too and come through both the positive and negative side.... Massive hugs to you tonight Sad

So, only 4+3 here (and 5'1") for me and I'm already shattered by 2pm!! I drive all over the westcountry for a living and on a 2 hour journey from Cornwall today nearly fell asleep at the wheel! And I look massive! I like to call them my 'progestogen paunch' and my 'progestogen puppies' God help me, I'm already a 32FF... This baby may create a Jordanesque monster!! I think it'll be dinner then ZZZZzzzzz tonight!!

Chunkychicken · 13/02/2012 19:14

Thanks Kelbells fairly sure its not good - it kind of resembles the beginning of AF, although v v light. I think I was expecting it with the fainter line on the test this morning TBH. I will just see how it goes - its too early for anything to be done/scans etc so I will wait & see.

Thanks everyone else for the support x

MissPollysTrolleyed · 13/02/2012 19:38

Great news Nasara and Bubble*. I'm so pleased that everything's okay for you.

Chunkychicken don't disembark yet! Lots of us have had implantation bleeding here so hopefully that's what you have. Will you test again tomorrow?

Cravings here as I previously mentioned are sugar and fizzy drinks. Happily, I also have a healthy craving: oranges so it's not al bad.

"Morning" sickness has hit me like a ton of bricks today. I was briefly delighted to finally have symptoms but the novelty has worn off already.

Chunkychicken · 13/02/2012 20:06

Thanks MissPolly & MsInterpret I hope you're right - I haven't got any more tests but if I don't get a clear 'outcome' soon I may test nxt week (have a party to go to, so either celebrating with a virgin cosmopolitan or a more slutty one... Wink) but I think I'd think the worst & get a pleasant surprise iykwim.

Enjoy your oranges/baked potatoes :o

HettyTurner · 13/02/2012 20:48

chunkychicken all's not over until the witch truely arrives, try not to worry too much. I have got terrible cramps today just like AF and it's just the little bean getting bedded in.

So pleased to hear you saw the little heart beat today nasara and bubble. You must both be so relieved Grin

The doctor was lovely today, he's been really helpful with treating my PCOS rather than referring me to a constultant and he seemed genuinely pleased for me. According to LMP i am 10 weeks, which is rubbish I'm more like 4-5 weeks, but I wonder if I will get a scan and booking appointment PDQ???

Just going to relax with a peppermint Brew and half a packet of haribo and maybe some crisps (yes junk food cravings going on chez Turner).

CottonSock · 13/02/2012 20:50

Chicken - I got spotting before my AF was due, thought it was AF coming early, but did turn out to be implantation bleed. Hope it's the same for you..

WeeSooty · 13/02/2012 22:12

Evening all

bubblebell and nasara That?s great news bout both your scans, you must be so relieved!!
bubblebell Your sisters reaction is awful, even if she is jealous she should just keep it to herself! Try not to dwell on her reaction.

Thnak you to Nasara and cottonsock for the bloating tips. I?ve just being rolling around on my back like a stuck turtle? It would be funny if it wasn?t so sore! I am sitting trying to stop feeling sorry for myself with a mug of hot water Hmm rock and roll! As for cravings, none so far to report, I can?t think of food it makes me feel ill, normally if I was under the weather I?d sit quietly watching cookery programmes, Nigella, Heston or Rick Stein (so relaxing) but even they are making me feel ill!!!

MissPolly Your post makes me long for nutella, mmmmm :) I too was delighted to have symptoms, but the novelty has def worn off!

Pezzina I?m also thinking I will have to tell my work sooner rather than later, I don?t want to but by the end of the day I look about 6 months gone and if one person dares to comment I will most likely burst into tears! That?s great your DH looked after your DD :) The tiredness is just shocking!!

chunky keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Kelbels You?ll need to be extra careful when driving, are you able to take more breaks to rest up?

gizzy How lovely and homely that your midwife is popping in for a cuppa!! That?s so exciting!

In good news.. I got another appointment through from the hospital, seems to be just for screening tests on the 29th Feb and then I go for my booking appointment with scan on the 15th March, its so good to have things to look forward to!

How is everyone coping at work? I really don?t want to give a way my secret but sense the burping, rushing to the toilet and general looking a bit rotten might give it away!

Chunkychicken · 13/02/2012 22:27

Thanks cottonsock (& everyone for that matter) but really do think its all over bar the shouting - more flow & a clot (if that's not TMI). I'll POAS on Fri/Sat to be sure as I want to know if can have a glass of Wine or 10 but I think that's my lot for this one.

Good luck all of you x

GizzyBoo · 14/02/2012 04:15

Awwwwww Chicken....fingers crossed hun. It may just be a bit of spotting which settles. Try not to worry.

Weesooty this is what I love about our wee island living. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I may bake some muffins to go with our tea Grin

I have no idea why I am awake and drinking tea at 4am! I feel grotty and tired but my brain is going about a zillion miles an hour and worrying about every little thing it can think of. Have been awake for ages and finally given up and got up. I shall be knackered later!

Weesooty, I decided to tell my two immediate managers at work 2 weeks ago, after I'd seen the GP. One had pretty much guessed already (who, me, bursting into unprompted tears in the workplace?) and told the other one, who hadn't had a clue. Both good friends as well though, so it wasn't too alarming, and they're keeping it quiet for now. I'm lucky that I can work from home a reasonable amount as well (I'm all computer based) so I can sleep in a bit and then stay within reach of my own bathroom when I'm feeling grim. Hoping that it'll wear off soon though otherwise they'll have forgotten what I look like at the office!

KPT083 · 14/02/2012 09:37

Good Morning all you Ladies with Oct 12 (or very late Sept) pips Wink - Hope everyone's doing ok?

Not too many more symptoms to report, although I've had a really achy lower back keeping me awake :-( Nothing that a hot water bottle doesn't ease tho.

GizzyBoo · 14/02/2012 11:20

ThanksThanksThanks Happy Valentines Everyone ThanksThanksThanks

7 Weeks today Grin

I have done nothing but vomit this morning Envy I am so over this already!

Morning KP

Thunder I have lost almost half a stone! Which is fine as I have plenty to spare Blush
And puppy day care Shock ....who knew there was such a thing!! Grin

Finallyfinally · 14/02/2012 12:49

Morning girls. Feeling very tired this week. I work late shifts and tbh wonder how I'm going to manage today! Low level morning sickness - MIL had left a meal for DD to take to the childminders in the fridge... I had to transfer it to a Tupperware container. I normally wouldn't have thought twice about it but - bleurgh...

Bubble - so sorry your sister is being a cow. Have you told her she's out of order? She can say what she likes to adults, but to your DS? Low...

Pezzina · 14/02/2012 14:01

Hello everyone! Seems like a lot of us are now suffering from sickness. As for cravings - the only thing I've noticed is that I seem to want sweet rather than savoury which is the complete reverse to how I was in my last pregnancy.

Not going to help the waistline nor the spots on my face! Confused

Psammead · 14/02/2012 17:29

Hello everyone!

Busy start to the week, not had much chance to pop in.

Hope everyone is fine!

Hiya MissPenteuth!

Been sooo tired. And a bit sicky. Massively hungry though. Can't stop thinking about MEAT! I even dream about it.
