Thunder I am glad you feel better than you did yesterday Smile

Please don't let OBEM put you off a home birth.
True shoulder dystocia is not very common at all. Sometimes they just need a bit of extra room to wriggle out. If you are within transfer distance of a hospital you would have plenty of time to get there should the need arise. You also wouldn't have had the salad spoons up your bits at home so would have been transferred in for FTP anyway.

The only reason the hubster is spooked is we are a 5 hour ferry ride to the mainland. I am still pretty much certain that I wont be going anywhere!

PopcornMouse · 09/02/2012 15:25

Pezzina I have gained 3lbs in 2 weeks Shock and I'm not even eating to abate nausea, I just can't. stop. eating. I'm ravenous all the time. Shock

I didn't watch OBEM and I'm sooo glad!

Pezzina · 09/02/2012 17:22

PopcornMouse Yikes I daren't get on the scales - goodness only knows how much I've put on. Shock

Ho hum - have just eaten an apple so thats a point for being good.

GizzyBoo · 09/02/2012 17:29

My new bathroom scales arrived this afternoon. I have tried them out. I am the same as I have been for the last god knows how long so that's good. I am eating like a horse though so not sure how long it will last.

I think its the fact I have lost all my alcohol liquid calories Blush

Oh and one other thing.....since I got that pink line 10 days ago I haven't had 1 single cigarette Grin....I am mucho proud of myself for that one!

babybrain3 · 09/02/2012 17:34

Well done gizzy!!!

Psammead · 09/02/2012 17:35

Pezzina Congrats on the house!

I still haven't told anyone! My parents are coming to stay in April so I might try to hold out until then. I think MIL will find out in a couple of weeks because I'd like her to watch DD while I have my appointment.

Starving, got to eat, see you all later!

Psammead · 09/02/2012 17:35

Oh well done, Gizzy!

RnB · 09/02/2012 17:47

Me too Gizzy - completely given up. I find it so easy with such a good motivation. Why on earth I've gone back to it when they're toddlers I dont know. Silly

Psammead · 09/02/2012 17:49

Well done you, too!

GizzyBoo · 09/02/2012 17:54

Thanks ladies Grin

RnB Well done you!! And you are so right....I occasionally get the odd thought but haven't had a real craving yet. I did the same with the #3 and could kick myself for starting again. Tis amazing what you can do when you have a real purpose Smile

CottonSock · 09/02/2012 19:42

Can I join.?? Had my BFP on Monday, will be due 15 Oct. Second pregnancy, following MS in September (recognise at least one of you here from previous forum). Starting to get some signs, not feeling hungry, not sleeping (panic/excitement), sore boobs, but feeling really good so trying to make the most of it in case sickness starts. Seeing GP monday. Seems a bit pointless as last time they just asked if I was taking folic acid, but they insisted. Can't believe there are 300 + posts already!

HeyMicky · 09/02/2012 20:01

OBEM - oh my god. DH has banned me from watching any more!

On hols from tomorrow, thank goodness. I plan to sleep in lots and have a nap EVERY DAY. Might have to pee on a stick tonight just to make sure before I head off as will tell friends while I'm there.

Welcome cottonsock And well done to all the ladies knocking cigarettes on the head

Psammead · 09/02/2012 20:10

Welcome, cottonsock!

CaptainHetty · 09/02/2012 20:24

Hi cottonsock, congrats :) and well done with no smoking gizzy!

CottonSock · 09/02/2012 20:45

I just watched OBEM,... I thought her husband was amazing, lovely couple and a good outcome in the end thankfully (I guess they won't show any bad outcomes, but trying to remeber they are very rare). Next weeks must be easier watching, or I might have to quit (I say that, but I'm hooked ;)

CottonSock · 09/02/2012 21:22

I have just enjoyed reading the whole thread to catch up :) so thought I would add, I'm from Wales and also a shorty at 5.1". (My name was actually shortlady in my previous thread, but I changed it for luck). I peed on one stick on Mon, negative, but didn't trust it, so on tues got a 5 pack of first response during lunch hour. Peed on one as soon as I got to the office and BFP straight away. Now I have 4 more tests sitting waiting. I have moved them from bathroom to bedroom to remove tempation. So funny to read you were all doing the same. I also got an ovulation kit a few weeks about, so about £40 I could have saved!
I am knicker checking, and imagine I will until at least 12 weeks, last MS was at 11. Will ask about early scan, but don't know if I'm convinced I want one yet. Hopefully some sleep happens tonight for us all..

GizzyBoo · 10/02/2012 07:41

Morning ladies Grin

Congratulations and welcome Cottonsock
I peed on my last stick yesterday Blush Well it would have been a shame to waste it!
Oh and thanks for the clarification on your height! I can rest easy now BlushGrin

6+3 today and feeling crampy and sick.....I look like I have been hit by a truck.
I must get out and enjoy the sunshine today.

The chooks have been laying me some lovely big brown eggs.....shall I make cake or quiche???

GizzyBoo · 10/02/2012 07:45

pinpan · 10/02/2012 08:28

whispers Can I join in too? GP reckons 26th Sept "give or take two weeks" and first babies are always late (or so I hear)... Pezzina and I could blaze a trail. Plus most of the Sept thread ladies are 2 or 3 weeks ahead of me and they're mostly enjoying scans and retreating sickness already.

I'm 30, 7+3, 5'5", from NE England but living in Chch, NZ, and this will be (fingers crossed) DC1.

Psammead · 10/02/2012 08:54

Welcome, pinpan!

Morning all.

isheisnthe · 10/02/2012 09:00

Woken up to bleeding this morning - like pink mucus - what does that mean?! The Epu at the local hospital were not interested and just said "well, it's very early". Do I just wait and see what happens then?

isheisnthe · 10/02/2012 09:01

Gizzyboo, I'm missing from the list, but not sure if you'll need to add me on :-(

Psammead · 10/02/2012 09:04
Sad

Canyoudo another test, isheisnthe? Bleeds arre common, but you will be worried.

GizzyBoo · 10/02/2012 09:08

Morning Pinpan Congrats and welcome.

I am very much amused at everyone adding their heights to their first posts Grin
Maybe we should add them to the stats Grin

Morning Psam

isheisnthe try not to worry too much my lovely. Lots of ladies have bleeding and spotting in the early weeks. Take it easy and put your feet up. Have a Brew
Now what are your stats?? lets get you on the list Smile

pinpan · 10/02/2012 09:15

isheisnthe, I have a hunch that pink (as opposed to red) and mucus are probably okay, though I totally agree with Gizzy that a cup of tea and putting your feet up is in order if you possibly can.

GizzyBoo - how about chocolate cake and bacon quiche with your lovely brown eggs? Now I am hungry.
