hello Aggie... your pain in your leg is obviously old age, flower.
Hee hee... sorry, was just having a nose and guessed it was you!
had my triple test letter today...low risk! And babs is kicking like Beckham again...Thanks for your help the other day during my neurotic crisis!

Will now butt out of July area and take myself off back to June where I belong...

Hi Wallace and Usandbump, hope you are all well girls.I am eating like a pig but a woman in the playground who doesn't know i'm pg said how thin i was looking!! You should have seen her face when i told her.I could so drink a glass of red wine tonight and a tube of pringles and dip mmmm, but i'm too scared!!

usandbump · 20/01/2006 14:58

Sorry Aggie I don't know what it could be either.
Hope you feel better soon and make sure you are getting lots of well deserved sympathy and rest

usandbump · 20/01/2006 15:03

Hi agalch
I'm eating loads too I have been getting some very funny looks from the girls at work! Doesn't help that I eat the same pasta meal for lunch everyday Have decided I'm just going to go with it and deal with the consequences later!

Oh and if it makes you feel any better I treat myself to a can of Stella on a Friday night ssshhh! Didn't even like lager before! I have been assured that this won't do any harm.

agalch · 20/01/2006 15:53

I am still bf my dd (17 months and i'm praying she gives up soon!!) so i havn't really had any alcohol for ages and ages but i have a real craving for something alcoholic.I usually drink baileys but i probably shouldn't.I am over 12 weeks so a lager wouldn't hurt, would it? My mouth is watering as we speak, sad or wot?

Hi all - what a lot of posts! I don't look in for a week and you've all been gabbing!

I am now exactly 13 wks, and pretty much the world knows I'm pg (think I just have very gossipy friends). It's a relief to go public in a way (this is my first).

My trousers are starting to get a bit tight (never was a one for skirts), but I'm trying to hold off the quite frankly rather bizarre looking maternity trousers for as long as poss.

I next see the mw on 10 Feb and hopefully will hear the heartbeat. Also have had a scan booking for 3 March so will finally get to see maewest junior.

Sounds like the rest of you are starting to feel better. Apart from having a sicky headache this afternoon ( and consequently skiving off work) I'm feeling pretty good, as long as I'm in bed by about 9.30!

maewest · 20/01/2006 16:20

sorry kayzed - x posts

usandbump · 20/01/2006 17:16

agalch its obviously your body telling you what you're lacking and it would be very unfair of you to deny it of it's needs As long as its every now and then I don't think it can hurt- mind you seeing as you haven't had an alcoholic drink in so long you will probably end up seriously intoxicated and singing On The Way To Amarillo (you mustn't blame me if this happens )

Kayzed, I hope you feel better soon I started feeling better at about 14 wks, I sympathise I had no appetite, lots of sickness and was unbelievably tired. I'm still sick once a week but it is hugely better. I bet before you know it you will be munching your way through everything in sight

maewest, I too held off on mat trousers but am givng in tomorrow as I can no longer do up the large majority of my trousers and quite frankly its becoming indecent

heartinthecountry · 20/01/2006 17:29

kayzed - if its any consolation I am still feeling sick. Not so bad but definitely can't say its gone (14 weeks tomorrow - surely its got to go soon).

I wish I fancied a lager or a baileys! If I ever stop feeling sick then I will indulge in the odd vino.. and large amounts of pasta pesto... and bakewell tarts (ate stacks of these with dd and she is addicted to them now too .

bumpybel · 20/01/2006 18:01

Wahoo its the end of the week. Dh is working evenings which means i get to hog the computer and trawl MN, sprawl on the sofa and eat chocolate!!!Welcome usandbump... you're due the day before spub and me! My next scan in 7th feb and i cant wait. Think i keep feeling flutters, but then again it could be wind!

Kayzed, I'm sorry to hear youre still feeling pants. If its any consolation, its only been the last week or so that i've started feeling normal, so any day now you could be leaping about and feeling better!

Thanks spub for advice re 'back bits'!! I'll mention it to mid wife and see if i should do anything else. You must have been in agony. Hope all tests and stuff go ok. Will keep fingers crossed for pain free event

Maewest, i'm the same about not wanting to launch into maternity clothes too soon, although I've bought some things now. I've been resorting to lengthening the shelf life of current trousers by using hair bobble around button fastening to expand waist bit!!! very attractive not! I showed MIL the other day and she gasped in horror at the sight!

HC, i've only just realised where you got your name from!!! I must be the dimmest person ever! I was scanning the mothercare brochure yesterday, daydreaming about nurseries and fluffy cushions, when i saw the range of HC stuff and it twigged!!! I'll use the excuse that I'm new to all this as my 'get out'! For some reason I had thought you probably had a son called Humphrey!

Cwmtydu · 20/01/2006 18:04

just got back from my scan! wow! it has fingers, and arms and legs and a head and a brain and a heart and everything else you'd expect! moving around a lot. wow! anyway it was quite hard to see as apparently my womb tilts backwards quite a lot, so i'm having another scan in two weeks! but her estimate of my dates was exactly the same as mine so i'll stick with the 31st July as my due date please.
have a good weekend everyone!

bumpybel · 20/01/2006 18:09

Cwmtydu... thats brill having been able to see fingers and things.. did you get all emotional? God i so cant wait for my next scan!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2006 22:31

Desperate to buy something too...I find it hard to resist the cute cuddly toys - as if we didm't have enough already. I think I will buy something as soon as I've had my scan. I must also sort out all the baby clothes we have in the attic. I hope to find out the sex at some point so I know which clothes to keep (have a ds and dd already). Unfortunatly it is our hospital's policy not to tell you.

bumpybel · 21/01/2006 16:25

Have just come back from shopping with heavily pregnant friend who has petrified me by compiling list of things like nipple guards, sweet almond oil(for bit of skin between front and back bits to reduce tearing) and front opening nighties!!! I clearly didnt have a clue of the extent of it all!

Usandbump... i've bought a couple of bits and bobs. Bought a pushchair with pram type thing in the sale at mothercare a couple of weeks ago. I was quite nervous about getting it so early, but it was in the sale and saved me 100 quid, so i couldnt resist! I'm going to save the main bulk of buying till after twenty weeks i think.

Dh is evenings again today and I'm adamant I'm not going to eat as much as last night! I've been feeling like a bubbly gurgly feeling in the bottom left side of my tummy and am wondering if its the baby. I hope it is!

HC do you know the sex of your bump? will you find out? I'm not going to find out and think that winnie the poo stuff or things with bears on might be quite sweet!

Wallace, you're sorted if you've already got one of each, clothes wise! How old are your children? Will you be able to use their cots etc?

Kayzed, havent heard of incompetent cervix thing. Did they know that your ds was in that position before birth? Is that going to affect your care with this baby?

When do you start using the almond oil? They had some in Holland and Barrett reduced today!

Wallace · 21/01/2006 20:12

Ds is 6 and dd is 4 so I have pretty much everything Haven't got a pram though, and might be a bit short of baby boy clothes as all that stuff was at MIL's house and she chucked it when she moved, despite me telling her to give it to me to sort out!

kayzed - superman style...OUCH! I hope your cervix is okay - if you are worried I'm sure they can keep an eye on it.
