Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Congrats FirstNkki!

Haven't posted for a while as feel crap!! Just want to sleep (well, am doing at night...12 hours a night at present...DH says oh, off again, what a lovely evening we've spent together!! Keep reminding him that both of us wanted this but it's really his fault I feel so yucky!!!!) & eat to starve off the sicky feeling. Problem is all I want is stodge still...all I ate yesterday were chips & glass after glass of Lemonade...urgh

Mabel, I overdosed on Twinings Lemon & Ginger last time so much so that as I write this I want to retch just thinking of it...!!!!

mabel1973 · 22/01/2006 12:35

coriander I am exactly the same - eating stodge to stave off nausea, have eaten a whole packet of teacakes and doughnuts, a greggs pasty and fish and chips this weekend v. healthy!

likewise on the ginger tea - i think i overdid it last time as well

puppy · 22/01/2006 14:11

Morning sickness is getting stronger for me now, will have to get some ginger biccies in.

Like you coriander I am sleeping loads can't get motivated to do anything around the house, managed to do the ironing this am and spent the rest of the time lounging around.

How are you feeling, homemama, norms and micku5?

appyday · 22/01/2006 14:51

Little quickie, got BFP yesterday, due 12 Sept, 1 month after DDs 2nd birthday, keeping very quiet for a while as off work sick for last 2 months, and also knocking on a bit - 41 next month. Want VBAC as last time was hell, if I have to have another C section hospital will insist on a general and I'll miss it all AGAIN. Got no symptoms except tender buzzy boobs and cramps.

FirstNikki · 22/01/2006 15:23

Congratulations Appyday and welcome, I too got mine yesterday edd 29th Sept.

Wishing all a healthy pg

calvemjoe · 22/01/2006 17:30

Nausea is great! I can't eat anything stoggey (I'm at work and the thought of it has me sitting at my desk heaving!) Just Rice Crispie (sp?) cakes and ginger biscuits.
My team leader dropped loads of hints to my tean and they've guessed so i'm really angry. Wanted to get to the magic 12 weeks because of the spotting.
Congrats to all the new BFP's xx

Coriander73 · 22/01/2006 18:07

My house is an utter state...I'm so ashamed I cannot get motivated to do anything....poor DH is running around as I've just had a moment saying I can't take the mess but as he points out I haven't exactly done anything to help at all since last week.....!!! I feel so yucky....

ROLL ON 12 WEEKS...

compo · 22/01/2006 18:52

Congratulations Appyday
I felt yukky today too. I hate that horrid taste in the mouth and also want to eat nothing but stodge. As soon as I've eaten I want to eat again!! I'm going to get so fat... What is everyone doing to take the nausea and disgusting metallic taste away?

puppy · 22/01/2006 19:01

Congratulations appyday

compo, I'm eating and drinking loads to get rid of taste and it helps with my nausea too, might also buy some mints.

puppy · 22/01/2006 19:02

They say ginger helps with nausea which is why i'm going to buy some ginger biccies tomorrow

appyday · 22/01/2006 20:51

Said I had no symptoms, but just read Compo's comment and I am desperately fighting a ravenous stodge urge. Got to be strong - I put on over a stone in 1st 3 months last time and I still got it. Not too tired, except DD taking 2 hours to settle at night, then around 3 am needing comfort for another hour or so, I get that one cos DH has work.

kreamkrackers · 22/01/2006 20:58

appyday - i also put on a stone in the first three months, then it kind of slowed down until i was about five months. after that i put on 4 stone so five stone in total i went from size 8 to size 20 now i'm about size 18 as i never lost the weight. hopefully things will be different this time. i'd love to be a size 12

appyday · 22/01/2006 21:11

I went from size 12 to 18, but I gave up smoking and alcohol and went from eating 1 meal a day to 3. So at least I'm healthier, though simply can't a) give in to cheese
b) drink so many milkshakes (don't like milk)

puppy · 22/01/2006 22:13

I put on a stone with my last, it was the bad choice in contraceptive that boosted me to a size 16/18. was planning on dieting when I got the bfp not sure I can diet while pg, will ask midwife when I meet with her,

puppy · 22/01/2006 22:14

just to make it clearer that should read:

I put on a stone when pg with ds which made me a size 14 from 12, it was the bad choice in contraceptive immediately after that boosted me to a size 16/18

FirstNikki · 23/01/2006 09:53

compo · 23/01/2006 09:57

wow an October thread!!

FirstNikki · 23/01/2006 10:00

I know its hard to believe my edd given today is 4 days on from orig. thought of 29/09

Angeliz · 23/01/2006 10:01

I bought sea bands which do nothing for me, the only thing that seems to help is constant eating!

I finally got booked in with G.P to refer me to Midwife. My Doc's have decided not to do appointments anymore but you have to ring at 8.30 in the morning to get appointment for that day. Well as i leave for School run then and don't get back till 9, they are all gone. I said to receptioist this morning, "could you make any siggesations how i'm going to ever get to see my Doctor?". She put me on hold and booked me in for Friday

Congratulations to new comers

Have stinking horrible cold at the moment and my waistline is feeling decidedly thicker!!

Angeliz · 23/01/2006 10:11

If anyone wants the seabands BTW, cat me as i've lost the receipt so can't take them back!

I'll just send them off, no charge

Morning all...... it doesn't sound like you're having much fun normsockers. Touch wood (tap head) so far I have not had any morning sickness. I didn't with dd so I am hoping I won't again this time.

Still off the meat but am making it up with loads of fruit and veg. Am also going swimming once a week atm so hopefully that covers my excerise quota.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted much but the sickness really hit me like a brick in the last few days. I don't know why I say that cause I was expecting it since the BFP.

At least at the moment I can actually eat and I'm eating for England. Yeaterday DH cooked a roast but all I wanted was the spuds. I ate 14 roast potatoes last night+6 packets of ready salted crisps. I'll make the most of it because this time next week I'll be lucky to keep down water!

If it's as bad as last time then this is it! No more!

Norms, do you find yourself snapping at people who suggest ginger and eating little and often? I nearly bit my MIL's head off last night - and she knows better!
