Congratulations Penelope Wow what a quick labour. Hope you're doing your best to take it easy now and recover.
Cheshire It's very normal to feel emotional. You're still recovering, tired, sore, hormones all over the place, and will be for a few weeks. I think with DD it was somewhere between weeks 4 & 6 that the fog seemed to clear.
I'm generally very level headed and strong person, I don't get emotional like some people, even when pregnant (really ratty when tired, but I rarely cry or lose my temper) but when the HV came and did the post-natal questionairre to check for depression I was quite shocked that I answered Yes to about half the questions. Thankfully she reassured me that it was all normal and she'd be more concerned that I wasn't coping if I'd said "No" to everything.
seasalt I've had 2 days in a row now where I've not fallen asleep at 5:30. This is a record. It gets to that time of night and I just can't keep my eyes open, even if I've not got up till 10:30. It's better than with DD though, then the tiredness hit at 2pm, really inconvenient when I was in work.
My parents have been up today as DH has been out for the day celebrating his birthday. My Mum has cleaned the house from top to bottom. DH calls her a whirling dervish. I wish I had a fraction of her energy... even when I'm not pregnant. :o
DD has been a star too really keen to help. She's been putting things away, mopping, cleaning windows. All good training for when the baby arrives... except she loves doing all these things with Nanna, but if I dare suggest she puts some of her toys away before getting some more out!!!
