Kayano · 20/09/2011 23:07

Here I am!!!! I woke up today numb down my left side Sad

Have been sleeping in strange positions still. Left dammit! LEFT!

PamBeesly · 20/09/2011 23:07

Frederika is lovely, I've known two, a little girl I taught English to in Italy and she was an angel and a Dutch girl I went to university who was so funny and full of joy, I think its a beautiful name

MrsHuxtable · 20/09/2011 23:17

I'm so glad you people think it's a lovely name as I really have my heart set on it but everyone at work was looking at me like I had gone mental and wanted to call her Walburga or some other weird ancient German name...

MrsHuxtable · 20/09/2011 23:18

Anyway, I'm off to sleep now. I have a doctor's appointment early in the morning but I will be back regularly from now on. With all the time that I have...Good night everyone!

BillComptonstrousers · 20/09/2011 23:18

We are all up late tonight!

Think we are having lucy or emma, they need to go with the other two fairly boring traditional names!

OP posts:
PamBeesly · 20/09/2011 23:23

both are lovely bill, strong and feminine, Emma was a strong queen in the 11th century, nice!

Kayano · 20/09/2011 23:34

I have no girls names at all. But I like Lucas or Jenson for a boy Grin

DH vetoed my girls name - It was Eden. Sad

ZhenXiang · 21/09/2011 00:04

Really like Frederika/Frieda and Sophia mrshuxtable sorry you are still feeling so sick.

Oh Kayano I really liked Eden :(

Bill you have good taste, I am a Lucy [biased emoticon], as a name it has always treated me well and means light :) Emma means universal so also a good meaning and know/have known lots of nice Emma's.

I have a big bump, look far more than 17 weeks, have tried sit ups as have a definite gap between my weak abdominal muscles after DD and am a bit worried about it getting worse. Will be re-starting my pregnancy pilates tomorrow in the hope of strengthing my core.

On a plus note have been noticing improvement in pelvic floor and weeing when sneezing since doing exercises at every opportunity :)

Kayano · 21/09/2011 00:22

Zhen... Are we supposed to do pelvic floor now?! The only exercise I have done is walk to the kitchen to get more Jaffa cakes Blush

Really Need to get proactive about all of this stuff lol.... I booked my NHS anti natal classes but got nothing til December. December!!!! Will be finished work before I get to go

(has booked obscene amount of holidays Grin)

ZhenXiang · 21/09/2011 00:44

Yes the more pelvic floor you do now, the less weeing yourself in the later stages of pregnancy and after the birth.

Also helps you get back to normal down there faster afterwards which helps your sex life (although you may be so tired feeding newborn that may take a while anyway).

The more exercise you do now the easier the birth generally (strong abs helps with pushing) and recovery, plus you will find it easier to lose baby weight afterwards as you will not have gained so much (breastfeeding really helps lose the weight too).

Crazybit · 21/09/2011 00:52

Have posted a pic if my 18 week bump on my profile and finally felt the baby kick me properly just now :) on phone will catch up properly tomorrow.

Xavielli · 21/09/2011 07:22

HAHA! wicket That made me giggle no end. One of my teachers at secondary school used to call me Bishop Brennan as it's my surname.

Speaking of names I actually really like Brennan as a first name. Brennan Docherty sounds great but I've got a 'thing' about surnames as first names and don't think I could do it!

Frederika is lovely in any variation and Freida a lovely nickname. If she wanted a change she could always be an Erika too! Lots of options.

Crazybit Wow! You do have a bump! And it's a lovely neat shape. I don't think mine is baby shapes yet as it's only made from chocolate fudge cake!

Xavielli · 21/09/2011 07:23

And speaking of pictures I should really put some up to date ones of the urchins on my profile.. The ones on their are nearly a year old now.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 21/09/2011 07:26

MrsHuxtable, I am delighted to hear that someone else is still really sick! So bored of it now Sad

Like Frieda too! TBH, I've been feeling too ill for us to really think about names - I just can't get motivated.

BillComptonstrousers · 21/09/2011 07:37

Haha crazy I think we have matching bumps!

For some reason It won't upload a pic onto here, might have to add some of you onto face book if anyone has an account then I get to nosy at all your real pictures Grin

Sugar80 · 21/09/2011 07:39

I now have bump envy. Mine just looks like I've had a big dinner!

rnbsmum · 21/09/2011 09:26

Morning all x MrsHuxtable I love the name "Frieda" and it's the name of a very cool character in Holby!! (I watch waaaaay too much telly Blush!) For those of you still feeling crappy and not feeling up to getting out much, have you thought about knitting? I took it up when I was expecting my first DC (DD) in a slightly ironic way just so she could wear something I'd made but I have become soooo into it. There are really cool patterns around (and free ones on ravelry. I'm half way through <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=debbie+bliss+alphabet+blanket&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbm=isch&tbnid=iQ33xy5gqhL7uM:&imgrefurl=yarnlot.blogspot.com/2009/07/debbie-bliss-dekentje-met-alfabet.html&docid=xeQpoGZlEZOasM&w=400&h=300&ei=QJ15TswPgYfQBfHQ0MAB&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=538&vpy=298&dur=9438&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=140&ty=132&page=1&tbnh=136&tbnw=181&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0&biw=1280&bih=631" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this for beanie. (It's not my blog incidentally, just nicking the picture!)

DH has now vetoed Iris and we are currently thinking Beatrice. We have a Rosalyn (Rosie) and a William (Billy) so think he has a bit of a Shakespeare thing going on! Good luck all scanees - it's so fantastic to be hearing all the scans stories and that the wee ones are all starting wriggling and kicking.

Xavielli · 21/09/2011 09:45

Can't believe I have posted this morning and not said I am 20 weeks today! Poor neglected 4th baby already....

InnocentRedhead · 21/09/2011 09:57

It was busy last night! Some lovely names, I love most of them, can imagine DP hates them. Mind you, DP does like Emma and so do i.

The anxiety about the pregnancy has come back, thank god the MW appointment i got to speak to her about it is tomorrow. So I am not good. Hanging in there though. 19+2, and I thought it got easier after the first 12w :(

littlemonkeybix · 21/09/2011 10:13

Morning ladies!

Oh innocent how poo that you've got anxiety Sad it's a real bummer! hope you feel better soon!!

Names... boy = Thomas Stanley William Surname (my pick.. therefore I want a boy!) and girl = Lily Anne Surname (his pick... I don't mind, but I must win Wink ha)

Still mega tired, but have had a day or two off from it, then get all excited I've turned a corner... then WHAM tireds again!

I have a massive "bump" ie, not gained much weight, but have more front tummy than usual. Been in maternity kecks for weeks as I think things are just shifting round a bit! Flabby - tastic!

Going to book onto the aquanatal for next weeks class... excited!! Got myself a fab tankini for the occasion, lets hope I don't get shy and bottle going!! (has happened plenty before!!)

17+4 (or 16+4 by scan - which I dont believe! I'm too massive!)

Sugar80 · 21/09/2011 12:04

Just booked my tour of the maternity department for the end of October! Scan is 2 weeks today so wanted to get it done while I'm there, but they only do the tours on weekends.

Struggling to find any kind of antenatal classes around here. The aquanatal was cancelled due to low attendance apparently, and there's a Pilates centre that might do something, but they haven't responded to my emails (and they look expensive!). NHS antenatal classes aren't until the end of January...

Sugar80 · 21/09/2011 12:04

Oh, 17+3

EsmeWeatherwax · 21/09/2011 12:40

Hello ladies, marking my place. Second 20 week scan tomorrow, bub will hopefully be in a more amenable position this time! Am getting internally pummeled as we speak!

21+1!

PamBeesly · 21/09/2011 13:41

crazybit you look pregnant thats great, I just look fat :( your bump is nice and perfect looking :)

Kayano I loved Eden!

rnbsmum I like Beatrice too, its so pretty

BillComptonstrousers · 21/09/2011 13:52

Is anyone else getting palpitations? I just had some irregular heartbeats that have lasted well over a minute, normally just a couple of jumps and then back to normal, but that really freaked me out!

Just trying to calm down now.
