Great news about work innocent :)

Ive got physio on Thursday, finally, for my SPD. Im pretty much housebound right now. Doubt they will do anything but il feel better after a moan i guess.
I phoned to make my appointment this morning and the receptionist was like "Can you make it here in 15 minutes? Weve had a cancellation." Errm no, i live at the other side of town, i dont drive and im not even dressed yet, nevermind the fact it takes me 10 minutes just to get up the stairs, but thanks!!

It got me thinking, i dont actually know how im going to get to the hospital when im in labour.. Luckily i live in town, but its right at the other end, im thinking taxi?? We dont own a car, and if a friend etc isnt available. I didnt have to worry about that with DD as we had a car at the time and i ended up getting induced early anyway.

I put one of my scan pics on my profile, will take a bump picture up tomorrow when i can be bothered taking one haha...

Lovely to hear about all the lovely scans!

21+1

Crazybit · 27/09/2011 20:34

Woowa-Good news from consultantBabyC-Apparantly physio can work wonders so hopefully it will be helpful. Lovely picture :) Just seen your hometown when looking at your pic, myfriend is from there but she has moved now. Probably massive though Grin

Innocent-great news about work, don't you overdo it though :)

Woowa-Good news from consultant and yes it does Wink

Kayano-That is lovely, I really hope your baby plays ball..can you get a picture of you and your mum at the hospital? could be a lovely memory to put in a frame for her:)

Lilly-Sorry you're feeling so rubbish still :(

PDog-Hope you have a had a lovely day and tea :)

I had a random walk in session with an holistic therepist this afternoon as I struggle with my neck a lot from a whiplash injury a year ago-she said she has realigned me, that my posture is rubbish etc. Not sure if it'sdone much good really, wasn't really sure about her, I did fall asleep after tea though so guess she has done something..

Xavielli · 27/09/2011 22:11

Woowa - great news! I have my first ever consultant app after my scan tomorrow and hoping not to have to see him too often.

Innocent - great news about work!

20+6 - scan at 9.40am tomorrow. Starting to get a bit nervous, things like this don't get any easier, no matter how many times you've done it before!

melliebobs · 27/09/2011 22:25

Eeek loads to catch up on from just today and I'm on my mobile which makes it hard work. Good luck to all those with scans coming up! And whoever asked about the headaches I've been getting them towards the end of the day and it's not dehydration or anything. But after 2 paracetamol and it not going away u just got to grin n bear it which is a pain in the bum Sad

Had a dodgy day today. Washed up last nights pots this morning and had a right puking episode in the kitchen sink. Dog went mental cos he was like 'what's going on!?' but I've pulled a muscle in my tummy and getting the worst stabbing pain behind my bellybutton. Strange! Lol pips been gettin a bit more vigourus. Felt more than the odd bubble popping this evening. More like they were swimming and headbutting against my tummy. Fool! Ah well evening all Grin

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 28/09/2011 04:59

Awake at silly o clock again & sooooo excited about my scan that I will probably stay awake.
Glad everyones scans & appointments are going well & good luck to those with things coming up. Sorry I can't do more personals but on my phone as our modem has died & i can't remember anything.
Going to lay here wondering pink or blue Smile hope we get to see Smile

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 07:47

Good luck for later squiglett Smile I'm guessing blue. Been loads of pinks on here!

phlossie · 28/09/2011 08:00

Good luck with your scans squigglettsmummy and Xavielli. We definitely need a couple more for the blue team! I'm guessing boy for you both!

Is everyone updating the stats thread (wherever it is!) with boy, girl or surprise?

I just exploded porridge all over the brand new microwave. Oops!

babycarmen · 28/09/2011 08:37

Arrrgh not sure whats going on with the stats page, i think people may be copying older posts and its knocking people off and changing dates back (and in my case knocking dates off completely lol?) Would be nice to update with gender, shall we start again??

Thanks Crazy! :D I hope they do something even if its just showing me how to help myself a bit.

Im so hungry, all i want to do is eat and sleep just now haha. DP told me last night he would like another DC after this one. Hmm, you can tell its not men who do the hard work huh? Most of my friends have 3 DCs and they all say how the 3rd pregnancy/labour was the worst and i admit it puts me off, especially when im struggling so much with this one so far, although im sure plenty of people have easy 3rd pregnancys! Anyway have other stuff to get past first, so DP can keep dreaming for a while haha Grin

Im so paranoid i wont be able to get pregnant again after this one because im getting a colopscopy (sp?) once ive had the baby to see how bad my 'abnormal cells' are from my smear (got results like a week after i found out i was pregnant :/) and im probably worrying more then i should about it.

Ok babble over, im off to raid the cupboards :D

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 09:03

phlossie lol i do that all the time. But when i went shoppin i couldnt remember if we had any porridge left so Today im on a pot porridge that you add water too. Not the best :( eugh Im sure in a hour ill be starving again!

Toodays my birthday too!!!!!! Can't eat too much cos going out for what should be a yummie meal this evening :)

Sugar80 · 28/09/2011 09:52

Happy birthday melliebobs and good luck to those having scans! Mine's a week today (9.15 - I'll have had it by now!) - can't wait!

Home today as I've got the lurgy. Well, sore throat, headache and generally acheyness and lethargy. Paracetamol's not touching it, so I'm aiming for a quiet day watching TV and cwtching up with the dogs. I might even venture out into the sunshine with a magazine later...

InnocentRedhead · 28/09/2011 10:07

Good luck with the scan today squigletts. I think a new stats pages should be started, I would do it but I'm on my phone. Just build it up from the beginning again.

Happy birthday mellie!! Hope you enjoy your day!

Just had the biggest breakfast ever, which included 3 of my 5 a day as well :o working today so I will be shattered tonight, but I gotta bring in the pennies. DP starts his new job next week, when we get the keys to our new house :) plenty of chance to nest :o

Enjoy the weather and your day everybody

mummymccar · 28/09/2011 10:16

Wow - you ladies talk a lot! It has taken me hours to catch up!

Happy Birthday Melliebobs! Hope that you have a lovely day filled with lots of cake.

Gonerogue, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Thinking of you.

Innocent, Glad that your work seems to be getting their act together a bit more. Hope that you start to feel better about the anxiety soon.

Devon, I hope that you are recovering well.

Woowa Hope that DD feels better soon.

BabyCarmen Hope that your physio helps.

Bill, How are your palpitations now?

Congratulations on the boy and girl scans - fantastic news! Sorry to hear that some of you are still feeling sick. Fantastic bump pictures everyone, I'll try to get one up too when I'm not on my phone!

Feeling much better here - off the Cyclizine finally! Getting a nice, big, tidy round bump with no extra weight on. Apparently that may mean I'm having a girl? Our scan isn't until next week and I'm not sure that we want to find out but I'm not sure we'll have much control over it if baby wants us to know! Had my 17 week midwife appointment last week and midwife couldn't find the heartbeat for a very long time. We were starting to get worried when she suddenly found it. Baby wasn't too happy about being found though and gave the Doppler a few kicks for good measure. My cat cane and snuggled up to bump yesterday and put her paw down on the bump just where baby was - baby gave her a good warning kick which terrified the poor cat! She won't snuggle with bump anymore.

Had a bit of a hormonal day yesterday where everything just got on top of me and I spent the entire day crying. I've never cried so much in my life! Face and head feel awful today. My parents split up a couple of weeks ago which wasn't unexpected, but my parents aren't adjusting as well as we'd hoped, particularly my mum. My sister appears to think it is all about her though and has been ordering my parents to stay together for the sake of her birthday in December. She also hasn't phoned my dad at all to see how he is, and when I phoned to ask if she was ok she diverted all 5 calls and told my mum that she didn't want to speak to me because she was sure I only wanted to talk about our parents and she didn't want to. That's find but the 5th call was actually about my appointment at the midwife. I sent her a message but she hasn't bothered getting in contact so I'm going to leave it. Sisters, eh?!

Plus, I've been going out a bit more which has been great except for the fact that I keep encountering that breed of nab that thinks it is funny to tell a pregnant woman that they look fat. Nice.
Sorry for the moan!

On a lighter note, has anyone been using bio-oil? Expensive but it seems to really be working - my bump doesn't feel anywhere near as tight as it did a week ago before I was using it. Highly recommend!

Has anyone else signed up to the mothercare parenting nights? We've got tickets for next week and it looks great. Loving all of the cute clothes in there too - can't wait until after 20 week scan when we are going to buy things! A lovely mumsnetter gave us her unneeded pram too which was fab - a Bertie bidwell(sp?) that is very old fashioned and gorgeous! Not ideal for public transport but perfect for walks around the park.

Sorry for the essay and for any missed spelling mistakes/odd words (autocorrect!)

18+6

mummymccar · 28/09/2011 10:17

P.S. Good luck with the scans everyone!

mummymccar · 28/09/2011 10:20

From my last post - find sound be 'fine' and nab should be 'man'!

CoffeeOne · 28/09/2011 10:23

Just a quick one....

PDog - my bump looks just like that too! Hopefully it will get rounder and cuter soon!

Happy birthday Mellie!

Good luck for your scan today squiglett :)

mummymc (and everyone) - bio oil is half price at the mo in Lloyds Pharmacy! I'm also going to the mothercare evening next week, will hopefully try out some nice prams.

19+4 (scan on Friday wooooo!)

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 28/09/2011 10:35

Just a quickie to say cheeky baby is breech with umbilical cord between legs so still no idea whether pink or blue!
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather Grin

Xavielli · 28/09/2011 10:46

Scan was wonderful!! Lovely wriggly perfect baby! Has it's legs crossed though! This is the first time I haven't known and I'm not quite sure what to make of it

littlemonkeybix · 28/09/2011 10:52

Happy birthday melliebobs - stuff yer face and enjoy it !! YAY!

WARNING I'm feeling quite the moaner today..

Rant mode on I "joked" about my training request not being approved.. said I presumed it hadn't considering the course in Manchester starts today and I'm not there. I then found out, the person responsible for the whole site's training requests hasnt sent them in yet!?!?!

She's on my team... and clearly is spending too much time thinking we all don't know she's shagging another manager in the room... who has a long term partner. Do your work love, you're getting boring now... and it's now directly affected ME!

There are no more courses available over the next 12 months (oh yay!) and my role is being dissolved when I go off on maternity leave. I am only on a secondment, so my "real" job is still waiting for me... but it means that my job prospects else where are now lessened. I was hoping to move jobs once we'd settled with the kiddy ... if only she bothered to do her JOB!! She's 2 grades above me by the way, so clearly I am not important!

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!

rant mode off

Plus, trying to stave off "worried mode" as I felt early movements, and they were approx every 2 days... all little pushes around the abdomen - felt LOVELY... but I haven't felt anything since my 16 week appointment 2 weeks ago Sad I am HOPING it's a placenta thing?? But would I know that from my 12 week scan??!! they never said anything.

Sorry.... today's clearly not started well (sore hips again), and now I am full moanywhinge.... feel free to ignore!

littlemonkeybix · 28/09/2011 10:54

Xavielli and Squiglet GREAT to hear your scan news Grin

I can't wait for mine.... but have to!! EEEEEEE Grin

CoffeeOne · 28/09/2011 10:57

Oooh Squiglett and Xav, two cheeky babies! Grin

littlemonkey - what a cowbag Angry I hope you got her told?! Try not to worry about movements, it's still early and your little one will be kicking away in no time :)

littlemonkeybix · 28/09/2011 11:04

Thanks Coffee

I emailed my manager (who's also her manager) as it was through him (and his predecessor) that we have been trying to get me on this course since FEBRUARY! I just told him whatI got told by her... so not sensationalising or anything. [sly emoticon]

there's a few of us been peeved at her recently as she's really letting it slip.... but this just got right under my skin (understandably)

Anyway.... cos it's new and I want to use it Thanks to cheer up anyone who wants cheering!! Wink

mummymccar · 28/09/2011 11:47

Congratulations on little wriggly babies Xav and Squiglett!
Coffee - thanks for the tip! Boots have it on offer too but only a third off I think - shall be stocking up at Lloyds now! Really looking forward to the mothercare event - sounds like it'll be great from what I've heard so far.
Littlemonkey - that manager sounds rubbish! You should put a complaint in about that, especially since it will have ramifications for you. WRT the movement - don't worry too much, the wriggly ga are coming and going here too, they'll get stronger soon. Mine were really weak up until only a couple of days ago and are still not strong enough for DP to feel. Baby may just be hiding at the moment. Do you have a Doppler?

deardear · 28/09/2011 12:02

i have bump envy :( lovely catching up for 10 mins and seeing everyones bumps - will have to work out how to put mine up. I am 19+4 and still in my size 12 jeans and trousers :(

called in to doctors yesterday to see if MW had any slots as getting lots of pain on my RH side doesnt feel ligaments but she says it is. more like cyst pain. have my scan in 2 weeks time so will get them to have a look.

we have decided i think to find out what we are having. i just feel the need to be organised.

baby is active - not big kicks - more like fingers tickling inside but nice anyhow.

gonerogue sorry to hear about your dad passing and hope you are ok and make sure you take things steady - these things take a couple of weeks to catch up with us but when they do they do big time.

littlemonkeybix · 28/09/2011 12:26

mummy no I don't have a doppler, but I was going to speak to my nursey friend on Thursday, to see if her stethoscope would work?! My 16 week appointment MW didnt listen for pip as they don't in our area. Usual line of if they can't, they don't want the mother worrying... which I understand.

I think I'll text nursey now Wink

deardear I'll swap your size 12 jeans for my flabby mess Wink I manouvred it last night, and could see full bump... but when I let go, it hides amongst my flabby folds - hahah!

Crazybit · 28/09/2011 12:34

On phone so will reply properly later just wanted to say congrats on the scans and babyc I had a colposcopy just before I got preg with this one :) all fine, not impressed with the third pregnancy being harder though :(
