littlemonkeybix · 28/09/2011 13:47

I've stopped feeling sulky now (hooray for egg custards!) and also my nursey friend didn't think her stethoscope would work, but we're gonna try for a listen anyway!!

Hope everyone has the sun shining on them!! I went for a walk to the local village from work at lunchtime.... LOVELY! plus I have a window seat! YAY!

QueenFee · 28/09/2011 13:51

Babycarmen my 2nd pregnancy was my most difficult my 3rd and so far 4th have been much easier.
Yesterday was the 1st time a stranger asked me when I was due so I must finally look pregnant not just a chubster!
Had my scan this morning it was really clear. Baby was lying face down accross my hips!
All appeared to be well though so i'm happy!

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 15:48

Xavielli and Squiglet how frustrating not being able to find out whether they are pinks or blues (that's if you were wanting to find out). I always say if you can't find out cos they have their legs crossed of chord covering the vital parts its a girl. Only a lad would lie there with their legs spread!

deardear i'll join you with the bump envy. 19+3 today and still in me normal jeans. All those years of teaching core stability must have paid off. As under neath the few layers of flab theres abs strong as steal that pip is struggling t o break through. Do notice it when i'm lead on my front though, not as comfortable as it was!

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 16:25

www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/lookinggood/beauty/realvsyummy/ this popped up on my babycentre app the other day and made me chuckle

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 28/09/2011 17:04

Mellie I did want to know as my pram choices are very gender based but am now swaying between a private scan & a surprise. I have a car seat & sling & will be in hospital for a couple of days as I'm having a c-section so sure I could send someone to go & get the right one for me if I wait & see. Hmmmmm what to do? Xavelli, what are you going to do?
Im laughing reading about all the flat bellies as mine is huge & I've been told not long now so many times I just smile & nod now rather than say no February actually. Us just lost 10 stone when I started ttc & am now 7 stone up with the stress of trying, the pregnancy & being a piggy Blush I know I can lose it though so will worry about that some other day Smile

phlossie · 28/09/2011 17:07

Well, I have normal jeans envy!

Happy birthday, melliebobs!

I'm going to start a new stats thread. Everyone make sure you copy the one above you and paste it so we don't lose anyone. I'll do it now and then put in a link.

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 17:11

oh no squiglett .... So how are your pram choices very gender based?! Which ones are you looking at. I've got a scan on friday, if we can't find out we are getting a scan more than likely with babybond had some good reports about them

phlossie · 28/09/2011 17:12

shiny new stats thread

Update your stats everyone!

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 28/09/2011 17:58

Mellie for a girl I have picked a pink silver cross surf & for a boy the icandy peach in sweet pea so need to know really. I've looked at babybond too, really can't decide what to do now. Im a really annoying super organised person so waiting to buy my pram after the birth goes very much against the grain Blush

Sugar80 · 28/09/2011 18:02

Stats updated!

Feeling a bit better now, think I'd just got a bit run down. DP has just pointed out my fat belly and asked if it was meant to have rolls... nice.

Still no movement

melliebobs · 28/09/2011 18:18

I know squiglett cos with iCandy it's not as if you can just walk into the shop and buy it. Well not round here anyway they just have display ones and will order it. I'm looking at iCandy peach jogger in red or black so boy or girl it will look all cool n comfy in it's new wheels!

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 28/09/2011 18:38

Sugar did you bash your dp? Lol. They say the perfect things don't they?
Mellie I like the surf in red but my best friend has a red phil n teds & another friend who's baby is due December has a red pram & we tend to walk about together as our sons are in the same class so I didn't want us to be the red buggy brigade, lol. You are right about the iCandy, it's one I would need to order. So many decisions hey?
Has everyone got names? I'm set for a girl but have no idea for a boy x

ZhenXiang · 28/09/2011 19:05

Hello everyone, what a lovely day :) We have been in the park today, playing in the sandpit and enjoying the sunshine.

woowa - glad to hear about the consultant signing you off :)

babycarmen - I hope the physio can help with SPD. When I was pregnant with DD we had no transport so I asked the local cab firm and they were fine to take me in. As it was I needed to go in during rush hour/school run so no cabs available, ended up in an ambulance (we were worried about calling 999, but the paramedics said it was fine to call them).

Happy birthday melliebobs Thanks, hope you enjoy your meal this evening.

InnocentRedhead glad to hear that work are giving you the hours now, good luck for the house move.

Xavielli and Squiglet glad the babies are doing well :), can't wait formy scan next Tuesday. Shame that you couldn't find out the sex, hope my one behaves although it was very stubborn during the first scan so we shall see!

Glad baby looked well Queenfee :)

littlemonkeybix how frustrating about training Angry, glad you emailed her manager and the egg custards made you feel better :)

Sorry to hear about your pains deardear hope it is ligament pain and it goes soon. I have been getting pain not from ligaments, but from the scar tissue stretching around my CS scar :(

mummymccar glad you are feeling better. Sorry to hear about your parents, what a shame your sister can't be a bit more grown up about it all.

Sugar glad you are feeling a bit better. DH sure does know how to make ya feel better doesn't he Hmm

Thanks for the new stats thread Phlossie Thanks

Xavielli · 28/09/2011 20:43

Squiglett, seriously considering a gender scan! Been driving me nuts all day. We don't have much money or space so would like to know whether it's worth storing DS2's clothes or if I'd be better off selling them to buy girl stuff. This is the only one who has been shy, driving me nuts already. Lol

Happy Birthday Mellie!

Went to the local carvery for lunch today, was lovely! Also found out a good friend who had a miscarriage in late July is pregnant again! Lovely day all round

woowa · 28/09/2011 20:45

Thanks also for the new thread, nice to be organised about something!

I've been feeling REALLY swollen today, down below (been on and off for a few weeks but today was the worst), bumped into a retired MW friend who said it could be varicose veins, but it could be something worse (like a cyst!) so i must be checked asap. boo hiss. Anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm not seeing my MW for another 3 weeks, am seeing consultant at hospital next week, but don't usually see a MW at hospital, think i might request to see one as i don't love my GP or consultant enough to get my bits out for them!! Hoping its ONLY varicose veins, which is awful enough!

No names here at all, DH said he won't talk about it before december as he'll only change his mind if we decide now. Fair enough. I've got NO idea really though and think this might be chosen after birth so we don't waste too much time picking one we won't use for the other sex!!

right, to downton catch up!

PDog · 28/09/2011 21:01

Evening all

Good news on the scans even if some babies were being a bit shy and hiding their bits.

monkey that is really not on, has she apologised to you at all? Glad you are feeling better now though.

Mellie happy birthday to you! Hope you are having a lovely night.

That doesn't sound very nice zhen hope it is not too painful.

I still have back pain. Went to see doctor, she said it was probably down to some bone that I can't remember the name of moving. It should resolve itself but she will refer me for physio if it is not better in a week or so. I am supposed to rest, not lift or carry and not sit for too long - bit hard with a 21mo and a part time desk job Hmm.

PDog · 28/09/2011 21:12

X posts (slow typist).

Ooh woowa that doesn't sound pleasant either way. I have felt more tender down there at times but it hasn't lasted for long periods. There is always a midwife present when I see my consultant at the hospital to do blood pressure, heartbeat etc so would have thought there would be someone to ask. Sounds like you should get it check ASAP.

InnocentRedhead · 28/09/2011 21:40

On my phone and there is a lot to do personals on so I will do tomorrow when I'm not on my phone.

Pushchair/pram wise, we have already bought ours Mothercare curv, got the pushchair with detatchable carseat, got is for 160 reduced from 240 and with money being tight you know. I would love a icandy orsomething like that though :( starting to think am I doing the right thing, hopefullyit will pass and it is just me suffering with the fear again. Hormonal day though and just being really stressed. Crying now just talking about it.

Night all, will be on tomorrow x

PamBeesly · 28/09/2011 22:20

Innocent hope you feel a bit better in the morning. I'm getting a Silver Cross 3D Coco Classic and its ?300 which is about ?260 there is no way I could afford an iCandy either, the one I looked at was ?1099, and I prefer mine anyway Grin (sorry iCandy mothers :) ) My mother has bought a cot for me, with mattress for ?100 so we're picking up bargains as we see them, your baby will be so loved and well looked after so it doesn't matter what she/he has, babies just usually want cuddles and clean bums.

Happy Birthday Mellie have some birthday Thanks

Still no movement yet, even though I did feel something pressing down on my bladder then I thought I felt a flutter but only for about 3 seconds.

Everyone who has posted a pic has lovely bumps...mine is just a flabby tummy with no shape but I'll get there :)

18+5

PamBeesly · 28/09/2011 22:21

Innocent I meant ?300 is about £260! (and hoping it goes down in price in the sale)

QueenFee · 28/09/2011 22:56

Woowa my ladybits always swell a lot in pregnancy. Not sure if thats what you mean however if it is it does make for good sex Blush

Kayano · 29/09/2011 07:33

SCAN DAY!!!! Grin

Wooooo I am crazy excited. DH is ready to go, I am nearly ready and going to pick my mum up on the way Grin

BillComptonstrousers · 29/09/2011 07:43

Good luck Kayano

And updates ASAP please! From your phone, in the hospital canteen!

phlossie · 29/09/2011 08:05

I'm really off sex. I dream about it and want it then, but when it comes down to it I don't really want to. It's a bit rubbish, really. It's partly because I had a tiny bleed last time we did it. The movements I'm feeling are weird because I have an anterior placenta. I think Jeff hides behind it, so I don't feel it so much, but I get lots of very internal flutterings and using my bladder as a punch bag! Good luck today, Kayano!

littlemonkeybix · 29/09/2011 08:10

Awww kayano have a fab day Grin hope your mum has the best time too!!

Update on training, my boss spoke to me about getting on to another course. I said there weren't any other than further afield, mainly London... He said look anyway and try to push for overnight approval Grin

So I looked, and there is ONE other than london (too far personally) which is Birmingham. Also I have a pal in B'ham so we could meet of an evening GrinGrin

Application form amended, sent back to shaggy woman and copied in our boss... I will chase her up FREQUENTLY!

I have a good case as my role is being dissolved, I'm currently building up to an exit strategy, and this would be ideal to ensure wherever this part of my job goes can be smoothly taken over. My "real" job is secure for now so I'm not out of a job after mat. leave.

Hope we're all set for a good day Smile I feel rather chipper, but exhausted! Mum's dog was playing up ALL night! But I went to 1st aquanatal class and met a handful of new people, one who is due within a week of me... Wonder if Michelle's on here!!?
