Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I went in to have a wee look around, and I thought it seemed very expensive though.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 09:31

Morning!

Have you looked on-line at the maternity clothes? Their basic tops are ok, quite reasonably priced but some of their other stuff is a bit much and tbh and I couldn't quite see the point of wearing whilst pg.

I've bought a jacket and top from Vertbaudet, total cost £18 and a mohair type jumper from La Redoute for £13!
Bargain!

You all seem to be feeling a bit sicky now. I'm still not getting any symptoms and I don't know whether to feel or about that!

This midwife appt next month cannot come quick enough!

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 09:31

Morning girls,

I'm having a weepy day today. Boss is driving me insane, keep having to pop to the loos to have a bit of a teary moment. Be glad when I get home today.

Glad to hear everyone is having symptoms, I'm very paranoid at the mo as I have no symptoms, nothing at all. Hey ho, I'm Sure all will be fine.

Your not on your own MXW. Maybe we should just count ourselves lucky

As for your boss, make him some tea and spit in it. That will make you feel better

rubles · 12/12/2005 09:43

I've no symptoms either. My boobs feel very slightly heavier, but nothing else, not painful and I'm not tired.

I am only 5 weeks tomorrow though so I suppose there is plenty of time. It does kind of make me forget I am pregnant though, and when I have talked to dp about next year I feel like I am 'putting it on'.

I remember feeling like this last time, like someone was going to pat my hand and say 'there there dear, stop pretending now'.

This is a very chatty thread isn't it?

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 09:46

lol@ "there, there"

I keep getting that feeling, we talk about setting up a nusery in the new house and what colour we'll paint it, DF keeps patting my tummy and smiling but it still doesnt feel real. It's like playing mummy's and daddy's when you're little. lol

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 09:49

I don't have anyone else to chat to though! Dh works away, MN is my saviour!

It's quite reassuring to know that other people feel the same as you. As horrible as morning sickness is, sometimes I wouldn't mind it (just a little bit)

I tell you what is confusing me though and you lot might be able to work it out. The first day of my last period was 8.11 so by that I would say I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I've put that date in the baby centre due date calculator thingy and it's saying that I'm 5 weeks and 3 days! Why's that?

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 09:52

Sorry Hun havent the slightest. I wouldnt worry too much about your Exact due date, chances are it'll change when you get your first scan done. I'm meant to be due 10th aug but cant but think that will be a bit different.

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 09:56

It's not really the due date that bothers me. One thing I learnt is that they'll come when their good and ready, lol.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 09:56

It would be nice to think I'm further on though IYKWIM

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 10:01

Maybe you are. Think of it as 5+3 and then when you get there you'll get the exact!

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 10:05

Maybe.

Roll on January!

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 10:06

I hope it is further than you think, then you'll get baba much quicker!

Hello everyone!
I'm glad to see everyone is OK.
I've had a really nice weekend relaxing but I also couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I have no symptoms either! At least I can see you both don't have any yet either, makes me feel better. My aunt says that with the first ds she had no sickness at all, and with the second she had it very bad. So lets just hope we won't get it at all!

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 10:14

Fingers crossed!

It's good to hear none of us are very sickly!

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 10:18

Its good to hear it. It means that if none of us are sick, we're either all deluded (very unusual) or we're just not meant to have symptoms and will fly through this pg.

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 10:19

I'd like to think I've paid enough when pg with dd.

Although my other theory was I had bad morning sickness but an easy labour so maybe one out weighs the other!

kitegirl · 12/12/2005 10:56

I had no sickness with ds, not even slightly nauseous, at any point. Now someone told me that sometimes morning sickness is worse if you are expecting a girl, or you might not get any if you are expecting a boy - something to do with hormones? complete load of rubbish or is there a grain of truth there? and here's me naming the baby already..

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 10:57

Well I was told that too and I did have a girl.

Maybe this one is a boy

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 11:36

I just remembered I've got my scan tomorrow! I just found the card for my now cancelled docs appointment today and it reminded me about tommorrow. I'm dead excited now!

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 11:39

You lucky thing! Am excited for you!

jinglediddle · 12/12/2005 11:40

just crashing your thread ladies. don't worry about not having symptoms yet. I had none for the first few weeks until about 7 or 8 wks then it hit me, and stayed until 13 wks. so amke the most of feeling well because when it comes you'll want to be in bed forever!!!

many people have no morning sickness, its not abnormal and if you don't you're very lucky. its nothing to worry about

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 11:43

I'll tell you all about it when i get in. The app is at 8.45 so I'll let you know when I get back. Have had to tell work that i need to pick my mum up from the physio they seem ok with that.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 11:46

Thanks Jinglediggle

It's hard not to compare pregnancys though.

carlychristmas · 12/12/2005 11:53

mums when you went to docs did they say what your hcg levels were or just that they were higher than expected at this stage? Wouldnt it be fab if you went in and they said you were 12wks
