I am feeling quite weepy and paranoid tonight because i think i over did it a bit today, feel like i have made something go wrong now.

Oh how i forgot how it feels to be pregnant and feel guilty about everything

trix1 · 09/12/2005 20:34

Hello everyone, I cannot beleive I am pregnant - I have only done one test (a clearblue) and as I have no symptons at all I am finding it hard to beleive. At the same time I have been grinning from ear to ear today - I just wanted to say to everyone "im Pregant" I feel so luck after trying for 12 months after last m/c.

Hi Trix! Congratulations...

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 10/12/2005 09:07

Morning everyone!

How are we all today?

pucca · 10/12/2005 09:16

Morning NBG

Feel good this morn..well apart from feeling sick, and having mammoth sized sore boobs lol, but they are both good things after feeling sorry for myself yesterday

How are you?

Does anyone know when its likely to hear from midwife? i cant remember when it was with my 1st pg, and have heard nothing so far.

xx

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 10/12/2005 09:21

Glad to hear your ill

I rang my Dr's and I spoke to the Midwife on Thursday. She said they won't see me before I'm 8/9 weeks so I have an appt on the 4th January. She said they'll scan me between 10-12 weeks so even if I went on 12 weeks it will be the end of January at the worst.
I've been reading up on the 12 week scan and it says you can tell the sex of the baby then

pucca · 10/12/2005 09:25

NBG...I remember asking about the sex at my 12 wk scan with dd, and they said you couldnt tell that early, but that was 2.5 yrs ago (ish) be good if you could find out then

Have just thought i am sure i just got a letter from midwife last time for booking in appointment. The weird thing with my midwife is she seen to me all through 1st pg, but has never met dd, and even weirder ..she was my mums midwife when pg with me and even delivered me .

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 10/12/2005 09:33

Oh wow! I bet that was nice.

If they can tell me the sex I'll find out, if not I'll wait till the 20 week scan.
I was in a different hospital with dd and they wouldn't tell you the sex there so I ended up paying for a private one.

I remember seeing my midwife alot earlier aswell. Could you not call your Gp's and get them to get the Midwife to call you?

I've done the front room thing too Lockets

I think if I really did want a homebirth there would be no room anyway.

I've got the task of calling some builders on Monday. If we want to saty in this house we're going to have to extend as it's only a 2 bed. Am dreading the thought of having builders in whilst I'm pregnant with dd and a dog who thinks he's Houdini!

Lockets...14 wks omg!

Will prob ring doctors on Mon, as with 1st pg every appointment with midwife and check of my wee i had a urine infection, was on antibiotics for almost the whole pg, never had any symptoms though...so best i see her earlier than that to get it checked.

Yeah so if anyone wants a Beagle for a while...
We have been looking at other houses but tbh the area we live in is great, we have all the amenities you could ever need and we're really settled now. I think I'd be a bit disappointed to move not to mention doing it whilst pg.
Does your sister still have them in now and has she coped alright with them?

You do pick such lovely names though, I'm sure you'll find another one! magine if you have another girl, that would be so lovely.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 10/12/2005 10:16

Oh wow, a video. You lucky things!

Pucca, fingers crossed things will be ok this time round.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 10/12/2005 13:48

Well I have given in and bought some maternity wear

Got some great bargains though from Vertbaudet and La Redoute.

pucca · 10/12/2005 16:31

NBG...i am ok, i kept all my maternity stuff from having dd, and all is dtill fine to wear

Also have almost everything i need for the baby (which i guess Lockets will too)even kept a suitcase of neutral babygrows and vests, so i am well organised. Got the cot, moses basket...the lot.

I would hate to have to buy it all again, i.e like with 1st pg, cost a fortune lol.

How is everyone? xx

trix1 · 10/12/2005 21:06

Good evening everyone. Well I still cant believe that I am having a baby. After previous miscarriages I am not going to become obsessive (well not as much) by reading every day what stage I am at. Its hard though, I have a scan on the 21st worried that might be a bit early as I will just be 6 weeks then. How are you all getting on?

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 11/12/2005 13:01

Morning everyone!

Feeling a bit achey today and I think morning sickness maybe kicking in. I had a fried egg sandwich for brekkie today and I had to leave half of it as I started to gip! I went right off eggs when pg with dd too.

Trix, it must be quite reassuring that your having an early scan. I'm sure once you've been it will put your mind at rest.

I've been trying to convince dh that we are going to need a double buggy. He seems to think that dd is just going to be walking everywhere when the baby is born!
We're also considering moving again now. Dh has changed his mind against the extension which is a real shame as this area is so lovely.

What a nightmare!

Arabica · 11/12/2005 20:35

Hello ladies, I've had a lovely relaxing weekend. Horrible nausea yesterday morning, but hardly anything today. Still got the huge achey boob thing though. Went to a party this afternoon and felt enormous--nearly everyone else was size 10. Last time around I didn't need maternity clothes until about 18 wks, but if this pregnancy is OK I can see myself needing them much earlier!

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 11/12/2005 20:37

Glad your feeling better!

I just feel really bloated. My trousers are definatley tighter

kitegirl · 12/12/2005 07:20

morning ladies
feeling allright? me, nausea at a sight of cooked breakfast on sunday. craving sushi very badly.

spent the weekend with childless BIL & wife, us up at 7am and on the playground with ds and dog at 8am, them waking up at 10.30 am. Seems like a distant memory...

Topshop does maternity wear now, how good is that?
