Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lunavix · 30/12/2005 13:35

nbg I spent £60 on the next online sale too Lots of maternity bits there too!

I love the trackie bottoms I got in dotty p's, they don't look like maternity just a tiny bit roomier, so they will be perfect for the weeks when I'm getting too fat for my normal clothes but am not big enough to need maternity!

Arabica · 01/01/2006 00:44

Happy New Year! Great to be able to say, if all goes well, we shall be having babies THIS year, rather than NEXT year--makes it all seem a bit more real!
My new year's resolution--stop feeding the baby sugar. No more quality street for me. Nice fruit instead.

lunavix · 01/01/2006 19:26

my new years resolution is to stop feeling queasy!

Morning sickness has kicked in bigtime (minus the vomiting so I just feel ill) and I can't remember a time I didn't feel nauseaous

katylou25 · 01/01/2006 19:38

Also splashed out in Next sale some nice maternity jeans for me! I see the mw on Thurs for 1st appt then at about 9/10weeks she comes to house to do booking in appt then get 12 week scan 11rc form last time round. Still feeling really sick didnt have this with Ds just was sick and then felt fine not this constant nausea that ive go now.

Thanks for that lockets is nice to hear someone say small age gaps are good - Ds is going to be 18 months when baby comes!

katylou25 · 01/01/2006 19:39

snap lunavix!

lunavix · 01/01/2006 19:42

katylou - I feel the same, I didn't know I was pg with ds till 12 weeks I had a lot of pain (so bad they thought it was ectopic but I didn't think it was a 'baby' iyswim) but nothing else.

I feel so nauseaous this time that I can think of nothing else and everything is a strugle! I can bearly eat anything too. I'm sure if I'd had this last time I'd have known.

I did hear that if you didn't have morning sickness/nausea with a ds, if you have it bad the next time it'll be a dd... interesting!

KARASMUM · 01/01/2006 22:35

Hi Girls,

Can I join you too? Just found out I'm expecting Baby No. 2 middle/late August. Still to work out exact date. Still in shock (but absolutely delighted) as DD was through IVF and now pg naturally Like Kateylou DD is 11 months old and there will be a diff of 18 months.

Feeling ok - no sickness just tired.

Take care everyone,
Gailx

Arabica · 02/01/2006 08:43

Hi Karasmum and congratulations. How are you feeling?
I'm now 9+5 and really nervous as my m/c was at 9+6. Woke up scared that I didn't feel pregnant any more, but maybe that's just nerves. Having scan on Weds to hopefully put mind at rest.

trix1 · 02/01/2006 11:16

Happy New Year to all.

Congratulations Karasmum - i would have loved a small gap between ds1 and next child but it was not to be. How lovely pg naturally after IVF they say that happens Ive read a few stories where its happened. You are probably between 5 and eight weeks pregnant.

Arabica by Wednesday you should be able to put your worries behind you - try not to worry now I am sure it will all be fine.

trix1 · 02/01/2006 11:18

Oh have you seen the due in Sept O6 thread - it makes me feel a bit further along.

Nbg · 02/01/2006 12:46

Well Happy New Year to you all

Congratulations to Karasmum too

Glad to hear your feeling really sick Luna
All good signs!
My sickness isn't too bad and tbh I can avoid it so long as I eat regularly and don't do too much.

What has been bad is my back. It really really aches especially on a morning and I'm kicking myself because I was given a suport belt in my last pg, then when I had dd I gave it away!

The midwifes coming on Wednesday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she's going to be nice, unlike my last one!

Good luck with your Scan Arabica on wednesday

Well, I've got my just deserts for posting that I was symptom-free. I've been feeling awful all weekend. I fainted at a friend's house on Saturday, came round to vomit, then discovered on standing up (from the floor) that I'd wet myself into the bargain! Fortunately, the friend is only 12 weeks pregnant herself and was very sympathetic.

Due to a smacking incident involving MIL and my DS last week we left the PIL's sooner than planned. SIL is still in hospital with steroid-induced psychosis, but I think she's gradually getting better. Meanwhile, we're looking for a house to rent, and trying to get dd into a school (she's due to start next week). And all this, when all I can do is sit down and feel sorry for myself.

Must go to the doctor's and get myself booked in, then I might be able to provide a due date for the stats. Think I'm due mid-August, 13 or 14, which means a Bank HOliday baby for me

Clary · 03/01/2006 11:05

purpleturtle, what great news! Sorry, not been online much over Christmas, but just saw yr name at the top of this thread.
Congratulations and hope the New Year brings you a house and a job and all that you could want!
Clary xx

Clary · 03/01/2006 11:06

(sorry of course I don't mean the fainting etc was great news....)

Arabica · 03/01/2006 11:09

Wow purpleturtle, you sound like you have loads to cope with at the moment. Fainting sounds scary--have you ever fainted before?

Arabica · 03/01/2006 11:11

Am feeling a bit wobbly today becase am now 9+6, the same age the hospital estimates my last pregnancy got to before I had my missed m/c. Got a scan tomorrow, wish I was doing something interesting with DS today to take my mind off it, but am skint and it's raining.

Strike1 · 03/01/2006 12:32

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Purpleturtle, sorry to hear you had such a rough time over the weekend, I have to keep reminding myself that feeling dreadful is a good thing and should be welcomed!

I know what you mean about the stress levels going up around past m/c time Arabica, I'm 6+4 (well behind most of you lot!) and had a missed miscarriage that was dated around 7wks last time, so I'm getting a bit tense now. I have slight back ache which worries me, but I still feel sick and when I poke my boobs (which I seem to do hourly they still ache!

Welcome and Congratulations Karasmum, I hope you have a happy 8 months with us!

Strike1 · 03/01/2006 12:33

Oh, just thought I'd change my name back to it's pre Christmas form, never really got any snow to make snowballs out of anyway

Nbg · 03/01/2006 21:11

Purpleturtle

What a time of it! I really feel for you with the fainting. It was my party trick in my last pg, couldn't stop fainting. It is awful.
I hope you start to feel a bit better soon and wishing your sister a speedy recovery.

pucca · 04/01/2006 11:10

Arabica...Hope the scan goes well, thinking of you xxxx

rubles · 04/01/2006 11:39

Let us know how it goes Arabica. Were you at the Homerton?

babylily · 04/01/2006 12:39

Had my booking appointment with my midwife today. It's a bit weird as I did all this so recently (we lost our son at 15 weeks in the summer).
Got the date for my scan too - they tried to offer me the 6th Feb which was my boy's due date - needless to say I burst into tears at the thought of it. So now I have the scan on 2nd Feb when I'll be 12 weeks exactly. 4 weeks seems a long time to wait when I'm so stressed about what the scan might reveal this time.
On the up side (?) - I feel extremely sick and absolutely exhausted. I didnt feel like this in either of my previous pregnancies. The up side of it is that I haven't put on any weight yet and actually weigh a stone less than I did at my last booking appointment. I'm dying to start looking for maternity clothes and baby stuff again, but just too scared to tempt fate at the moment.
Roll on February...
babylily (7 +6)

rubles · 04/01/2006 12:52

Oh yes definitely, roll on February. I would give anything for a fast forward button on my life.
