Congratulations

aprilgirl · 21/12/2005 20:01

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 21/12/2005 20:10

My lmp was 8th nov and my EDD is 15th aug.

Have you tried one of the due date calculators?
There is a good one on the baby centre site.

lunavix · 21/12/2005 21:30

-waves- at nbg - I'm going to have to join you bidding on a doppler.

Phoned hospital to demand a scan -cough- but no luck lol My booking in appt is on 3rd Jan.. but we still have no idea of dates and won't get one till after the booking in, when she decides to make an apt for a scan! Grrrr! All I want is a date! and to make sure everything is okay of course.

And I'm eyeing up maternity clothes which is a bit pitiful as I'm probably all of a few weeks pg if that! But I've been baby obsessed since having ds (although we only officially started ttc in July) so all I can think is baby baby baby baby baby

I'm absolutely knacked though, I can't do anything after 6pm. And I haven't cleaned the house properly in three weeks how embarrassing please tell me someone else is as lazy as me!

I don't remember being this tired with ds but I didn't find out till I was 12 weeks... but dh swears I was, but I didn't have any cleaning to do as we were living with the ILs.

I haven't any sickness or anything, but I didn't with ds. I suffered with swelling, nausea at most food, indigestion and - I put on 5 stone!!!!! Argh.

pucca · 21/12/2005 22:07

Ok i am feeling better about the scan know...god damn these hormones like being on a rollercoaster

I am feeling MEGA MEGA sick so that is still good (kind of lol)

Welcome and congratulations to the newbies

NBG... Do the sickness bands help? i never thought of trying them with my last pg, so if you think they are helping i will give them a go

Arabica · 21/12/2005 22:08

Hi Aprilgirl and congratulations! My LMP was 26 Oct and I am due on 2 August.

pucca · 21/12/2005 22:08

Oooh forgot to say, i got my maternity notes through the post this morning and my 12 week scan for 1st Feb. Has anyone else got thier notes through?

carlychristmas · 21/12/2005 22:14

sorry hijack alert*
Aprilgirl huge congrats on your bfp hun xx

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 22/12/2005 09:41

Morning everyone.

Am quite emotional today. Think I'm just feeling sorry for myself as I feel so sick. I can't think about food at all. It's the ruin of me otherwise.

Pucca, I'm sure the bands help and for a matter of £3 it's a good investment!
I'm finding satsumas and rich tea biscuits are saving me atm too.
I just feel awful as I can't cook anything decent for dd as it makes me feel pukey.

Luna, Haven't checked e-bay yet. It finishes tonight but I can't see myself winning it for £30. You have your booking in appt day before mine. Am totally baby obsessed too. I keep looking at Mat clothes but stopping myself from buying cos I know I can get some bargains after xmas.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 22/12/2005 09:44

Still winning at £27

Snowballstrike · 22/12/2005 10:16

Morning, Welcome and hello Purpleturtle and Aprilgirl Congratulations!

Well I was woken up in the early hours with stomach cramps this morning, and it all feels a little tender today, but more wind like than anything else, and no bleeding so I'm trying not to think the worst. I really wanted to make it to 12 weeks without having an early scan, but my will power might fade and I might pay to get an early scan to put my mind at rest. 5wks today, so heading into week 6. It all seem like a really long way away!

rubles · 22/12/2005 10:49

I have had a bit of spotting. A bit yesterday, nothing overnight and I'm not sure about now, it's not much and it's dark brown, but still, it's not very comforting.
I'm not entirely surprised as I have been having remarkably few symptoms - I am taking dd to doctors this morning as she appears to have hand, foot and mouth disease so I might slip in at the end a request for an early scan. I'd like to know before I go to Paris at the weekend. I am wondering if I could get a last minute private scan.

I haven't had a chance to read through all the recent posts, but gather that Aprilgirl has finally got a bfp - congratulations! At last!

katylou25 · 22/12/2005 11:15

Can I join too! Have just had a bfp - bit of a shock a happy one i hasten to add! my ds is only just 11 months today and although we were planning another baby just not quite this soon. Have used baby centre calculater and got EDD of 23rd August!

Congratulations to everyone else. have been feeling sick and tired and it was my DH who kept saying last time you were like this you were pregnant that prompted me to do the test! Can't wait to see his face tonight!

Snowballstrike · 22/12/2005 11:24

Congratulations katylou25!

lunavix · 22/12/2005 12:57

fingers crossed rubles, hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

NBG (are you newbarnsleygirl??) I'm feeling rather emotional too - particularly towards dh! He's fairly surprised as later on in the pregnancy I usually start getting very anti-him (YOU DID THIS TO ME!!!)

I know what you mean about maternity clothes, I've bought one or two bits off ebay my theory being they looked lovely! I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy some in the next sale, it feels way too early but they don't have another major sale till july, which will be too late.

I might just leave all the tags on, keep the receipts and hope for the best.

I've realised I can't do ANYTHING in the evenings. When it gets to 6 I flake out and can't even get off the couch except to get to bed. So I've been very proactive today and cleaned the whole downstairs of the house! With three kids under three! Very impressive!

lunavix · 22/12/2005 12:58

oh and congrats katylou, I have no idea of my dates yet COS THEY WONT GIVE ME A SCAN!!! GRRR! but I'm hoping this is the right thread for me

rubles · 22/12/2005 15:20

Am really pleased that I have a scan booked for tomorrow at 9.15. Felt like a real timewaster at the doctors for asking for one, (why do I always feel like that with doctors??), so hopefully tomorrow's scan will be conclusive one way or the other. Having said that I will only be 6 weeks and 3 days, so it might be frustratingly too early.

purpleturtle · 22/12/2005 15:53

Glad you've got an appointment Rubles. You might be able to get one of those scan pictures with an 'X marks the spot' on it!

trix1 · 22/12/2005 20:12

Big welcomes to the new people - congratulations.

Good luck tomorrow Rubles - you might see a bit more in your scan picture than my black hole yesterday (im a week behind you)

Feeling really tired now just want to sleep in the afternoons and I am fit for nothing in the evenings - I have been going to bed at 8.00 everynight with my book. Im just off now.

We should do a list of all our names and due dates!

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 22/12/2005 23:37

Congratulations Katylou25

Luna, Yes tis Nbg, I went back to the meaning of the name for xmas.
I'm really teed off about the doppler. I put a max bid in at £34 in the end as I got a phone call just after I posted this morning asking me if I would take a lad out of secure to a new foster home in South London. I knew the auction ended at 10pm so I left my bid. The blummin thing went for £36 !
However that seller has another 5 on the go so I've bid on another that finishes in 2 days.

Well, I know I was moaning about my sickness but I think going on that job today has done me wonders. I've eaten like a total pig all day and not felt sick since before leaving the house!
Having said that I've only just got back (bloody M25 ) so I might pay for it in the morning!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Rubles. I hope you see lots

rubles · 23/12/2005 13:02

Thanks all for the well wishes.
I couldn't really make anything out, but apparently there was a heart beat. She started with an external scan and then had to do an internal scan and said that it was very small so she reckoned it was about 6 weeks 4 days as that is when you can start to see the heartbeat, which I would agree with as I put myself at 6 weeks 3 days. So that is all fine and dandy, I am obviously just having a different type of early pregnancy to last time with no painful boobs and very little sickness.

dd was there and went off wandering about the room for the internal. She went down to the action end and was peering with a screwed up nose really close saying 'oh dear! oh dear!'. (That at 19 months is her catch-all phrase for anything vaguely wrong.) I hope that is not going to be a memory that stays with her.

katylou25 · 23/12/2005 13:19

Excellent news ruples!

Am feeling really tired today - had a christmas night out with a couple of mums from playgroup yesterday, had to explain why i was avoiding the vino! and although was tucked up in bed by midnight am absolutely shattered today think ill be asleep by 7 tonight!
