SESthebrave · 17/09/2011 21:33

Rugby - how are you doing today?

Diege - hope you enjoyed your pedicure. Any sign of your boy moving position?

Star - hope the playdate worked out ok. Did you take something in the end? Not sure that I would have done tbh.

Hello tink, Smithy, Giraffe, Kayz, Moosy and anyone else lurking!

Symptoms have kicked in more today. Boobs getting more sore; really light headed this morning; didn't sleep well last night and am now really tired. The knicker checking has also kicked in too. Have had a few worrying moments but I guess that's going to happen. My motto has to be to take things a minute day at a time! Whenever I get the opportunity I'm just going to let the pace of life slow down and take it as easy as I can. I must go to bed in a minute but just watching Stephen Fry on Wossy.

HI Ses
was good timing, was literally about to shut down my work laptop for a week and thought I'd have a quick wagon check!

Good to hear symptoms are showing- its also understandable that you feel nervous. Can you plan in an early scan now either EPU or private to give you a focus point? Not sure if that is really helpful or not though :-S

Hope you get some rest over the weekend :)
x

SESthebrave · 17/09/2011 21:44

Thanks Giraffe :)
I actually have an outpatients appointment with gynae on Monday to follow up on mc tests. Hopefully they won't mind my latest news Hmm I plan to ask them about an early scan but if they can't help I know my GP will arrange one for about 8 weeks.

How are you? Any more spotting?
Sleep well!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 17/09/2011 22:09

Hi
that's good about appt. Least it feels less passive somehow when seeing someone.

Thx for asking. I think Im still pre AF. Spotting been on and off but suspect my mind is playing tricks with my body! And stopping it starting for real. Annoying as we are on hols from Monday!

:)

LaTourEiffel · 17/09/2011 22:49

Hey Ladies! Been some time, sorry about that :-)

Big Fat Congrats to Ses and Rugby, exciting times!

Diege - 30 weeks already! Seems only two minutes since your BFP.

Still working hard here, DS1 started school last week and is loving it. He's had a brilliant week and only one accident, which isn't bad going.

DS2 is doing OK, still BF, still not sleeping through the night, and not really talking all that much yet. But very lovely, affectionate and stubborn.

and slugs more Wine

GruffaloSoldier · 17/09/2011 23:01

Just a quick msg to say congratulations to both Ses and rugby! Great news. Sending sticky vibes! Very sleep deprived here so off to bed but will post properly again soon!

tinkbig · 18/09/2011 15:56

SES glad symptoms

Rugbylovingmum · 18/09/2011 21:30

Hi all,

I mentioned to DP that I felt a bit queasy again this morning and he suggested I POAS so, rather than tell him that I already knew, I did another test which was also positive. I expected him to panic a bit but he was just really pleased and said we would work the money stuff out - he is just brilliant Grin.

Ses - I hope the appt goes well tomorrow and you get a scan date sorted out asap. The symptoms must be reassuring.

Gruff -sorry for the sleep deprivation, I'll mix up a batch of brownies right away. I hate that feeling!

LaTour - glad your DS's are both doing well. How old is DS2 now?

Giraffe - hoping no news is good news! Enjoy the hols.

Diege - do you have lovely pretty feet now?

Tink - fingers crossed for some more orders this week.

SESthebrave · 18/09/2011 21:47

Oh Rugby, I'm so pleased for you. How wonderfully supportive your DP is :)
Have you had any more thoughts about dates? I'm still thinking your last AF could have been implantation from what you've said.

Hello LaTour and Gruff :)

Diege I have pedicure envy - although I've got some vouchers somewhere that DH gave me for Christmas that I haven't had time to use yet, so I guess there's time yet :-) Hope you enjoyed it, must feel good to get the weight off after running round after you're lot!

Rugby, DS2 is now 23 months Shock! There's part of me that happily sticks 2 fingers up to anyone that says I shouldn't be BF him still (and I get plenty of raised eyebrows) and another part that wishes he'd give up. I'd just like it to be on his terms I guess.

Hi Ses - lovely to 'see' you, big hugs to you x

Tink - still propping up the economy I see :-)

Rugbylovingmum · 18/09/2011 22:35

Hi Ses, I have thought about it a bit but I still have no idea. I vaguely remember AF arriving early last month but that's all I can remember Blush, no idea whether it was light enough to be implantation bleeding. I'm not usually so scatty but I've been so stressed out I haven't been thinking. I guess I'll give it a few weeks and then see a midwife.

LaTour - wow, 23 months has flown by. Some people just enjoy doing the raised eyebrow thing, just ignore them. Did DS1 self wean?

LaTourEiffel · 19/09/2011 09:05

Hi rugby, am so envious of you and sea doing it all again, had foreign how exciting it can be!

Ds1 speed the boob at about ten months, bit u did things differently with him. I'd exposed and bottle fed occasionally which ds2 would never accept and ds1 has formula from around 7 months as health visitor said I'd need to get him on that before I went back to work.

Knowing better / different this time I didn't introduce the formula, he just went without boob during the day. Its taken a lot of work to get him to drop his after nursery feed, now he just feds at bed time and overnight if he wakes.

I'm wondering if he's actually getting any though.

When he's poorly as he is now, it seems a god send that he still gets the benefits...though I could do with a full nights sleep. Its been over two years now!

LaTourEiffel · 19/09/2011 09:08

Lol, really should preview when using my phone:

Ses, not sea and forgotten not foreign!
Dropped not speed.
I not u.
Expressed not exposed.
Feeds not feds.

Blush
SESthebrave · 19/09/2011 09:35

LaTour - I bf DS until he was 21mo. When he first went to nursery, he practically ripped my top off me after I picked him up. He soon settled on feeds first thing in the morning and bedtime though. At 20mo he started mucking around at the morning feed and getting distracted, so we dropped the feed. A month later, he did the same with the bedtime feed.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I think your DS2 will show you he's ready to stop in his own time.

As for what other people think - stuff 'em! We all of us only ever do what we think is right for our individual child, given that child and our circumstances. Whether that be BF v FF, how long to BF, BLW v purees, SAHM v WOHM and the list goes on!

Right, I'll get off my soap box and head off to my post-mc gynae appointment now. Back later!

Kayzr · 19/09/2011 09:58

LaTour Its so so so good to hear from you!!! I think you should BF for as long as you and DS2 want too. Other people should mind their own business.

Rugby Yay for supportive DP!!!!!

Can I just mention how much more broody you are all making me?? GrinGrin

DP comes home today!!!! He should be home in time for the boys bedtime.

Hope everyone is well.

SESthebrave · 19/09/2011 10:59

Phew! I was really worried about the response I was going to get from the Dr at my outpatients appointment when I said I was pg. I thought I'd get a sigh or a few tuts at least but she was lovely. She said she was really pleased for me and remembered me from my ERPC(s?) and hoped it all works out well. She was positive about the tests that had been done on the last mc as she said they would never say everything was 100% ok and give a guarantee, but this was as near as it would get. She then suggested I popped down to the EPU to get an early scan booked and the EPU agreed to scan me at 6 weeks! So I have a scan booked for Tues 4th Oct :) it's the day my PILs arrive for a visit so I can just hope it's not bad news.

Dr also sent me to get my thyroid levels checked so I'm now waiting for that. They're currently seeing patient no19 and I'm no46!

OP posts:
SESthebrave · 19/09/2011 11:02

I might give up as apparently they've only seen 5 people for routine tests in the last 2hrs as there have been so many priority patients!

tinkbig · 19/09/2011 17:47

hi lovely ladies

finally received report from paedatricain confirming dd1 has motor dyspraxia
have finally told the teachers feels good as dh wanted me to wait till report came to tell them
teacher also told me that dd1 has motor skills practise every mon aft Grin

having gd day here
so chilly though and dark!!!

Diege · 21/09/2011 16:23

Hello! Good news on the report TINKS - you must feel you can move forward with it all not that you have something in writing.
SES, did you get your levels checked in the end? How are things going?
RUGBY, all sounds good to me! Has it sunk in yet for you and dp?
Great to hear from you LATOUR! Agree with others, nowt wrong with continuing bf for as long as you are both happy with it Smile I must admit that I was (until recently) always a little surprised when I saw older babies bf, but I think that says more about me than the people concerned Blush. We have a few extended bfeeders in toddler group (dcs are 2 and 3) and after the initial surprise, no-one bats an eyelid now. Pedicure was great thanks, though I have no-one to show my toes off with this horrible rain. Still, they do look lovely
Well any advice would be appreciated because for the first time in 5 pregnancies I have the dreaded spd that I have always read about and thanked my lucky stars that I don't have. Started last Friday (33 weeks) in left hand side in groin/top of inner thigh and ticks all the spd boxes symptom-wise. Last night I sat on birth ball with legs wide open, trying to get baby to turn, and this morning the pain has been unbearable Sad. I think it's only probably mild/moderate but really hope it's peeked after the ball business! Any advice appreciated if you're a fellow sufferer!

tinkbig · 21/09/2011 17:55

hi diege Grin

sorry for spd!! sounds horrid !!
i have never suffered so cant comment

have had agddayhere

delivered 87 betteware bks this morning
andpicked up 10 had and order Grin

Kayzr · 21/09/2011 18:36

Diege, I had SPD with DS2 and it was horrible. I was told to try and keep my legs as close together as possible. I would try to get an appointment to see a physio if possible.

I have about 10 days until ovulate. I am fed up of waiting already.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 21/09/2011 19:32

Quick one from me as on hols. Back to cd3 here. Spotting was, as expected pre AF.

Think DH secretly pleased he gets more months of GOFing!! Grin

Sorry for spd diege. Had it with the sg and wasn't great. Rest is probably best answer. Though I appreciate that isn't what you want to hear. I has some support bands which helped a bit. Also avoid pushing supermarket trollies as that was the worst thing for me..

Hi Kayz are we on track to be cycle buddies? I think I will be on track for testing 17th oct.

Better go. Byes for now xxx

Kayzr · 21/09/2011 20:44

Yeah Ginger we are. I'm on CD4 today. AF is due about the 15th October. It'll be nice to have a cycle buddy Grin
