ses - Grin at steps

diege - Grin all sounds good

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/11/2011 18:02

Glad all is sounding good Diege, didn't realise he was having some problems, what i get for just skimming the last 20 or so pages for the juiciest news :)

DD1 has now gone a whole week in knickers (daytime only) with no accidents!! I'm super proud!! I haven't even had to ask her 'do you need a wee' since last Monday!! We have even done a trip to Tesco and gone to my mums on Sunday too. :)

Got a 'child friendly' course tomorrow at the DC's school, part of being a governor, and MMM is looking after DD2 for me.

Just our bloody luck too- i was stirring some cheese sauce on the oven, and something dripped into it, i thought the pan next to it had spat while boiling, it happened again- looked up to see a tiny drip coming from the ceiling.... Went up to the bathroom and above the leak is the toilet, the pipe that puts the water from the cistern to the bowl is leaking :( we had this problem the winter before last, used some sealant instead of replacing toilet, sealant seems to have cracked :( can't afford a new loo till next year with xmas and re-paying my parents money we borrowed for buying the new car... so looks like we're buying some more sealant tomorrow as another fix-up job till summer hopefully. Was most gutted about having to re-make my cheese sauce tho Wink

Kayzr · 21/11/2011 19:49

Diege yay for scan!! I really hope all will be fine when he's next seen.

Cant bloody leak!! These things always happen near Xmas.

DP is home!!! GrinGrin

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/11/2011 20:16

leak was actually much more than a leak- been trying hard at my plumbing skills... all I need is for DH to get home then run to B&Q to get me a new part and it should be fixed... not good though :( otherwise I can't do much beyond that, but with lots of internet searching i think i know how to do it.... and for some reason i'm better at stuff like this than DH, he's always too scared to try in case he mucks up.

Have spent the last 2hrs trying to do as much as possible to sort it... but our wrench is broken and i can't find another one to fit the bit i need to unscrew... so think i need a new one of them. it's bloody awful that we can't flush the chain!

GingerbreadLatte · 22/11/2011 07:37

Morning all

Just a quick one to mark my place as I've not been on for a bit.

Back soon
x

cantmummyhaveabreak · 22/11/2011 10:51

I fixed the leak, repaired the toilet, had to take out the pipe between the cistern and the bowl, had to replace the rubber connector on the back of the bowl, but realised I need to replace the grouting between the bowl and the waste pipe- that wont be a clean job for sure!! But I'm gonna try and do it myself before calling in a plumber... I think If i can replace the part i did last night this is an easy taking out the old and putting in the new job, so i should be fine to do it myself. :) Quite impressed myself with my plumbing knowledge.

Got my child friendly course this afternoon, MMM is on her way to have DD2 for me. then we're off to Ikea tomorrow... I need some folding dining chairs, Nephews Xmas present, and potentially a few little bits while I'm there too. :)

Diege · 22/11/2011 12:18

Sounds like you're on top of things CANT! I have also attempted plumbing jobs over the years, with some success - def worth having a go as some things are as you say pretty obvious and you can save a lot of money that way. Bet you spend it all in Ikea Wink Samuel fine btw, nothing really to worry about - one of those things that was picked up at 36 wk scan I had for change in foetal movement. Without that we wouldn't have a clue there was an issue with the kidney as 20 wk scan where they normally see it was clear.
Hope everyone's ok - getting colder here and I'm starting to panic about xmas not that the dds' birthdays are over. Must get shopping!

warmandcosyhellokitty · 22/11/2011 12:21

cant - couldn't you eat sauce Wink lol
well done on sorting it out yourself !!
hope course goes ok

hi ginger hope all ok

warmandcosyhellokitty · 22/11/2011 12:23

hi diege just missed you there Wink

you will do fine with shopping for xmas get online girly Wink

bumpsnowjustplump · 22/11/2011 13:44

Afternoon all.. Hope you are well.

I have just been signed off by my mw at my day 10 check up. DD2 is a massive 9lb8.5oz now so has put on 7.5oz in 5 days. so the constant feeding is for a reason then Grin. She is feeding well every couple of hours and cluster feeding in the evenings, but I dont mind one little bit as she is so undemanding in every other way.

TMI alert. I am healing nicely but mw has warned me that the damage done is on a massive scale so I need to prepare myself for a long recovery. I am still suffering from continence problems and am still very constipated something that isnt helped by my pain killers so am taking lactulose at the moment yuck....

DD2 is a dream I cant believe how easy it is when they dont have reflux. She really does just feed, sleep, feed and sleep... She is still a night owl and I am super tired but no screaming and sickness is bliss.

I have her hearing test on Friday which I think will be fine and she has an ultra sound on her hips next month as well as a check up on her lungs. However I think she is absolutly fine and will be signed off on all levels.

DD1 and DS are wonderful with her, they cant do enough for her and it is always her they are dying to see (I would like a cuddle once in a while Grin). They both seem so grown up now I am so proud of them both.

I am so happy with everything and feel so contented and complete.... She really has bought calm and peace to our household and bonded us as a family. She is the best happy little accident I could ever have wished for..

lol as you all were hehe

smithylovesme · 22/11/2011 14:01

Hello all,
Been readng but not posting as has been all happening here Hmm

Glad to see you back cant good job with the plumbing, could be your new career choice, heard its good money :o Its great how you can learn just about anything from the internet.

Great news about the scans ses , rugby and diege Everyone is moving along nicely. Do you think you will find out the sex ses and rugby My Dh really wants to find out and i want a surprise.

kayz great news about the honeymoon, how is the sickness? What plans have you got for DPs home stay, how long is he back for?

tink sounds like betterware is going really well :)

Hi everyone else.

I have had two poorly sick children throwing up and diahorrea from DS trying to washing hands at every opportunity as i definately don't want that. My Sickness has finally started to ease a little (touch wood) haven't been sick for a few days but still feel nauseaous. Now my back is playing up, just on one side my back, hip, bum and all down my leg is agony especially when i am driving and have to move foot from gas to brake i am literally in tears. Went to docs this morning and advice was to take paracetamol and move about as much as possible, given a back care sheet and exercise sheet. Everytime i sneeze iam in pain :( Think i am afraid to throw up as i know its going to kill my back.

SES is there anything more i can take for the pain apart from paracetamol? Also is there anything i can take for trapped wind/bloatedness? In agony every night with that too.

If i ever mention pregnancy/babies again after this one please remind me of all this :)

On a good note i have my 12 wk scan tonight at 5.30. Once we get to see bean again and know everything is fine i can tell more people including the children who think i have just been ill for the past 4 weeks. DD1 won't sit by me at dinner in case i am sick, and i asked if i could have a sip of her water the other day and she said no i don't want to catch what you have, i said i don't think you can catch what i have well i hope not :o

smithylovesme · 22/11/2011 14:04

Bumps crossed post.

You sound so happy and content, glad DD2 is doing so well and settling into life with the family nicely. Ahhh i can see the beaming smile on your face as you wrote that.

warmandcosyhellokitty · 22/11/2011 15:37

bumps all sounds lovely Grin

smithy - good luck for scan today Grin
sorry for all the pain

Moosy · 22/11/2011 15:44

Ah Bumps, so happy that you're happy :) DD3 didn't have reflux and it was such a nice surprise not to have the screaming and puking, it's nice to have a 'normal' baby! You sound totally loved up with your completed family :o Glad the other 2 are being good too, it makes it so much easier doesn't it. Hope you're feeling better soon, is it tearing/stitches or is it more complicated?

Rugbylovingmum · 22/11/2011 16:07

Hi all,

Smithy - lol at DD1 'catching' your ms Grin. Sorry for everything else that is going on though. I'm shattered enough just with the ms and DD1 not sleeping well due to a cough, I can't imagine how tired you are with back pain and sicky DCs on top of that Sad. I have everything crossed that you have a great scan, the ultrasound somehow miraculously cures your backache and you arrive home to find everyone healthy and happy (if we are wishing for miracles I might as well throw in a gourmet dinner, hot bath and 9 hours sleep Grin)

Bumps - great to hear that DD2 is such a contented little angel and hooray for no reflux!!! You sound so happy.

Cant - you definitely have a future as a plumber, get to it woman you'll make a fortune Grin. I'm really glad things have been better with DP too.

Diege - you aren't allowed to panic about xmas until at least the 1st of December! I'm refusing to even consider xmas until I finish up at work on the 13th then I'm probably going to go into full melt down mode Wink. Glad the scan results were positive.

Tink -good to hear you are still getting lots of betterware orders.

Kayz - great honeymoon plans!

I had my 'handover' meeting with person who is going to take over my project today - I still have another 3 weeks to go but my supervisor wanted him to have time to think about it all and come back to me with questions. I have been quite stressed about it but it went fine and I finally feel as though I am on the home straight. Only 8 working days to go - hurray Grin.

Rugbylovingmum · 22/11/2011 16:12

PS - Smithy we will find out the sex if they can tell at the 20 week scan. I found out with DD and I really liked thinking/saying 'she' rather than 'it'. I really didn't miss the surprise of finding out at the birth but that may have been because I had the c-section, I was concentrating on staying calm during the op rather than taking in anything about DD.

GingerbreadLatte · 22/11/2011 19:40

Hello

Bumps- so pleased all is well following the worries in pregnancy and difficult birth. I have to admit that your post made me well up a bit not mention feeling a bit broody! I want to cuddle a newborn now! :)

Smithy. Glad the sickness has eased but the sick kids and back issues dont sound fun. You do sound like you are coping well though. Let us know about the scan. It's gone really fast!

Diege - glad the scan was ok. Thinking of little Sam makes me broody again! are you calling him Sam or Samuel?

Rugby- hi, hope hand over stuff goes well. Do you have date for your anomaly scan?

Hi Kayz, tink

Hi to anyone I missed.

smithylovesme · 22/11/2011 19:57

All well measured 11wks 5 days due date 7th June. Told the DC two girls were really excited and started kissing rubbing my tummy. DS has no idea showed them the scan picture and told Ds the baby was in my tummy, he is now saying its in his tummy Hmm Now time to celebrate with a hot water bottle and a glass of ribena :o

LebkuchenStars · 22/11/2011 20:33

Congrats on good scan Smithy - lovely reaction from your DC!
Yay for good kidney scan for Samuel Diege - sounds pretty positive.
Can't - liking your plumbing skills!
to everyone else Grin

Kayzr · 22/11/2011 21:19

Yay for scan Smithy!! It sounds like your girls are very excited.

Bumps your post makes life so sound perfect. I'm really pleased you're so happy. I cried while reading it. Blooming hormones Grin

Cant I shall be ringing you when I need a plumber!!

Star how is your DD doing?

I have now got full on heartburn. It's bloody horrible. 10 weeks tomorrow and it didn't stop with DS2 until I gave birth. So 30 weeks of downing gaviscon.

warmandcosyhellokitty · 23/11/2011 13:44

smithy Grin
great time to have a baby
my bday 5th of june

hi everyone else

quiet day here Grin

SESthebrave · 23/11/2011 16:00

Smithy - Congrats on your scan :)
I'm really sorry but there's nothing else I'd recommend other than paracetamol and a hot water bottle. If that's not enough, do go back to GP to see if they will agree to you having paracetamol & codeine or book you some physio. Really hope it eases for you.

Bumps - oh your post was just.... blub.....loverly :) Sounds like DD2 is doing spectacularly well and your little family have already been brought so much joy from having her.

Cant - at your plumbing skills! Not what you needed at all though. Really hope things settle down and sort themselves out for you.

Rugby - yay for 8 working days, or is that 7 now?!
Our next scan is 6th Jan and at the moment we're not going to find out the sex. That could all change though! Both DH and I are convinced it's another boy though!

Diege - really glad Samuel's scan went well :)

Ginger - how's things?

Kayz - sorry for heartburn already.

Hello Tink, Moosy and anyone else I've missed!

All ok here but I am a little bit achy most of the time around my knees, thighs and hips. Today it has developed into what feels like my right buttock is in permanent spasm Hmm I got my pilates spiky balls out earlier to see if that would help but it was too painful!

OP posts:
Kayzr · 23/11/2011 16:21

I got my scan date through today. It's the 7th December so 2 weeks today. I can't wait. I wish I could buy an ultrasound machine on eBay Grin

cantmummyhaveabreak · 23/11/2011 16:58

car has a problem :( it's a bad day again for DH :(

Yey for good scans, and positive new mummy vibes... brings a smile to a frowny face!!

Ikea wasn't so bad on the purse, I knew what I was going for... yes I spend lots on extra bits, but 2 things I went for were out of stock so i didn't go over my 'budget'... :)

Kayzr · 23/11/2011 20:42

Cant That sucks Sad I guess you can't fix cars like you can leaks?
