Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LittleBoxes · 02/07/2011 15:30

Hello, I think I'm going to be the latest casualty on this bus. Had some spotting yesterday (about two seconds after I last posted!) and went to my nearest hospital. They didn't have an EPU but did a scan in the general ultrasound department, results of which were 'inconclusive', so I had to go to the EPU at St Thomas' this morning for a follow-up scan. And there's a sac there, but nothing can be seen inside it. Given that I'm supposed to be 6+2, and I don't think it's possible that my dates are out, this is bad news I think. They are scanning me again a week on Tuesday, but I'm preparing myself for the worst. Still have sore boobs but no other symptoms - I suppose I just need to wait until I start bleeding properly Sad

This is really bad timing, too, because it's DD's birthday this week so I have a party to organise, plus the school summer fair to help out at on Saturday, parents' evening, a busy week at work, all sorts of general rubbish that means I don't have time to have a miscarriage Sad Sad Sad

Actually I don't feel that sad, just a bit bitter and angry. Tis not fair Angry

Not bitter against any of you lovely people though - wishing you all the best with it all and I'm going to hop off now.

Xavielli · 02/07/2011 15:31

Ugh, feel so ill today! Havent been able to get off the sofa other than to feed the kids and throw up. On the upside, this time next month we should all be starting to feel much better

Xavielli · 02/07/2011 15:38

Oh littleboxes! I'm so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

melliebobs · 02/07/2011 16:03

Oh my god what a day. At this point I would like to say my dh is an absolute superstar!

Saturdays are my day for doing things (washing, cleaning etc) but after it taking me almost half hour to hang a load of washing out due to several trips to dry heave in the toilet dh took over. He's cleaned the bathroom n got rid of the mould in the shower, cleaned the kitchen, living room and washed up and done 3 loads of washing. All the while telling me to stop crying, it's fine, this crapyness will only last a few weeks and that I'll have to force myself to go to work so I should just chill when I'm at home n not force myself to do anything Smile he even went the shop for me cos I really fancied some starburst!

Just wish this low level gippyness would bugger off! I was half wishing to be sick before just so I can ave half an hours relief!

OddEyes · 02/07/2011 16:28

Sad littleboxes, hope your busy week end up being a helpful distraction. Take it easy though, if you are miscarrying I remember it being so tiring. Let us know how your scan goes.

In bed again, but managed a museum trip this morning. Headache and nauseous.

Purpletoes · 02/07/2011 16:36

So sorry little I had my mc at sth and I have to say all the staff were really nice. Thinking of you.

rowanbirchpine · 02/07/2011 17:04

Dear all,
hope it is not too late to join the bus! I am a mumsnet newbie so do let me know if I do anything wrong! 8 weeks with my first baby, given a due date of 14th Feb, although not had any proper scans/check ups yet so keeping fingers crossed all still OK. Very sorry to read about the mcs above - truly awful.

No one ever told me that being pregnant would be so awful - sick, dizzy, exhausted, emotional and I still need to function like a human being at work :( It is reassuring to see I'm not alone in feeling terrible - haven't told anyone except my other half yet so feeling quite isolated here.

babycarmen · 02/07/2011 17:36

Little boxes stay strong, i had spotting and an empty sac at 5+6 and 2 weeks later (Wednesday) i got to see a little heartbeat so try stay positive hun, got fingers and toes crossed for you!

We had a nice picnic in the park today and got DD set up with a library card at the local library, now im home though, im SOO badly sunburnt its unreal - nobody told me you burn easier when pregnant!! I never burn, and it wasnt even THAT hot today, it was lovely and warm but not burning weather... :/ Owww its itchy :(

CoffeeOne · 02/07/2011 18:34

Hi everyone

Hug for Littleboxes - don't look, rowanbirch, hugs are not allowed on here Grin

I am, ahem, rather constipated and feel exactly like the people on those crap adverts "sluggish? Bloated? Poor digestive transit?".

Urgh.

Feel like poo (literally)

PamBeesly · 02/07/2011 18:44

Littleboxes I hope everything will be ok for you, thinking of you

Rowanbirchpine welcome wha a lovely name

Mistressploppy do you eat fruit and fibre? My GP recommended it because constipation is more difficult in pregnancy :( she also said that laxatives were ok, its best just to read the pack or ask the chemist

It was my first day of actually being sick, not just feeling sick, so I was recommended crystallised ginger....tip, do not actually bite the ginger, its awful, just suck it :( I wish I had known this before I ate into it.

PamBeesly · 02/07/2011 18:45

oh forgot to sign off 6+1

Tiredtrout · 02/07/2011 19:38

Fingers crossed for you little boxes. I started bleeding this morning while I was at work. I called the doc and I'm booked in for a scan again on Monday just hoping that my little bean hangs on. The bleeding seems to have pretty much gone so hopefully it was just one of those weird things Confused

Tiredtrout · 02/07/2011 19:40

I forgot to sign too 9+3

Well today has being a weird day for me symptom-wise... My sickness has just disappeared, it disappeared halfway through yesterday and hasn't come back. My boobs are less hard but more sore and TMI but i have terrible wind! My moods have being better too and my cramps have disappeared. I have being tireder than ever though!! Not sire what to think on all that!

My day has being glorious though I woke up at 7.30 this morning and tended to DSD, got DP up and went back to bed at 8, woke up at 11, went out to the dam and fed the ducks with DSD, spent the afternoon in a beer garden (with J20 Envy came back, had a nap for 2 hours work up at 7 and then put DSD to bed and now just on here! Sending good vibes to littleboxes and trout

Welcome rowanbirchpine

I've had an incredibly lazy day. Am now wearing seabands constantly after the Acupuncturist showed me exactly where to put them. Had my first acupuncture session yesterday. Seems to have helped slightly but still can't face eating anything. Am forcing myself though! Such a horrible feeling being hungry but at the same time feeling queasy at the thought of putting anything in my mouth Sad even my favourite foods!

2 more acupuncture sessions next week so we shall see. DH is being very patient with me!

Good luck to all those suffering.

phlossie · 02/07/2011 20:58

Hello. Hope you two with bleeding are ok - fingers crossed. Try and take it easy if you can.

rnbsmum - my children are R and B too! Great initials. I bought some hair stuff from Lush the other day called R&B just for that reason.

Having puked in a hedge yesterday, I've been really a bit more human today. Seem to have good days and bad days.

And those of you looking four months pregnant. Me too! I'm so bloated.

One more thing, we're thinking of going to Australia to spend Christmas with my sister - 30 weeks flying out, and 33 back. I'm 31, healthy and have had two uncomplicated pregnancies. Might be a nightmare though. Would you? The alternative would be going next year with a ten month old...

BillComptonstrousers · 02/07/2011 21:32

Big hugs littleboxes let us know asap x

Good lord phlossie you are brave! Think you can only fly long haul till 34 weeks anyway.

I'd be petrified somehting happened on the plane, but I'm a massive worrier anyway Grin

Would you not be uncomfortable on a 20 odd hour flight? Unless you were going first class of course!

OP posts:
LolaAnn · 02/07/2011 23:35

I seem to be the only one eating everything in sight - I'm getting enough calories for all of us okay so no one worry.

phlossie You will be fine flying to aus at that stage. I'm flying to New Zealand around the same time for 2 months (we are from NZ) and it's an even longer flight (just). I flew alot thru pregnancy last time and while some airlines will only allow you to fly till the end of your 7th month as long as you don't look like you're about to go into labour you will be fine. They key is to stay overly hydrated, even though it will mean an INSANE amount of bathroom trips. Definately do it now, it will be so much easier than with a 10mo! I'm dreading it with my will-then-be 19mo!!! xx

6+0! x

Crazybit · 02/07/2011 23:36

Littleboxes-fingers crossed that all is well and an early game of hide and seek is on. Can you ring in sick to work? at least have some time to rest.

Tiredtrout-Am thinking of you too, hope it was just a blip.

Phlossie-I'd do it, I'd love to be somewhere warm, with family over christmas, heavily pg so U'm not expected to do much Grin

Welcome Rowan-the first three months are the worst imo. Your body is going crazy and you can't tell anyone! Is there anyone close you can chat to? you've got us either way :)

Innocent-my boobs are less hard today, I really need to get a bigger bra sorted, had a bikini top on today as they're just spilling out.

Mistressploppy-I am so your namesake at the moment and quite fed up of it really, I think it may be the pg supplements I have been taking. Think I'm going to try a different brand. Maybe stating the obvious but have you made sure you're eating plenty of fibre and fruit etc? If you're taking pg supplements the iron may block you up a little.

Quite a lazy day here too, carnival in our town so strolled down there, stuffed our faces, came back, had a nap, tea, kids to bed, film and offto bed in a minute.

(I'm going to wait until I've had scan to sign off as it could be 7ish or 10ish)

LolaRennt · 03/07/2011 00:00

LIttleboxes, I hope it was just too early to see something! xx

louby86 · 03/07/2011 02:46

Thinking of you littleboxes hope it all works out ok

Thanks to all if you who gave me advice about my manager, particularly the acas stuff. I think it was the shock of it that wound me up the most, I'm a personnel manager myself so thought I'd be the last person to be treated wrongly when I know not to do that to others and have an understanding of the law! Oh well

Just got back from seeing take that for the second time this year! The adrenaline hasn't worn of yet hence the late posting! Off to see foo fighters sunday so better try and get some sleep in!

My sickness seems to be better today too, maybe because I've been so busy!

hermionejgranger · 03/07/2011 08:03

littleboxes and trout keeping fingers crossed for you both - hope things turn out ok...

rowan welcome to the bus :)

i'm feeling a bit ropey now actually. bloating (like others) which makes me feel enormous, nausea almost constantly unless I'm eating - but I don't really fancy anything to eat (other than things I don't have in the house), feeling hot and sweaty all the time and still trying to hide it - agree that it's a bit isolating. Keep telling myself it's all good! Have just read a thread about MMC and have scared myself though.

Sorry if I'm being a drama queen Blush I'm reading all the books etc and have "favourited" MN but stuff still all seems like a big surprise.

PDog · 03/07/2011 09:11

Morning all

Keeping everything crossed for you littleboxes and trout.

Hope you survived the family do bill and that you manage to eat today.

I'm all bunged up too mistressploppy, probably because the only thing I can stomach at the minute is carbs. i'm also very bloated - my clothes are starting to get tight already.

Very Envy louby but hope you have a fab time watching the foos.

The sun is shining here so we are taking DD for a picnic today - hoping I will be able to face eating something. Only managed a few mouthfuls of the tea DH cooked last night.

Hope you all have a fab Sunday and all our little beans stay stuck Smile

melliebobs · 03/07/2011 09:36

MOOOORRRRRNING!!

Well last night I got my first experience of being the social leper. Went out for a friends birthday so was on the lime n lemonade (what's wrong with that I dint know! I quite like it!) I thought I had the excuse I was driving but apparently I could 'have one bottle of beer' no i can't sod off! Also where we went was a beer and bourbon festival and was cowboy themed. Trying to explain why I was the only one that couldn't go in the sodding bucking bronco without looking like a bore was interesting Angry
