Xavielli · 27/07/2011 14:52

Thinking of you woowa hopefully you're watching your bean wriggle around right now!

I've just bought a Jane Powertwin! Bloody better be a baby in there now...

m1nn1em0u5e · 27/07/2011 15:43

Hi innocent, yes ive got Hyperemesis :( This is my 3rd pregnancy with it, but by far the worst....spending today in bed as im so wiped out.

clarinsgirl · 27/07/2011 15:55

Had my scan today and like woowa had a bad feeling that something would be wrong. But he's fine, bit wriggly but saw his heart beating and lots of limb waving. They confirmed my dates so 12+2 it is. Hope your news is as good Woowa.

4ever - can't imagine how you're feeling, I'm so sorry, just don't know what to say.

QueenFee · 27/07/2011 16:02

4ever so sorry x

Had my scan today and little bean is fine kicking and a nice strong heartbeat. Such a relief as I was convinced something was wrong.

I have great belief in some alternative therapies, especially osteopathy as it has helped me with a number of things.

QueenFee · 27/07/2011 16:04

Oh and they moved my date a few days so they say I am now 11 weeks. They always move me forward but I think I just have big babies!

QueenFee · 27/07/2011 16:06

X post clarin!

Xavielli I have the powertwin and have the matrix on the back so bubs can face me.

Xavielli · 27/07/2011 17:17

Just the one bean in there QF? Hehe! Does the matrix fit on the Powertwin?? I thought it was just the rebel, been bidding on them as I would really like bub to face me for a while (and be slightly protected from a swiping older brother!!)

Xavielli · 27/07/2011 17:21

P.s I have piles! Pregnancy is just one big barrel of laughs isn't it?!

11+2 ish

rnbsmum · 27/07/2011 18:12

4ever - am so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

Had our 12 week scan today and saw one wriggly, little baby. Really happy and relieved - it has been a long 12 weeks!!! our due date has been moved forward from 4th Feb to the 1st Feb so am now 13 weeks, woohoo!!!

Good luck to all for those upcoming scans.

13 today

babycarmen · 27/07/2011 18:51

Awful that there is still people leaving the bus :( Lovely to hear about scans though! :)
Loving the baby name talk, i might start that discussion with DP tonight see how far i get.. no doubt we wont agree though!
Havent been sick today but got really bad stomach cramps, when i eat as soon as the food hits my tummy it hurts :/

12+2

QueenFee · 27/07/2011 19:29

Xavielli yes just one! She rather assumptively said you will be glad to know grr no actually I would quite like twins!
Officially the matrix doesnt fit however I used it together fine theres a pic on my profile from last time. They sell it together abroad. If it is flat the front seat won't recline, I used to just sit Alfie up on the rare occasion I needed to recline it. If you want to see more pics I prob have some somewhere! The strata also fits if you have the pro version.

Yay for more wriggly beans!

Jeezimacasalinga · 27/07/2011 22:07

Hi ladies, I've only posted once as I felt a bit superstitious about everything but I have been following the thread as much as I can. So sorry for everyone who has had to leave the bus Sad, I hope you are all ok.

Congrats to all who've had scans recently, I had one too today and all seems ok, plus I've been moved on a bit so now due 21 Feb! Symptoms seem to be easing now a bit, fingers crossed as this has been the worst pregnancy of the 3 so far!

Sweet dreams everybody and roll on the second trimester!
10+1

woowa · 27/07/2011 22:11

What a lot of scans today! Were you in a hospital in the north east by any chance, where I arrived at 2.40 in PAIN in the bladder it was so full (i think i overdid the drinking), and had my scan at 3.40 because they were running so far behind. Imagine what a fun hour that was. The sonographer had a look and told me to go empty it half out! When i went back it was still too full. When i was out, she told DH she'd never seen a bladder so full.

Anyway, scan was lovely, thanks for the thoughts! It was asleep most of the time which was great for pictures, but woke up for a little jump about near the end, which was just as reassuring as the heart fluttering away. Still hasn't sunk in though yet. Was that baby really in me?!

Off to put a bid in on ebay now for a double pushchair - it's an offer so they could refuse. Tempting to just buy it now, but i might as well see if i can get a bit of money off. eek!

woowa · 27/07/2011 22:27

hmmm, offer was accepted within 1 minute! It's been relisted twice, so they must be desperate. I now own a double pushchair, just like that. DH will be thrilled (he thinks i buy too much stuff...)

Forgot to say that, despite what I said, they HAVE majorly moved my EDD! they reckon it's 31st Jan, but we know, to the hour, when it was conceived so we'll stick with 9th Feb, thanks and stay on the bus. Crazy. i heard lots of people coming out of their scans today having been brought forward, wonder what that was all about. Anyway, we won't let them induce until way after 9th feb, i think.

SO, i'm

13+1. ha

QueenFee · 27/07/2011 23:17

Ooh so what are you now an owner of? Glad you got yourself a bargain!

They always change my dates. They don't seem to take into account your size. I mean if your both over 6 foot then surely your baby is going to have a longer c2r measurement than a baby with 5ft parents or is that nothing to do with it?
Feels a bit bizarre to me anyway.

11 wks

Sugarkane · 27/07/2011 23:23

4ever I am so so sorry, please look after yourself.

Love the name Isla, nothing to do with DD being an Isla honest.

I had a Jane Powertwin pro with DD & DS and loved it was very sorry to see it go wish I hadnt sold it now didnt think Id need a double again??? Oh well Im going to try without one this time but im kind of adicted to pushchairs so only time will tell.

Not had my date for scan yet even though booking in was over a week ago, fingers crossed its comes in the post tomorrow.

Gooseysgirl · 28/07/2011 08:53

Hi all,
Glad to hear lots of scans are going well, but so sorry to read of losses..
I orginally got a booking appt for 23rd July (with only a few days notice!!) but couldn't make it as I was on hols. Still waiting for them to fit me in for a new appt, if I've not heard by the end of the week am going to phone them again.. am trying hard not to get frustrated! Have booked a private nuchal for 12 weeks just in case NHS can't fit me in til a few weeks later - am desperate to get it done to make sure all is well and so I can tell the rest of my friends our news. I've started tentatively looking at buggies etc online and am very taken with icandy peach but wow it is expensive!! But there seem to be great deals for them secondhand on ebay which is great..
Am very bloated at the moment, it's been such a job trying to throw people off the scent! Nausea not as bad as it was, still getting indigestion in the evenings, boobs also not as sore as they were in the beginning. We've also begun thinking about names - we're trying hard to avoid anything in the top 20 but it's difficult especially girls names as there are some gorgeous names on the list at the moment! Our boy name is easy as it will be named after both our dads who have sadly passed away.
Hope you're all keeping well, I will probably lurk without posting for the next few weeks until we've had our scan.
Love Ggirl xx

Gooseysgirl · 28/07/2011 08:57

Whoops almost forgot, 9+0

Sugar80 · 28/07/2011 09:05

I'm also getting impatient waiting for my scan. Had my booking appointment last Friday so been franticly checking the post every day!!

I've called in sick again today, and now I'm feeling a bit of a fraud. I was soooooo ill yesterday, worst MS by far. Couldn't keep anything down, including water, all day. Woke up this morning and started to get ready, but felt totally wiped out so gave up. However, 2 hours after a bit of toast I'm feeling a bit brighter... oh well. Easy day, then back in for Friday!

hermionejgranger · 28/07/2011 10:22

sugar i've called in sick too - had a very unsettled night and I'm knackered. It does feel a bit fraudulent but I figure I rarely take sick days (for some reason bugs always get me at the weekend!) so one day isn't going to make that much of a difference. Fortunately my boss is great and I told him quite early on when I started feeling yampy so he's quite OK with it. Going to watch the top 50 Harry Potter moments that I sky+'ed the other night and might have a bit of a dvd-fest afterwards. Daytime tv is shocking!

woowa lovely scan news and congrats on your pushchair purchase! We have a bunch of second hand stuff in the garage from my brother/cousin which has been there since before we started TTC so I'm working under the assumption that only newly purchased stuff falls into the "careful" category! Cousin is bringing a pram and a pushchair in a couple of weeks as well for us to look at - although it will all still stay in the garage - I'm not THAT confident!!

Ggirl oh the bloat! I'm not sure how much is bloat and how much is bump - it's getting firmer to the touch though. Have been outed by 2 people - and I'm terrible at lying to people's faces so have just quietly confirmed it and said it's a secret!

Hope everyone is keeping well! :)

Also in the at-home brigade today hermione and sugar. Hope you feel better soon and nothing you can do about it if you're zonked.

Not sickness for me - still only got nausea - but I'm so weak and keep having wobbly spells/seeing stars. Am currently lingering on the sofa. I saw the mw for booking in on tue and scan next tue and my b/p was the low end of normal but I will not be surprised if my bloods come back showing anaemia. We'll see - on a good multivit with iron as veggie but I think i look paler than usual.

mistressploppy · 28/07/2011 11:12

Hello everyone, I have a little worry and this seems the best place to voice it - sorry, TMI as well Blush

I sneezed earlier and, erm, got a bit wet. I didn't think my pelvic floor was THAT shot! Anyway it concerned me because it felt just like when my waters broke last time. I sniffed the, er, leak and it didn't smell of wee. Now I'm worried that something bad is happening.

Nothing has happened since, though, and that was at 8.30am.

It's probably the only time in my life I'll be praying that I have actually just peed myself Blush

Sorry to burden you all with that, I'm just panicking a little.

mistressploppy · 28/07/2011 11:12

Sorry, 11+3

Xavielli · 28/07/2011 11:31

Are you sure it wasn't just discharge? Sometimes (especially in the evening) mine is so heavy I have to run to the toilet as it feels period-like. (sorry!)

Also, sometimes it's hard to smell your own wee, and if you're drinking anywhere near as much water as I am it's unlikely to be very concentrated.

mistressploppy · 28/07/2011 11:46

It was so watery, but it could have been, I suppose.

Thank you for replying, it's so so helpful to have you lot to bounce these worries off Smile
