Morning Ladies!
Sorry to hear of those leaving bus. Test well and best wishes for the future.
Welcome to the new joiners too.
Husband is on the road to recovery finally and out of ITU.
I have a supersized bump, I look at least 6 months. Friends and random people all congratulating me, absolutely no hiding it. When I say I am only 9 weeks people laugh and say twins or more. Even my mum who is an OBGYN, although when I panicked she said that it was probably just because 3rd child and a large one at that. I asked if could just be boosting etc and she said no way as is a neat and compacted baby bump.
See midwife next week but no scan date yet.
Off to the zoo today, so best get moving.
9+3 (apparently prune sized)

louby86 · 16/07/2011 09:20

Morning all!

Glad your husband is out of ITU now oddeyes

I've got the dreaded inlaws staying this weekend as it's my SIL 30th birthday party tonight! So pissed off with them already! DH had to tell his lovely little brother (12 yo) to stop picking the dead skin of his dad's feet and throwing it on the sofa/floor. I thought he'd get a better respond than to be told by his dad that he's turned into a snob and it doesn't really matter because when the baby is here our 'beautiful' (obvs doesn't like our house) will be covered in shit, piss and chocolate!

DH has been called into work this morning and I'm left with them so I'm staying in bed out the way! I seriously can't handle them! It's like something off a bad tv show! Needless to say, they definitely won't be staying here again! They usually stay at SILs house but she's got a baby now so said she couldn't have them, I can see why! Never again!!!!!

Sorry, that's my rant over for the weekend!

Hope those of you that saw HP loved it and didn't have too many tears! For those that haven't yet don't punish yourself for not going, it'll be far more enjoyable when you're not feeling poorly/beyond tired.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

phlossie · 16/07/2011 10:47

Your in-laws sound like a nightmare, Louby.

I'm also hiding in bed. DH and the DCs are downstairs playing Top Trumps, and I feel a bit guilty that I'm not with them, but bed is so nice. And I'm working this afternoon.

Pinning all my hopes on when the nausea starts to ease off... We're going to France on Thursday (yay) on a ferry (boak). Hoping the motion sickness and morning sickness cancel each other out. Does it work like that.

Very good to hear that I'm not the only one with a big, fat pregnant belly!

BillComptonstrousers · 16/07/2011 14:52

Well I dragged my arse off to Harry Potter and was so glad I did, it was excellent! Very dark, very grown up, not a great deal of laughs, but I wasn't expecting many to be honest.

It was shot so well, really did credit to the book, unexpected weeping when snape faces Voldemort, and through all the other sad bits! Neville really stood out in this film for me, and professor McGonagal was just brilliant as always! Can't wait to see it again [hsmile]

I was in france last month phlossie love it so much, would live there if I could.

The upside of this week is that I'm actually eating again, only small meals but it's a start!

Hi also have plans for France. I seriously was tempted by the Next sale but could not see how to organise deliveries around out holiday. I have got some stuff from the Boden sale and am pondering whether I can eke out my current wardrobe with a few new tops...

I had a scan on thu and was dated 8 weeks 1 day which would put me at 22nd Feb. It was rather wonderful! with a tiny wriggly baby 2/3 of an inch long moving all its arms and legs limb buds, almost dancing. We could see the long curve of its spine as it turned. amazing!

woowa · 16/07/2011 19:52

oddeyes, what's boosting?

phlossie, I haven't had morning sickness but was ill all the way to france a couple of weeks ago. If you can, lie on the floor for the entire journey. You might feel a wally but you look sillier throwing up into a paperbag. I was ok lying down until DD threw up all over DH, so i moved and started vomiting too. Two angels looked after the 3 of us til we got to france!

Tip about sick bags, don't inhale with your face in them :) as it just sucks the bag onto your face and you get a whiff of the sick already there. Lift face out in order to breathe in enough to be sick again.

Sorry.

louby, my house hasn't been covered in poo or chocolate since DD's arrival (although some sick when bfing, but not masses!). We live in a bit of a tip, but i wouldn't say it's any dirtier now than before!

Earliest ever bed tonight I think, 7pm. Totally zonked after busyish day. Ate too much cake this afternoon too. Too much sugar = feeling sick. Cancelled out with roast lamb for tea.

20 teenagers coming for a bbq tomorrow so praying for sun - forecast says chucking it down. Not sure the house will fit them all!

Got to wear baggy clothes tomorrow for church otherwise 200 suspicious people will all guess at once. Last week I sat through the entire service looking very pale and wan, so I suspect there might be some lovely ladies who are already wondering. Want to hold off going public for another 11 days. Even the mini bump isn't reassuring me that it's still there!

Sorry, i've gone on a bit about nothing...

Opps! Silly iPhone and fat fingers make Bloating into boosting!

runaroundstartsnow · 16/07/2011 22:20

oddeyes glad to hear your Dh is improving.
I cant wait to see Harry Potter my 2 eldest DDs have already been and are not allowed to talk about it til i have been Wink
I have my Nuchal scan on Wednesday, quite possibly followed by a CVS straight after, i am totally kacking myself about it .

Rushyswife · 17/07/2011 09:28

Hiya!

Can I join the thread please?! I am 9+1 weeks today with first pregnancy and have due date of 17/18th Feb (not sure of cycle length!) I had an early scan at 6+4 weeks which showed a heartbeat so now desperate to get to 12 week scan to see if all is still ok.

Have had the odd bit of nausea and occasional puke but nothing entirely regular which makes me paranoid. Have had trouble sleeping though and boobs are def bigger and sore.

Hope everyone else is doing well and having a good weekend

phlossie · 17/07/2011 14:42

Thanks for the advice, woowa. Ugh. Sounds awful. We have a cabin booked, thank goodness - I get seasick anyway, so thought I'd need to be lying down - and will have our own toilet too!

The throwing up is definitely starting to ease off a bit. I'm still puking, but don't feel as awful all the time.

Hello Rushyswife!

8 weeks today! Not sure why it feels like a milestone, but it does. Midwife appointment tomorrow so then it'll all be real! Bit nervous, not sure why!

After feeling really good (almost normal) for two whole days, this morning I felt like I was coming down with the flu. Did all the usual - breakfast, shower, walked dogs, then went to do the horse. By the time I got back I could barely stand! Alternated between trying to do things and having to lie down all morning, had a sleep around 1pm and woke up feeling much better. I think I must have overdone it in my "normal" days, but it really shocked me to be so tired and weak!

foxylady123 · 17/07/2011 17:20

Hello ladies 8 +4 today. sugar i feel the same i woke up feeling a bit flu like with terrible ear ache even though i had 10 blissful hours sleep last night. Went for a lovely lunch with friends then popped to the shop am now sat at home just about keeping my eyes open and feeling like i have a massive hangover no alcohol has been consumed though!!!

Feeling it more this time though i suppose it's because i'm running round after 3 yr old DD. No sickness though, was really ill with DD from week 4.

Got MW app. on Fri quite excited but a bit nervous at the same time.

I went to see Harry Potter on Friday and loved it, i've read the books lots of times but found myself getting very tearful most the way through hormones are playing havoc am crying at anything [hsmile].

mrsrvc · 17/07/2011 19:20

Hi All,
Sorry to hear that some of you are feeling rotten. Hopefully the sickness will subside soon, and the flu symptons for you Sugar and Foxy.
Oddeyes, so glad to hear your dh is on the mend.
I am with all of you with obvious bumps. I am definitely looking pregnant, I saw a friend the other day who could barely keep her eyes of my "bump" she didn't ask, so I didn't say, but you could see her wondering why I wasn't mentioning the fact that I am clearly up the duff!
I've been feeling poorly and pretty sorry for myself. I have been flat out with work and ridiculously tired, but on friday I starting peeing bits of blood ( sorry tmi) so I trecked of to the doctors and I have a horrid UTI by the looks of it. So told to rest and take it easy and dose myself up with AB's. Feeling a bit better today having cancelled half the weekends plans and my dh took my ds to the outlaws for the day so I have been able to put my feet up.
I have my nuchal scan on Wed so keeping everything crossed for good news.

No nausea today! Woohooo Grin No appetite though, and very, very tiiiiiired. My hormones are all over the place, tried snatching the tin opener off DP because im impatient and silly, while making DDs lunch and ended up taking a chunk out my finger..then cried for half an hour because i felt so stupid. Oh dear.

BillComptonstrousers · 17/07/2011 20:28

Just typed a huge message then fucking mumsnet went offline and I lost it rraahaahhhhhhh as you can tell I'm in a vile mood and have been for days, being a first class bitch to DH, which is not like me at all, but I just can't seem to keep my mouth shut and be nice Sad

He pulled a big cats bums mouth at me last night because I said I might have the odd glass of wine in a few months time if it's a special occasion, he said 'are you sure you are allowed to do that? It really got my back up!

God I'm in a bad mood, sorry ladies!

still feeling a bit sick here at 11+5. living off a strange combination of foods including tarasamalata on crackers!
scan this Friday...a bit apprehensive because I had so many bfns before getting a bfp at nearly 3 weeks late...wondering if there is a reason for this.

Hi everyone. Had scan on Friday and all is good. Little bean was wriggling away. Showed I am actually bit further along, so 13+2 today. So due date is now 21st Jan, but also got told that because DD's birth was so traumatic, it's going to be a consultant led pregnancy, and will probably be another c-section, meaning delviery in 39th week, even earlier!

So am thinking I should probably jump ship and head over to the January bus now....aww

mummymccar · 18/07/2011 10:30

Congratulations MiaMama - glad all is well.

Been feeling awful all weekend. Very bad nausea and DP works with filthy lucre all day so has brought me home a nice fluey virus so head us pounding, blocked nose, temperature, and swollen glands. Glands are so swollen that I actually found a lump in my armpit. GP says all is well and that it is just caused by this virus but have to go back in a couple of weeks if still there - that's the last thing I need! Went to see HP yesterday; nearly collapsed in the street but it was worth it! Loved being able to blame my crying every 2 mins on hormones (though I would have been crying anyway!) my friend was also in the movie so had lots of fun pointing him out to DP!

Xavielli · 18/07/2011 11:51

Wow miamama! Must be so nice to not have so long to wait. Good luck on the January bus.

Have had a whole week vom free! Still feel like rubbish and have zero energy, but it's a vast improvement. Can now feel my uterus above my pubic bone which is reassuring. I must get on and book an appointment with the midwife.

Hope everyone is feeling ok!

10 weeks (ish)

Hello, just checking in, being lurking since i last posted... So much has being going on around me, not had chance for anything or any time to myself. Nothing much has changed - symptoms came back with a vengence, and even though i don't have an extremely pronounced bump (except water retention) there is a little solid bump there.

Had moments where i have being extremely protective over it - and it was fab the other day when DP spoke to my stomach, just going along with each day... Having a very emotional day today too. Cried at the news today after watching clips from race for life - i am so glad i didn't agree to do it, as i wouldn't have being able to walk for crying!!

I don't know if you will have all noticed this, but if you hear another young baby crying, you yearn to help it, to stop the crying and hold them. I was in tears the other day at work because there was a baby crying and the parents were seemingly doing nothing :( (they probably were but i was just in pieces to hear the cry.) A bit out of the bottom of my stomach drops and i swear my breasts swell like i want to feed too. I'm in pieces now just thinking about it I hope this doesn't sound stupid, just had to speak about it.

Sad to hear of those who have left us and happy that we have still got some newcomers. I hope you are all well and not feeling too nauseous - all the sickness cures i had before have stopped working so i just have to man up now lol!

Speak soon

xx
