Just had my booking in appointment :) The midwife was really nice but one of those ditzy busy busy busy types so it felt kind of rushed! Anyway GP has decided that my estimated due date is the 19th feb, not the 17th that all the due date calculators have given me. She also asked me if i'd had any thoughts of which hospital i'd like to have this baby at. She didn't paint a very good picture of one of them!

Just rung and booked my dating scan as well. 3rd August at 8:40. EXCITED!!!!!

Also just had 2 of those really dirty Herta hot dog sausages absolutly laced in tomato ketchup. It was DELISH!!!!!

Gooseysgirl · 15/07/2011 14:54

tired trout so sorry to hear of your loss :-(

I really feel for those of you suffering with hyperemesis - one of my best friends had a terrible time with it when she was expecting her dd, she had several hospital stays with it - she was very glad to get to the end of her pregnancy! I've had some nausea, some days worse than others, but thankfully no vomiting. I found since I stopped taking the ante-natal multivits that the nausea and constipation(sorry tmi!!) eased off a lot - just taking folic acid now on it's own. Had private scan done recently at just under 8 weeks - baby measured at 6+4 which ties in with my suspected late ovulation, sonographer was happy with scan, we got to hear the heartbeat which was amazing. Still waiting appointment with midwife, going to ring hospital today as I think I should have heard by now...

Hope everyone else doing ok... this is the longest 12 weeks of my life!

8+3 (7+2 according to sonographer!!)

CoffeeOne · 15/07/2011 16:02

melliebobs did you say you were from Lancashire? Want to give us a heads up which hospital to steer clear from?! :D

Today I am mostly tired tired tired!

hermionejgranger · 15/07/2011 16:17

Zen update on the loop excision thing - my MW said it's probably not a problem but she has done a consultant referral for me. She said they will write to me and if they think it's a problem they will have a look. She's also put me down for a GTT at 28 weeks (family type 2 diabetes).

Hope everyone else is doing OK - my nausea has turned to vomming unfortunately so I'm now must eating things which will be inoffensive on the way back up. Curry and bacon frazzles do not fall into that category, I have discovered (although why I thought it would be any different I have no clue).

hermionejgranger · 15/07/2011 16:18

sorry - i'm 8+4 I think...

melliebobs · 15/07/2011 16:37

coffee I'm in Preston so have a choice of Preston hospital or chorley and south ribble hospital. Preston is consultant lead and apparantly literally bursting at the seems. Chorley is a birthing centre run by the midwives however as there is no anaesthetist there's no epidurals available and once uve had it u leave in 4-6 hours. Midwife wasn't very positive about Preston!

CoffeeOne · 15/07/2011 16:45

Oh no, Preston is where I'll be going! Typical haha.

melliebobs · 15/07/2011 18:27

So where are you coffee?

I'm sure it's not as bad as they make out but when you hear stories of women having babies in car parks you begin to wonder!!?? I'm in 2 minds. The competitive stubborn side of me says chorley but I've got this little niggle thats going 'what if I wimp out and I'm not as tough as I think?'

BillComptonstrousers · 15/07/2011 18:43

Someone make me get out of bed! Supposed to go see Harry Potter in an hour but cannot be arsed. Totally gutted I feel so rubbish as we have a few of us that always go on the first night with the children, and it's the last one and I want to enjoy it!

Thanks shipsladyg - I had a better day yesterday where #s 1 and 2 played pretty well together for a little while which gives me hope!

Sorry to hear your news tired trout. x

My tummy is massive atm - I guess it's bloating, but it's already noticeable which is amusing! Maybe I should do some pilates too!

sarahken · 15/07/2011 19:15

donnam82- I bought a load of maternity wear from the next sale. Its all half price and they go up to a 20 I think. Some tops £6 and cardigans £8. Starts in store and online for public tomorrow.

Tiredtrout sorry to hear of your loss hun :(

Finally got my scan date for the 28th July when I'll be 13+2.

Starting to get real now as I can feel it like an orange above me public bone- feels like its properly popped above it now.

11+3 :)

CoffeeOne · 15/07/2011 19:38

mellie also Preston, well Ashton! We might be next to each other on the maternity ward! haha. I'm trying to stay ambiguous about my identity on here so I can freely rant and rave without colleagues/family realising it's me!

I'm a complete wuss and it's doubtful we'd go for a midwife led unit. I'm pretty sure I'll want the drugs! hah. In other new got my booking in appointment through, 3rd August, woo!

melliebobs · 15/07/2011 20:29

ah just up the road. I'm in Penwortham so not technically Preston.

no one i know goes on here. Or at least i dont think so! So can have a good rant about work etc etc! 3rd august is my scan day up in Chorley :)

babycarmen · 15/07/2011 20:34

Hellooo :) Not been on here for a week or 2!
Everything is going on, nausea turned to vomiting at the beginning of the week which was just awful, but its subsiding now and the nausea is def easing off, not there ALL day anymore woohoo!
Got my bloods etc taken from the midwife on wednesday and got my 12 week scan a week on monday! exciteeeeed!!

Got a little bump on the go, my neighbour asked if i was expecting! Getting very tired and needing naps but generally feeling a lot better with everything now :)

woowa · 15/07/2011 20:39

Evening all. Got my 12 week scan letter today. i'll be having it on 27th July, when I'll be exactly 12 weeks, will be interesting to see what they date me as.

I've got two dear friends who've been ttc and miscarrying and BOTH had a scan yesterday, one 12 week, and one 7 week. All looks healthy. SO excited for both of them. The 7 weeker is due on 29th FEbruary :-) They never come on their due date though do they?

Somehow found the energy to play (very gentle amateur) badminton AND cut the grass today. I'm finding that the more i sit about the more tired I am, and the more I exercise, the better - up to a certain point, of course! Still in bed by 8pm though :)

Can't wait for scan... doing IVF adds about 2 months onto the beginning of the pregnancy (well, not actually, but it FEELS like it), so i really do feel like it's been forever. 12 days and counting!

woowa · 15/07/2011 20:42

I am also sticking out in the belly area babycarmen, i'm amazed no-one said anything today, all my baggy tops were in the wash so I looked v pregnant!! Perhaps the people I know are all more subtle. And my neighbour who I was chatting with over the garden fence didn't seem to notice my top button was open on jeans!! oops

um...

10+2 I think

RoganJosh · 15/07/2011 21:19

woowa I just had that with a neighbour earlier this evening. It was only when she'd gone that I realised my jeans had been half undone the whole time she was here!

tumblebug · 15/07/2011 21:36

Thought I'd pop back to say hi! Have been trying to catch up on everyone's news. So sorry to those who've left the bus, hope you join another bus soon. Congratulations everyone who has seen their wriggly babies on their scans, and everyone feeling rotten hope you feel better soon.

Been so busy with DS, work and family visiting, and finally getting the house on the market, haven't had much time to think about being pregnant. Fortunately not feeling too bad - a bit of nausea and very tired - although worrying that I should feel worse. Last pregnancy wasn't too bad at this stage either though.

Had a clinic appointment this week (due to thyroid problem), they were already discussing delivery choices. I had an emergency caesarian last time so apparently will be offered an elective section if I want, but they would recommend try VBAC. Apparently 72-76% chance of successful vaginal delivery - sounds very high? I can't really think about it yet - until I've had a scan can't believe that there's really a baby in there.

tumblebug · 15/07/2011 21:39

nearly forgot, 7+6

QueenFee · 15/07/2011 23:07

A friends dad who I see regularly at toddlers patted my 'bump' today and asked if I was pregnant Shock guess it's obvious then even though i'm only...

9 weeks!

ITryToBeZenBut · 16/07/2011 07:37

hermione thanks for the update and really good to hear shouldn't be prob and they're looking fter you.Smile

I've got an obvious bump. Tried on my swimsuit yesterday as I'm going to go to aqua aerobics today and I was really quite surprised. My OH says I need to buy some long tops for work. I tried on ll my work shirts lst week and now only hve 2 that fasten over my boobs. Shock

Hope everyone is well or getting lots of r&r if feeling unwell.

ITryToBeZenBut · 16/07/2011 07:41

bill how re you today? Did you make it to Harry Potter?

My OH was trying to get me to go but I felt too ill as well. Thought i'd wait til a moment when I'd enjoy it. You shouldn't be hard on yourself if you didn't make it. You can't help how you feel.

hermionejgranger · 16/07/2011 08:59

ooh yes bill did you manage to get there? was it better than the last one? I'm thinking the same as Zen - will have to wait til I feel a bit less yampy before I go - and I am anticipating huuuuge amounts of blubbing as well!

Zen I'm glad too that it's not as much of a panic as I had thought! One less thing to obsess about!

Got my scan date through today - it's 9 August so I will be 12+1 (supposedly - no doubt they will correct me!). I'll find the stats thread and update it.

Hope all the sickies are having deep breaths of nice fresh air and some dry crackers (or salmon sandwiches) - it's the weekend and I'm planning on staying on the sofa all day watching Murder She Wrote and possibly some movies. Might manage the ironing if I feel so inclined. x
