littlemonkeybix - I'm just going to get some bella bands from Mothercare (2 for £10) and get my mum-in-law to make some sort of elasticated fastener for my pants. Or that's the idea anyhoo - if my bum doesn't get any bigger.

All maternity wear that I've found for an 18-20 is far too expensive for me. It's like they double the price of everything as soon as they put 'maternity' in the title Hmm

melliebobs · 14/07/2011 17:36

blimey this thread moves FAST! Hi guys, hope we're all good and sicky free! Had a mahoosive argument with DH on Tuesday night about Nursery's for when i have to go back to work. There's one opening at the end of our street so dh had emailed to enquire, talk about jumping the gun as i haven't even had a booking in appointment yet! But he basically said to me i have to go back to work full time 5 days a week. Not what i had planned at all. Several tears later (all mine) and we haven't got anywhere with that topic of conversation!

Been looking at loadsa cutsie baby clothes online. My kid is going to live in stripes for the first 6 months of it's life. Decided!

Aaaaaand i finally have my first midwife appointment tommorow where i will be 9weeks! Finally i'll be in the system!

QueenFee · 14/07/2011 19:33

Mellie I love stripy clothes on my kids :)
Hope you can reach a compromise re working. It is amazing what you can do without sometimes.

Rogan going from 2 to 3 was a doddle for me. I can honestly say ds2 just fit in and we just got on with it. Mine were 3 and 5 (just) when he was born. I wonder if no 4 will be my undoing.

I have caved and am wearing matty trousers and I am so glad I did I feel more comfy and less sick. Highly recommend new looks skinny maternity jeans. Look great and sooo comfy and at £15.99 not a bad price. Seriously tempted to go back for the bootcut ones.

QueenFee · 14/07/2011 19:34

Oh and keep your eye on ebay for bargains!

mistressploppy · 14/07/2011 20:06

Hi everyone!

Monkeybix - I found that maternity wear came up really big so you might find some 16-18 stuff in Next or Dorothy Perkins, I got some good things from those two last time around (I'm a tall 16-18)

New Look are quite good too. None of it is desperately stylish though...

Xavielli · 14/07/2011 20:12

I found 3 pairs of maternity jeans on eBay for £6! Bargain!

QueenFee · 14/07/2011 22:43

nice bargain!

I can't remember who was asking but my friend with the Ford Ka, she could fit the wheels of the buzz in the boot if she took off the parcel self and she used to keep the seat bit on the backseat.

Tiredtrout · 15/07/2011 02:14

Hi everyone, I'm sorry to say that you will need to stop the bus and let me off. I had a miscarriage yesterday so unfortunately bean is no more.

I hope you all have lovely healthy pregnancies and beautiful babies cone February xxxx

ineedtooffload · 15/07/2011 02:20

hermionejgranger · 15/07/2011 08:05

so sorry to hear your news tiredtrout - look after yourself x :(

Xavielli · 15/07/2011 08:28

So sorry to hear that Tiredtrout.

CoffeeOne · 15/07/2011 08:34

Tiredtrout- so so sorry :( x

melliebobs - sorry about you and DH, it's such a difficult subject. We've been worried about money. I've been very clear with my DP since before little baby existed that I will not be going back to work full time for at least a couple of years. If it means we're skint, so be it. Nurseries are so expensive anyway! I doubt we'll be much worse off.

Re the Ford Ka - Buzz pram issue, I have a Ka and my godson has a Buzz, it fits in my boot at a push! I don't plan on getting a new car I'm sure we'll manage :)

madeindevon2 · 15/07/2011 09:04

I think I will be 9 week tomorrow. Have booked private scan for various reasons! including not sure when will get Nhs one As not been seen by mw yet even.
Really can't wait for the reassurance of seeing on screen having had ectopic and mc previously.
might be told dates re wrong as no idea of cycle as had coil out few months ago and cycle all over place!
Also decided no more dc last year and sold all baby stuff?! Now gonna have to get it all again. Nearly new sales and eBay here I come?!

madeindevon2 · 15/07/2011 09:18

So sry tired out

claricestar · 15/07/2011 09:51

sorry to hear your news Tiredtrout x

Thankyou to the people who have said that going from 2 to 3 is easier than 1 to 2. I needed to hear that. especially as I have been told i am going to struggle by a mother of 1 tiny baby!!!

11 + 3

phlossie · 15/07/2011 10:01

Sad news tiredtrout - actually made me cry... (I am very emotional!) Look after yourself x

I'm wearing maternity leggings. Also, got a couple of maternity bras from Mothercare, and they feel amazing. My boob increase is much more dramatic this time than with the other two. Weird.

I won't be having Downs screening. I wouldn't have a termination for Downs, so there wouldn't be any point - it would only make me worry.

Envy at the losing 1/2 stone! I've been really sick and piled it on because the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating... constantly!

Midwife on Monday. I'm looking forward to getting my scan date.

9 weeks today!

phlossie · 15/07/2011 10:03

I've heard that about going from 2 to 3 and I'm counting on it being true - 1 to 2 was hard! But I did have a small age gap and my beautiful, wonderful DD was the baby from hell!!!

Purpletoes · 15/07/2011 10:09

So sorry trout take care of yourself.

Had midwife appointment this week all wet good now have my orange notes so feeling like this is real now! Grin didn't make it to my booking appointment last time. Sad

Heading to Ireland for a week next week so will tell parents when home.
Slowly getting excited.

I am 10+1 today.

QueenFee · 15/07/2011 12:51

Oh trout i'm so sorry :(

lilyrose123 · 15/07/2011 13:14

trout so sorry wish you luck in the future

I never felt this way when pregnant with dd
but feel rotten when ill and worried when not, never even worried this much with first pregnancy???
today is really bad :( dr at work has had to see me AGAIN :(
now on buccastem which dissolves on gum since cannot keep even sips water down, blood pressure low, dehydrated as not peeing :(
gynae registrar said i have to get some fluids in today or might need to come in for few days for drip :0(
counting down the days and hours til 12 weeks there must be light at the end of this dark tunnel???

Sugar80 · 15/07/2011 13:15

Sorry to hear your news Tiredtrout.

I made it through lunch yesterday surprisingly well! The sickness seems to be easing... I feel okay today too. This is either a temporary lull, or due to the new multi-vits I've started taking that include B6 (apparently it's meant to help). Either way I'm making the most of it!!

Oh, 7+5

lilyrose123 · 15/07/2011 13:15

sorry realised three unhappy faces in that post!
and forgot....... 8+3

Sugar80 · 15/07/2011 13:25

Sorry lilyrose - my post clashed with yours, and the last thing you probably want to read is someone being smug about not feeling ill! Really hope you're feeling better soon.

louby86 · 15/07/2011 13:39

So sorry tiredtrout hopefully you'll be on another bus soon.

lilyrose have a look for the hyperemesis support thread, I've joined that one because I've been similar to you with my symptoms, got the same meds and you from my GP and another one and keep testing ketones for dehydration. The thread has been a massive support for me as one of the members has set up a website that's full of amazing advice and I've actually been able to keep food down since following it. Hope your not getting too down with it, I really know how it makes you feel!

Got my scan date through today, 1st August, will add it to the stats board in a bit!

9 weeks today!
