Millie - that's the best laugh I've had all day!Grin Thank you.
Pregnancy/Mummy brain here too.

DonnaM82 · 13/07/2011 19:15

I'm hibernating in the house till I am no longer an emotional wreck. The slightest thing is making me cry. Tonight it was that I struggled to eat my evening meal. Earlier today it was a documentary and that my two cats were snuggled up together and looked really cute.

Thankfully, as a mature student, I don't have to go back to Uni till Sept. I don't know how I could cope with this (especially now the m/s has hit with a vengance) if I were still working.

Happy Days. When the MW weighed me yesterday the scales showed me about 7lb down on normal weight, even with clothes on (usually naked on scales, of course). I thought they must be wildy inaccurate, so weighed myself on my usual ones today, and it was right!! Even though no morning sickness at all, because my appetite has gone right off loads of things, i've lost more weight than i could normally hope to lose with much hard work. yay for pregnancy!! Will make it easier on my feet when I put 2 stone on over the next two trimesters! At 38 weeks last time I could barely walk my feet were so bad.

So now i'm vegging on the sofa pigging out. Probably not the right reaction :) Maybe i'll have a Wine instead Shock

woowa · 13/07/2011 19:25

millie what was the cake like when it came out of the oven? Or did you realise before it went in and manage to incorporate them?

umm....10 weeks!

ITryToBeZenBut · 13/07/2011 19:49

Hmmm - might go see my doc tomorrow am as not yet been contacted by the midwife team. I've been having a very sharp pain on my right lower abdomen this pm with a burning sensation. Feels different to the usual cramps I've had and I'm guessing from my book could be the ligament pain but it's a really isolated pain in one spot.Confused.

I'll see if it goes away overnight.

Millie - that made me laugh.

Xavielli · 13/07/2011 20:15

Zen That sounds exactly like ligament pain to me. I'd describe it as feeling like someone striking a match just above my pubic bone. Any movement can cause it. Pregnancy hurts, they should really warn people about that before hand....

Had another lovely vom free day today, found out that a good friend of mine who is a midwife and has been ttc for over 5 years is due a month before me! So pleased for her and was worrying about telling her I am expecting number 4.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 13/07/2011 20:26

Thanks for the yoga info Zen, laying off the abs & twists sounds sensible to me. Looking forward to seeing how long I can do chaturanga for until the bump starts getting in the way Grin

I'm going to an info session at the hospital tomorrow where they go through all the screening processes for Downs etc. They seem to be good at giving you all the info and then leaving it up to you whether you have it or not. Being 37 (and nearly 38 at that!) I'll be having the screening tests - I'm already convinced my baby has Downs as well as a host of other things, if they can knock it on the head at 12 weeks then all the better - if not then I suppose it gives me time to get my head around it... Confused

Also having the sleeping problem - waking up at silly o'clock every morning, not for the loo & not because I'm feeling sick. It's really annoying!

latetothisbabymalarkey, when i first read your post i thought you meant if they can knock the baby on the head at 12 weeks...then i realised you meant your fears! Yes, we all think our baby has everything wrong with it until the scan, and then the fears creep back in until it's born and all is (normally) well.

Bored now, so off to bed, although i found i slept much better last night for going to bed later!! Maybe i'm just going to bed too soon because I feel so rubbish, and my body doesn't actually want this much sleep, hence the waking. That, or, it's just the start of another 2-year long round of sleeplessness. Will I ever get used to being a mum? I love every part of it except the lack of lie-ins, EVER!

Flower82 · 13/07/2011 21:52

Millie at least you remembered the bananas!

I'm starting to have all sorts of worries now. I'm not yet feeling as sick as last time which makes me feel like I'm not 'properly' pregnant. I've also had a feeling just like a stitch in my right side. Getting worried about ectopic etc. Really don't want to turn up to a scan and see nothing, been looking forward to being pregnant again for so long!

Sorry all, wobble over! Hope everyone else is having happy, emotionally well balanced, vom free day!

Really worried today. Woken up without nausea and easily able to eat. Was throwing up everywhere on Mon and Tues and better yesterday. I'm so scared it's like what happened in Feb when I miscarried. Can't believe I actually want to throw up.

Sad
Sugar80 · 14/07/2011 07:18

WicketKeeper, I'm having good days and bad days. Felt rough all weekend, was absolutely fine on Monday, then really sick again for the rest of the week. Hopefully all is okay.

My challenge today is taking a client to lunch. The MD of my biggest client at that. Accompanied by my MD. I need to smile and make polite chit chat while eating. I already feel sick. This could be interesting....

Morning everyone! I had an early scan yesterday which showed everything all where it should be and the right size, so I might start getting my head around this. Having said that, I'm now even more worried about whether we will cope with 3. I am so, so tired that I am barely coping with 2.
WicketKeeper I'm sure everything is fine, I bet you're puking again by tomorrow :)

Flower82 I felt a lot less sick with #2 than #1. Also you're meant to feel more sick with girls? Would that fit?

ITryToBeZenBut · 14/07/2011 08:32

Thanks xavielli - I've slept on it and it doesn't really feel like anything to worry about - it just hurts as you say Grin There are so many things about early pregnancy that have surprised me.

late with you on chaturanga Wink I am going to miss it but I reckon we'll get super strong arms with that extra weight to push up.

Hope everyone is well. Lovely morning in London.

shipsladyg · 14/07/2011 08:45

RoganJosh - I hear the jump from 2 DCs to 3 is easier than 1 to 2. Well - unless you're not the primary care giver. It took my friend's DH 4 months before he could get his head around getting his three DCs (all under 3) out of the house on his own.

Yup - I get the good days and bad days and I curse each with equal measure. One for making me physically ill and the other for worrying me! This too will pass....

gonerogue · 14/07/2011 09:11

Wicket I am like that too - I get one day on, one day off. I hope you are ok and will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Well DD has picked up something in creche which she has now passed to me - so I am in work feeling like rubbish and wishing I was home. I may well leave early.

I took off yesterday to bring DD to the doctor to get somethign for her cough as it's been bad for a while now - and I felt like a terrible mother. The doctor was asking how she was during the day and I said - "well the nursery staff said she does cough quite a bit". The doctor's response "Hmm so you don't know then..." I know it was prob just hormones but I could have cried.

Sugar hope you manage to get through lunch ok. SOudns like one fo Dantes circles of hell from where i am standing at the mo.

littlemonkeybix · 14/07/2011 11:11

Yoghurt is helping Smile queasiness subsiding!

miamama09 · 14/07/2011 11:18

DonnaM I know how you feel, I was crying this morning for no particular reason, just that I didn't feel well and was so tired!

I have so much going on at the minute, outside of pregnancy, that I need to organise, appointments left right and centre, plus working full time, it seems never ending! Work are gonig to hate me!

Scan tomorrow morning, woohoo! Cannot get MN to work on my crappy phone for some reason, so will have to wait until next week to post any news! grr

wompoopigeon · 14/07/2011 12:28

hello everyone
Just wanted to say to anyone with big tits that are already giving them gip that I bought one of these Bravissimo pyjama tops and it is so comfortable at night. Really soft fabric too. I bought it huge and intend to wear it all the way through. I also invested in a new properly fitted bra and my god, what a difference to the way I feel. Last time I went from 32F to 38K, and then back down again, it was a total nightmare. I've already reached 36G - amazed no-one at work has noticed, it's far more obvious than my bump.

Morning everyone, hope you're not feeling too sick!

I (unfortunately) don't have massive tits, I wasn't blessed in that department so I'm still looking forward to a growth spurt! Grin

Had a vom free day yesterday and was able to get loads of stuff done, unfortunately I think I may be making up for it today though Sad

Hope you all have a lovely day, the weather is beautiful today!

lilyrose123 · 14/07/2011 14:05

Hi folks,

I'm getting quite itchy to start looking at maternity clothes. a couple of my jeans are a bit tight, but not loads of show at all yet. It helps I'm a "biggy"!! Biscuit

Can anyone recommend good shops for a size 18-20 please? Finding some of my usual haunts not very good on the web!
