Also just to mention that the stats thread keeps going all wrong heh. I think people are not copying and pasting from the last post. I've changed mine to the 16th twice now and I've wound up back on the 24th. Anyway so I think some people may not actually be on the list if earlier lists have been copied! You might wanna add yourselves back in....

Evening all

Just finished my first week back at work . Nausea is just about bearable but the thought of some foods makes me want to hurl.

No spotting pam but I think it is quite common while the embryo implants.

House is a tip here too - I just can't face it and currently have horrendous lower back pain. Sad

Tiredtrout · 08/07/2011 18:58

Just popping my head round the door of the bus. Me and bean have had two more huge bleeds since Wednesday so I went in for yet another scan. It's still there and was very wriggly today, it's also keeping up with the growing which is very good. The bad news is the bleed is surrounding two thirds of beans sac. I've been feeling slot better today though so hopefully it's going to sort itself out now.

Hope everyone starts feeling better soon xx

Every day is another day further out of the woods, Trout. Good to hear about wriggly Bean.

We have the Quinny Buzz - it's ok, but very heavy and quite bulky. Easy enough to collapse but I never do that anymore; as soon as DS hit 6mo we got a Maclaren for the car boot and used that instead. Quinny comes out for local trips and walks (going 'off-road' Grin)

melliebobs · 08/07/2011 19:36

hermione i had a breakdown over this at the weekend. DH found me in a heap on the bathroom floor crying 'why can't i just be sick. I can't even force myself. I've tried but it'd giving me a headache!' Last week was the limit and driving me insane! I wanted to puke so much just to have 10-15 minutes relief afterwards. Ah well, just learning to live with it now. It tends to go come 4pm. And now i'm feeling really adventurous and asked if i can have a go on dh's curry when it makes it's appearance! Might regret that in a couple of hours.

QueenFee · 08/07/2011 19:43

Trout glad your feeling better

Coffee my 1st appointment was the same. No bloods or anything.

I am incredibly exhausted much worse than I was with the other 3 :( hence housework here has taken a definate back seat. I do feel better if I am actually sick the constant nausea and running to the loo in case is draining.
I am a total emotional wreck too, I hace cried loads today abd have been grumpy and mardy

My friend has a ka and a buzz I will ask her if it works for her for you mellie

Somehow I have to hold a 7th bday party for dd tomorrow with a smile on my face. I am so not ready! Ahhh!
8 weeks today!

phlossie · 08/07/2011 20:12

trout - my friend had quite a few bleeds in the first 12 weeks, and blood around the sac, but it's been ok since - in fact she's in being induced as we speak.

I have a buzz too... and a Saab estate with a ginormous boot! Anyone else thought about how to fit three children in the back??? I think I might just be able to squeeze all their car seats in. Also, what about this thing about car seats being no use after 5 years? Is that just to get us to spend money?

Apparantly the following are signs of twins: excessive bloating (tick), excessive wind (tick - sorry tmi), more nausea and sickness (tick), being over 30 (tick), being in the top 25th centile for height (tick), having non-identical twins in your mother's family (tick). The only thing I'm not that's a factor is high BMI and IVF. What if......? We'd have to buy a whole new car!

Good luck with the birthday party, QueenFee!

I told my DCs about the baby today - they were both delighted. My DS said 'but Daddy hasn't put sperm in there' (which I was not expecting). I said, 'erm, yes he has.' He asked when, 'at night when we were asleep?' 'Er, Yes.' He then wanted to know the exact date - 'June the oneth?' 'No, in May.' 'May the 28th?' We settled on May 24th, though I couldn't remember! He thankfully didn't ask how Daddy put the sperm in me, but it's only a matter of time.... I'm just waiting for him to tell his teachers!

phlossie · 08/07/2011 20:13

Oh, and for those who were asking, no, puking doesn't make it feel better...

woowa · 08/07/2011 20:28

Back from holiday and entirely lacking the energy to read the 100 or so pages of this thread added since I left!!! Hope all are well? Feeling fatter and fatter here.

What's the news?
x

woowa · 08/07/2011 20:39

For those who have to deal with clearing up vomit or poo, this is what I did: put lemon peel up my nostrils and wrapped a scarf round my face. I still heaved massively and sobbed, but lemon or orange peel does help!

This is what I ate today.

Breakfast: Tuna mayo sandwich
Lunch: Bounty
Snack: Honey on toast
Dinner: Lasagne (back to normal)

Does anyone else just not want to eat normal stuff at normal times? Off to sleep now, busy busy day tomorrow and have felt dreadful today. night!

littlemonkeybix · 09/07/2011 11:52

Well.... lucky lucky me! I was bemoaning that I felt a little fraudulent and guilty as my only pregnancy symptos so far are excessive tiredness and weeing beyond myself. Today I am just living the queasy dream.

Sausage on toast helped.... for abuot 15 minutes... and now I am just a little wet-mouthed and feel all at odds with myself. That'll teach me!!

7 weeks today

louby86 · 09/07/2011 13:03

Aww littlemonkeybix it makes it feel a bit more real doesn't it!!!

I'm still in bed Blush was kind of waiting for the nausea to pass but doesn't look like it's going to so I shall be forcing myself out of bed now!

Got my first midwife appointment Monday so really looking forward to that!

Hope you all have lovely weekends!!!

Phlossie we have only have a 306 and there is now way that I will be able to fit 3 car seats in the back so after the 12 week scan I will be car shopping, no idea what as DP said he would like to keep a bit of street cred. Hmm

Ive been really naughty and brought something for me the baby before my scan, normally id say that's a no no but I couldn't resist when I saw an old vintage silver cross silver stream pram at a bargain price, is making a great project for DP and I just want to sit and stroke it all day. Blush

Well I went to the dentist with major pain in my wisdom's and he wouldn't give me anything for the infection??? In the end I went to the doctor and begged him to give me something when he looked in my mouth he couldn't believe the dentist had expected me to just carry on with the pain. Day 2 of antibiotics and although I'm still in a lot of pain its more bearable now thank god I might actually sleep tonight.

I'm finding I'm sick around 2pm most days and it gives me about an hour nausea free, absolutely nothing to with the hours sleep I have afterwards honest.

Trout hold on in there we are all keeping our fingers and toes crossed for you.

Welcome the newbies hope your finding your seat comfy

trout keeping fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed for you. Hope you are able to relax a little for the weekend. Feet up and get a crappy film on!! x

littlemonkeybix · 09/07/2011 15:42

7+0 sorry!!

PAragogDog · 09/07/2011 17:06

I am feeling very sorry for myself. Spent most the day on the sofa or in bed. Have horrible back pain and nausea is very bad, despite wearing my sea bands.

Just had to make a run from the table as my spag bol was about to make a reappearance!

Today I've felt like I've got a hangover. Sick this morning, then queasy and tired, getting gradually better as the day's gone on. Did my horse in the morning and nearly joined the very hungover teenager who was puking into a wheelbarrow!! Urgh.

Very unfair as I have had any wine for sooooooooo long. Will be relaxing with a glass of Schloer later :(

Yesterday was an up - went to the see the dr yesterday and my EDD is 17 Feb Smile.

The nausea was better this am and I even managed the gym at lunchtime to see if exercise helped - but been in bed snce 4pm feeling terrible. Still, at least I got 2/3 of the day feeling fine.

Home alone and tv is rubbish tonight. Thank goodness for on demand tv.

woowa · 09/07/2011 21:03

Seems everyone is very sick. I find I feel less nauseous the more sleep i get. I know that's impossible for fulltime workers/mums whose LOs are past napping. Hope you get to sleep lots at night.

Not sure that any big cars have street cred! Zafira? Xzara Picasso? mmmm

MW booking apt on tuesday. Can't wait! Not that anything much will happen apart from being assigned a consultant for high risk pregnancy. boo.

Looked VERY bumpy today...going to have to wear very baggy clothes til 12 week scan is over or the world is going to know. Anyone else bursting out?

Is it a new rule we have to put how pg we are on the bottom of our posts? Well...

9+3.

melliebobs · 09/07/2011 22:08

Blimey. Dragged myself for a 90 min walk at the seaside with the dog. I'm shattered now but I think the fresh air did me a little bit of good. Got to say past 2 days I've stopped taking my pregnancy multi vitamin and reverted back to just folic acid. Got to say although I still feel Envy it ain't half as bad and I can stomach a bit of food. Now I'm just left with a month n a halfs supply of the sodding things!

shipsladyg · 10/07/2011 00:30

Told the in- laws today. They seemed happy enough. Good to have it out of the bag as we're going away with them next weekend and don't want them to think I'm being miserable by not drinking, not wanting to play sailing and wanting to sleep all the time.

My house is a disgrace. I just cant summon the energy nor nausea free moments. Luckily DH back from a week with the TA today so something might get done tomorrow. He's broken it to the other officers that he might not be able to go away with them next Easter on a favourite annual training exped' as I'd be coping with a newborn & a 20 month old so they're planning for him to install me in a cottage for the week near the training area so he can still go with them but pop back to me at night. Quite sweet of them really and nice to know he's that liked/needed.

Scan date received so cautiously happy.

OddEyes · 10/07/2011 01:11

Hello all! Hope everyone surviving ok!

No time to read up, just popping into say -my husband is alive! Survived the big op but really not well.

I surviving sickness ok but sleeping lots to survive looking after the wee ones by myself. Friends being great and giving me breaks.
Have significant bump, no hiding the fact now.

Told my parents, mum was really positive and said she had guessed (obs & gyny afterall) and Dad just said "yes, that is a surprise!"

No appt from midwife or scan yet.

Just added details back on list for 4th time! I am a high risk pregnancy so part of me feels a little bit superstitious almost about staying on in there. Feeling a bit better yesterday but sleeping for England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

Next week I have midwife appointment poss Weds though this might get changed if I can switch back to the midwife I had last time. I have appointment with consultant on Tues and another medical appointment on Thu. So a busy week.

Hey everyone, had a hell of a weekend so far. Beginning to feel like someone has stuck me in the middle of the set for a soap opera!

On Friday it was dh's 40th and his parents were visiting so they insisted that we went out for dinner. I managed most of the night without anything happening till the very end of the night when I had another bleed but it was only little and I went to bed straight after.
