Hello!

Glad you got good news trout and mummy!!!

Had my results and not had to go to hospital, been given some medication to try and got the rest of the week off work. Got a midwife appointment Monday so I'll be re-tested then if the sickness hasn't calmed down a bit! I think I hit my record today haha!

Seem to have a bump already too, even though it's my first! Sister in law is hoping it's twins Grin

Hi everyone. I've been lurking over the last 6 weeks. I'm currently 10 + 1 :)
Just wondering has everyone due the same time as me got a scan date? I saw the midwife for my 1st appt at 6 weeks yet I'm still waiting and getting so impatient as I've had a few pains and aches which are different to my 2 previous pregnancies and last week had a suspected eptopic but still nothing. Have got an appt with my consultant at 13 weeks in the same department due to previous sections but no scan?

AverageHeight · 06/07/2011 22:43

mistressploppy - I'll be in southwest Hampshire once I've moved. Anyone else in the area?

Flower82 · 07/07/2011 05:08

Hi all it's been ages! Will need to have a proper read through at some point.

Re the nicknames thing, ds was stompy before delivery (such a kicker!) and has been boo since birth. This bean doesn't have one yet as it still seems too early to be getting excited.

Well I'm ill ill ill having caught ds ear infection. I have never been in so much pain! (apart from the obvious and reason we're all here!) hence the 4 45 am post Sad

Bit worried about the little bean as I've hardly been able to eat or drink anything for 3 days and gp has been totally useless!

Afraid I can't remember who posted it but I love the suggestion of frederic for a leap year boy baby! That'll be going in my name bank just in case this one is a leap one (due 27th) I love the pirates of Penzance!

Hope everyone's getting a better nights sleep than I am!

Ugh flower, that must be awful only being able to take paracetamol! I would honestly rather go through labour than have an ear infection!

lilyrose123 · 07/07/2011 10:20

puking at work :(
note to self not to have glass of milk in a morning, or in fact ever again!
now carry my bottle of bleach to work with me to clean the toilet as otherwise my puking would never stop!

Flower82 · 07/07/2011 10:28

Xav it's dreadful! Might as well string all the paracetamol tablets into a pretty necklace for all the good their doing!

Sympathies to everyone who's sicky, haven't got any as yet (don't think I could cope with morning sickness too at the mo!) when is it normal for it to come on? Can't remember with ds and am a bit worried that haven't had a nauseous twinge yet!

clarinsgirl · 07/07/2011 11:02

As with the last preganancy I seem to be getting off quite lightly. Very sore boobs, bit tired, dodgy appetite and heightened sense of smell are my main symptoms. However I have noticed how grumpy I've become over the last few days. Poor DS has had lots of telling off... Not sure if it's a symptom or if I'm just a grumpy cow!

littlemonkeybix · 07/07/2011 11:28

My appetite is doing it's own thing at the mo.... STARVING one minute, get myself a nice big fat wodge of whatever, and then have 3 bites.... and FULL! Booo!! I love food, it is always something I am interested in and passionate about but i'm quite frequently disinterested at the mo.

Plus, as soon as I know I can't have something I want it... Pate anyone Sad with a side of camambert??!!

DP and me are reckoning my "craving" is spicy food. I usually have very specific cravings when AF is about, but I haven't had any with this PG (1st one). I was really looking forward to craving stuff... but currently it's just a mild penchant for spicy food. Does that count??!!

diedandgonetodevon · 07/07/2011 12:57

I am now the proud owner of a pair of seabands [twirls]. They seem to be working a little bit. Feel mildly queasy but not properly sick at the moment.

Flower82 · 07/07/2011 12:58

Littlemonkey, cravings (if they come at all) tend to come later I think although everyone's different! I think spicy foods quite a common one. I was obsessed with apples when I was pregnant with ds, would eat 5 or 6 a day! Cost me a fortune!

I quite fancy some chilli peanuts at the mo and definitely pate, so typical isn't it!

mistressploppy · 07/07/2011 13:06

Are we not supposed to eat peanuts?

Xavielli · 07/07/2011 13:19

I think the guidelines are no peanuts if you have asthma. I still eat them.

lilyrose123 · 07/07/2011 13:20

two thoughts on that, they used to say dont eat them at all, as can give baby allergy, then they felt this caused more allergies than it prevented!
i think now they say avoid them if you have history of asthma, ezcema hayfever etc
there are traces of peanuts in loads of foods anyway!

phlossie · 07/07/2011 13:23

I live on peanut butter. Had a weird beetroot craving, ate a whole beetroot, chucked it back up again. Will never eat a beetroot again. I'm currently making my colleagues bend over backwards to cover for me and feel very emotional about it. Roll on 12 weeks... x

sam1983 · 07/07/2011 13:24

Hey is there room for me!! 9+2 due 8th of feb

lilyrose123 · 07/07/2011 13:24

flower try not to lie down flat, it increases the blood flow to your head and therefore the pounding pain, keep ear covered if you go out, to prevent any cold air getting to it, dont get water in it, for tooth infections they say cool packs rather than heat packs again to make sure you dont increase the blood flow, but you dont want to get cold in your ear you could use a cool cloth just under your ear near your neck?

lilyrose123 · 07/07/2011 13:26

phlossie after my recent vomiting trip to the toilets at work i have sat and cried for half an hour :(
they said this morning i could go home but i can't be off for the next 5 weeks!!! i'm with you roll on 12 weeks!

phlossie · 07/07/2011 13:43

I know it's weird - I feel so guilty because it's self-induced and I wanted it! And it's massively inconvenient to other people!

mummymccar · 07/07/2011 13:57

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! Glad all was ok with you trout and quest! Feeling so nauseous all the time, keep making food, trying it and going to get something else. Cupboards are now bare!

runaroundstartsnow · 07/07/2011 14:29

Hi all, sorry to all those we have lost, i hope you are back on a baby bus soon.
Congrats to all others who have had good news Smile
I have a lessoning of symptoms at the mo, i am less tired and less queasy.
On the 20th i am having a CVS which i am kacking myself over!
I also have to have my iron levels checked again next week Sad apparently as i bled so heavily during miscarriage in Nov and had really heavy periods afterwards they are worried.
Hope all those feeling horribly feel sick find a cure that works for them soon, roll on 12wks

10+2 (according to 2 scans) 9+5 according to lmp

miamama09 · 07/07/2011 14:39

know what you mean littlemonkey I am craving cheese sarnies and all things cheese, one lunchtime in work was really looking forward to having my homemade baguette, had one half then spewed right into my lunchbox, but was starving immediately afterwards to had to eat the other half (which was quickly thrown out of lunchbox upon realising need to spew, don't worry).

Having worst week in work, my Dept head is being a class A b1tch to me, she just doesn't know how to talk to people or manage people. Makes the thought of telling them all my wonderful news even more dread-filling! Keep having to tell myself, I am outta here soon in a few months and won't be coming back after mat leave... But not looking forward to seeing the disappointed, annoyed look on their faces, when really it should be happy news! Honestly, you try to do your job and this is the thanks you get!

miamama09 · 07/07/2011 14:40
