Oooooooh there's a sale on the Isabella oliver website! Love love love their maternity clothes. Just didn't want to jinx anything by buying yet!

KittyRogue · 21/07/2011 16:06

Pixel hope everything is getting sorted and you are feeling better.

I have booked this afternoon and tomorrow off from work as I was falling asleep at my desk!

I also got a massive bout of nausea smelling sausages being being cooked last night - not good.

Shagging hope you feel better by tonight :)

LadyciaraTaru · 21/07/2011 19:07

Mines on Wednesday too babydust!

How's everyone doing today?

SantaLucia · 21/07/2011 19:09

Babydust - the booking in appointment is usually your weight, height, blood pressure, questions about your health etc. At least that is what it is in Scotland. Plus you sometimes get a sheet of paper or a card which you have to bring to all monthly check ups and which contains all your details. Makes it seem real eh?

Welcome Bluebell! Sounds like this one was meant to be.

Evening ladies

Crikey, you ladies are chatty Grin. Have done my best to catch up. Big congrats and welcome to all the new ladies Smile

Stuff & Chulita I'm also still BFing - DS is 16 months. Hadn't planned on feeding this long but it's only morning and evening so very easy to carry on. Luckily, my boobs aren't that sore so I'm not going to worry about weaning him off it anytime soon.

Anyone else finding it hard to keep their eyes open in the evening? Seriously, I'm feeling a sense of achievement at being still awake at 8.15pm Hmm. I seem to have spent the last couple of weeks asleep on the couch!

FlipFantasia · 21/07/2011 20:15

Also interesting to read about the exercise everyone else is managing - v impressed with all the running and swimming! I cycle to work, and walk a lot at weekends, but that's about it. I'll be starting antenatal yoga once I get past the first trimester. I love my old yoga teacher, and still sometimes bump into women I did the classes with.

MrsCog · 21/07/2011 20:59

Hi everyone - blimey it's busy on here. I'm struggling with all day nausea and indigestion, I feel sick if I'm hungry, sick if I've eaten and sick at the thought of most foods! Feeling very fed up - need to start my exercise again as I really think it will help.

Also the smell of perfume/soap/detergent etc. is making me want to hurl! Was nearly sick on a man in the supermarket as he had a freshly laundered top on!

Hello and welcome to all newcomers and a big hi to all veteran March baby threaders :)

Not a bad day here, was sick in the sink this morning, but managed to keep down breakfast after eating some ready salted crisps. Had to get one of my class to get my fruit snack this morning as I got dizzy during singing practise, but other than that managed the day without falling asleep.

No sickness so far tonight, actually managed to get through DD's bedtime story without disappearing to be sick!

Will be 8 weeks tomorrow hooray :)

Chulita · 22/07/2011 08:06

I've been feeling sick all morning but I was up all night coughing and have been awake since 4.15 with children so I'm not sure if it's morning sickness or exhaustion...
I look 4 months gone already :( I'm going to be a heifer in about a month, not a happy girl.

Davinaaddict · 22/07/2011 08:24

Ok that's 2 long posts I've attempted to post & lost now! Angry Blooming stoopid tinterweb!!

So,wanted to offer sympathy to you Chulita - know how you feel as I've been on a train since 6.17 on the way to big smoke so my alarm went off at 4.45am- yawn! (I'm a Yorkshire bird so it's a long journey!)

Sickness seems to be worse than ever so I have a picnic to try keep it at bay Grin plus some really random iPod tunes to keep me entertained!!

Davinaaddict · 22/07/2011 08:25

Yay 3rd time lucky - sorry if I sounded a bit stroppy Grin I was about to throw my phone off the train Grin

Chulita · 22/07/2011 08:27

Funny, I'm longing for a good train ride although I'm sure if I had to do one I'd be so bored! Yorkshire to London is a long way but any excuse for a picnic :) got anything tasty?

broodylicious · 22/07/2011 08:35

Hi everyone, please can you help me?! I got the BFP I have been dreaming of last Wednesday and our first dc is due March 24th :) :)
Almost immediately, I started getting sore tender boobs (complete with oh so attractive veins!), period-type pains and waves of uncomfortable bloating (not after eating though, just randomly). Even though they were painful, it made me feel preggers so I wasn't complaining (in my head, obviously) because it reassured me things were happening :)
However, since yesterday, these pains have disappeared! And naturally, being a first time preggo, it's worrying me :/
Has this happened to any of you before? Is it a sign of things not being well? I haven't bled and like I say, I'm not in pain or anything. I just think it's weird they've gone away!
Please help :/ xxx

pixelpeeper · 22/07/2011 08:43

broodylicious try not to worry, but if you really here, there are a couple of things you can do to reassure yourself....

do another test. It doesn't help much but seeing the pink line again might help!

Pay for a private scan so you can have a look for yourself if you are really worried

Symptoms do come and go - some days you can feel fine, other days you can feel like death warmed up; no spotting is a good sign, but like I say if you are really worried get a scan, it's about £100.

pixelpeeper · 22/07/2011 08:45

chulita, I too look about 4 months and have 2 people at work ask me if I am PG already. It's a bitch innit!!!

It's really depressing I know... but worth it in the end?!?!

KittyRogue · 22/07/2011 09:25

broody - similar thing has happened to me! I had the worst period like pains last week and this week they have pretty much stopped! As I have no sign of bleeding I'm just guessing that things have stretched enough for now.

If you have other symptoms like sore/ bigger boobs, mood swings or anything else preggers related I'm sure it's ok. But as Pixel said if you are worried do another test or book a scan. or call a doctor and have a natter with them? hope everything is ok :)

I can't believe how tired and grumpy I have become! Ended up booking half day off yesterday and all day today off as was feeling so crap! but instead of taking it easy I am cleaning!! We live in rented housing and it's inspection day! Apparently my idea of tidy and DH idea of tidy are two different things!!

Anyone know roughly how much I can lift without hurting the bean? I want to Hoover the stairs and not sure if humping the Hoover up them is a good idea...

ShaggingProducesResults · 22/07/2011 09:27

broodylicious - Afraid I can't help as it's my first too, I am sure that the advice of the more experienced March Mums will be brilliant though.

Dragged myself into work today and regretting it already......... I spent a good percentage of my "getting ready time" this morning over the sink heaving but am still yet to throw up.

DH has a long list of stuff to do this weekend (DIY and Garden) and to be honest I can't imagine I'm going to be doing any of it!!!!

Chulita · 22/07/2011 12:20

kitty I think at this point it's still fine. Put it this way: I carried my 2.8 year old around town today whilst pushing my 12 month old in his buggy and carrying said 12 month old's birthday presents - life can't stop cos we're pg! As we get bigger and the relaxin kicks in that's when we need to stop lifting heavy things (if we can help it which, let's face it, most of us can't). Might be talking through my arse though, it has been known...

pixelpeeper · 22/07/2011 12:40

chulita - relaxin has already kicked in! Your ligaments are already well on their way to total stretchyness Grin

You should be careful of lifting heavy things... but just be sensible!
For example - lifting children out of highchair - ok
lifting a chest of drawers up 3 flights of stairs because you are too impatient to wait for DH to come home - probably not ok

pixelpeeper · 22/07/2011 12:41

humping hoover up stairs is fine... unless you can't be arsed when you can tell DH it's really not fine and he needs to do it. That's how I got out of cleaning the bathroom for 6 months last time, but he has wised up now.

pixelpeeper · 22/07/2011 12:49

chemicals, y'see Grin

ShaggingProducesResults · 22/07/2011 12:55

I'm not sure humping a Hoover is ever advisable..... Wink
