All of mine have been yellow bumps so I guess this one will be a suprise too!

I had spd with dc2 and ended up in a wheelchair. I felt it start with dc3 and went to see an osteopath and she sorted it out and I was completely pain free and could still walk a mile at 39 weeks. Couldnt recommend it more I so wish some one had told me when I was pg with dc2!

PDog · 25/06/2011 09:00

Close to aykley heads bill! We moved here shortly after DD was born, i lost a lot of my baby weight trudging back up the hill from town with the pram. This time i will be able to waddle to the hospital when the time comes!

Am shattered today so have sneaked back to bed while DH has taken DD shopping. Hope you are not all feeling too green.

Emz33 · 25/06/2011 09:46

I'm going away for ten days now. So looking forward to not having to pretend I'm perfectly normal all day at work for a while! Bet I won't be able to catch up on this thread when I get back. Hope every1 has a good couple of weeks and isn't too green. X

melliebobs · 25/06/2011 09:53

Yey. Got my first midwife appointment through the post this morning. 15th July so I'll be 9 weeks.

In other news found out yday my cousin had her 20 week scan on Thursday and found out the baby has serious heart complications and they have been referred to Manchester childrens hospital. My husband is now worried sick about what could happen to us and also how we share our news in light of this. We weren't going to be telling n e one till 12 weeks but even so

phlossie · 25/06/2011 10:04

Sorry to hear about your cousin, melliebobs. Bad things happen, so it's good that you have realistic expectations, but complications are still less frequent than healthy babies, so don't worry too much! What's will happen with your cousin's baby? A friend of mine had to terminate at 22 weeks. Awful.

I puked this morning, and just thought, oh yeah, here we go. I was sick every day with my other two, so why not this one?! It's nice to have symptoms though. And yes, I'm horribly moody. Like I said before it's like really bad PMT on a long boat journey over rough seas. I need sleep and potato dauphinoise. My DH and DCs had eggs for breakfast - bleurgh. I need plain carbs and nectarines.

melliebobs · 25/06/2011 10:22

Well me mum messages me yday to tell me. She didn't have all the finer details apart from they've to go to Manchester on Tuesday. Everyones really shell shocked cos up until now there have been no problems. So will have to wait n see.

As for me just got nausea. Its getting to the point I'm wishing it was sickness. At least with that there's an end product! I'm bored of running up the stairs to dry heave in the toilet. My abs are killing! And I'm hungry but can't stomach anything. Been looking at my bowl of rice crispies for twenty mins now

rnbsmum · 25/06/2011 11:34

I'm assuming that we'll keep the gender of this baby a surprise as we did with the other two, but the comment further up the thread saying older kids find it easier to adjust if they know the sex has givien me pause for thought.

Liking the Bank Holiday babies - any more Eurovision babies out there? Might have to call lo Blue...! Grin
8wks today!!

LittleBoxes · 25/06/2011 11:48

Hello hello. Blimey this thread's moving fast.

Sorry to hear about your cousin, Melliebobs Sad. It's horrible when issues appear at the 20 week scan - I know someone that happened to. Before that, I was stupidly under the impression that the 20 week scan was purely for the parents' benefit - you know, just so you could have a look what's happening in there. Never even crossed my mind that there were proper medical reasons for doing it [dim emoticon]. Are you near Manchester then? Being nosy because I'm from the NW myself. Miles away now though - I'm in SE London.

Yesterday I solved the sushi issue by having a quick search on Google Maps and miraculously finding a new pub nearby to go for lunch in - turned out to be really nice too! So my secret is still safe...

I just want meat at the mo. I fantasise about big plates of chops and ribs and burgers and stuff. Think I might have to organise a barbecue! Last pregnancy it was ice lollies (in January) - very odd.

babycarmen · 25/06/2011 13:08

Such a shame for your cousin melliebobs.

Were thinking of finding out the sex of the baby this time and getting a 4d scan done privately. Still not 100% sure though, would be nice to have another surprise but id like to know so i can go blue/pink shopping :)

The nausea is actually to the point im in tears. Its really getting me down. Im going to speak to the midwife on monday and she if she has any advice (my booking in appointment!) a friend reccomended travel sickness bands so il give them a go.. ready to try anything!

Another great thing...my skin is starting to break out.. my skin is always super clear so im putting it down to pregnancy hormones?

8 week scan on wednesday. Cannot wait, just so desperate to see that heartbeat!

currybaby · 25/06/2011 13:11

i'm just craving pasta. pasta..pasta..pasta..

PamBeesly · 25/06/2011 13:41

I had lots of hives across my stomach last night, they were gone this morning and they didn't really itch, they were just qute raised, has anyone else had hives in their pregnancy? I'm 5+1

QueenFee · 25/06/2011 15:05

I'm nw too :[wave] well I now live in north wales

My sickness is far worse this time round bleugh...

My cravings have varied from salt and vinegar crisps to plates of pickles to honey on toast so waiting to see what comes this time :)

babycarmen · 25/06/2011 15:13

Help...

Ive just had bleeding :/ Im so scared. It was just a tiny bit i noticed when i went to the loo but its bright red.. Im 7+4.

:(

LolaRennt · 25/06/2011 15:15

Baby Carmen, call your EPU or just show up. I did it, they are usually lovely and will probably scan you straight away for your own sanity.

Just so you know though a little blood is totally normal , even if it is scary!

LolaRennt · 25/06/2011 15:18

Actually I would just pop up there less chance of being fobbed off!

babycarmen · 25/06/2011 15:22

My friend said ages ago that they just told her to go home and sit and wait because there was nothing they could do so i dont know... :S

LolaRennt · 25/06/2011 15:27

Did she go to walk in clinic, casualty or the EPU?

The first two won't be able to help you. EPU probably will!

LolaRennt · 25/06/2011 15:28

You will have to wait for a while, but they will sort you or listen out for HB eventually.

babycarmen · 25/06/2011 15:31

she went to casualty, i dont know if the EPU is open on weekends at my hospital :/

LolaRennt · 25/06/2011 15:48

Can't hurt to call or pop by

LittleBoxes · 25/06/2011 15:56

babycarmen, I called my GP when it happened to me (both times - first time was bad news, second time was absolutely fine). They sent me straight to EPU. I know it's the weekend but have they got an out-of-hours service? I'd try EPU direct first though. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

LittleBoxes · 25/06/2011 15:57

PS I had bright red bleeding too (both times).

babycarmen · 25/06/2011 16:09

I think im going to hold tight until Monday morning as i see the midwife then, and see what she says.. UNLESS i get anymore bleeding. It was just a little bit.. I have my scan on Wednesday morning anyway (i will be 8+1) so fingers crossed everything holds and il see a nice heartbeat then..
Thanks for replying!!

hermionejgranger · 25/06/2011 16:32

fingers crossed for you, babycarmen. re: nausea - I use sea bands for travel sickness and absolutely swear by them - without them, 10 mins down the road and we have to stop. BUT you have to "believe" they are working, IYSWIM. Don't doubt the power of the sea bands!!!

hermionejgranger · 25/06/2011 16:33

and, babycarmen, I'd do what littleboxes recommends - call your out of hours gp number and ask for advice...
