I'm not going to do the stats as it took up so much of every page! Welcome, everyone!

hi there feeling fed up as well. We were all convinced this baby was coming out at the weekend but not a peep! Anyway a good friend has taken ds1 and ds2 to the cinema so I am lazing at home with ds3 who has a cold.

In retrospect it probably wouldn't have been good if she came out at the weekend as dp had a bad foot and spent most of Saturday and Sunday in bed so wouldn't have been much help.

Jimmy glad you got your pub meal although I am jealous because I'm still being very careful with my diet due to the GD. Envy

Pesha so sorry to hear about your ds2 Sad hope he's out of hospital soon.

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 06:44

Morning all. SPD has suddenly ramped up to unbearable. Am on cocodamol constantly. However, I'm trying to rationalise it to myself by saying that it could be because baby is trying to engage further. Also, my BH have been getting stronger.

Sues hope Thomas is settling well now and his willy looks less sore.

Could someone post up a precis of Confuddled's issues? Not being on FB I@m a little out of the loop!

nicolamumof3 · 11/07/2011 06:55

oh button am thinking of you, my spd seems to be easing amazingly. Braxton hicks and general uncomfortableness when walking not good tho. Have about at 20min walk this afternoon to sports day, not looking forward but ds2 will love it he's only in reception and it usually rains but looking like a fabby day.

then i must wrap ds3's bday presents tonight and get baking for his bday. House feels a tip as well tho probably isn't im just fussing. Was up early as dh left for work at 6.30 so should get in the shower and get going before boys wake. Trying to do my ocado shop but couldn't really focus on food. yuck.

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 07:27

Yuck indeed. I've just ordered a mammoth Tesco shop to arrive on Friday afternoon - when I'll be in labour, all being well, so MiL will have to unpack it! Ha ha! Was hard work though - who wants to think about mince and eggs at this time of the morning!

I've got ds's sports day this morning. Nice day here, but with a little fluffy cloud cover so I'm hoping it won't be tooo hot.

I've no excuse to moan too much. After all, I know that I only have 4 more 'sleeps' (or awakes) til induction. So even if it stays bad now, I'm not just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - I'm almost there!

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 07:29

Oh, two more things - we're going to need another new thread soon!

And our new car is being collected tomorrow! Yay! We went past the dealership last night and saw it sat there with all it's protective wax etc on it. Told the dcs - they're very excited too.

DH got all protective and said he was collecting it tomorrow, going back to London on train til Thursday but I wasn't allowed to drive it Angry. Mind you, he's got a point. Now I've ramped up the cocodamol I really ought not to drive too much.

Me again...

Two words... Harper Seven? Was never going to be anything 'normal' but Harper Seven?!

OP posts:
JimmyChoo17 · 11/07/2011 08:36

Button...I'm gutted...they only went and stole my girl names....can still use it but number 8 instead? Grin

Puuuuurrrlleeaaassse! All that money and still no sense. I'm all up for being different but come on. I suppose they know that their kids will never be bullied due to their status.

Was thinking about new thread names actually....is there still a fair few of us to pop?

Baby has head down again this morning. Still really breathless....is it an obvious difference once they drop properly?

Badgerwife · 11/07/2011 08:53

Hi all. and congrats to all recent mums, I've been lurking but had nothing of any interest to contribute as there is absolutely no sign of the baby. Still, 38 weeks, should be soon right?

Lol re Harper Seven; Harper OK, but I'm very confused about the number.

inbetweener · 11/07/2011 09:10

Hello everyone,
Havent been on for ages but been lurking and reading. Congrats to all the new babies ! Am VERY Envy.
Am on maternity leave at last and feel very, very pregnant !! Am 38+4 today and nothing seeems to be happening. Im having loads of BH all day, every day and my bump hurts on my belly button with every step. I am barely going anywhere apart from the school run with dd1 and dd2. Coupled with excessive discharge that keeps making me feel that my water has gone and a needle like pain up my fanjo when I move im in a great mood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im so ready to be done now !!

My last MW appt was at 35 weeks too and I havent another till 41 weeks !!! So anything could be happening in there !!
I just know im going to go over Sad.

Anyone who has had number 3 already come early ?? Please give me some hope.........Sad

Do you reckon if I phoned the MW's they would give me an appt even though they have said I dont need one till 41 weeks ?

nicolamumof3 · 11/07/2011 09:18

Thats along time to wait? thought it was fortnightly at end? I saw mw at 36+4 and 38+4 and will go again at 40+4 but may see if i can squeeze in this week they might give me a sweep as i'll be nearly 40w? who knows?!!

re, the Beckhams, the seven is in reference to his team no. at man utd, how awful!! I don't really like harper either.

Button so exciting, to know you will def have your little baby this time next week. And i'll still be trundling on i bet! It's my wedding anniversary next monday.

Very warm out already. Wearing my longest maternity vest but still riding up and my linen shorts I don't care what i look like, as long as cool. I think sports day will be very hot by lunchtime, my parents comming tho to prop me up Grin

Just me and ds3 here, we may take some of his new garden toys out this morning, but i do have kitchen and floors to clean and ebay parcels to pack. Oh and the hugest basket of ironing!!

inbetweener · 11/07/2011 09:28

Yes I think its a bloody long time to wait too nicola.
Am feeling a bit Hmm about my whole experience of being pg third time round to be honest. I think I have had about 5 MW appts from start to finish !!!!!!!!!
So from 35 weeks I have to go till 41 weeks !! Thats with no-one checking me, no-one checking to see if bump is growing or turned breech ! No one checking by blood pressure and no chance of an early sweep !!!!!!!
Im really not sure what to do Sad

Plus, last weekend I had a HUGE horrid stitch like pain in my right side and rang the MW. She told me to come to delivery suite and get checked but to be warned they were busy. I waited TWO HOURS with women in established labour, contracting in corridors before even being seeing by triage !! I am now petrified that baby 3 will come quickly and I wont even get a bed Sad

Scottygirl10 · 11/07/2011 09:54

Button! I'm being induced on Friday too! If I have my maths correct and 4 more sleeps for you is in fact Friday...3 weeks of maternity brain has well and truly disengaged ;) lol. Still feels ages away to me, and with it being my first I had hoped for a spontaneous labour but never mind. I'll be 10 days overdue by Friday and very very ready not to be pregnant anymore! X

nicolamumof3 · 11/07/2011 10:32

inbetweener i would make a mw apt for this week tbh, i wouldn't want to wait that long. Your hospital sounds very much like mine!!

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 11:25

Yay to scotty - my Friday buddy!

When I told DD2 it was Harper Seven she said 'what? it was born at half past seven?' Grin

Inbetweener I'd be insisting on an appt too. It's an awful long time - 6 wks in fact.

DS came joint last in the egg and spoon but his team won the relay so not all bad! He was v cute anyway Grin Am now home and recharging my batteries. With jaffa cakes Smile

OP posts:
SpannerPants · 11/07/2011 11:37

Oooh jaffa cakes - I've got a big stash of them in my "birth snacks" bag, along with jelly sweets and a couple of tubs of those chocolate cornflake crispy things from M&S.

I really thought things might have been starting yesterday, lots of braxton hicks, passed a big chunk of mucus plug and had the runs as well (sorry for TMI) but nothing at all.

I was in my usual bad mood, but this just made me laugh until I cried - I'm tempted to go to the garden centre down the road and see if they have any 5ft chickens!

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 12:09

Fnar! Will men never learn?!

I've just eaten 12 jaffa cakes. In about as many minutes Grin. I should be Blush but I truly can't be arsed.

OP posts:
cara2244 · 11/07/2011 12:49

Oooh good luck everyone, there are more mummies getting close by the sound of it!! Has anyone started a postnatal thread yet?

MissLolita · 11/07/2011 12:55

I love the chicken story! A couple of years ago I came across a 10ft fibreglass dinosaur on eBay and I was all for buying it for the sheer comedy value however I stupidly mentioned it to dh who talked me out of it on the basis we were skint and that it was a waste of our very limited money....he had a fair point but I have sort of regretted it ever since :) Next time I wont tell him!

Nothing happening here; 2 mile walk yesterday, 20 lengths breastroke this morning and a sweep this afternoon so maybe that will get things moving....

isitreallythattime · 11/07/2011 14:55

Hi ladies, just to let you know my waters went in the night and been in and out of hospital due to not enough contractions. Been for scampi and chips and a HUGE ice cream sunday and now gearing up to go back to hospital for another check up.

Contractions not really happening, had one or two big ones about an hour apart so going to go for stroll.

Booked in for Inducing at 9am tomorrow morning which is a little daunting but trying to remain calm and positive.

Will keep you all posted.

x x

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 16:31

It shouldn't be that bad though - your waters have gone for a reason. The reason being the time is arriving! Perhaps you just need a gentle kick start? Good luck!

OP posts:
Eglu · 11/07/2011 16:47

isitreallythattime Good luck

inbetweener that is appalling. They should really keep an eye on you at the end. This was my third too, but I had the same number of appointments as a first timer.

I have got nothing done today as DD will not be put down at all. She feeds, cuddles, screams. I have to say she has been the hardest work of my DC so far, I know she is only 2 weeks old but she is very demanding.

minicorrect · 11/07/2011 17:37

Inbetweener I agree with everyone else, and think you should try and get another appointment sooner. I'm on no.2 and am still being seen every 2 weeks by the MW so don't see why no. 3 should be any different.

isitreally congratulations on things starting up - ice cream sundae sounds like a great way to pass the time - and maybe the shock of the cold will get things going for you! Fingers crossed all is going well now and you're underway without too much help from the hospital.

cara I think someone did start a BA thread but not sure if this will become a postnatal one? Haven't been in there to look to be honest.

Eglu sorry DD is being demanding, but you shouldn't be getting anything else done at the moment - just enjoying the precious first few weeks with her! I truly believe in the fourth trimester theory in that they need lots of special care and attention for the first couple of months outside the womb. I look at DD1 now and can't believe how quickly she's growing up and will savour every single moment this time round as it really does go so fast!

MissL I would be the same - love the idea of silly fun things but DP far too sensible to let me spend money on them unfortunately! The dinosaur sounds great too!!

Not much happening here - was meant to take DD swimming this morning but the pool was closed for maintenance (and I was super-chuffed to be able to fit in my normal swimsuit - even though it was a bit tight too!). And Posh & Becks stole one of the only names me and DP had actually agreed on - possibly a good thing judging by the reactions to it, but with an Etienne already, we are having a really tough time finding something complementary. I refuse to go with anything traditional - just hope the kids don't hate me for it! Want to make them strong characters though and think an unusual name helps with this.

This just popped up in my Twitter timeline: Big Baby - OW!!!!

Eglu · 11/07/2011 18:07

minicorrect I'm fine with it most of the time, it's just sometimes I feel I need a bit of a break. She is sleeping now, so I'm getting a little break. It's also a miserable rainy day so both boys have been stuck in the house all day too. Would be better if we could all get a walk in the sun. Also love your DDs name.

buttonmoon78 · 11/07/2011 18:16

Ouch!

This weekend I had the full gamut of insults - 'wow - you look exhausted' to my favourite 'you're much bigger than last time... I mean, you've put weight on everywhere... like lots on your face'. So that made me feel a lot better. Not.

What always surprises me is that it's often mothers who make these comments - so they should remember what it's like, or at the very least be aware that women generally let alone when pg don't appreciate comments about weight. And that one was from someone who's gone from a 14(ish) to at least a size 20 in 12 months... Hmm

And I still haven't put on as much as 2 stone!

Pleased to announce my nipples are leaking. What's not so pleasing is I got confused with my apps and almost posted this as my fb status...! Also if I'd laughed any harder at that chicken story I may have broken my water! unusual thing happened to me when on the loo last night, I heard and felt a definite 'click' or 'pop' from the lower left side on the inside. excitedly thought it was membranes that had ruptured, however not even a trickle of water never mind huge gush. boo. some browny blood stained discharge since but not much. Literally hope things pick up for you! And eglu little eglu sounds like she just can't get enough of her mummy :). 3 full days button...and counting ;) x
