I'm not going to do the stats as it took up so much of every page! Welcome, everyone!

Frosties are my total new foodie thang. Tesco are doing 3 for 2 on cereals so I feel justified in eating them extra fast Grin. I haven't been near the scales for a week or two though. Perhaps it's worth a laugh tomorrow am!

Spanner sounds like it could be a show! I've only ever had one of those - on my edd with dd1 - she was born exactly a week later.

Swell survived swimming lesson with ds3 just having a coffee now then stagger home. Times like these I wish could drive its the walking everywhere which is killing me

scarthy1975 · 01/07/2011 11:19

jimmy I had two sweeps last time and to be honest they didn't hurt me that much - no worse than a smear test really. Midwife has said I might have one when I go to see consultant on 12th but the later you have them the more effective they are!

minicorrect · 01/07/2011 12:13

Yay - tap out for delivery today so things looking up. DD just gone for her nap and we're going to let her have a long one as she didn't have one yesterday and didn't sleep well last night. So I'm going to go lie on my sunbed in the garden for a quiet hour or so! This was meant to happen on Weds but when I put DD down for her nap, our builder went and picked up his niece from nursery so I ended up having to look after her while DD slept. Not sure if I was BU but I was mightily peed off!!! No doubt I'll get some sarky comment from him about being lazy!

Will add my stats to the list, but they're somewhat depressing seeing as everyone else is so far ahead of me now - even Button's jumped the queue!

Enjoy a little sunbathe, Minicorrect

We are moving house on Monday so the packer is here today. He is amazingly fast. Am sooo pleased is not me doing it. Although will have to unpack on other end Hmm

Also have to report to the nurse about my Gestational Diabetes today. they are meant to be deciding whether to put me on insulin or not. if they do will mean an early induction so may not have long left. We will see...

Just adding stats...

button Obama is on my hate list after his healthcare changes. Luckily DH and I are savers and the estimated additional cost of $5500 can be met. I just have an issue with the fact if we had the baby before his reforms came in mid pregnancy we would have paid $50 (our plan required you pay a copay for the first visit at the obn).

The humidity was a lot lower yesterday so I am a lot less swollen. It is july 4th weekend so baby is not allowed to make their entrance until everyone is back at work. The obn checked my pulled muscle this morning and confirmed it had split and that the head was over my pelvis so def not coming out anytime soon.

ooh stats list looking better now im not at bottom Grin

my mum on hand this afternoon to do school run and then take DS2 to his swimming lesson and prob ds3 will tag along as well. so that gives me a break from the horrendous school/nursery run, dash home, swimming run palaver!

am still feeling strangely calm today, struggled at beginning of week so wondering what all this is about?! Hmm

hefner · 01/07/2011 15:36

Ooh, good luck Pesha, hope things get moving for you soon. Button, hope your baby sorts its position out before you see the MW. Mine is head down but refusing to engage, I think it's having too much fun kicking me in the ribs! I've been really lucky and am still feeling fairly comfortable so I'm happy for baby to wait for a while. I finish work today and I'd quite like to have a week or two pottering around the house before the baby arrives.

Just came back from the chiropractor. Baby is sitting on my left hip and she tried to move them off and back down. I told the chiro about my hospital visit on tuesday and she said that she would be very surprised if the baby was such a low weight. She also said that at this point I need to prepare myself for the possibility that I might end up wtih a CS even if I manage to go into labour.

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 16:20

I have taken exception to being bumped backwards despite a confirmed date for induction! So I've put myself back in at July 15th again... Wink

Well I've had a fun fun fun afternoon. Went to Toy R Us and bought my changing mat (bargain at £5.99 Smile) then went to Sainsbury's for a w/e shop. I was reversing out of my space when this sporty red Vectra came zooming out of his space. I jammed the brakes on and stuck my hand on the horn but he just walloped into the side of my car. I must admit that the speed and sportiness of the car made me wonder who it was so I asked a couple (maybe 70s?) who had seen it all to stay with me but they just got in their car and drove off! Was totally shocked.

However, turned out to be a v nice fella. I've been to my local workshop on the way to school (once I'd necked a few coca colas to help me calm down!) and he says the damage is in the region of £500. Shock

Fella has since rung to make sure I was ok (his wife was v worried about me!) and to suggest that he pays for the damage rather than going through insurance so we'll see what he says once I get a couple more quotes!

I'm really cross about that other couple though. I mean if you saw a v heavily pg person involved in an accident, crying and asking for your help you'd just drive off wouldn't you? Hmm And they say younger people today have no sense of social responsibility Hmm

no the old'uns can be callous old gits at times button, hope you're ok now??

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 16:59

I'm fine, thank you. It wasn't fast and I was stationary so it was just his speed IYSWIM? Rather than a combined speed. Baby seems fine though I did get some killer BH for an hour or so afterwards! It was just the shock I think, I was a bit shaky driving home!

Pesha I really feel for you not having had this baby yet. I'm sending you all of my strong contraction vibes.

Nicola I don't know how you walk everywhere. I drove the tiniest of distances at the end of my pg.

I keep having flashbacks to the birth. It was scary not feeling in control of everything. I knew what I was doing but it was still scary.

DD is settling down now after having a few days of screaming between feeds. Infacol is great stuff.

Fraochsmum · 01/07/2011 20:16

Evening!
I had a good app in Glasgow yesterday and was v impressed with the facilities and treatment there. They asked me back on the 11th for an app and to do a sweep if all was favourable, if nowt had happened they will offer induction at term. They said they would do it for 'social' reasons i.e. being 140 miles from home. However, I had a major show before seeing them and still coming a bit today - I know it's not conclusive, but DD came 2 days after exactly the same thing. I also got a growth scan because the Dr was concerned that DD was in the lower 10th centile - even tho no mw has been a bit concened and the one yesterday said "Does that look like a 10th centile bump?!". Anyhoo, got shoe-horned in for a scan and monkey is in the upper 50th and all looks well. DH has offered to do a sweep himself, his description of what to do is a bit crude to post here but it sure made me laugh Grin
jimmy I had a (attempted) sweep with DD and really couldn't feel it. Mw couldn't catch it cause DD's head was so far down and she said after that there's no way she could have stood having that done, but I didn't find it uncomfortable or sore.
Good luck to want2be and pesha!
Glad things worked out ok button but I bet you got one heck of a fright.

I cant copy and paste on pad can some slot me in please jimmychoo17 due July 16th sweep booked on 11th!

Race ya fraochsmum!

SpannerPants · 01/07/2011 22:18

How did you get a sweep booked jimmy? They won't do them here until 41 weeks :( if I'm still pregnant by my due date I'm considering teaching dp to do one for me as I don't think I'd be able to reach!

JimmyChoo17 · 01/07/2011 22:21

My midwife just said get booked in now for a date during week 40 and they'll make the 1st attempt. They try twice here.

About to watch knocked up....home alone, bored, tired but can't sleep....longing for something to eat but don't know what. Pah....

JimmyChoo17 · 01/07/2011 22:23

I'll only be 40 + 2 but only appointment I could get that week.

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 22:52

For those of you with plenty of cephalic presentation experience, do you still feel a lot of movement on your cervix? I'm pretty convinced that baby is still head down but it also feels as though something is trying to nudge it's way out of my cervix!

It's not like it was before when it's feet were there - not hard kicks and jabs as such, but constant pressure and nudging.

I'm so unused to babies that are head down I can't remember what's normal!
