I'm not going to do the stats as it took up so much of every page! Welcome, everyone!

God I'm really struggling to keep up at the moment - it seems like babies are being born left, right and centre!

Cara - glad all went well and hope they let you go home soon - sounds like she's feeding really well though so there shouldn't be any worries. Hope you're getting some sleep now - mistake I made was trying to keep going during the day but then not getting any sleep at night when there was no-one about to help out. Think I went 5 days from waters breaking to sleep in the end. Not a good start!

Want2b it sounds like you've had a shitty week. Can you not bake yourself some cookies without salt to treat yourself? You certainly sound like you deserve it. Hope they don't keep you waiting next time you go in - always so frustrating. I get super-irritable when I've not eaten so get how you feel. Glad the food helped lift you back up though, we're eating lots of grapes at the moment too - yummy and refreshing in the heat.

Jimmy and Stangirl - massive respect for continuing to work and getting to gigs so close to DD! Would have liked the extra money by working longer, but was getting so stressed there, struggling on the train for 2 hours each way was killing my SPD and having some precious time with DD1 just made the money less of an issue. But the thought of going to a gig now Shock - that is well beyond my ability and I've got a month to go yet!! Have a great time!!!

Button - glad you've got your birth sorted out and that the registrar was so understanding - that type are precious!! Not long now...!

Pesha - anything happening? Know you had an appointment today, so hope all is well?

Turns out East Kent (where I am) was the hottest part of the country on Monday, but I LOVED it - DP thinks I'm the only heavily pregnant woman in the world to like the heat. Admittedly spent the afternoon with my feet in DD's paddling pool while she chucked water over my legs - sat there in wet knickers without a care in the world - maybe I'd have felt differently if I'd been on public transport though! Still lovely here though even though we had a bit of rain and storms on Tuesday - cleared the humidity but not the heat or sunshine it seems!

Been getting lots and lots of BHs which are crippling when they hit, plus baby seems to be bouncing on my cervix, bladder and bowels LOTS atm. Last night I was convinced it was trying to find it's way out through my bum it was so painful! Scared to poo in case it falls out (yeah wishful thinking I know!) but god the pain is making me feel so sick and giving me tummy upsets! Think baby keeps hitting a nerve too as every now and again I get a searing pain through my right leg which is super-ouchy and has me hobbling about even more than normal. Fine at home, but less so in the middle of Asda Grin. Only a month to go now! And probably going to be the longest month ever! Have told DP she is on pooey nappy duty when baby arrives as compensation for not having to be pregnant!!

Right, off to get kitchen flooring sorted and then might be able to properly relax this afternoon.

Congrats to all the new mums that I've not said it to yet - like I say hard keeping up at the moment. Hope all is going well and thanks for sharing birth stories - they always make me cry!

SpannerPants · 30/06/2011 12:36

Why did I think it would be a good idea to watch one born every minute USA - I'm currently in floods of tears! It might sound strange but I'm only just coming to terms with the fact that I'm having a baby Hmm

buttonmoon78 · 30/06/2011 17:28

Ok, now I'm really confused.

Yesterday, one of the reasons it felt different was that when baby had hiccups they were in my pelvis - ie where the head was. It's been having them again this afternoon and they've moved - they're now above my left hip.

And after feeling a lot more freedom in my pelvis yesterday, today I'm in loads of pain again Sad

What I'm scared about is what if it's gone oblique again? I know it's not likely but it's possible. I've got another appointment with the MW on Tuesday but if she can't decide (again) what happens then? I could turn up to be induced and it could be all wrong. And no one's been able to decide which way up it is all along. And last time they simply began inducement by breaking my waters. If it's not head down that would mean a proper emcs under GA.

And what if she can decide? That's almost worse because then it means it's unstable and they might freak and want to keep me in hospital and I can't because of the children and dh working away.

Ooooh, i'm probably having a total panic attack about nothing but what if I'm not?

And breathe.

Quick post, not read anything. Had sweep at hospital this afternoon (which hurt like fuck) and it seems to have worked! But is MIL's 60 th today so now on our way to pub for a meal! Not expecting to stay long tho. Will possibly update more later, pretty sure I'm gonna have a baby tonight!!!Grin

buttonmoon78 · 30/06/2011 19:23

I hope so Pesha. I reckon it's putting everyone else of their stride, you being so narky about being next Wink! Good luck.

I think I may have calmed down a bit now but reserve the right to get waaay overstressed again

SpannerPants · 30/06/2011 19:33

Oh button - nothing much I can say but hope everything turns out for the best!

Good luck Pesha - you could be on for the last June delivery for the July ladies!

isitreallythattime · 30/06/2011 19:46

Hello, just dropping in to have a moan and off load worries with you all.

Went for observation yesterday as baby wasnt moving much (baby seemed fine) got told baby is back to back. Really have no idea what this means with regards to labour other than i know its not ideal and have a feeling its going to be evenmore tough to deliver. HAs anyone had experience of this, am i best thinking epidural or could this lead to C Section.

Also massivly uncomfortable, feel like the old grandma off cathrine tate, cant walk up the stairs with out going on all fours, in alot of pain, mainly back.

Help!! Although i know baby will come when ready, i dont want it to come till nursery is built which will be a another couple of days ; ( x

Want2bSupermum · 30/06/2011 19:47

Good luck Pesha.

This week has been quite tough. Baby is happy enough to hang out for a couple of weeks in me but my body is just not handling it well. DH has been rubbing my back and giving me lots of cuddles. He is leaving work at 3pm today and tomorrow to spend some time with me. I think I have split the muscle under my belly. It really hurts. It is hard being pregnant when it is 90F.

buttonmoon78 · 30/06/2011 20:07

Isit ds was OP. It's not ideal. Last time I did it without an epidural, but if this one is back to back when I go in to be induced I'll be asking them to set up the epidural then, ready for if I want it later.

FWIW, spend a lot of time on your hands and knees if your pelvis will cope. It's about the only position I can deal with out of all the 'optimal fetal positioning' advice I've read. That might be worth googling though, as something might work for you. try not to slouch back and try not to sit with your knees higher than your pelvis.

Well thats it no more work for me in 2011 Grin Had a lovely bunch of flowers, a new bouncer and some mothercare vouchers so very impressed. Had a cry when I had to pick up ds from childminder as it was his last day.

Saw midwife today and all in right place stil - head engaged. She hasn't bothered making me another appointment as i'm booked to see the consultant 2 days after my due date (12th) and we will see what he says. Part of me wishes I went for the elcs as i'd know i'd be having my baby next week. Convinced i'm going to be late again, 10 days last time.

Good luck Pesha

JimmyChoo17 · 30/06/2011 20:40

Damn it!! Even Pesha is beating me!! How dare you q jump!! ;-) No really - I hope all goes well for you Pesha - will be keeping my beady eye on the forum for news.

Anyone else had sweep before? What do they actually do and does it always hurt?

Hoping Baby Jimmy stays put actually for time being just to get those few extra £££s at work next week and get my hair cut. MW Appt went well today - she reckons its about 7.5 - 8lber in there....I know they arent accurate but shes about 200 years old so might be good at guessing! I nearly fell off the table when she said that. She remarked at how little fat I had around my belly as could feel so much detail of baby.....she didnt extend that comment to my flabby thighs and butt tho (nor the fact I have more chins than a chinese phone book!) I celebrated with more of those cookies....any excuse. Grin

She could feel baby stretching out, said its got the wrong idea about curling up. Sounds like babys head popped into position last night due to the pressure I could feel but it was back out again so its doing the hokey cokey - but I tell you what - baby best not "Do the hokey cokey and you turn around" because I wont be happy Grin

nicolamumof3 · 30/06/2011 20:54

Evening all sounds like we are full of final stage niggles thank goodness we are all nearly there eh? Not too bad here am wondering if it's a final burst of energy to get all done before baby girl makes an appearance??

Good luck pesha!

buttonmoon78 · 30/06/2011 21:57

Jimmy if it's any consolation at all, dd1 was 8lb15 and was the easiest birth of the three of them. The other two were 7lb11.5 and 7lb. So bigger doesn't need to mean harder!

I'm feeling a lot more chipper tonight. I think I'll try not to panic until Tuesday and then explain all my worries to my lovely MW. I know that she'll take it seriously so if need be, she would probably send me for another scan then.

TBH, I'm probably worrying about nothing. Having been so used to the way it was lying previously, I'm probably just unused to the way it is now. And last time, ds only spent a week head down (a week for which I was off my face on painkillers), dd2 was transverse until 37+6 so my last real head down experience is over 13 years ago! I can't remember what I had for tea let alone how that felt so long ago! Grin

I hope you're right Nic and that your dd is on her way soon!

I am so jealous of those who have a head engaged. I def no longer have the engaged at all. I went to the supermarket against DH wishes and I have pulled a muscle on the underbelly. DH took a look and called the obn because it is unlike any torn muscle he has felt before. The obn said it sounded like I had split my stomach muscles, that I was to ice it until tomorrow and come by for them to check me in the morning. So another day and another dr appointment! Tis a good thing I am not working. I am exhausted from all of these appointments.

Jimmy - still jealous of the cookies!!!

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 05:07

Man, I hope you have decent health cover want2be! At least over here it's free!

Poor you though. Now - will you just sit still and do as you are told?! Grin

Hi Button! Glad I'm not the only one awake at stupid o'clock!
Good luck Pesha - hope all is going well for you! About time!
Feeling sick and achey still and a bit crampy again but still a month to go here so very jealous of all of you that are so much closer! just hoping I do get to meet my baby this month!
White rabbits and all that!

Pesha · 01/07/2011 06:59

Still no baby Sad

Stayed at meal longer than I should have really, mil took the kids home, came into hospital just as contractions were starting to ease up Hmm Was still having them but milder, she examined me about midnight last night and I'm not even fully effaced and about 1cm which I've prob been for ages as 4th baby. Very Angry Can't believe ive been having all these contractions/ painful BH/ whatever for so long and they've done bugger all. But they have kept me in as I'm 'niggling' and baby still not engaged so still at risk of cord prolapse. Slept ok ish last night but last few hrs pains have been picking up again, about every 10 minutes but overall getting stronger although still not every time. I was completely convinced that was it yesterday, the way they hurt, the frequency, everything and then nothing. Feeling quite deflated. And now not sure what to do re dp and paternity leave, he had yesterday off as hol anyway but is rapidly running out of holiday (we have 2wks booked in aug) so doesn't want to use that today but can't really go into work but if he starts paternity and this all dies off I'm not booked for induction till a week Monday so he'll have wasted over a week of it Confused I said he may have to see if he can take today as unpaid compassionate leave or something.

Can't remember who asked about sweeps and on phone so can't check (using new mn iPhone app, picking up problems already!!). Mine hurt a lot but my cervix is very far back apparently which doesn't help, was going to be woman dr doing it but she couldn't reach so had to get male dr with big hands! He was very nice though and tried to distract me by talking about my other dc, he stopped and paused a few times when I was obviously in a lot of pain and then in the end I told him to stop as I couldn't take any more! But I am particularly sensitive or have an awkward cervix or something as I find sweeps really painful and found being examined last night pretty bad too. I think it's weighing up how desperate you are to not be pregnant anymore! But I don't think most people find it as painful as me so I'm prob not best person to ask!!

Pains getting pretty ouchy now

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 08:08

Fingers crossed pesha. Come one babypesh - give your poor ma a break!

I've never had a sweep - don't think I want one either!

Mini I might have been up then but I'm wilting fast now. Don't reckon I'm going to last til after lunch for my nap Smile

Morning all! JULY is here!! Come on babies out you come now!!

Shall we have a stats list of just due/induction/section dates so we know where we are with who's left??

I'll start..

Nicolamumof3 Due 16th Jul

nicolamumof3 · 01/07/2011 09:14

Pesha, hope baby comes soon for you, must be horrible not knowing and stuck in hospital hope not too hot/uncomfortable.

Dh left for work today at 8pm won't be home til about 11pm so full on day here. Made school run and fete cake drop off in one piece, home for a quick bit of toast and oj, then taking ds3 off for his swimming lesson (queue lots of sympathetic looks and 'how long have you got left?'s. Deep joy!

Sun still shining here and temp just nice looks like in for a nice weekend nothing much planned just want to take it easy now when i can. Hows everyone today?

Oh and pesha regarding dh unless he works a v.long way away i'd personally send him in to work? Was having this convo with dh last night he's really busy at work this week and starts a new job on Wednesday! So we've agreed I will only call him when im sure in labour, poss even at hospital!! Will call my mum first if need be she's half an hour away, and have plenty of friends to call on if absolute emergency. DH is only taking a week leave as new job.

minicorrect · 01/07/2011 09:18

Oh Pesha - your baby really is being naughty already with all these false starts!! Really hope things ramp up for you today - after all it is July now so it is allowed Wink. Keeping everything (except my legs) crossed for you now. Easier said than done, I know, but try and relax and just let nature take it's course if you can!

Button - what's a nap Confused?! Kitchen still being done, so still busy busy but the stress of it all and not being able to spend time on the baby stuff is keeping me awake at night despite being beyond shattered. Really can't see how he'll be finished today like planned either so not over just yet - and the tap hasn't turned up so looks like we'll have to spend more and get one from the sheds plus got loads to take back and a larder door to buy and flooring to sort out too. Only wish DP wasn't such a PITA and had ordered everything when I originally put the list together over a month ago instead of waiting until this week to voice doubts over everything. Spent most of yesterday on verge of tears despite a reasonably good night's sleep so not sure I'll hold it together today Sad

buttonmoon78 · 01/07/2011 09:37

Aha - that's the joy of having all dcs at school - peace and quiet during the day!

I too spent yesterday in almost tears for most of the time. I think I might have been panicking over nothing though. I went to the loo before leaving for school and thought I might wet myself before getting back home so I'm guessing baby is properly still engaged and leaning nicely on my bladder!

I need to go shopping this morning but am virtually barricaded in my house - I forget each time, but every year the Jehovah's Witnesses from 5 (I think) surrounding counties take over the local football stadium for a conference. Means at least 2 hours of solid traffic morning and evening right past the entrance to our estate. Still, at least they are better behaved than our notorious football fans and won't leave Wright's pies wrappers all over the place!

Buttonmoon78 Due 29th Jul, induction booked 15th Jul
Nicolamumof3 Due 16th Jul

SpannerPants · 01/07/2011 09:49

Sounds like a nightmare mini - bad enough without being heavily pregnant on top!

I woke up at 4.30am with period-like cramps and felt really excited that something might be happening, then couldn't get back to sleep so am knackered now. I've had a bit of what could be a show (white/clear jelly stuff?) but nothing else. I think it may just be the baby engaging as I've got a horrible trapped-nerve type pain in my right hip now which is making getting up and down the stairs interesting, as well as getting up to pee every hour!

Still, I've done the washing, unstacked the dishwasher, made a vat of chicken/sweetcorn/ham pie filling (DP's favourite) for the freezer, tidied the kitchen and had a shower, so I'm going to curl up on the sofa and watch Glee to cheer myself up! Oh and I'm going to book a nice reflexology session - at least if it doesn't kick labour off it will relax me :)

Nicolamumof3 due 16th Jul

ooh sweeps, having one a week today two days after I'm due. Beyond desperate for this to be over now, st uncomfortable. Cried in Costa coffee yesterday because dh had a bite of my sandwich and I was starving! Wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. Have noticed rapid weight gain, like everyday too! Ah well. Hope things are moving along for you Pesha, think I'll take on the role of the queue jumping police if babypesh puts in an appearance ;) lol x
