Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

Hi ladies,

5+3 here, and this morning was a bit rocky. Not exactly sicky, just 'not right'. Had a lay-in this morning and a 2hr nap this afternoon Shock
expecting the sickness to kick in any day now. Really wish I had kept a diary with DS!! would be great to compare symptoms.

Just had a fabby dinner and am now chilling out with the toddler in front of cbeebies. I love sundays!!

Oh, and no more bleeds! Hopefully there will be no more!

Spagbolagain · 22/05/2011 17:19

I got my scan appt as well, 24th June. It will be dating and nuchal, I will be nearly 13wks.
Am thinking of going for a private one in the next couple of weeks for dating. Since I had a mmc before DS, I would prefer to know sooner if possible tat everything is developing or not. I know it's no guarantees - last time everything looked fine with heartbeat at 9 weeks and then stopped growing at about 11- but at least I would know the odds are getting better. So think i'll go ahead. Also I am impatient :)

Sorry for yet another "me" post (I'm not always so selfish, honest!) but I've been bleeding again since midday and had some really bad cramps and a few clots. I fear it is actually game over but the scan tomorrow will at least give me a definitive answer (I hope).

Sorry to bring the thread down but I can't keep offloading on DH.

d0gFace · 22/05/2011 18:07

Sorry about the bleeding Ses, hope its not as bad as it looks and goodluck with your scan.

Dont think you have anything to be sorry for, its what the threads for and its good to unload.Brew

xkatyx · 22/05/2011 18:09

Oh hotcross you poor thing you must be so scared! Have you already had a scan? I personally haven't had any bleeds but no soooooooooo Many woman that have and it has all been fine.

I will have my fingers crossed for you.

I have a early scan booked in Tuesday afternoon really nit looking forward to it if I'm honest, I'm scared that the baby hasn't grown etc.

hotcrossSES · 22/05/2011 18:13

Thank you both. Am 6+5 in theory and I've not had a scan yet this pg. Will just have to try to rest and get a bit of sleep tonight. Appointment with EPU is at 9.50 in the morning.

tigana · 22/05/2011 18:14

ditto what dogface said, SES. Off loading here is totally fine...expected...normal, you know? Fingers crossed for you.

7 weeks. We have told the ILs. Much squealing and excitement! I have also told my friend...less squealing, but excitement and support (hurrah!)
All day nausea, retching, developing a phobia of opening the fridge...even though I have cleaned it out, it just smells so much....

Lime cordial or lemon squash are good for me at the moment, and I'm about to grab a slice of toast to get me through to dinner time without being sick.

xkatyx · 22/05/2011 18:44

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow

I so far have no symptoms apart from major hormonal 1 minute I could be happy the next I could kill then I could cry!
Also so hungry all the time!

I can't remeber when my sickness kicks in I think it was roughly 6/7 weeks

Spagbolagain · 22/05/2011 18:46

Everything crossed for you SES, really hope it goes ok. Try and stay positive until you know one way or the other, and please take it easy and get some rest.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow morning

Oh SES so sorry to hear you're having a hard time, but good for you to know you have the scan tomorrow I guess. FX for you.

I'm glad to say that I seem to have avoided my friend's child's chickenpox (which I've never had!) so that's a relief. I must have missed it by a few days, thankfully. It seems to be going round though...

Spent a lovely day with a friend's two little boys yesterday and went for a bike ride this morning before lunch with a friend. Cue talking about her pregnant friends and her asking if I ever expect to have kids. I just said I was sure I would at some point! I think I'll need to tell her on holiday in 3 weeks anyway so it was hard not to say anything today...
6 weeks tomorrow!

blueeyedmonster · 22/05/2011 19:24

Sorry about the bleeding SES, as pp's have said offload here thats what we are here for.

I hope your scan goes ok tomorrow.

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow too ghost We are going to tell family at the end of next week so i'll almost be 8 weeks. I do have 2 friends who know (one guessed!) but i'd tell them anyway so I don't mind. Can't wait to spring it on the family!

ghosteditor · 22/05/2011 19:33

Blue, I think I'm just being superstitious really by not telling anyone now. I just don't want to tell our families until I've seen the scan, and I worry that if I tell friends word will somehow get out!

I'm going to London to see friends four times in the next few weeks - guess I'll have to volunteer to drive a lot!

blueeyedmonster · 22/05/2011 19:39

I can understand that! Last time we told close friends and family at 5 weeks, I couldn't wait!

This time though we are being a little more reserved.........tbh I quite like having this little secret to ourselves and not sure if I even want to tell at 7 weeks !

shonnomanom · 22/05/2011 19:40

Oh Ses Relax and try to distract yourself tonight. I really do hope that everything is ok and that you have a happy scan tommorrow morning. Will be thinking of you x Ps, these threads are here for the extra support, please dont apologise

Looks like a lot of us are having our '12week' scan in the same week. Hopefuly the next few weeks will fly by!

Iv had such a lovely lazybones day with dd. Its been great and not too many dizzyspells Grin

tummytickler · 22/05/2011 20:08

hotcross so sorry you are are bleeding - hopefully the scan will be a good one tomorrow. If it helps I had a huge bleed with ds (one early at about 6 weeks and one at 17 weeks) and he is fine. Fingers crossed it is the same for you. Watch something funny on TV and have an early night.

My nausea is coming along nicely - felt pretty rough this afternoon. I was thrilled, but I think the novelty will wear off pretty quickly Grin
I will be 5 weeks tomorrow - hurrah! Trying not to tell a soul until after the 12 week scan though - will be hard to keep my mouth shut - especially when the ms kicks in!

Getting chinese food soon tonight - yum!

Mummaroo · 22/05/2011 20:43

Ses will be thinking of you tomorrow, really hope everything goes ok for you x

Had a weekend telling family, holding back from friends for now, but feel that family is different, mine were over the moon, DH's... underwhelmed would be the word really, there were congratulations and kisses but no real excitement, and SIL said 'it's a bit different with the 2nd one isn't it?' Think she was trying to help. Oh well, we're ecstatic, even with my back (prolapsed disc) but I will be getting support with that so hopefully everything will be ok.

More nervous about telling work, been off since Jan with said back and only just got the appt for the consultant on 10th June so hoping to be able to go back in beginning of July, don't think they're going to be overly impressed that I'm pg!!

Anyway, others of you have far more important and bigger things that you're worrying about and I'm just being silly, sorry to offload, have so much going on in my head at the moment!! Sorry for long post too x

hotcrossSES · 22/05/2011 20:49

Oh thank you lovely ladies!
You have given me another reason to hope for good news tomorrow - I don't want to have to leave this thread!

Yay Nanny thats great!

Broodyandnew2this · 23/05/2011 07:38

That's wonderful news, I was keeping you and all the other ladies going through tough times in my thoughts, congrats again. Well I think this week I might tell the outlaws, parents and my boss, but will hold back on broadcasting it to the world until my scan. I'm sure my colleagues will start guessing soon, in my mind at least I've developed quite a bump, and have gone from practically no boobs to c cups, how people around me. Have not noticed I don't know! I hope this week will be more of a relaxing one for everyone xx

LaBobkin · 23/05/2011 07:59

Morning everyone!

nanny that is great news!
SES hope all goes well today. Big hugs

... And also big hugs anyone else with worries.

I am still struggling to find an appetite but the nausea is really kicking in. Anyone else finding they get really travelsick these days?

Got our scan date for 27 June - it is all starting to feel a bit more real now. Decided to hold off telling work until we've got a confirmed EDD. Anyone planning to tell sooner?

Have a good day all!
